Whumptober Day 22 - Alfie Solomons
Alfie Solomons x gn!reader
Prompt: Chronic Pain
Trigger Warnings: Swearing
Summary: Getting Alfie to take a day off when his sciatica is bothering him is a full time job.
You woke to the sound of your husbands grumbling as he puttered around you bedroom, getting ready for the day. While it wasn't unusual for you to wake around this time, and watch the few peaceful moments he would have during the day, you could tell that something was off.
Propping yourself up on one elbow, you watched as he leaned heavily against the dresser, muttering a curse you couldn't make out. You recognized the odd shift in his stance in an instant.
"Are you alright love?"
Alfie startled at the sound of your voice, looking up and across the room at you, "Hm? What? I'm fine, treacle, you just go back to bed now, right?"
You sat up properly now, raising your eyebrows and crossing your arms, "Alfie..."
"'s just me sciatica, love, nothin' to worry about."
You let out a judgmental hum, and thinking that was the end of it, he went back to digging around in one of the drawers for whatever shirt he was looking for. Finally finding whichever one he was looking for, he straightened up, moving across the room stiffly, and muttering to himself, "Now where the bloody hell did I put..."
Without a word you slipped out of bed quietly, darting through the silent house to retrieve his cane from where he had left it in the study the night before.
When you returned, he was sitting on the edge of the bed, running his hand over his beard.
"You ought to stop leaving this around." You said, handing the cane over.
He sighed but took it gratefully, "Thank you, treacle."
You sat down beside him on the edge of the bed, nudging his shoulder with yours, "Maybe you should stay home today. I know you don't have any important meetings."
"Maybe not any meetings, but inventory is coming up, and I need to go over the adding before my next meeting with that fuckin Shelby wanker," He rubbed a hand over his beard once more, "And it really ain't that bad."
You tried to hold back a scoff, nodding seriously, "Oh yes, of course. And none of that could ever be held off till tomorrow."
"Well-"
You cut him off, pressing a kiss to his temple and standing up, "Right. I'm going to go make some breakfast."
A few minutes later, you were halfway through scrambling some eggs when Alfie lumbered into the kitchen, leaning heavily on his cane. You pursed your lips, but said nothing, turning to the stove top.
Out of the corner of your eye, you could see Alfie reluctantly taking the pain medication he'd been prescribed for particularly bad days.
"Are you sure you can't just stay home, Alf? If it's bothering you that much-"
"Don't you go trying to tell me what to do-" He pointed a finger at you, "I am a grown man, I can take care of myself thank you very fucking much."
"That doesn't mean you should have to," You moved your pan off the burner, moving to wrap your arms around his waist, "Let me take care of you, darling."
Almost automatically, his arms were wrapping around you in return, but he kept up his grumbling, "I've got things, treacle, right, that I need to do, and I'm fine anyway. Just making a big fuss over nothin."
"Mhhhm. What if I just go call Ollie myself and tell him not to let you into your office, hm? What then?" You asked, pulling away enough to look at him.
He wagged his finger at you again, "Ah, but Ollie's to scared of me to keep me out all day."
"He might be scared of you threatening him, but I think he'd be more scared of disappointing me." You said gravley.
Alfie locked eye with you for a long moment, and a battle of wills commenced. You would keep this up all day, even if it meant following him all the way to the bakery, sitting in his office all day, and not letting him get one ounce of work done, for your begging him to take a load off.
You knew that, and he knew that. It took a few long moments before he finally looked away, conceding.
"Right, fine. Since you put it that way."
You beamed, pressing a kiss to his whiskery cheek, "Wonderful. Now, you sit right down there, and after breakfast I will run you a nice, hot bath."

Rick is known to mirror myths a lot (Silena-Clarisse and Patroclus-Achilles, Polyphemus' cave, Hercules' labors, etc) He could and SHOULD have mirrored the Trojan war in HOO.
Let me set the scene. Gaea doesn't pop up until the last couple books. It's easy to be scared of something that is mentioned but not seen, which in my opinion, is why Gaea in the HOO books just wasn't scary enough.
So the antagonists in the first few books are the Giants working under Gaea's orders. Percy is kidnapped by them and given to the Romans in the hope that the Greeks and the Romans will go batshit crazy in a fight and forget all about the prophecy of the seven and destroying Gaea or whatever.
Camp Halfblood is fully ready for war. As soon as they find out (through an oracle or smth idk) that the Romans exist and they have Percy, not even Chiron can stop them. Percy is the hero of the Battle of Manhattan, of course, and the hero mentioned in the last great prophecy. He's like their modern Aristos Achaion.
Meanwhile, the Romans have no clue what's going on. There's this guy he's funny, he has no memories, he just shows up at their wolf goddess and trains and gets sent to them. Cool.
Juno can't stand to see New Rome be attacked. Whether or not they would win is a whole different story. So she plucks Jason from CJ and brings them to the Greeks just for some sort of a balance.
This mirrors the Trojan war in the sense that Troy was a fortified city, so is New Rome with tons of forts and walls. Aeneas' lineage went on to be Remus and Romulus, the founders of Rome. And Helen of Troy was stolen from the Greeks.
Anyway so there's that conflict, but at the same time Camp Halfblood is getting ready to attack, Jason, Piper and Leo get sent on a quest to rescue Hera who has been captured by Porphyrion and Enceladus.
On the way, Jason starts to regain his memory a little bit, though he doesn't know everything yet. He's still super conflicted with everything. A pretty girl thinks they were dating, Leo says they were best friends, Annabeth says the Romans are enemies. But whom should he really believe?
Piper's whole arc through the first book could be about how she's the daughter of the goddess of beauty, she wrongly assumes her fake crush on Jason was her mom's fault. And she's learned so much bad stuff about her mom from myths, she outright rejects feminity and anything remotely girly at first but then slowly she gets to know Aphrodite isn't as bad as some myths make her out to be. Bonding and shit bc why should Poseidon be the only present godly parent?
Leo, meanwhile, has no idea he can essentially fire bend in the first book. His arc could be about discovering his mother's death was his fault, slightly and coming to terms with it with the help of his friends.
Reyna on the Roman's side is freaking out bc Octavian wants to go to war with the Greeks who are close to attacking them, there's a strange dude who keeps trying to pick fights with gods, a horse girl and not to mention monsters won't fucking DIE.
SON trio go on their quest to Alaska to kill Alcyoneus/ release Thanatos and things are getting clearer to them as well. Just when the Greeks are about to attack on CJ, Polybotes and the monsters attack as well. Somehow, both sides end up fighting the monsters together.
They're not friends, but they're not enemies either, bc Percy is reunited with his gf and Jason is returned to his home.
The Roman senate and the Greeks somehow come to the same conclusions- that a quest needs to go to their ancient lands. Over the next few months the work of the Argo II commences.
Things seem smooth for a while. But Gaea grows restless. She poisons Octavian and manipulates him through dreams and stuff like Kronos did to Luke. As is the nature of most Roman emperors, Octavian overthrows Reyna and declares himself the leader of New Rome like his namesake Octavius Caesar. (HAHA! HISTORY PARALLEL BITCHES)
This puts the actual quest on hold bc the seven now need to find the Athena Parthenos to bring together the Greeks and the Romans and to stop Octavian's plan of trying to fuck as much shit up as possible.
Reyna, Nico and say idk, Grover, are the ones to deviate from the quest and bring the statue to USA again. But the Seven are still very much in Europe after rescuing Nico.
Percy and Annabeth fall into Tartarus which helps close the Doors of Death, except this time since Nico isn't there, Hazel has to take on control over ghosts and the dead in the House of Hades and leading up to it. The powers of mist, in my opinion, should have gone to Piper since charmspeaking is a lot like bending the mist verbally.
Piper's arc through the third and fourth book is starting to discover herself and with the help of her mother, figuring out she doesn't like Jason romantically like she thought she did.
Hazel's arc is gaining control over what she once was (dead). She's jealous her dad was there more for Nico than her, but she pushes past it and never lets her anger and grudges get the better of her which is like breaking boundaries for children of Hades/Pluto.
Frank's arc in HOH was really cool, I like that. So no change to that.
Jason, poor guy is still very much confused about everything really. He's used to being the leader, he feels lost in the large group. He has his moments to shine ofc (please take away his excess amounts of head injuries), but he starts to feel inferior, which is where Leo helps him bc the guy knows what that's like.
Anyway, in the absence of Percy and Annabeth, Jason has to take charge. He discovers he doesn't really like it. That's not what he was meant for even though he had greatness thrust upon him at a very young age.
His BOO arc is earlier this time and takes place throughout HOH and BOO. He's content with himself, even if he isn't with anyone. HE'S THE ONE THAT GETS SENT TO OGYGIA!!!
And Calypso eventually does fall for him bc he's smart, nice, and just an overall swell guy. But he helps her to realize that she can be content in herself as well. And he promises her that he'll help her.
Show me Leo, Jason and Percy trying to think of ways of helping the goddess.
In any case. BOO could have been like Iliad pt 2 also known as the Odyssey. It takes them the whole book just to get to Athens. Meanwhile, they've understood that Gaea is the main main villain. She's even raised some of the other primordials against them.
Percy and Annabeth already saw Tartarus, and then there's Oceanus who makes their travel much harder than necessary. Something something about how they get tossed all over the place and somehow manage to gather all the correct ingredients for the potion (i forgot the name lol) on their small adventures in the different places. In the end they finally make it to Athens. Except this time, there's only a few giants there bc they killed the rest before.
Annabeth and Percy are taken hostage, like it happens in the books, but PERCY WILLINGLY GIVES UP HIS BLOOD TO RAISE GAEA RATHER THAN LETTING ANNABETH GET HURT BC OF HIS FATAL FLAW LIKE ATHENA TOLD HIM WOULD HAPPEN EVENTUALLY!!
The Gods DON'T SHOW UP PLEASE!! That was so lameee. Why even do the whole quest if their mommies and daddies were going to show up to help them????
So while Percy and Annabeth are battling the remaining few Giants, Leo, Piper, Hazel and Frank go up against Gaia herself. In the old myths four titans held Ouranos down while Kronos chopped his essence up. In the same way, they battle Gaia away from her turf in the air, keeping her distracted enough. All these demigods are needed because she's a primordial dammit!
Jason, my guy, comes in a clutch, chops her to pieces and sends her essence to Tartarus!!
The world is saved, the end!

Actor Matthew Settle, having personally auditioned with Tom Hanks for a number of leading roles, won the part by delivering steely performances of key scenes. During the casting process, Hanks branded Speirs “a dark character.” Settle unequivocally embraced this categorization as filming commenced in England.
[...]Ron conveyed to Dick. “This TV business is all smoke and mirrors anyway. They can put my nametag on some guy and pretend it is Sparky. They are faking the combat scenes with a stand-in playing Sparky, so why not finish it up that way? I am just not up to the hassle and pressure of an interview. This is not what you want to hear, but I want to be candid about my situation.” Few were more disappointed in Speirs’s decision than Matthew Settle. Many of his fellow actors forged enriching relationships with the veterans they portrayed. Settle was denied this luxury. “It seemed as though he wanted to shy away from the whole process of Band of Brothers,” Settle later noted of Speirs. “He wasn’t quite sure in what light it would leave him.” Because filmmakers lacked Speirs’s direct input regarding his more controversial traits, they “presented the idea to the audience and let them decide whether or not he had killed prisoners and perhaps his own men,” said Settle. “I think that was tastefully done. But perhaps that was why he wasn’t open to being spoken to.”
The absence of Settle’s mysterious character in episode one of Band of Brothers permitted the actor to discover his character in other ways. While the rest of the cast shot the series introduction in England, Settle retraced Speirs’s steps across Europe on an odyssey of his own. He visited France, toured museums, and sought out sites where Speirs had fought. Settle ventured into the Bois Jacques, discovered Easy Company’s foxholes, and was warned to watch out for live ordnance as he did so. At Foy—where Speirs embarked on his iconic run—the actor traversed the wide field and was amazed to see dwellings in town that still bore scars of battle. He ventured all the way to the Eagle’s Nest in Germany. “It made it really come to life for me,” Settle said of the journey. “I’m very happy that I was able to do that.”
Deprived of the ability to converse with Speirs, Settle searched for perspectives on leadership in battle. In addition to reading several Ambrose books, he leaned on Captain Dale Dye—the film’s technical advisor who himself was a decorated combat veteran. “You gotta help me find this guy,” Settle implored to Dye. “Who is he? What’s his tone?” The subsequent coaching greatly benefited his performance: “I had a natural finality that served his character well.” On film, Speirs was stern, direct, and honest. Settle relished interpreting the Speirs mystique—a colorful balance of bravery and secrets. He naturally considers the Speirs scene at Foy his favorite of the miniseries.
[...]A 1,000-person tent was erected on site for a gala and the screening of a ninety-minute compilation of Band of Brothers scenes. Amid all the activities, Matthew Settle finally conversed with his character in the flesh. “When I actually met Speirs, he seemed like he was stoic and quiet and passive,” Settle recalled. “He definitely seemed like a person that may have been hurt once or twice in his life.” The actor’s observations of Speirs during the debut itself were even more affecting. “I sat next to him and Winters as they watched the invasion on screen together,” said Settle. “I honestly just watched the two of them. I couldn’t help myself…. It was powerful. They were reliving it.”
Settle regretted that his interactions with Ron were so fleeting. “I never really got into any deep conversations because Speirs was always very hesitant to talk about anything deeper than just the weather. A lot of the vets would approach him and he would say, ‘Which war?’ I don’t know if he was pretending not to remember them or what.” Speirs’s question was likely an earnest effort to distinguish those who served under him at different stages of his career. Self-consciousness of his hearing loss further precluded him from active conversation.

