that's surprising that clac e fans follow magnus / malec blogs- since they pretty much like dislike the entire fandom who really doesn't like their ship

yeah like don’t get me wrong, not Every Single Clace Fan is like... Like That. but it surprises me bc clace stans tend to either be like. not malec fans. or book stans. or both. and since most of the fandom like.... the newer show fandom parts don’t like clace--i find it’s mostly younger people and fans of the books that like clace?) they tend to not like malec for being so popular and stuff? again, this is generalizing, i’ve even met some clace stans who are perfectly nice and like malec and aren’t into the books (similar to how sizzy stans are given a bad rap by both their book fan majority and the really loud assholes who say racist shit about saia and so on, despite the fact not Every Single Sizzy Shipper is like that) 

not sure how. coherent that was. the point is it kind of surprises me a clace stan would like my blog considering i hate the books, i strongly dislike clace and pretty much hate jace (also a Strong Supporter of the “clary is a lesbian actually” headcanon) and i’m all about magnus and malec (which like, again, clace stans generally tend to not focus on malec, let alone magnus) you know what i mean

Read the atrocious amount of hate under this #Climon post. This post was about happy Clary and daylighter Simon. Clary’s happiness does matter and it is sad that so many people in this fandom only care about Jace’s feelings. They seem to disregard what Simon felt during Clace and the inevitable pain he will feel later. Also, exploring a Climon storyline is not being hateful towards Jace or Dom. The lack of maturity here is astounding. 

The hate bandwagon, antis, and some of the Clace shippers are trolling, attacking, and spreading their harassment over Climon yet again. They bully and persecute so hard, that they intimidate the Climon shippers from posting their love for the ship on twitter. It is not right for this kind of negativity and extreme level of hate to be directed towards the official show account or the cast that is constantly being trashed over Climon. It is turning into a disease and this fandom has popularized a toxic groupthink against Climon and the antis are refusing to apply fandom etiquette when it comes to Climon! The Climon shippers for the most part, leave the Clace posts alone and we do not troll their tags. Please show us the same respect. Saphael, Clizzy, Jimon, and etc shippers....please be supportive and do not participate in this anti-Climon fest on social media. The whole, let’s pretend that Jace is being so victimized by Climon attitude, it is not canon endgame, and hostility can be applied against your ship. I am a Malec shipper as well and it is also very disheartening seeing many Malec blogs create this petty rivalry between Climon and Malec when there is none! Malec and Climon bear very little correlation to each other. A lot of Malec blogs, accounts don’t even ship Clace yet they contrive excuses to trash Climon just to fit in with the antis. This fandom needs to start behaving like adults. Climon shippers don’t attack the Clace shippers or troll the Clace posts from the official show account, cast, or crew. Please show us the same respect and apply basic fandom etiquette. 

Please display your love for #Climon under this post. Please direct positive comments to @Kat_McNamara and  @arosende

I have addressed this many times in reaction to the antis being extremely abusive against Climon but tumblr cleared the tumblr tag. If you do not ship romantic Climon, please do not tag your hate on the #Climon tag on tumblr and please apply this rule on twitter as well. #Climon tags and posts should be able to have the positivity that the other shipper posts have.

Kat and Alberto display great chemistry when depicting Climon. Their scenes are wonderful and play a significant role in their character developlment. Kat and Alberto as well as other cast/crew truly love this ship and they deserve to feel proud of their good efforts, not be trashed by immature opposing shippers or antis. 

I also summarize the factors that people use against Climon and the fact of the matter is that the show is a different animal than the books. Differing pairings are going to be explored on the show throughout the seasons besides the canon book endgames. Clace, Sizzy, and Malec will probably be the show endgames as well but let the other shippers/fans appreciate the journey of the characters and other ships please. Not everybody is obligated to love Clace or Sizzy. Have an open mind. A sweet ship like Climon does not deserve this kind of hostility/antagonism.

This is a long post but I am encouraging the #Climon shippers or people who simply enjoy their scenes to post positivity. Normally, it wouldn’t be important for a fandom to be demonstrative on twitter but in this fandom, it is necessary due to certain bandwagons going out of control. The writers, producers, and cast tend to take the twitter commentary to heart. 

