Just thinking about how in Thule, Simon was still able to get Glorious and give it to Clary but Clary was intercepted by Lilith and cast the sword into hell..

Does Simon blame himself?? Does he think if he stopped Clary from going to Sebastian and Jace she would still be here?? About how if maybe he didnt give her the sword she’d still be there?? Did he watch Lilith kill his best friend from child hood?? Did he hold her while she died??? Did he think about all there moments together??

Thule is literally so sick to there friendship like they meant everything to each other 😭😭 in this world they never got to be Parabatai, they’ll never go to each’s others weddings, that Clary will never know that Simon would’ve sacrificed himself to the demon of hell just so there friends could leave, Simon never got to be human 💔💔💔 in Thule Clary is forever 16 and so is Simon…

My favourite detail is that the backgrounds in these drawings reflect the characters and how they relate to each other. Clary is the sky and Simon is the moon and stars, but Jace is the sun. Simon is dark, the night’s child, and Jace is light, a child of the angels. Clary dreamed of Jace with bright golden wings, and Simon with dark black wings. Jace is brought back by an angel, Simon is taken away by a demon.

“If Clary and I are on standby to contain the Ravener, that leaves you as our primary responder should something go wrong as a result of the trial.” Izzy whipped her bracelet to her side, instantly converting it into its long, hardened polearm form. She grinned. “I’ll handle it.” “And Mr. Hedgehog here can alert the rest of the building,” the other Izzy added with a nod towards Simon. Simon looked like he might explode from joy. “You have no idea how relieved I am our worlds share the same media.” “I can imagine,” the other Izzy mused. She addressed the group at large. “Okay. We modified the device for a directed beam rather than a radial burst, but there’s still a chance we’ll get stray outputs. Just in case, make sure you’re standing behind the device. Ready?” Everyone moved into position. Clary held her stele before her, eyes locked upon the Ravener. Alec drew his bow and knocked an arrow, its searing tip trained on the Ravener’s head. Simon and Izzy moved to the edge of the protective glass, still shielded from the trial but ready to jump into action the minute either of them might be needed. Magnus’ eyes shifted over to a green glow, and data began writing across the other Izzy’s bracer. “Device on standby,” he placidly reported. The other Izzy took a breath, faced the device, and raised her bracer. “Alright. Let’s do this!”

simon and clary's relationship is soo important to me actually! They were thrown in a different, terrifying version of reality and the last shred of normality they have left is each others. When they first kissed, Simon knew something was wrong with him and Clary was dealing with fucking everything all at once and that's why they did it!!

They tried to fall back to their old schemes, they tried doing what everyone else from their normal life thought was gonna happen. Their relationship was an attempt at going back to normal but they are both too far gone for that!! Their innocence is already gone!!

Ship-wise, Climon isn't the best Clary-endgame in my books (that title will always belong to Clizzy) and I love Saia, but I can't deny that their chemistry, connection and scenes in general have always felt much more deeper and natural to me than Cl*ce's.

That’s exactly how I feel about the mortal instruments characters, and yes Magnus Bane is the best character.

I honestly find it difficult to care about ANY character in shadowhunters except magnus.

• Idr hate clary as much as the fandom does but she IS kind of boring and the typical YA protagonist.

• Jace is just...whipped for clary wfor no no particular reason?? I get that he relates to clarys situation and wants to help but like?? Bro?? You barely know her and she doesn't know shit about the shadow world tf are u doing? 😭

• Alec is fine ig, I relate to him and actually understand him and he's actually pretty ok-ish as a character but I need to see more of him.

• izzy is just...there. she is mediocre as well but she's fine?? Idrk

• Simon was actually the only rational character at the beginning and damn, I feel extremely sorry for him. But he feels really trope-y (mc's male BFF who's in love with her but she chooses the brooding bad boi over him).

• Magnus is just *chefs kiss*. I really like him and his sass, how fabulous he is, his diva complex, it's all just so entertaining to watch. I want to see him more outside being Alecs LI.

"I think it’ll be safer to set up one of our holding cells for the test. We minimize the risk to Mundanes, and if anything goes wrong that has us opening up a demon portal or something it’ll be in a controlled area flanked by plenty of Shadowhunters to deal with it.” Izzy snickered. “Guess my brother’s on board after all!” She gave him a playful pat of his shoulder on her way towards the main elevators. “I’ll go get a cell set up for the test. Text you when I’m done?” “Likewise,” he replied with a nod, moving to one of the armament panels lining the Institute’s control room. As he retrieved a bow and fresh quiver of arrows, he grumbled, “Let’s go catch us a Ravener.” “‘Catch’?” Alec’s eyes widened. Alarmed, he swirled around to intersect what he knew would be an at-best awkward situation— —but the other Izzy already had her bracer leveled between his mother’s eyes, lips pursed so tightly they’d nearly turned white. Beside her, Magnus’ arm mirrored hers, though his sported a split hand to expose an embedded blaster humming with swelling energy. An intense, yellow glow consumed his eyes, though it remained clear they focused upon a small, blue dot the other Izzy’s bracer projected upon Maryse’s brow. “Isabelle?” Maryse was murmuring, hands raised and anxious gaze fixated upon the bizarre and unsettling version of Magnus staring her down. “What’s going on?!”