~Marriage au~ (part two)
So, I was drawing this post when the idea strikes me kabdksdhsls and now it’s a thing.
We all know the whole idea of Adam becoming a sinner, well that’s basically the start of the story. He becomes a sinner, he gets in the hotel, he manages to make a deal with Lucifer in exchange of his soul, BUT, that’s like way after. Why? Because in this au Adam soul was trapped to some random overlord, no, it’s not Alastor, Vox or Valentino. It’s somebody else just as powerful. The whole reason Adam gave his soul to him wasn’t outta free will, it was because this demon in peculiar has this ability to make people do things they don’t want to do (hypnosis?? Idk similar to Vox ig), which Adam was a victim of. He made Adam “willingly” exchange his soul for an offer. This was before he managed to get to the hotel. So now he’s trapped to this guy.
The only ones who can see Adam being chained are demons that are also on a leash that includes Alastor. And this is how Lucifer found out about it because he overheard Alastor taunt Adam about it with very subtle words but Lucifer caught on immediately.
Which is where the plot begins.
Lucifer takes Adam aside and starts making a huge deal about it which Adam refused to admit it was even true.
Somehow in the long run Lucifer managed to get Adam to blurt out the truth after many attempts to gain his trust or at least make Adam accept his help (didn’t take long tbh, kinda like 2 hours after the confrontation).
So they both went to talk to the demon who owned Adam and Lucifer wasn’t planning on leaving there until he managed to have Adam’s soul free. The bad thing was that this overlord was quite power hungry and the fact that the KING of hell seemed desperate for this soul alone was an opportunity he couldn’t let down (he kinda figured being the first man his soul would be priceless in comparison to other sinners which is why he caught him in the first place but he wouldn’t have guessed that King Morningstar would want it after the battle they had it was shown those two didn’t get along.) but anyways.
So he offered Adam’s soul for the exchange of Lucifer giving up on the throne which was laughable. Lucifer denied, obviously, and Adam just kinda accepted defeat. But Lucifer didn’t give up on that, they tried other methods from ancient scrolls to old rituals but nothing worked to set Adam’s soul free. Lucifer didn’t want to resort to this but he had no other choice by the looks of it. A soul contract is a very powerful thing which is why it’s almost unbreakable, but he was the king of hell. He had an immense power that COULD break a soul contract. But thats only if…
Adam spiritually gives himself to Lucifer in marriage in a holy union. Aka upon the eyes of God.
Which of course this is beyond breaking everything Lucifer stands for and his pride.
So this is where their deal commenced.
“Adam I will set you free, I will put my faith in God again to break that contract, my union with Lilith; everything I fought so hard to keep. I will sacrifice it all, myself, just for you to receive freedom again. But the only thing I ask for in exchange is your soul.”
“Seriously?! After literally everything we did to get myself free from that asshole you’re gonna get my soul stuck to you seconds after?! Speak of the fucking devil.”
“Adam for the love of my damn father! I’m literally sacrificing my marriage, connecting with my dad, throwing my pride away. Literally fucking marrying you! For a whole damn year! for your selfish underserving ass! I must get something back for it. Take it or leave it.”
Adam thought for a bit before shrugging. Yeah, it was a bitch, but it was unlikely for Lucifer to do something that bad when Charlie is involved in Adam’s self growth as a person.
“Okay. Deal,” he extends his hand towards Lucifer assuming it was a normal type of deal and the devil sigh.
Unfortunately for them, a holy marriage is supposed to be set in the tradicional terms.
He summoned a box with a golden serpent ring and kneeled down swallowing his pride and accepting Adam as his spouse.
“Adam, would you, the first man accept me; King Lucifer Morningstar as your faithful and loyal husband?”
This startled Adam of course, cause what the fuck was Lucifer doing.
Adam huffed incredulous, “Loyal I doubt it.”
Lucifer tsk sourly already regretting this but held it in. That could wait after their stupid church wedding.
“But sure, whatever…” Adam blushed embarrassed by the whole thing (after all he never experienced something like this before, a marriage proposal; considering he was already born married or given wives), offering his hand while Lucifer looked up a bit before his gaze fell back down to Adam’s fingers and gently slid the ring on his wedding finger.
Suddenly Lucifer and Adam appear in a church house with the grim reaper as their priest and the wedding begins.
“In the name of God, I, Lucifer Morningstar, take you, Adam, to be my husband, to have and to hold from this day forward, for better, for worse, for richer, for poorer, in sickness and in health, to love and to cherish, until parted by death. This is my solemn vow."
Adam blushed some more, he wasn’t sure why he was being an emotional bitch about it when all of this wasn’t entirely willing but still, he was actually experiencing a wedding in the point of view of a groom.
Adam wasn’t sure what to say but to replicate Lucifer’s vows.
“In the name of God, I, Adam, take you, Lucifer Morninstar, to be my husband, to have and to hold from this day forward, for better, for worse, for richer, for poorer, in sickness and in health, to love and to cherish, until parted by death. This is my solemn vow."
Lucifer bit his lip, feeling unsure all of a sudden. Was he really gonna do this just for Adam? He looked at his wedding band; the memories, the only thing he had left linked to Lilith. Once he accepts Adam as his, his ring would evaporate and his soul would forever be bounded to Adam.
He winced his eyes shut letting the reaper finish the ceremony.
“So I will repeat this again, in case someone is already rethinking this and wants to flee to the nearest exit which is right at the left end,” the grim reaper side eyes Lucifer, “Do you Lucifer Morningstar accept Adam to be your lawfully wedded husband?”
“I do.”
“Do you Adam accept Lucifer Morningstar to be your lawfully wedded husband?”
“I-“
Adam also had his own doubts, his promises to Eve, the connection he once had for her, the faithful and love for the mother of his children. All of that smacked him in the face with each passing second of the ceremony. He hasn’t even thought of Eve in so long.
“I do.”
The reaper gestures Lucifer to give his ring.
Lucifer winced harder feeling a tear wanting to slip out as he starts.
“Adam, I give you this ring as a symbol of my vow, and with all that I am and all that I have, I honor you, in the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Spirit,” he slid the ring on Adam. Already sensing the ring that belonged to Lilith turning into dust as he stepped back, falling off his fingers ready to be replaced with Adam’s. Shit.
Adam was given a ring to place it on Lucifer’s wedding finger. He gulped, awkwardly getting ready for his part.
“Lucifer, I give you this ring as a symbol of my vow, and with all that I am and all that I have, I honor you, in the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Spirit,” he places it on Lucifer’s finger, sealing their bound.
They both watched as the gold of their rings brightened and tightened in their skin.
“I here by declare you; Lucifer Morningstar and Adam Morningstar: king and king consort of hell. You may kiss the groom.”
Adam flinched disgusted, Lucifer cringed while swallowing and mustering the courage to peck Adam quickly.
And that sealed it. In the eyes of the holy spirit they were married. The holy light washed over them as the church bells rang announcing their strong union. Adam’s contract with the overlord broke as the power of their holy union broke it.
After Adam’s little scene of being set free from his contract was done, everything vanished and suddenly they were at a hotel room, lighted by candles and seductive music.
They both looked around, Adam confused, Lucifer just startled by the abruptness.
“Yeah. This is where things get awkward,” Lucifer admitted.
So a week passes and they act like all of that never happened. Everyone at the HOTEL was oblivious of the whole thing but eventually the news spreads around and Charlie finds out from a sinner.
“King Morningstar! Congratulations for your beautiful groom,” he then bows at both Adam and Lucifer.
Lucifer tenses when it happens and notices Charlie’s odd stare.
“I don’t know what he’s talking about, haha, he must be a little cookoo,” he swirls his finger next to his head, nervous. Adam just face palms by how awful Lucifer is at lying.
Of course Charlie doesn’t seem to believe his bullshit so Lucifer quits it.
“Okay, it’s not what you think and it’s absolutely TEMPORARY,” he explains in a quickly fashion, “Adam was trapped, I offered my help, the guy wanted the throne I denied. Only method to get Adam free was something more powerful than a soul contract and that was a holy marriage. And now, we’re married. Temporarily.”
Somehow, and as weird as it was, Charlie and the rest kinda swept it udder a rug. So the whole incident was kinda not a big deal (bc it’s not legit if they don’t actually like each other, still weird tho), both acted like normal and normally they’d just tried laughing off any comments about their marriage. Until it actually becomes a big deal.
When Lucifer starts feeling awkward or annoyed when someone approaches Adam with all intentions on trying to fuck him.
“AHAHA! Wowie! How fun, now get your filthy hands off my husband.”
And everytime Adam would question that, Lucifer would shrug it off as.
“I have to keep the part.”
You can imagine the drama, mix and confusing feelings and new found jealousy. And all of that in this.
So yeah. Thats the au 😭

Whose POV is it Anyway?
The End?
DO NOT ASK NEIL ABOUT FAN THEORY
We're here. We did it. We made it to the final episode. I'm so proud of us.
For reference & context, I recommend reading these posts:
Whose POV is it Anyway? - Introduction
POV "Your 'Something's Wrong' Voice"
POV a Trip to Hell and a 25 Lazarii Miracle
POV a Companion to Owls
POV The Dirty Donkey & I think I Found a *Clue*!
POV Bodysnatchers & Cosplaying a bookseller
POV 1941
POV The Ball
Lens Filters
Lets fuckin go baybee.
Up until the demons are accidentally allowed into the bookshop, the filter is clearly still the warm and hazy Bronze Glimmerglass of Aziraphale's POV. This is clearly visible after the demons enter and Aziraphale activates the portal. When viewing the top down shots, Aziraphale/Maggie/Nina's side is warm and golden toned, and the demons side is cold and green.
As the bookshop battle commences the lighting gets cooler and cooler toned as the demons move farther into the bookshop. The lighting is still warm around Aziraphale when he removes his halo, but once it's blown up, we've instantly lost the warm glow and everything is now cool and dark toned.
Throughout Crowley's entire stint in heaven with Muriel, the lighting is cool and bright, and Crowley's sideburns are long. I'm going to give this an inconclusive POV.
When Crowley comes back to the bookshop with the archangels the lighting is still cooler, I would say its most similar to the Black Diffusion FX (BDFX) filter, however there is a fair bit of haziness so it may also be the Black Pro Mist (BPM) filter, and his sideburns are still long.
Gabriel then recovers his memories. And I think this next bit is key when we think of the filters.
The first memory we see is the Tadfield aribase. I did go back and compare this scene to season 1 and it is a fair bit more saturated and warmer toned than it was graded in season 1. I would say that's because Gabriel is now remembering this memory through his lens of how he now views Beelzebub.
The Russian Cafe memory is next, and the scene is very green toned, dark and cool. It reminds me clearly of the Black Pro Mist filter often used for Hell.
The American Bar memory is not nearly as dark, but still a bit cool toned and saturated. I'd say this one uses the Black Diffusion FX filter.
The Resurrectionist Pub is warm, golden, and hazy with fuzzy halos around the lights & I believe we're seeing it through the Bronze Glimmerglass filter.
3 stages of their relationship. Strangers at odds, then cautiously on the same page, then optimistically absorbed in their love for one another.
We return to present day scenes in the bookshop and these are all cool toned, and I would say in the BDFX filter.
... and I'm pretty sure the filter doesn't change the entire rest of the episode. The debate about Gabriel and Beelzebub, the conversation with the Metatron, the final 15. It stays the same, and Crowley's sideburns remain long. And I'm also going to give it an inconclusive POV label. We've reached some sort of equilibrium?
Don't worry, I'm ending this post here, but I'm following it up with my conclusion, and you don't even have to wait to read it! There's too much to summarize my feelings after writing these analysis at the end of this one post, it deserves it's own thing!