Also, the level of misogyny in this fandom truly unsettles me. Not everything is about Jace’s man-pain. People need to actually care about Clary’s feelings and happiness. Simon deserves to have his period of happiness with Clary as well. Simon and Clary have a truly natural chemistry and great dynamic.

I just...I can't imagine them with anyone but each other, does that make sense?? Like I can only see them being together...I know CC said she won't write parabatai in love but her pins on Pinterest are not helping my heart because there's such a bond and I just would die if they could at least maybe be together....

Yeah, we know how you feel! In this case, it’s good to remember that we have been latching on to TLH even before we had any information on it or TDA. Putting together Nothing But Shadows with the pins and snippets Cassie provided (specially before we knew TDA would be the one to present a set of parabatai in love), it’s natural we paired James and Matthew together and got so attached to them being together together.

But, it’s also important to remember we still have no idea how TLH will play out! We barely know the main characters! So it’s very possible and more than likely that when we read the books and see more of all the characters’ interactions with each other and of the plot we will develop new ships and we will love them just as much as we love Heronchild now!

And whatever happens in canon doesn’t mean we have to stop shipping them either! Just like Malec and Clace and Sizzy being canon has never stopped people from shipping Jalec or Climon or Clizzy or Jimon or how Wessa and Jessa being canon (or Herongraystairs all together) doesn’t mean we can’t ship Heronstairs separately or Heronbane or Will with Gabriel or Tessa with Sophie or Jessamine or whatever we want. Ships don’t need to be canon to be good or worthwhile or for us to enjoy them just as much, they just need to make us happy!  The more you keep this in mind, the happier your shipping will be since you don’t have to get stuck on what is canon or not.

We know Matthew and James will be close and we know we will get amazing scenes of them together and there’s nothing stopping us from interpreting those scenes as romantic if we want! Cassie herself has already said many times all scenes can have multiple interpretations depending on who reads it and that she supports us shipping outside of canon. Of course we will be really happy if they do end up being together, but it’s not good to be so fixated on it you won’t be able to enjoy how the story plays out when it does happen. :)

Either way, this blog and all the other Heronchild fans will remain here and we will trade fics and headcanons and talk about them and love them forever.

Read the hateful commentry and attacks. This is why people have become scared of shipping romantic Climon, which is totally unfair given that every other shipper of a Clary or Simon pairing gets their safe space to express their support of the ship. The anti-Climon posts on twitter and tumblr is deeply out of control. 

These are just 3 examples out of a thousand, of the level of extreme hostility, hatred, and intolerance that the bullies/opposing shippers in this fandom feel entitled to express on social media. It is particulary bad on twitter. Harry actually got attacked over his Climon tweet with people threatening to ‘cancel’ him over it.The trashing against Harry is unacceptable for any group of shippers. You clearly witness this is a toxic bandwagon mentality. I didn’t even bring up Kat or Alberto’s tweets. Both of them like romantic Climon especially Alberto. I think they like most of the Clary and Simon ships in the fandom but they do seem to have a soft spot for Climon which will get its storyline on the show. I also never saw a fandom get such a militant attitude towards the ‘brotp’ label. 

The romantic Climon shippers keep getting harassed and then anybody who dares to like Climon as a romantic ship gets bullied & death threats. Enough is enough.

Then people keep throwing out the line, ‘that nobody ships Climon or nobody wants Climon’ when that is not true at all. 

Basically, many big blogs and twitter accounts stigmatized the concept of romantic Climon and created this really nasty groupthink mentality towards it that enables the worst kind of bullying and trolling.

If you ship Clace, Saia/Mimon, Jimon, Sizzy, or Saphael, you are not given a free pass to engage in this kind of harassment by dogpiling on the hate towards Climon or people who ship it.  The haters need to please stay out of the Climon tag. If you like it as a brotp only, then use the #Climon brotp tag or tag it differently or don’t tag so it does not appear on the Climon tag.  Honestly, a lot of people low key dislike romantic Clace but even a lot of those people love to hate on romantic Climon because they are sheep and the groupthink/follower mentality in this fandom is strong. 

