okok i do have to add one other thing, and it's at the end of that episode (7 or 8?) when MC feels a little guilty for suspecting him? (the fleet which he's a part of) she feels guilty and for a moment i was like yea... but then i remembered this guy made MC think he was dead for who knows how long, so any guilt i had dissipated LMAO

random unpopular opinion but with everyone on twt and tiktok complaining that mc's reaction to caleb was underwhelming i kinda disagree?? like ok yes she had every right to be angry at him for hiding that he was alive for so long but i think her being more relieved and happy to see him again makes perfect sense?? like that's her only companion/family/friend so ofc the first thing she's gonna feel is happiness to see he's not dead?? i do think they did a good job showing how her initial happiness starts to turn into doubt the more time she spends with him tho... honestly that's how it would've gone down if it were me !!

but anyways sorry for rambling let's get back to your point !!

i think infold wanted you to go through that exact process !! bc at first mc feels guilty for suspecting him bc well... that's caleb !! that's the caleb who has always been kind and looked out for her. in mc's eyes caleb is the embodiment of perfection... she cannot see him as someone who can do harm or do "bad things" bc that's just not the caleb she was exposed to! only after the chapters continue progressing does she start understanding the fact that oh wait.. maybe there's more to caleb than i ever realized.. and that's why she starts getting more bold with her accusations and anger !!

but yeah your guilt going away is probably EXACTLY what infold wanted... they want you to feel like mc.. first thinking oh it's our sweet childhood friend caleb how could i ever doubt him?? to then going oh wait he's been hiding things and maybe i need to be more curious and cautious...

... one of my craziest dreams ever was back in 9th grade i was sleeping, obviously, and in my dream i was in my foreign language class and i was sitting next to this guy in my class. we were holding hands?? and counting quarters together?? and then as we are counting, he says something along the lines of "i like you" and yk what i say vivi? "i know"??? which was weird cuz in my dream i liked him??

anyways i woke up in a haze and thought "noooo, i wanna go back to my dreeeeam :((" and then i fell back asleep, and FINALLY when i woke up for the day to get ready for school and once i remember my dream and how i wanted to go back to it, i just thought WHAT THE FUCK?? and then had a HUGE crush on this guy for the rest of 9th grade and 10th grade (even after i left that school)

yk what's even crazier? after that dream, i had tons of other dreams with him in it, and in every single one, he liked me and i played hella hard to get. every time. i still get dreams with him in it HELLO?? ITS BEEN ALMOST 4 YEARS??