The chill of the night air wrapped its cold arms around Ria’s trembling form as she sat huddled in the dirt. She had bolted towards the outskirts of the camp, away from the loud party that was being held in its centre, down by the flowing river that trailed alongside the camp grounds. This was the only place that wasn’t occupied by the masses of tieflings that had swarmed the camp.
Bringing her knees close to her chest, she allowed the tears to spill down her cheeks until her vision became a hazy blur. The events of the day flooded her brain like some vivid nightmare as she attempted to process everything that had happened. The truth about the disappearance of her kind had been answered for her and she struggled to comprehend it. Was this all her kind had been reduced to? Products to be bottled up and devoured without a second thought? Is that all she was worth?
Was I made to be devoured? Am I just a piece of meat?
Sobs racked her body heavily, gasping for breath in between each of them, as she allowed all her anguish to flow freely. Her chest heaved with each exhale and she huddled closer to her legs in a feeble attempt to keep warm. The surrounding air was cold to the bone, and her frail clothes weren’t offering much to help retain any body heat.
Astarion’s face flashed in her mind, and her sobbing slowed. She remembered seeing his face as he drove a dagger through Minthara’s chest before clamping his jaws around her neck moments before she passed out. Astarion had saved her life for a second time, however, this time it was intentionally unlike before with the goblins. Not to mention he had protected her and carried her back to camp inside his pocket when he easily could’ve just left her there.
Conflicting emotions battled intensely in her brain. She certainly hadn’t forgotten the whole ordeal of being inside his mouth, but at the same time she couldn’t push away the fact that he had purposefully saved her from Minthara.
“Vampires seem to be intoxicated as soon as they get a taste of it. They easily become addicted, as if it’s like a drug to them.”
The drow’s words echoed clearly in her brain. It certainly explained why Astarion was so intent on eating her when they had first met. And he had a taste of her blood for quite some time now…was she even safe being around him anymore? Not like it was very safe to be around him beforehand anyway, but at the same time, he did seem to be acting nicer towards her as of late, and he had saved her life. Astarion himself wasn’t even aware of the intoxicating nature of her blood. And yet, he had cradled her with his tongue as if she had been made from porcelain, when he had most likely been battling his vampiric nature to eat her. Flashes of brilliant white teeth and the warm, soft sensation of the vampire’s tongue flickered in her brain. It had been an utterly terrifying ordeal, as it had resurfaced memories from when she had first met the pale elf, and at the time she hadn’t been sure if he was going to eat her or not. It would’ve been so easy for things to have gone horribly wrong. She shook her head lightly and pushed the thought to the back of her mind.
Ria wasn’t sure what to think. So many things had happened all in the span of one day and her brain kept on darting from one thing to the next. Her gaze raked down towards her hands, still bewildered that she had somehow managed to summon a blast of magic. The sensation of the Weave had long since left her and she was now met with a hollow, sinking feeling of nothingness in her gut. Whatever had possessed her to cast the spell, it had long since gone. Perhaps when she was feeling better, she could discuss this matter with Gale. If anyone could teach her anything about harnessing the Weave, it would be the wizard. Borrowers controlling the Weave was something she had never even heard of. She wondered if her parents had known it was possible.
Her thoughts were interrupted when the soil beneath her feet thudded rather violently. Freezing in place, her heart pounding in her chest, she craned her neck upwards. She relaxed when she saw that it was only Shadowheart approaching her. The half-elf paused in her tracks, her emerald gaze focusing on Ria’s tiny form on the ground.
“Mind if I join you?” she asked softly, a wine glass in hand.
Ria wiped her tearstained face with the back of her sleeve. “S-sure. Make yourself comfortable.”
If it had been anyone else, she probably would’ve denied them. But Shadowheart seemed to have an understanding aura about her that Ria couldn’t quite explain. Perhaps talking to someone was what she needed at that moment.
Shadowheart sat down next to the borrower, but with a considerable distance between them.
“I think you could use a drink,” Shadowheart said, revealing a thimble pinched in between her index finger and thumb.
Ria blinked away her remaining tears and watched as the cleric dropped a small amount of wine from her own glass into the thimble. Very slowly, she deposited the thimble in front of where Ria was huddled in the dirt.
“T-Thanks.” Ria glanced down at the thimble full of alcohol that sat directly in front of her.
Some mind-numbing wine was exactly what she needed after what had happened today. Immediately she grasped the thimble with both hands and thrust it towards her face, taking hungry gulps of the liquid as if she was parched for the substance.
“Careful not to drink that too quickly,” Shadowheart said, her eyes widening as she watched the tiny borrower devour the wine like she hadn’t had anything to drink for days.
Ria placed the half-full thimble on the ground, releasing a long exhale.
“I really needed that,” she said numbly, pushing strands of red hair out of her eyes.
“I’m not surprised,” Shadowheart replied with a weak smile.
“Today has been utterly horrible,” Ria sniffled, blinking back more tears that were beginning to well in her eyes.
“Do you want to talk about it?” Shadowheart asked gently, concern reflected in her green eyes.
She wasn’t sure why she felt the need to tell the cleric what had happened, perhaps it was the wine, but she proceeded to tell everything to Shadowheart. Shadowheart remained silent, nodding a few times, the half-elf’s eyes growing very wide when Ria described certain events.
When Ria had finally finished telling Shadowheart everything, she took another large gulp of wine from the thimble as the cleric processed the borrower’s retelling of events in shock.
“And that’s why my dagger was in Astarion’s mouth,” Ria said, her words slightly slurred as the effects of alcohol were starting to take hold.
Shadowheart was at a loss for words and took a swig of wine from her own glass.
“My goodness, Lady Shar above…” Shadowheart struggled to think of the right words to say. “I’m so sorry that happened to you. I can’t possibly imagine what you must be feeling right now.”
Ria only managed to give the cleric a small nod in reply before she downed the rest of the wine that was in her thimble, holding it up high above her head as she attempted to get every drop, not caring if some of it spilled down the side of her face and onto the ground.
“You might want to slow down with the wine,” Shadowheart commented.
“Too late for that.” Ria placed the empty thimble on the ground, wiping her mouth with the back of her hand. “I stink like beer and blood and I’ve had the worst day imaginable. I’m going to drink as much as I can.”
“Fair point. I won’t stop you.”
Ria flashed a weak smile at the cleric before heaving a long sigh.
“I…I don’t know what to think anymore,” Ria murmured, her voice breaking. “Discovering that my kind is some kind of addictive drug for vampires was not what I was expecting.”
Shadowheart narrowed her eyes in thought. “Well, I don’t think anything could prepare you for that revelation.”
“And I don’t know if I can show my face to Astarion,” she rasped. “After what happened, I…it…it’s all so much.” She inhaled a shaky breath. “What if he tries to eat me again? I thought maybe we were starting to get along, but…” Her voice trailed off, her gaze focusing on the flowing river in front of her, shimmering in the soft rays of moonlight.
“I will blast him into the dirt if he tries anything like that again,” Shadowheart said reassuringly. “But, despite everything that happened, I think he does actually care about you.”
Ria turned her head and glanced upwards at the half-elf. She couldn’t deny that there was certainly some truth to Shadowheart’s words, seeing as he had saved her after all, but she still struggled to comprehend it.
“Do you…really think so?”
“Of course.” Shadowheart nodded. “I’ve noticed how he’s been looking at you lately. There is a softness there that wasn’t there before. Besides, he could’ve easily eaten you again today, yet he didn’t do that. Not to mention he also saved you from Minthara and brought you back to camp safely. That is a remarkable improvement on his character entirely. And it was all for you.”
Hearing the words come out of Shadowheart’s mouth she slowly started to believe it. Her mind kept on replaying the scene of Astarion stabbing Minthara so brutally – all of that was to save her life. Going back to a few weeks ago, there was no way that Astarion would attempt to do anything like that just for her.
Shadowheart was right. Astarion had to care about her, even if it was only a small amount.
“It is outstanding that he resisted the urge, given how adamant he was on eating you before.” The cleric paused to take a sip of wine before continuing. “I say he cares about you a lot more than what you know.”
Heat quickly flushed to Ria’s cheeks, except it wasn’t from all the wine she had drunk from before. Her mind swirled as she attempted to process that Astarion, the very man who had nearly ended her life not that long ago, cared about her. It was truly a mind-boggling thought.
“B-But why would he care about me?” Ria mumbled.
A soft smile curled at the corners of Shadowheart’s lips. “Well, you did suggest that he should feed on thinking creatures. None of us were willing to let him do that.”
Ria pursued her lips in thought. “That…that is true.”
“And perhaps he’s just grown a bit soft for you,” Shadowheart added. “You’re a kind person, Ria. And you’ve probably been the kindest to Astarion out of all of us.”
A small grin tugged at the corners of Ria’s mouth as she thought about what Shadowheart had said. She couldn’t explain why, but the very idea of Astarion warming up to her made her heart skip a beat and a rush of excitement filled her chest.
“Ow!” Shadowheart suddenly exclaimed, startling Ria out of her thoughts.
“Are you okay?” Ria asked with concern.
“It’s nothing.” Shadowheart grimaced as she clutched her right hand. “Just an old wound that refuses to heal.”
Ria’s gaze flicked to the wound on the half-elf’s hand. There was a noticeably dark spot on the back of her hand which seemed to be the source of her pain.
“That is a funny looking wound,” Ria said, the alcohol impairing her judgement somewhat. “Can I do anything to help?”
“No, it’s fine.” Shadowheart’s face relaxed as she lowered her hand, the pain subsiding for now. “That is sweet of you to ask, though. But I’ve had this condition for quite some time. It always passes after a while.”
Shadowheart brought her cup to her lips, taking a long sip from the glass.
“Are we going to just ignore the fact that you can do magic now?” Shadowheart smiled, obviously wanting to change the subject about the wound on her hand. “I’ve never heard of borrowers being capable of using magic. That is truly something special.”
“Y-Yeah, it was definitely unexpected,” Ria answered. “I’m planning on telling Gale about it. Maybe he can help me harness it.”
Shadowheart gave a small nod in agreement. “That sounds like an excellent idea. While Gale certainly tends to yap, he is remarkably talented when it comes to harnessing the Weave. Good luck trying not to fall asleep if he offers any magic lessons.”
A small chuckle slipped out of Ria’s lips. “Oh, I’m sure he can’t be that bad.”
“You’re too kind to the wizard,” Shadowheart smirked. “But if anyone can help you, he certainly can.”
A faint smile pulled at the corner of her mouth as she allowed herself to momentarily push the traumatic events of the day to the back of her mind. Talking to Shadowheart had helped her feel a little better despite everything that had happened. It also gave her a different perspective on Astarion and she wasn’t sure how to feel about it yet.
The ground trembled as Shadowheart suddenly got up to her feet.
“I’m sorry to cut this short, but…” Shadowheart cleared her throat. “Well, let’s just say I did promise my evening to someone else.”
“Oh, who is the lucky person?” Ria quirked an eyebrow at the cleric.
“Karlach,” Shadowheart responded rather quickly, her voice giddy. “She’s…wonderful. And I’m lucky she’s interested in me too. I hope you don’t mind me leaving so soon.”
“I thought there was something brewing between you too,” Ria smiled softly. “Please don’t let me hold you back. Thank you for coming to see me. Our talk really helped…quite a lot.”
Shadowheart returned the borrower’s warm smile. “Anytime. My tent is always open. Take care of yourself, Ria.”
Rumbling vibrations rattled the earth as the half-elf padded away into the heart of the party, her long pony-tail braid swishing behind her rhythmically as she walked.
Only mere moments after Shadowheart had left, tremors started to become increasingly more violent as Ria was alone with her thoughts.
Gods, who is it now?
Fearing it was a random tiefling and not someone that she knew, Ria staggered to her feet, albeit somewhat wobbly, managing to hold her ground as she prepared to bolt.
Her heart stilled as a pale lean figure quickly came into her vision.
Astarion.
The elf had his ruby eyes glued to the ground, his gaze scanning around feverishly, and Ria realised with alarm that he was purposefully looking for her.
Her body seemed to freeze up as his footfalls became more intense and his tall figure loomed ever closer. She couldn’t move, as if some holding spell had been placed under her.
Did she even want to run away?
The option to run away unnoticed soon dissipated as Astarion’s biting gaze fell on her small frame. As he realised that it was her, the fierceness of his gaze seemed to almost melt away and become…gentle.
“Ria?”
Astarion’s voice cut through the cold air, almost startling her even though she knew he was right there.
Ria sucked in a sharp breath.
“Y-Yes?”
Her reply was weak, and her voice trembled.
“Ria, I–“ Astarion cleared his throat. “May I?” He gestured to the spot where Shadowheart had been sitting mere moments ago.
Ria blinked in surprise and quickly nodded in response.
The floor rumbled as Astarion ambled forward, slowly taking a seat right next to her on the ground and sat cross-legged. He had a wine bottle that he was loosely holding in one hand and she was almost tempted to ask if he could pour some of that wine into her thimble.
“I…” Astarion stammered, his voice strangely quiet for once. “I want to apologise for everything that happened today. It was very foolish of me to put you through all of that, all things considered.”
Ria’s eyebrows shot up in shock as she took in Astarion’s words, wondering if she had heard him correctly.
Was he apologising to her?
“Are you being serious?” she mumbled, not fully convinced that he was being genuine with her.
“I know this is hard to believe, but I am being completely serious. It was idiotic of me to put you through all of that. I don’t expect you to forgive me.” Astarion softly exhaled through his nose as a gentle smile pulled at the corners of his mouth. “Unfortunately, I’m fresh out of flowers, so I do hope this will suffice. But, if not, then I understand as well.”
Perhaps there had been some truth to Shadowheart’s comments from earlier. His gaze was soft, and it lingered over her with a warmth that made her stomach twist itself into knots.
“Well, you could start by giving me some of your wine,” she said, a playful edge to her tone that surprised even herself. “But I do forgive you…you did save my life after all, despite everything, so I can’t completely hate you for that.”
Her response only made his smile deepen, and she caught a hint of his fangs behind his lips.
“You’ve certainly surprised me there, darling. You’re a lot more fun than I originally thought.” He lowered the wine bottle and carefully dropped some of the liquid into her thimble. “You’re welcome to try some, but I must warn you, it tastes awful.”
She lifted the thimble to her lips and hungrily guzzled the liquid without a second thought. Immediately her expression soured as the vile taste of vinegar assaulted her taste buds. It was a red, dry wine that was nowhere near as good as the wine that Shadowheart had offered earlier.
“Okay, that wasn’t the best,” she coughed.
“See what I mean? Awful.” Astarion took a swig from the bottle himself, his face scrunched in disgust. “I also have something for you.”
Ria quirked an eyebrow, wondering just exactly what Astarion was going to give her. He pulled a tiny dagger – her dagger – out of his pocket and pinched it in between his fingers.
“Don’t worry, I cleaned it thoroughly,” he said reassuringly, holding out the miniature dagger towards her.
Ria leaned forward, grasping the handle of the dagger and turned the blade over in her hand. It gleamed in the dim light of the evening and not a speck of blood could be found on the weapon. It was free of Astarion’s saliva as well, much to her relief.
“T-thanks.” She slipped the blade back into its sheath.
“You know, I do admire you for stabbing my tongue so many times,” Astarion chuckled lightly. “As stupid as it was, you’ve got a killer instinct in you that I like.” His red gaze lingered over her as a seductive grin curled around the corner of his lips, completely drinking her in as she sat beside him. “I never knew vegetarians could be so bloodthirsty.”
Ria’s eyes quickly darted away from Astarion’s intense stare, her heart thudding so fiercely against her ribcage she was afraid it would break free. The mood of the conversation had suddenly shifted, and now she couldn’t stop the flush of heat spreading across her face.
“Well, you did deserve it,” she retorted, pushing a strand of red hair out of her face as she tried to ignore the fluttering feeling that was threatening to burst from her chest. “And now my clothes are completely ruined. I don’t think I’ll ever be able to wash the smell of blood and beer out of them now.”
Astarion’s smirk faded, his face softening.
“I’m sorry.”
“It’s okay, you’ve already apologised,” Ria said hastily, waving her hand dismissively, surprised by his gentle tone. “There isn’t much you can do about it now.”
A pregnant pause encompassed the area, and for a while the only sounds that could be heard was cheering and celebration coming from the centre of the camp as the tieflings and the rest of the group enjoyed the party.
Astarion cleared his throat.
“So, did the drow tell you what you needed to know?”
Ria grimaced briefly at the mention of Minthara, her cackling laugh and scathing words echoing through her brain.
“Y-yeah, I did,” she answered stiffly, pushing the memories of the drow to the back of her mind. “Borrower blood is…very valuable. Apparently, my kind are descended from Fey, and magic runs in the blood. Which would explain why I was able to cast that spell on Minthara.”
Astarion listened intently, his eyebrows shot up upon hearing the revelation of her Fey ancestry. She wondered how he would take the next lot of information.
“Minthara also mentioned that vampires become easily addicted to borrower blood,” she said quietly, her heart catching in her throat as she waited to hear his response. “She…she said it’s almost like a drug to them.”
The elf’s eyes widened in surprise for a moment, but it was quickly replaced with his usual charismatic grin as he processed the new information.
“Well, that certainly explains a lot,” he answered. “And here I was wondering why your blood was so divine. It seems there’s an actual reason for it.”
He took another sip of wine from the bottle, running his tongue over his lips as his gaze fell back onto her.
“And yet you didn’t eat me,” Ria said softly, the words leaving her mouth before she had time to think. “With all that temptation, it would’ve been so easy for you to eat me earlier today. But why didn’t you?”
Astarion faltered, somewhat caught off guard by her sudden question.
“That is an interesting question,” he replied after a moment, his voice dropping to a low murmur. “Let’s just say I may have taken a small liking to you, darling. My previous perspective on borrowers may have changed…albeit only a little.”
His response surprised her and she almost choked on the wine that she had just sipped from.
“Oh, don’t tell me you’re growing soft on me,” she coughed, wiping wine off her chin with the back of her hand. “I’m still finding it hard to believe that you even like me at all.”
“Emphasis on little, darling,” Astarion said sharply, but the glimmer in his eyes betrayed his words. “Besides, Lae’zel was ready to gut me like a fish when they all thought I had eaten you. I rather like having all my innards inside my body and I want to keep it that way.”
Ria couldn’t help but to chuckle upon hearing his reply, and she took another hearty drink of dry wine from her thimble. At this point, she didn’t care if the wine was awful, she just wanted to drink away the pain from the events of earlier that day.
“Yeah, why in the Nine Hells did you think it was a good idea to put me in your nasty mouth?” she spluttered, the wine really starting to settle into her system now. “Surely you could’ve thought of something else, or were you just too brainless to think of an alternative?”
Astarion dramatically placed a hand over his undead heart and gasped loudly in fake shock.
“Darling, how rude! My mouth is anything but nasty, thank you very much. I may not be able to see my reflection, but I know for a fact that my teeth are as white as pearls.” He paused to take a sip of wine before continuing. “Anyways, I’ve never been much of a detail’s person, alright? It was the only thing I could think of in the heat of the moment. If those goblins saw you in my cup, you would’ve been eaten for real.”
“Yeah, you really aren’t a detail’s person, that’s for sure.” She guzzled the remaining alcohol from her thimble before placing it firmly on the ground.
Astarion stared at the borrower in genuine surprise, his eyes growing wider as he watched her finish the rest of the wine so effortlessly.
“That was a horrendously large amount of alcohol for someone so small to consume so quickly,” Astarion remarked.
“Nah, this? This was nothing!” Ria hiccupped as she stood up on rather wobbly legs, her eyes immediately falling on the wine bottle that was firmly in his grasp.
“Darling, I don’t think you should be standing up.”
Ria shook her head rather enthusiastically. “Nah, I’m fine.” She began to giggle and staggered towards where he was sitting across from her.
Astarion watched as the little borrower fumbled forward until she was directly in front of his legs, a goofy grin plastered on her dainty face as she stared up at him.
“Gimme!” She flopped onto his leg, her tiny hands grabbing fistfuls of the fabric of his pants as she arched her neck to look up at him. “Hand over the wine!”
He cocked an eyebrow, titling his head softly to the side as he processed her request.
“I think not, you’re clearly wasted enough as it is.”
Her lips turned into a massive pout and she banged on his leg with her tiny fists in frustration.
“No, that isn’t fair! I deserve more wine, gods dammit! Especially after what you put me through today, it’s the least that you could do.”
Astarion heaved a long sigh and rolled his eyes. “Fine. But this will be the last bit of wine I’m going to offer you for tonight.”
He slowly lowered the bottle down to her level and slightly tilted it downwards. Immediately Ria rushed towards the lip of the bottle and brought her lips to the glass, taking a hungry gulp of the alcohol without a second thought.
“Okay, that’s enough,” Astarion said, tearing the wine bottle away from the drunken borrower. “I think you’ve had far more than you can handle, my dear.”
“Don’t be stupid!” she exclaimed, her face flushed scarlet as her small body sunk into his leg. “For your information I could’ve taken way more than that.”
“I very much doubt that,” Astarion smirked, taking a sip of wine for himself. “You look quite comfortable down there. After today I didn’t think you’d want to be this close to me, even if you’re horrifically drunk.”
“Hmm, well, maybe I don’t hate you that much,” Ria answered, her words rather slurred as she pressed her burning face into his leg. “And you’re right, I am pretty comfortable here.”
“Oh? Is that so?” Astarion grinned, rather amused and surprised by her words all at once.
“Yes, but don’t let it get to that fluffy head of yours,” she retorted, her eyes growing droopy as she leaned into the fabric of his pants.
Rumbling vibrations rattled through the air as the pale elf chuckled.
“Well, coming from you, that is quite a compliment.” He stared down at her tiny frame on his leg. Her body was so light and small, he could barely feel her there.
“I must ask, what exactly do borrowers do?”
His question made her eyelids fly open and she glared up at the giant vampire in disgust.
“Excuse me? What’s that supposed to mean?”
“It means exactly what it means,” he replied, a playful grin dancing on the edge of his lips.
Ria frowned upon hearing his reply. “Well, we borrow, of course. I thought that was painfully obvious.”
“And that involves?”
She exhaled loudly, rather annoyed by his question. “We borrow small things that larger folk like you won’t miss. Small pieces of food, bits of fabric, needles, thread…stuff like that.”
“That’s what you would call stealing, darling,” Astarion smirked. “You’re hardly borrowing anything at all.”
“It isn’t stealing!” she exclaimed, glaring harshly at him.
“Oh, so you give the items back when you’re done with them?”
Ria pressed her lips into a thin line, her brows furrowed. “N-no…but it’s only stuff that people won’t miss, so it hardly counts as stealing.”
“That still counts, I’m afraid.”
“It does not!”
“It does. Trust me, I am very familiar with the concept.”
“Fine, whatever. I’m too tired for this.” Ria buried her face into the fabric of his pants, her body screaming with exhaustion from everything she had been through over the past few hours. She didn’t have the energy to argue with the giant vampire spawn especially at this hour of the evening, nor did she care how close she was to him right now.
The two of them sat together without saying a word for some time, the sounds of the party gradually growing quieter as everyone began to head into their respective tents for the night. Ria’s eyelids sealed shut as she allowed the events of the day to completely wash over her, her body aching with exhaustion and the effects of the wine sending her into a deep sleep, too tired and drunk to care that she was still lying on Astarion’s leg.
Astarion soon noticed that she had dozed off on his leg and a warm smile spread across his face. Placing the now empty wine bottle on the ground, he gently scooped Ria’s slumbering frame into his palm and picked up her tiny thimble with his other hand. Cupping her towards his chest, he slowly rose to his feet, being very careful not to jostle her, and began to search for her small tent.
His eyes scanned the camp, a few tieflings were still flitting about, but most of them had since left or gone to bed. He noticed Lae’zel dragging Wyll off outside of the camp in the corner of his eye, and he couldn’t help but to smirk. No doubt the Blade of Frontiers was going to be put in his place that night.
Continuing his search, it didn’t take him long until he found Ria’s small tent…or, rather, what was left of it. The shrunken tent was completely crushed, no doubt stepped on by a tiefling who hadn’t been looking at where they were going. There was no possible way to salvage it in the slightest.
Gently breathing through his nose, he gazed down at Ria who was still sleeping soundly in his palm. His fingers curled slightly around her slumbering form almost instinctively, a warm feeling settling in his undead heart as he looked at her. She was so peaceful and so very vulnerable right now. There was no way he could just leave her outside by herself with no shelter to sleep under, which left him with only one option.
He padded quietly towards his tent and slipped inside without making a single noise. No doubt Ria would be mortified if she knew what he was planning on doing, but he wasn’t going to leave her out in the cold. Everyone else was asleep or had other plans for the evening, so it didn’t seem right to bother them when he was perfectly capable of offering her somewhere warm and dry to spend the night. It was only for one night, what could the harm be?
Using his other hand he grabbed one of the many cushions that adorned his tent, setting it down not far away from his own pillow. Very carefully he moved Ria’s small frame onto the plush surface of the pillow and grabbed a clean handkerchief from his pocket, draping it over her tiny body. Her body was so tiny and light she barely made an indent in the pillow. He watched her small chest rise and fall, her tiny heartbeat pulsing softly through his ears, as strands of auburn hair messily fell over her face. A gentle smile wove across his sharp features as he gazed down at her, a surge of protectiveness and something else – something warm – threatening to burst out of his chest. Dismissing the feeling, he shook his head and made himself comfortable in his own bedroll, his head now next to Ria on her pillow as he got ready to enter a trance. No doubt she’d want to stab his eye out in the morning, but, quite frankly, the idea didn’t bother him. Strangely enough, there was just something about someone who was a hundred times smaller than him threatening him with bodily harm that made it more appealing.