The cast, crew, and etc genuinely are under the false impression that Climon is this terrible ship that nobody ships when I know thousands do ship it but they are scared of the bullying that goes on. I read another post where a person claimed that people don’t get worked up over Climon or stand up to the bullies because we know it is not endgame. However, that doesn’t entitle the fandom to engage in such nasty attacks or go on a witchunt over Climon. I do not see this kind of vilification of the other non-canon ships with Clary or Simon on a mass scale. Let the Climon shippers have their zone and freedom to express their love for the ship/storyline just like the Saia/Mimon, Jimon, and Clizzy shippers do. 

A person can use the same kind of argument against Clizzy, or Saia/Mimon, or Jimon or Saphael;  that the likelihood of any of those ships being endgame is next to nil. You know full well, that some of these other ships won’t ever be explored in canon. However, people have the right to ship what they want. I do not go into those tags and post hate against the other ships. The fandom guideline and common courtesy that is applied to shipping in general needs to be applied to romantic Climon as well. Do NOT post hate on the shipping tags. If you oppose a certain ship, do not tag that ship. It is a simple rule. The level of hatred and abuse that Climon gets as a romantic ship is completely uncalled for. 

I know there are plenty of people in this fandom who do support the romantic Climon storyline. I know people want to enjoy it while it lasts but they are scared of the bullies. The romantic Climon shippers deserve to be treated with respect and have their safe zone on twitter/tumblr,  just like the Saia/Mimon, Jimon, Sizzy, Clace, Clizzy, and Saphael shippers do. 

This bandwagon hate against Climon needs to stop. Kat and Alberto have great on-screen chemistry and obviously people are threatened by it because I do not see any of the other Simon or Clary ships get branded as taboo like this nor do they receive this degree of bullying or hate. People act like shipping romantic Climon should be banned and the automatic mention of it should be trashed with the shippers being mocked. This attitude is wrong. None of the other shippers would tolerate their ship being stigmatized this way with this level of sheep bullying. 

Like I said, not everything is about endgame. I know that it is unlikely that anything else but Sizzy and Clace will be endgame. I read the books. However, that doesn’t mean that people can’t enjoy the other ships that are explored in the series. Notice how Izzy/Meliorn or the current Simon/Maia storyline is allowed to have their love, shippers, and doesn’t get this kind of hate. The level of abuse that Climon receives is deeply unjustified. There have been tons of ships like Clary/Simon with the best friends to lovers trope that has existed in tons of fandoms. The whole, it ‘has to only be a friendship line’ is bs considering that same kind of line can be applied to Clizzy or Jalec or etc. Enough with the double standards and mass brainwashing against a good ship like Climon. Regardless of what you ship or support, in order for the characters to have their development with the triangles being resolved/ended, a Climon storyline is necessary to happen. 

For the romantic Climon shippers, I think it is time to be more vocal about supporting and loving romantic Climon. It breaks my heart because I know there are cast members and crew that do love the romantic Climon storyline. They deserve to know that there is support. I hate the hate for Climon. I hate that the fandom developed this lynch mob mentality against it to the point where the #Climon tags on twitter is pretty much full of anti-Climon posts from haters. 

Please show your support for #Climon on those twitter examples I listed in the beginning of the post. 

Tweet to the  @ShadowhuntersTV,  @FreeformTV,  @YShireenWhyNot,  @McGsWonderland, and especially  @arosende,  @Kat_McNamara your appreciation of the romantic Climon storyline and express that you ship it!

It is NOT fair or right that the bullying and hatred is so severe against a certain ship/shippers that people are scared to express their love of a ship. Climon will be explored romantically. Their scenes are wonderful and magical. I know there are others that appreciate their chemistry, compatibility, and overall bond. The Climon and Malec scenes are personally my favorite on the show. 

I think there needs to be Climon Support Network for the romantic Climon shippers due to the unfortunate circumstances in this fandom. If there are blogs that are devoted to just Climon, I hope that people can unite to show more support to the ship externally. All of the other ships have their circle of support and we deserve one too. 

I think somebody needs to step up and create a tumblr/twitter account for a Climon support network. Season 2 and especially season 3 should have its place to counter the negativity because Climon will be explored. I know there is a strong minority that wants to see a deep, intense, and passionate relationship for Climon and we need to stick together/speak out more.