Well, I think it’s over. As much as I try to work on this, I just really cannot finish it in a way I’m even remotely happy with. I officially would like to release this concept into the public domain. This took a lot of thought, and as long as you credit me, feel free to use this idea from now on.
Track list:
PROLOGUE
The concept is a spamton based origin story called on one string. It starts with Kris at Spamton’s shop in a normal looking save file, however, the path to Spamton’s shop door has a path going off to the left. When you go on it, an adjacent path is seen with a younger spamton standing on it. The game glitches out. A Gaster sequence begins. He tells you that you aren’t supposed to see this, but he will agree to show you Spamton’s story if you agree that you cannot alter the events and will simply play as a memory version of him. The game starts.
VERSE ONE
Wake up!
(Beautiful concept art by Grimblo)
You wake up in Spamton’s bed. You are instructed to complete his morning routine. One of these is writing a letter to Seam. This is the save system in this game. There will be desks across the game to write to them and save your game. Spamton is infatuated with Seam and Jevils performances, (although doesn’t approve of Jevil’s segment) and writes to Seam as a fan, having watched them on T.V. Spamton has to go to work.
(More amazing stuff by Grimblo)
and after coming outside to see a heavy traffic jam; the player can only walk to the tramway entrance through a brief “Train rush” segment where you have to make the train on time while avoiding other denizens. At work, Spamton is instructed by the pink Addison to “get to work” and so you are instructed to enter the email room. Here is two desks, one that says “Addison #4” and one that says “Addison #0”. Behind the #4 desk is the blue Addison, Spamton’s only real friend at work. He cheerfully greets him, informing Spamton he left all of “your favorite emails” for him. These are referring to all the responses from Noelle. There is then a short work minigame where you have to please customers over email. Upon returning home, you are forced to go back through the tramway at night. That’s when the Nightpath Ne’er-do-wellers attack! This is where you will learn the battle system.

Spamton discovers a letter, from Seam. This is where you receive the shadowpin, an item that will let you move through dark worlds. Seam was curious upon receiving Spamton’s letter, and wants to see if he really does have what it takes to make it. Spamton, excited and nerve-wracked by this, goes to Queen’s mansion where a Halloween party is commencing. He asks her how to get there; and tries to seek advice. Queen informs him of a close friend of hers, (referring to the Dialmiser) and his city which is fairly close to cyber city if you go through the Coldlands, which is what the cliffs are from chapter one. Spamton suits up, gets in his car, and goes to the edge of cyber city where a toll booth is. The man inside warns spamton of the coldlands and the danger they hold, however spamton leaves anyways. It’s a long, creepy segment but eventually Spamton can see DIALVILLE on the horizon.
Down the Rabbit Hole…
The DIALVILLE port is empty and eerie. Spamton hears rustling from a bush.
![Tumblr media](https://64.media.tumblr.com/c56f06f66378ba4d06e4ea95b8d5d4a3/60f01560f3243724-08/s540x810/2b7768a7fc59895d8255f37deafcd46992909064.jpg)
Out pops Storgsly, a self-defined guide to the city who is also later revealed to be this chapters secret boss. He tells spamton that as long and they stick together, he can take him to the other end of the dark world and get him closer to meeting Seam. Storgsly joins your party. It becomes increasingly clear as you walk through the port Storgsly doesn’t know his stuff, but Spamton is seemingly blind to it. The first Dialmiser encounter occurs when you reach the front doors.
He is standing there, and Storgsly quickly tells you he has to go. Spamton tells the Dialmiser Queen sent him, and Dialmiser is quick to tell him that Queen is someone whom he does not respect. He is very pompous and believes he is the greatest person in the city, and reveals he has taken over the politics here to a grand extent, even locking the mayor up in his own office. It is here when Spamton notices a direct path to the other end. He does not take it. He realizes that it’s his moral obligation to help DIALVILLE, and Seam can wait.
WELCOME TO DIALVILLE!
Although Dialmiser has greatly put a wound on this city, things are as lively as ever. People here aren’t pushy and rude like in cyber city, they love to communicate with one another. Letters, phones, telegrams, litter the street. Spamton quickly finds out about 4 major divisions the Dialmiser is running, and decides he needs to take these out before he leaves. The first, in DIALVILLE itself, is his fun factory. After traversing through the city, Spamton makes it here. This division is run by this chapters “milk” boss: The Bentlov Twins.
![Tumblr media](https://64.media.tumblr.com/1d0f2e1c839fc04f74f55f7ef7c9c2c0/60f01560f3243724-60/s540x810/03da478b1fbfc0a30b0a53b15a714e92e6fcca17.jpg)
Conjoined twins, one happy as ever, one down and sad, they are forcing DIALVILLE residents to work in Dialmiser’s factory. This is where you first fight them. It’s a short fight, and it’s isn’t the last. The next district is the city hall, so Spamton enters at night and has to avoid mini-misers guarding puzzles and mini-games. Once you save the mayor, this district is cleared! The next district is the letter plains. Unfortunately, to liberate them you will need to fight the Bentlov Twins. It’s a twin horseback battle where you have to take them down.
(More amazing art by Grimblo)
VERSUS STORGSLY
Upon defeating them, they reveal the final district: the Dialmanor. But before you go there, they invite you to visit their house and rest up before you go. When you do, you meet their lovely family, and discover a dark secret. Storgsly is related to the bentlov twins. Stashed at the back of the house is a dark, dusty room where you find the key to the ravine tram, aswell as some backstory for him amongst the items. After going inside the room, each family member will relay a short excerpt about him. Approaching the ravine, Storgsly urges you to not go. When you decline, he runs away. After using the lift key, you descend into the ravine. It’s cold, dark, and as soon as you walk for a little storgsly swoops down and steals the pin. A short chase segment ensues before you corner him at the back. The ravine shatters and he uses the pin to try and take you out. Using the pin, he manifests attacks from within his phone book. When you defeat him, a small crack has formed in the pin. Going back to the Bentlov house, you have the option to give the bell beret away to them. The Dialmanor is a large area with puzzles, minigames and there is currently a mask party ensuing when you arrive. After a spat with the manor guards, they tell you where to go to find Dialmiser. After a long staircase, you figure out how to liberate the final district: defeat the Dialmiser. The battle is lengthy but when you do he reveals that maybe he pushed everyone away that ever made him want power in the first place. He gives the key to the city back to the mayor, and Spamton departs in his car again…

How would Givelian reacts to the Trix took over The Cloud Tower in Season 7? He must have ask them too or their own terms.
He must quite be surprised that the witches, alumnis and seniors that once in The Cloud Tower did not aid The Winx and Alfea fairies in the battle against The Trix, Selina, and the new/current students of The Cloud Tower. Meaning either the fairies, The Winx, and Faragonda are too prideful for asking them for help or Griffin does not see they are necessary for help. But anyway it is a win for him because more negative energy spurting and the rift between witches and fairies are widen.
Well, I imagine he wasn’t using the Trix anymore by this point. He utilised them a lot while they were still students, and now that they’re big-time villains (that somehow still always wind up losing and working for someone else), they call their own shots. (Aside from whatever Tritannus or Valtor tell them to do, obviously, because they’re so important and brilliant that the Trix just forget all their actual experience and skill.)
And yes, it’s very surprising the Cloud Tower seniors, the same seniors that fought the Trix in season one, do nothing. Since we never see them actually in battle, I’ve always assumed that they refused to help the Trix, because they’re smarter than the gullible freshmen, so they’re back in the Cloud Tower dungeons. Otherwise, they’d have fought back, I’m sure of it.
So anyways, Givelian would have been surprised, but also very happy with this turn of events, because he's always looking to have Griffin or any of the principals fired, and this, Griffin letting her school be taken over, not to mention her freshmen students turning into a dimensional threat, is excellent grounds for dismissal, and then he can implement his own new principal and commence his brainwashing of the students to increase his own power.

Lore Olympus is a fight this week, but not quite what was expected.
![Tumblr media](https://64.media.tumblr.com/9281bcbd3c4281fa35c8e4f05b9d6c17/939ffd790fee7f90-57/s1280x1920/ac4dfa807d3e206e49fbec19c0b12edb2303c91f.jpg)
The battle commences with Hera not only telling Kronos that she's not going to play nice anymore, but affirming that she is definitely kicking his ass.
Kronos tries the "we're equals, let's rule together" bit.
Nope, not happening.
*crunching of Kronos' fingers*
![Tumblr media](https://64.media.tumblr.com/519cb748ca816b69f939937ecff399d6/939ffd790fee7f90-84/s2048x3072/7b8154645237d2376dd763a09c0bb2ec23902e1c.jpg)
Whoa whoa whoa..... wait a minute..... Hecate really thought a Persephone look-alike was a good idea?
If Demeter saw that, she'd pick up on it right away. And we would likely have more Demeter rage.....
Also, the nymphs have pointed ears. As a goddess, Persephone does not. It's one thing when humans cosplay elves by ADDING pointed ears, but I imagine it'd be a lot harder to hide pointed ears. Magic COULD potentially be used to hide them (and Hecate IS the goddess of magic), so it's not IMPOSSIBLE, but potentially IMPLAUSIBLE.
Persephone is back!
Hecate: *physically telling the nymphs to fuck off*
Persephone is a thirsty girl after her trip to Tartarus!
Glad Persephone is amazed by Hera's titan-form, but yikes almighty! What happened to YOUR proportions????
![Tumblr media](https://64.media.tumblr.com/32909c97ec4552a554790ec718ee649d/939ffd790fee7f90-1d/s2048x3072/dedd7f93af411ad006471f38f09dbfb38d04c2b1.jpg)
We shift over to Hades' confrontation with Kronos. Hades tries to mentally defend himself, but Kronos' abuse still cuts deep. He shrinks him down to a child and swallow Hades yet again.
Even as he does so, Kronos continues to torment him...
![Tumblr media](https://64.media.tumblr.com/077a4fd35c46f4f8b107b364a92be045/939ffd790fee7f90-fd/s2048x3072/f72c071a536c8110d36bf807267672ef75d6ed36.jpg)
...that is, until Kronos mentions Melinoe. At this, Hades comes out of stupor. Hades reiterates the conversation he had with his future daughter, that Kronos' bullshit is not theirs to fix. It is not their job to pay for Kronos' horrible deeds.
As he does so, Hades gradually "grows up" physically and mentally pushes through the fog....
![Tumblr media](https://64.media.tumblr.com/90c9b7434441de1558bb6c099678120f/939ffd790fee7f90-ac/s2048x3072/65135ef3ff2ab29e1622fa1113ee424a541fa0d7.jpg)
...and, at last, he escapes from Kronos' hold on his own. (Well, maybe not ENTIRELY on his own; Hera is also kicking his ass elsewhere simultaneously.)
As a final word, Hades "closes" the encounter with Kronos, not with a violent blow, but by somehow sealing him up.
![Tumblr media](https://64.media.tumblr.com/bc14f1ff030ccd8a961db47a748e2a4c/939ffd790fee7f90-8f/s1280x1920/e7f9c449fbdd6ad583ffcb4a69893adb269519e7.jpg)
This is the closure Hades needed. Hopefully, this is enough to hold the titan away for good. We certainly don't want Kronos popping out of this gem like a pokémon anytime soon.
Anyway, thanks for coming to my LO post!

(GFL Short Fic) AN-94 attempts romance
AN-94 has no idea how to approach romance, given her lack of social skills and knowledge about humans in general.
But she would do her best to let her feelings be known!
AN-94 sat in her dorm dressed in her casual uniform, that being a black t-shirt and pants. Her gaze was focused on the wall, but she was fighting a mental battle.
She had learned that she quite enjoyed spending time with one of the human personnel, who seemed to feel the same. But it was...strange. It wasn't quite the same nature of how she felt for the rest of DEFY.
According to (Y/N), she seemed to smile around them and acted differently. What did humans call two people that were always together again?
(AN-94) "...A couple?"
That's right, they were called 'couples' according to the internet searches she had conducted in her head. But how did one become a couple? As far as she could tell, they were just friends. If that internet definition was even right, anyway.
(AK-12's Voice) "Thinking about (Y/N) again?"
(AN-94) "Ah, yes. Do you know how couples are made, AK-12?"
AK-12's Advice
(AK-12) "Hm, I'm not entirely sure. But why bother asking me when you could do so yourself? Come on, go out there and be yourself! I'm sure it'll be fine!"
AN-94 nodded.
(AN-94) "Understood. Commencing mission."
She left the dorm with a determined walk, AK-15 and RPK-16 looking outwards after her.
(AK-15) "...You realize this will end poorly, correct?"
(AK-12) "Probably. But better to learn from failure, eh?"
(RPK-16) "Agreed."
...
(Y/N) "So, what brings you by today, 94? Need something?"
(AN-94) "I am just being myself."
(Y/N) "...I-Is that right?"
(AN-94) "Is that a problem?"
(Y/N) "Hah, no. I don't mind a bit. I'm just gonna be organizing some paperwork for the commander, I can't imagine it's exactly exciting."
(AN-94) "Then allow me to help."
(Y/N) "Sure, that'd be great! Thanks again!"
AN-94 helped (Y/N) with the paperwork. True to her mission, she remained herself, not mentioning a single thing about her feelings towards (Y/N) and remaining almost silent the entire time.
For (Y/N), it was quite a comfortable silence. For AN-94, she was even more confused. She had changed nothing, why was (Y/N) not mentioning they were in love yet?
RPK-16's Advice
(RPK-16) "So, they didn't have a reaction?"
(AN-94) "Negative. I am unsure what I did wrong."
(RPK-16) "Hm, well you do have the sort of air to just be seen through..."
AN-94 slightly frowned at the comment until RPK-16 excitedly put her hands together.
(RPK-16) "How about physical contact? Humans are quite like rabbits where they desperately crave it!"
(AN-94) "Physical contact?...I see, that may work."
...
(Y/N) was suddenly confused as to why AN-94 was suddenly in their quarters. Not to mention she was completely still, her face literally in their chest.
It also didn't help they were also on their bed. She remained unmoving like a statue, and she was acting as if there was nothing wrong.
(Y/N) "U-Um...!"
(AN-94) "Does this bother you?"
Her voice was muffled in their shirt.
(Y/N) "A-A little. It's almost midnight, why are you just-"
(AN-94) "Then this method is not working. Please, excuse me."
Quickly removing herself from their upper torso, she stood back up and left the room without saying anything else, leaving an extremely confused (Y/N).
Commander's Advice
(AN-94) "...And that explains my situation, sir."
(Commander) "...Now, I know I have an open door policy, but why did you come to me about this?"
(AN-94) "Are you unversed in romance, sir?"
The commander awkwardly coughed into his hand, adjusting his jacket's collar and trying to ignore the fact AN-94 had just called him out for being single.
(Commander) "I'm just saying there are probably others who's far better at reading these kinds of emotions. Plus, that probably confused the hell out of poor (Y/N)..."
(AN-94) "They did seem quite perplexed as to why I was so close to them."
(Commander) "...Oh, I know who could help!"
He said, snapping his finger. He quickly reached for a nearby intercom and called out the T-Doll's name.
Springfield's Advice
Springfield brought out a small tray containing four muffins she had baked, giving AN-94 a warm smile.
(Springfield) "You know what they say! The quickest way to a person's heart is their stomach!"
AN-94 contemplated that for a moment before Springfield cleared her throat.
(Springfield) "It's a metaphor dear. Before you tear out their internal organs, it means that they'll get your message of love a lot faster if you give them good food!"
AN-94 nodded and stared at the muffins.
(AN-94) "But...these are made by you. Would (Y/N) not love you instead of me?"
Springfield couldn't help but giggle at her innocence. AN-94 tilted her head.
(Springfield) "I'm sorry, that wasn't meant to offend, sweetie. Well, you do have a good point, it would mean a bit more if it came from you, but-"
(AN-94) "May I borrow your kitchen? I would like to make some muffins."
(Springfield) "Be my guest!"
...
(Y/N) "Mmm! These muffins are so good! Thank you so much for bringing them here! Springfield always knows how to bake them just right."
For some reason AN-94 was flustered, unable to look them in the eye. Maybe it was because of that whole planking incident a few days ago? (Y/N) was confused, they weren't angry at her to begin with.
(Y/N) "Would you like some? There's more than enough for the two of us!"
(AN-94) "...T-Thank you."
Seeing her smile got (Y/N) to smile now as well, something she immediately took notice of. AN-94 made sure not to tell them of the fires that broke out in the attempts of her trying to cook for them.
Instead she had to use Springfield's muffins in the end.
...
AK-15's Advice
AN-94 sat back in DEFY's dorm, looking dejected as she laid in her bed. Every attempt had failed spectacularly. If only romance was like the battlefield, then she could complete this mission with no problems. She could hear AK-15 sigh as she approached her bed, crossing her arms.
(AK-15) "So, have you tried telling (Y/N) you liked them directly?"
(AN-94) "...What?"
(AK-15) "There's no use of beating around the bush. Tell them how you feel so you can avoid any further misconceptions, and get results that way."
That...made sense, actually.
(AN-94) "Thank you, AK-15."
Springing up from her bed, she immediately dashed out and made way towards (Y/N)'s quarters once again.
(AK-15) "...Human etiquette is so inefficient..."
...
(Y/N) "You...like me?"
(AN-94) "I do, (Y/N). I...I only hope that I am irreplaceable in your heart."
(Y/N) began laughing, which made AN-94 confused again. Before she could voice it, they stepped closer to her, grabbing both her hands gently.
(Y/N) "Is this what those last few days have been about? Why didn't you just tell me?"
(AN-94) "I...I wanted to try things a human would."
Seeing her flustered reaction made (Y/N) embrace her tightly, laughing gently and making her comfortable.
(Y/N) "Fair enough. I...I like you too, AN-94. And you've always been irreplaceable to me."
AN-94 smiled back and sunk deeper into their embrace, the two of them remaining silent.
AK-12 was listening in around the corner, nodding to herself in satisfaction. Walking off, she came across RPK-16 and AK-15 who were also nearby.
(AK-15) "You could have just told her to do that from the beginning and saved her the headache."
(RPK-16) "Oh come now, it's about the experience as well as the end result. Not everything has to be so direct, you know!~"
AK-15 simply grunted. AK-12 couldn't agree more. She'd have to pay (Y/N) a visit later, and make sure they'd be the best partner AN-94 could have outside the battlefield.

G Witch Onscreen Text: Episode 1
This is the second part of a project where I try my best to document and discuss all of the (relatively important) text that appears on monitors and screens in G Witch. Cause I can.
<< Click here to see the one I did on the Prologue
ooOOooohhh beneath the cut lie the HORRORS....
Just to give you an idea of how needlessly hard they went on the monitor text, when Suletta is rescuing Miorine, she mentions that she's almost out of oxygen, and then, when she brings her into Aerial's cockpit, on her helmet, you can faintly see text displaying the amount of oxygen.
And THEN, when she starts talking to Miorine, the text on her helmet changes AGAIN to display that the comm link has been established
WHY DID THEY DO THAT????
Well clearly they did it cause they knew my stupid ass would eventually document it. Anyway, let us begin.
TEXT: I am a HARO. You can ask me anything! (The only text on the icons I can make out are MAP and SCHOOL, unfortunately.)
This is the HARO navigation bot Suletta meets when first coming to Asticassia, and we know that it's Haro Navigation System Ver. 3.0! If that's something that interests you....
TEXT: MOBILE CRAFT FUTURE TECHNOLOGY SIZE 6.6m 18.8t
Not much of note, it's just a hologram of a mobile craft. Exciting if you like mobile crafts. (I like mobile crafts)
When the Docks containing the Demi Trainers are locked, the display says LOCKED. When they're in use, the display says IN OPERATION.
TEXT: (Left) PILOTING DEPARTMENT KP001 GUEL JETURK MO-0032G GUEL'S DILANZA 26 WINS 0 LOSS 0 TIE
(Right) PILOTING DEPARTMENT KP029 PARKER EASTCOTT TKG-328 KAPELL-KUU 2 WINS 1 LOSS 1 TIE
The Battle Display for the first duel we see in the show, and from this we can see that Guel currently stands undefeated with 26 wins! Double digits! No wonder he's the ace pilot at Asticassia...too bad he's a dick.
This is the graph that's shown during the Benerit Group board meeting, detailing the earnings of the groups members for the current period.
Interestingly, the 3 highest earners are: Peil Technologies - 8000 Grassley Defense Systems - 8100 Jeturk Heavy Machinery - 8300
So, funnily enough, at the beginning of the story, Jeturk Heavy Machinery is actually the most successful company within the group. It explains why Vim Jeturk felt so comfortable in his plot to assassinate Delling, and goes to show how quickly he fell from the top position after Guel lost to Suletta all those times.
Fun Fact by the way, Prospera's first appearance in the show proper is during this meeting.
She seems kind of annoyed about something.
TEXT: DUEL COMMENCING FIRST TO BREAK MS BLADE ANTENNA IS THE WINNER
We don't see it very often, but during a duel, a display stating the win condition of the duel is broadcast for the benefit of the spectators.
When Miorine boards Aerial for the duel, we get a look at its system control menu.
Top to bottom, left to right, the options are: COCKPIT VOICE RECORDER IDENTIFICATION FRIEND FLIGHT DATA RECORDER NAVIGATION DISPLAY WEAPON SELECTION CONDITION MONITOR COMMUNICATION SYSTEM GROUND POWER UNIT INSTRUMENT FLIGHT RULE SIMULATOR INSTRUMENT APPROACH CHART INSTRUMENT LANDING SYSTEM APPROACH POINT RAM AIR TURBINE
We also get a brief look at the Weapon Selection Sub-Menu
TEXT: SELECT YOUR WEAPON BEAM SABER BEAM RIFLE BEAM VULCAN
I think a lot of the main settings are interesting (what the hell is "Identification Friend?") but what's really interesting to me is that Aerial's Gundbits don't seem to be selectable via the Weapon Menu.
We also get a brief glimpse at the Red Dilanza's control menu.
No idea what I'm looking at, to be totally honest, but yknow. It's nice!
TEXT: EMERGENCY BUTTON
When Suletta intrudes into the duel and gets back in Aerial, we see that it has an emergency button (seemingly somewhere on its foot) that opens the cockpit.
TEXT: COMMUNICATION MODE -OUTERCOM-
When Suletta headbutts Miorine and they start arguing about Aerial, Aerial's comms system gets set to OUTERCOM mode, which explains why everyone outside of Aerial can hear the argument.
This could have been done by accident when Suletta headbutted Miorine, but I like to believe that Eri herself did this on purpose.
Just so it isn't left unsaid, Aerial's Permet ID is XVX-016, and when a combatant in a duel is the Holder, the Holder Symbol is displayed on their Duel Card.
When Suletta is telling Miorine about her mother's motto, the GUND-Bits appear on the monitor and come online as Aerial 'speaks.' This, combined with the fact that the GUND-Bits aren't accessible via the Weapon Select menu, implied all the way back in episode one that it's Eri who controls them. Although interestingly, it seems that, internally, the GUND-Bits are referred to as GUNBITS.
I obviously won't transcribe the two pages of this book, but the book El4n is reading here is actually The World as Will and Representation by German philosopher Arthur Schopenhauer. We actually see its title in a later episode, and the main ideas present in this work are extremely important when it comes to understanding El4n's character. But that's a story for another post.
TEXT:
YOU ARE THE WINNER OF THE DUEL.
thanks!
TEXT: HOLDER REGISTRATION [SETTINGS]
I always thought it was a little funny how the transferring of the holder title was just like, an option on their phones and not an automatic process.
ADDENDUM:
Thank you to @the-eeveekins for pointing out that Aerial is currently running SYS Ver E.S (Ericht Samaya) as opposed to 2.0 in the Lfrith!
I didn't even notice!! That's crazy!!! Thank you so much!
Also I realize I should probably point out that we see that Nika's ID is LM236 in this photo. She never duels so there's never a moment where she says it out loud.
And that's all for episode 1! Not too much super interesting, but there's still a lot to see and think about if you're paying attention! (Like, why does Aerial have a Cockpit Voice Recorder at all, actually? We know that Suletta often talks with Aerial in the cockpit about personal stuff so...you don't think that....Prospera....?)

The First Thronecoming
Chapter 1: Reigniting a School Holiday
Summary: Ah yes, the how we got here moment! Anyways, let’s see how the heck the event committee had the idea to do this event! ☺️
Authors Note: This fic takes inspiration from the EAH x TWST AU Headcanons from SayuriCorner, and the Thronecoming Headcanons from LovelyIllama!! [Crossposted from AO3]
P.S: Omg this is my first time crossposting my work over here! I promised a while back to cross post this fic here for 2 reasons! 1) In case AO3 breaks down again, and 2) for another way to view the fic! I will be posting the other chapters up to Ch. 4 (the current chapter released)! I am also making a writing Masterlist too for other fanfics I made! It’ll take a while, since I’m busy with other things (work, life, and writing other stuff hehe), so please be patient until the Tumblr variant comes out! Anyways, Happy Reading! 😄

[Location: Classroom]
RING! RING! RING!!
The school bells rang at the halls of the infamous Night Raven College for club activities to commence. Some students ran to their clubrooms while others walked. Others flew or teleported if they had enough magic in them. Whether it be out into the school fields or in one of the elegant classrooms.
In one classroom, the school’s event committee begins their meeting.
“And a good day-io to everyone here too!” Maddie greeted with her arms out wide and a giant grin on her face. She tipped her mini red-and-white hat, and sat down on her seat. “Now, let’s get into business everyone!”
The first order of the business the event committee attended to was the check-up on both their previous and current event projects. After that, they sought the feedback from each other how well they did. Such as the welcoming party for the EAH transfers, and Halloween.
Let's pick up the pace here! After that round of discussion, they moved onto the next phase of their meeting. This time, they decided what they should focus on now. Should they focus on their current projects? Or will they do something new? If so, what?
“Well, from the past couple of months with all the Overblots and incidents here and there.” Briar began in a stern tone and a melancholy look. She furrowed her eyebrows and posture forward, creating a determined look on her face. “This event that we’re going to make has to be something big! Something that will lift everybody’s spirits!”
No one spoke anything. Everybody in the room can sense the mood changed and for good reason. Usually, Briar Beauty would be pumped and already in for whatever party ideas they come up with. All the students hadn’t see Briar been this determined since... she and the other students transferred first here from Ever After High.
They nodded understandably. Everyone here deserved a good break from all the tension. From there, ideas for their next big project began to brew.
“How about an inter-dorm sports tournament?” A Savanaclaw student suggested as they folded their arms.
“I do love a challenge, but we have too many going on right now!” Their Scarabia classmate sitting across them shoots back. “We need to change our strategy to gain more interest!”
“Perhaps a talent show then?” One of the former EAH students interjected.
“Spell yeah! Why not step it up a little? A battle of the bands or-or something like the Hex Factor!!”
“Or maybe even higher!! A full on extreme sports tournaments!!!”
“Dude, the lawsuits and injuries are gonna be clocking in quick when that happens!”
“Yeah, my lazy ass wouldn’t- WAIT I THOUGHT WE SAID WE WOULDN'T DO THAT!!”
And so, there were a lot of suggestions bouncing around the room. And there were some ahem - civil disagreements on some (repeated) ideas as well. Briar sighs, hand on her forehead. Her eyes blinked excessively as her elbow slumped. Even her rosy-pink sunglasses slid forward from her head.
Nothing! Absolutely nothing! The whole room just became a whole debate club! Or better yet, a group project where everyone’s braincells are being tossed around in a game of hot potato. They just needed one simple idea! But they don’t have anything substantial to create a plan from. Hmm, what can they do?
“A field trip lifts my mood whenever I’m down…” Another suggestion chimed in aimlessly, as one of the classmate’s eyes flickered over and out in the green plains where the sport teams were playing.
“Oh, that’s a tea-riffic idea!” Maddie smiles at the idea, shaking them out of their daze. “Any ideas where to?”
The student scratches the back of their neck, eyes shrinking and sweat spilling. “Er- you see, I-”
All eyes in the room land on them, thinning the air surrounding them. They gulp, spitting out a chuckle. Averting everyone’s eyes as the beating pressure in their chest rose.
Crap! To think that their mumbling would cause someone to take notice! They didn't think this would happen!!
What to do- What to do?!?! Fumbling with their fingers, the student’s eyes bounced around the room. Finding anything to either derail the conversation into something else. Think! Think! Think! They didn’t mentally prepare for this! If only they can have Maddie take care of this! But how-
“Wait a minute,” the student thought. “They’re not from around here so…”
“Heyyy Maddie- how about we go do something that you and the others do in your universe!” The student said, directing the attention onto Maddie now. Her sparkling eyes as she nods and pumps her arms out. Sighing with relief, as the weight and attention wasn't on the student anymore. “You and the others learned a lot from our world, so it’s only fair for all of us to learn more about your world.”
“Oh yes!” Maddie cried out, immediately on board with the idea. She then tackles the tables with her hands, startling some of her nearby classmates, and smiles. “Back at Ever After, we had so many fantastic events that got everyone reeling in with excitement! Like the Spring Fair-est, Thronecoming, the Blue Moon Festival-”
Some of the event committee that were from Ever After High perked up from their seats upon hearing of their school holidays. Especially Briar, now awaken.
“Oh, yeah!” Briar recalled, pulling up her sunglasses. “We were supposed to have Thronecoming after Legacy Day!”
◇◆◇◆◇◆◇◆◇◆◇◆◇◆◇◆
Originally, Ever After High was supposed to celebrate Thronecoming later down the months after Legacy Day. One of the important events that the students of the former school were so excited about! Yet that all changed since the rediscovery and union of the world, Twisted Wonderland.
And my goodness gracious - a lot went down from there! It all started when Raven - the daughter and descendant of the Beautiful, Evil Queen - rebelled against her destiny on Legacy Day.
This caused the divide within the student body: The Royals - who believe in following destiny regardless in the name of tradition - and the Rebels - those who believe in forging their own path into the unknown. Although majority of the Rebels were talked into following their destiny, Raven was hit the hardest. She was hit by the societal pressures by both Headmaster Grimm, the Royals, and Apple - her destined enemy to poison.
Raven wanted none of this!!
She didn’t want to become like her mom! She didn’t wanted to become evil! She didn’t want to hurt her loved ones for the sake of this tradition! A tradition that will keep cycling back to back with people getting hurt at the core.
And with that she fled one day. Into the woods, and far from the school! Raven calmed herself down by attempting to practice her magic for good (which she was previously denied.) However, this worked too well! Because if she had not done that, she wouldn’t have been teleported into this once forgotten world filled with endless possibilities! No predestined lives to live or to fit!
There were some ups and downs since this discovery happened. Like how enraged Headmaster Grimm and Apple’s mother, (the current) Snow White, were as desperately trying to take control of the status quo as well as disregard this world as dangerous!
Heck, even Apple went off the deep end and ended up alienating everyone! It even got to the point where Apple Overblotted over a failed kidnapping attempt she did in order - in her disillusioned mind - to fix everything. Fortunately, Apple has gotten better mentally and now living her own life at Royal Sword Academy. As for Headmaster Grimm and Snow White, they were stripped from titles and exiled out of Ever After to god knows where.
Another benefit? Relations between Ever After and Twisted Wonderland readily began opening their borders to each other! All of folks within the humanities, historian, magical, and science fields exchanged their knowledge and wisdom with one another to catch up like old friends. Additionally, since the closing of Ever After High following Headmaster Grimm’s arrest, many of the students and faculty moved to other schools. Some even transferred to schools like Royal Sword Academy, Night Raven College, and many more… It felt, much more freeing since then…
◇◆◇◆◇◆◇◆◇◆◇◆◇◆◇◆
“You know,” A Pomefiore student added, breaking Briar’s train of reminiscence. “That reminds me of when Raven first came here; she told us something about that. From what I remember, it’s sort of like a huge gala, correct?”
“Why yes!” Maddie answered wholeheartedly and got up from her chair. She dances around the classroom as she begins telling her club members about it. “It’s the grandest and elaborate festival with Bookball, floats, and a big party filled with food, music, and fun! We also get presents from our parents!”
Everyone at their desks nods their heads with smiles on their faces. Maddie pranced around explaining all the details from memory. Everyone else is imagining the concept or remembering those happy memories while conversing excitedly with one another.
Meanwhile, Briar, while nodding along with all the other points, cringes at the last one. It’s not like she despises her parents! She loves them! Genuinely cares about them like any other kid would! The same goes for her parents as well. It’s just… how distant in their relationship as a family they all share… Back when destiny was huge at play, her mother would often sleep even after her fairytale has ended. And her father slew dragons and heroic deeds outside more versus spending time with the family…
“Briar, if I recall, you were supposed to be planning it this year, right?” Maddie gestured as she stopped by near the door, gesturing her hand towards Briar. Briar, once again out of her thoughts, blinked and stood still for a moment. A huge grin quickly slipped from her lips as her eyes shone.
“Ever since I was in kindergarten!” She beamed and jumped up from her seat. Those nights and days she spent planning on absolutely everything! All events - ESPECIALLY THRONECOMING FOR CRYING OUT LOUD - must not only be perfect but also an absolute success in the fun department!
“From the budgeting, the perfect dress shopping trip, hair and makeup appointments, and float ideas. The list goes on and on!”
“Last year’s Thronecoming was spell-tacular! It is one of the biggest nights I will never forget! The floats, the dance, EVERYTHING!!”
She raised both arms out wide. “Everyone back at Ever After High looked forward to it the most! I would feel guilty if I ever slept through them.”
“It would be great if we had Thronecoming here.”
Everyone murmured in agreement at Briar’s last statement. It would great. Amazing even!
Ding!
And that’s when the idea struck!
The lights in their room flickered on and off. Everyone turns their confused heads to the switch near the door.
“Hey, why don’t we go ask Headmaster Crowley to have Thronecoming here at Night Raven College?” Maddie expressed.
Everybody in the room stared at Maddie in confusion and silence. After a moment, they all began cheering and praising the idea. Much jumps and cheers of joy filled the room.
“That is a perfect idea, Maddie!” Briar agreed with confidence and delight amidst the group. She gave her a quick hug. “I can’t wait to show him this! He’ll be so amazed!”
“Of course, he will!” Maddie confirmed, remaining unfazed. “It’s in his character! Besides, he’ll already approve it by the next chapter!”
The young lady then looks up into space, hands on her hips. She tilts her head and winks towards the void.
“Isn’t that right, dear Narrator?!”
What.
OH-
Oh yeah, sure! He will approve it by then, kid! No need to worry!
Besides there would be nothing else if he doesn’t 😃
Briar sighs with a smile and rolls her eyes at Maddie and her usual conversations with somebody she named the Narrator. The latter girl smiles, unbothered about this strange ability while simultaneously content with the Narrator’s confirmation. In fact, it grew bigger!
“We got our project, people!” Briar declared loud and proud throughout the room, punching her fist up in the air. “So, let’s get started on this project for all of Night Raven College to remember!”
The whole room cheers. Giant smiles on faces to immediately cook up ideas for their new project with their friends.
And so, throughout their club meetings for the next few days, they worked diligently on a project of the night they will never forget: Night Raven College’s First Thronecoming!

I...finished the Kidnapping Fic a few days earlier than I thought I would and started the new fic (Amnesiac Yuuji, which won this poll) just yesterday. Today? Time is soup, and timezones are worse.
Anyway! Amnesia Wednesdays shall now commence! Help me.
I'm still getting a feel for this fic. This week's excerpt is from the prologue, which is the only part that's Yuuji PoV. Have some fluffy kissing to make up for all the Kidnapping Fic fuckery:
Gojou turns around, cocking his head to the side and giving Yuuji a once-over that’s somehow obvious despite the blackout glasses hiding his eyes.
“What’s up with you?” he asks Yuuji. “Tired already? You’re the one who wanted to cook, you know.”
“We’ve been eating out all week,” Yuuji says absently. “Gojou-sensei, I want to…”
The silence that follows Yuuji’s clumsy non-demand feels thick and heavy.
But Gojou smiles, a mild upcurve at the corners of his mouth. It’s a familiar expression, both inviting and indulgent. Yuuji’s been on its receiving end a lot the last few weeks, and now he’s trying to remember if it’s the first time he’s wondered how it would taste on his tongue. Gojou’s mouth almost always looks like it could cut someone, and it does, Yuuji knows, but then there are times like this too, more and more frequent, when it looks like it’d be soft and sweet to the touch.
“What is it, Yuuji?” Gojou asks. “What do you want?”
“Can I kiss you?”
Shock splatters on Gojou’s face, bright and graceless.
And then it’s gone, eaten up by a grin that splits his face.
A part of Yuuji wants to back up; most of him wants to catch that smile with his teeth.
“I don’t know, can you?” Gojou’s voice is a low, deadly murmur. “Come and find out.”
It’s a warning and a challenge, Yuuji can tell, and whatever common sense he’s ever had is screaming, but his feet take him forward, closing the scant few feet between them with sure, steady steps until he’s right in front of Gojou. Yuuji stares up at him, and his body feels like it’s braced for battle.
Gojou’s still grinning, but it’s a little less toothy. Yuuji can see a sliver of blue under his glasses, watching and waiting.
He grabs those broad shoulders with both hands and pushes up on tiptoes to press their lips together.
Warm, fleeting pressure.
Yuuji’s soles meet the ground, harder than they should. His heart’s in his throat, too thick to swallow around. He tries anyway, choking a little.
Gojou’s expression hasn’t changed at all.
He asks, “Is that all you wanted?”
Yuuji can’t tell whether it’s disappointment or mockery or some other unholy thing that’s there in his voice. He wants to crawl under a table or maybe split the ground open so he can drop right into its core, but his fingers refuse to let up their death grip on Gojou’s shoulders and his feet are rooted to the ground and his whole damn body’s soaking up the warmth Gojou’s radiating, and Yuuji finds that all he can do is stand and stare.
“No,” he croaks.
Gojou hums, a considering noise Yuuji’s grown to associate with some atrocious movie or a sparring bout that leaves him heaving on the ground. Fresh adrenaline floods him, and his heart beats even faster, a wet roaring in Yuuji’s ears.
“Was that your first kiss?”
Yuuji shakes his head, the motion too jerky.
“Oh?” A knuckle nudges his chin, tilting it up, and Gojou’s there, bending low to exist prettily in suffocating proximity to Yuuji’s face. “Don’t lie now.”
That unties Yuuji’s tongue. “I’m not. It was just one time. Girl in middle school. We didn’t do much.”
“Huh. Cute.”
“Sensei!”
“Don’t get all offended,” Gojou says, and he’s not laughing, but he’s close to it, and Yuuji shifts abruptly from wanting to drop into the abyss to wanting to dropkick Gojou into it.
He tries to back away, face unpleasantly hot, but then Gojou’s whole hand is there on his jaw, and an arm winds around his waist, and Yuuji’s pulled against a hard, unyielding body and his head is tilted further back. Gojou’s face is even closer, mouth hovering over Yuuji’s.
His breath is hot on Yuuji’s face.
Fuck, Yuuji thinks, panicked and reverent.
“Don’t run off either,” Gojou murmurs, and he’s so damn close that Yuuji can feel the words as he hears them. “Kiss me right first. You’re a quick study, aren’t you? Or have you changed your mind already?”
“No,” Yuuji yelps, snapping his jaw shut the next instant. More quietly, and not at all steadily, he says, “I still want to.”
“Go on then.”
Yuuji’s not sure when his hands shifted from Gojou’s shoulders to his hair, but when he clenches his hands in nervous anticipation, it’s soft, snowy strands that bunch up in his fists, and it’s easier than it has any right to be to pull Gojou down that last burning centimeter, forcing his mouth against Yuuji’s.
It’s still a knife-life curve, and Yuuji doesn’t bleed in any way that hurts, but it feels like Gojou’s cutting him open anyway.
His first kiss was soft and sweet and short. A few tight, thrilling seconds of sensation. He remembers licking his lips afterward, tasting something plastic and fruity and wondering if it’d have tasted any different on her mouth.
Gojou’s the answer. The glossy gleam that never leaves his lips is sticky on Yuuji’s lips and thick on his tongue, with a dull, fruity punch that feels like it should be sweet to the taste but isn’t, and then he sucks one into his mouth, more hungry than curious, and he learns that Gojou’s soft, yielding flesh tastes a hell of a lot better than any product.
The aftertaste lingers.
Apples, Yuuji thinks dazedly.
Gojou breaks the kiss, leaning back when Yuuji tries to chase him and keeping him at bay with the hand still cupping his jaw.
“Easy, tiger,” he murmurs. His lips are wet, but his skin is unflushed and his breathing calm.
Yuuji feels like he’s run a marathon in the summer sun.
“Sensei,” he gasps. There are a thousand things he wants to say, but nothing comes out, except another weak, raspy, “Sensei.”
“Yuuji,” Gojou returns. “Still want more?”
“I—yes, please—”
“Sleep on it.”
Yuuji shuts his mouth, blinking up at Gojou. “What?”
“Sleep on it,” Gojou repeats, “and tell me again in the morning. I’d hate for you to regret me, Yuuji.”
There’s something about the way Gojou says it that makes it sound like a promise.
Yuuji closes his eyes, swallowing thickly. The unsweet flavor of Gojou’s lip balm is gone already, but under that, there’s another taste—sharper and hotter and a lot more damning.
I won’t, Yuuji doesn’t say, but he knows it with the same fervor he felt when he said, I won’t regret the way I lived.
“Okay,” he says, opening his eyes. “Just one night.”
“The impatience of youth,” Gojou says, amused but also so fond, and Yuuji’s burning again, from face to gut, and when he frowns up at Gojou, he’s greeted to a crooked grin that burrows into his chest. “Don’t pout. You’ll survive the night, I promise.”
Yuuji pulls on his hair.
Gojou shuts right up, shuddering hard enough that Yuuji can feel it all over.
He stares at his fists in Gojou’s hair, then at parted lips still wet from their kiss.
Gojou tries to straighten back up; Yuuji doesn’t let go.
Gojou doesn’t make him.
He says, “Yuuji.”
“One more,” Yuuji breathes, tugging a little at Gojou’s hair, and there’s no shudder this time, but Gojou leans back in like he can’t help himself, and even through his glasses, his eyes glow. “Just one more, sensei.”
Gojou groans, right into Yuuji’s mouth.
They burn dinner.

Ahhh thank you for sending!!! I’m so glad I could write this. Sorry it took a while lol I got quite a lot of asks so it’ll probably take a bit of time to get to all of them as well as this one did lol. Anyway hope you like it!
72. “Never underestimate the power of these hands.”
Prompt list
The turtles were in the dojo sparring. Leo and Raph went up against one another, with Leo ending up on his ass. Now Donnie and Mikey were up.
“Don’t worry little brother. I’ll make sure to go nice and easy on you.” Donnie told his brotherly opponent with a smirk.
Mikey grinned right back at him. “Oh don’t worry. You won’t have to.”
Donnie had to admit Mikey was getting better at smack talking. Well, he was never really bad anyway. He just never hit down with his words as hard as the rest being the youngest and all. But for once, Donnie could swear he felt some level of being intimidated (only a LITTLE ok? Donnie was still tougher. Definitely.)
And so they began. There were no weapons allowed. Splinter wanted them to learn how to fight in combat instead of relying on their weapons
This also meant Donnie couldn’t wear his battle shell, as that technically counted as a weapon. Donnie was a bit nervous at first, but the brothers assured they’d try and be careful.
Anyway, fighting commenced.
Mikey came at Donnie with full force, punching at every opening he could get.
At one point, Donnie managed to do a sort of maneuver he learned, that had Mikey flat on his back.
“Haha!!! I have bested thee!!!!” Donnie cheered with a proudly evil laugh.
Mikey suddenly grinned evilly. “Never underestimate the power of these hands."
“W-what? But I- gAh!” Donnie yelped as Mikey suddenly jumped up and tackled him to the ground.
Donnie was about to push the smaller and younger one off, when Mikey began scribbling at his sides, making Donnie burst into a bubbly stream of giggles, the tickling immediately weakening him.
“W-wahahitt thihihis ihis cheheheating!” He protested, his hands gripped tightly around Mikey’s wrists.
“Nothings cheating as long as it isn’t our weapons or gear!” Mikey argued with a smirk.
Leo and Raph watched with grins as their younger brother was taking down their scientist brother.
Donnie tried kicking Mikey off but Mikey then settled himself on his older brothers legs.
Mikey tried prying his arms away from his side to pin them, but Donnie put all his strength to keep his arms glued to his sides protectively.
“Raph, Leo, can you guys give me a hand here?” He asked his other brothers with a smirk.
Raph and Leo replied back with their own smirks as they ran to help pin their intellectual brothers arms down.
Donnie felt way more sensitive now that he was in this position.
“G-guys…” Donnie stuttered nervously. “W-we can talk about this…”
“No more talking Don! Only laughing!”
Mikey then descended on his upper ribs and Donnie was immediately thrown into cackles.
“WAHAHAIT DOHOHOHONT!!!”
“Don’t what Donnie? You’ll have to be more specific.” Mikey told him slyly.
“YOHOHOU KNOHOHOW WHAHAHAT!!!”
“Sorry Donald. I’m afraid I don’t know what you mean.”
“J-JEHEHERK!!!”
“Excuse me?! Ohhhoho you’ll regret that!” Mikey said menacingly, and he dug hard into his armpits.
“NONONONOHOHOAHAHAHA-“
Donnie’s brain was scrabbled. He couldn’t think.
Soon he was having difficulty breathing. Mikey picked up on this and stopped.
He signaled Raph and Leo to let his arms go and Donnie, still giggling, quickly brought his arms down to protect himself.
Mikey got off him. “I win!” He cheered, high fiving Raph and Leo.
Donnie smiled to himself as his giggles faded. He had to admit he was proud of his little brother.
