Well, I have a half inch wide piece of metal through my tire so I'm probably not going to have time to write a nice post reflecting on anything tomorrow either, so I'm just going to give the bullet point version of what happened and hope I get a chance to sit and process events eventually.

TLDR: had a 'might die if alone' breathing problem, F's excellent first aid mostly resolved it, ER was as expected (lame)

Had the worst breathing attack so far. Pins & needles everywhere, wheezing on both inhale & exhale, loss of coordination, turned blue, probably was flirting with the edge of unconsciousness, etc.

I'd used the rescue inhaler before the problems started, I used it again at the beginning of problems, and again as I was trying to get myself into the shower so the steam could help

Breathing continues to worsen

F's first aid is so successful that I'm mostly okay seeming by the time we get to the ER (half-an-hour away). (Thanks, love)

Expectations were already low (1. we don't have a lot of faith in ERs based on prior experiences and 2. F knows the recommended ER procedures for asthma attacks and it is basically 'give a shit ton of albuterol until they are breathing again' and we were already doing that)

I check myself in because I have regained the ability to use full sentences, explain what happened, and let them know that I have used a shit ton of albuterol already

They call me back surprisingly fast, but it also doesn't seem to be a busy night.

Nurse: you're here for your heart rate? Me: no... Nurse: huh. She said something about your heart rate Me: well, I've used a lot of albuterol to get my breathing under control, that'd raise it Nurse: hmm...

First thing they do is give me an EKG 🤦 Which, like, I get it, shortness of breath + chest pain, but I also would have been a lot less irritated if they had done anything 2nd to look into the breathing (or at all). Especially since I've clearly said that I used more than the usual dose of a medication that has a known (and not uncommon) side effect of tachycardia

IDK, at least have a nurse check that I'm using the inhaler right since I said I was struggling with it (I was struggling to walk at that point, but, y'know) 🙄

They release me at 2am or so after my heart rate has settled. Doctor: do you feel any better? Me: no, feels about the same as when I arrived Doctor: okay, try to avoid triggers. Bye

And the most annoying thing is there isn't even a record of the EKG, it's not listed in my discharge paperwork or on the online chart, so I don't even know if they even successfully got it after readjusting several times

hello! i feel like i should properly (re)introduce myself here 😅

hello to you visiting my humble tumblr and to you who saw this post on your dash. thank you for following me / checking out my dumb blog.

as it has always been, my tumblr is a collection of my latest obsessions and beloved pop culture pieces.

right now i’m super into spy x family.

other animes i love are cardcaptor sakura and honey and clover / hachimitsu to kuroba

currently watching jujutsu kaisen (i am a nanami kento lady, but i do want me some gojo satoru ngl)

manga and anime gakuen babysitters is my personal definition of comfort and warmth!

that and studio ghibli films with whisper of the heart and kiki’s delivery service being my favorites.

aside from japanese animation, i also love japanese dramas and movies with hana kimi 2007 holding a very special place in my heart and soul.

in general, i adore the aesthetic and storytelling ways of asian dramas and movies. i particularly love how they have mastered the slice of life genre.

of course, i must reassure fellow longtime tumblr mates here that arashi is still and will always be a treasured part of my life. i may not be reblogging them as much as i used to 10 years (!!!!!) ago, but i very much love them still and i sorely miss them.

if you’re curious why my tumblr name is chiizuburger, the burger part is indeed because of nino’s hands hahaha. and yes, nino is my ichiban.

WH… WHAT YEAR IS IT?

I wanted to get this posted for may 1st but 10 pages with alright pacing are a lot harder to produce than I thought? Anyway, here’s the first chapter.

I did get some recommendations about Monty being this or that, and I thank you for them but I always kinda knew he had to be a slightly altered subnautica Stalker. I mean??? I can’t post another picture cause I’m at max but LOOK AT EM? the colors are very similar and their faces are loooong

Vampire mc. Like it could be an add on of angst if like they failed to protect mc when mc got attacked by a vampire, got turned into one. Like they can make a cute but vamp!mc is thirsty now- 🧛anon

(I started typing one for each brother but they winded up a little longer than intended. >u< I'm gonna break this up into 7+ parts, one for each character! Gonna use this post as the intro and master list for it, so each time a new installment is posted I'll update this here. Part I will be posted in just a minute!) Intro:

Nobody was at fault.

The Devildom is filled with horrors. Dangers lurk within every shadow, eyeing you as easy prey and waiting for the right time to strike. It was honestly a miracle you hadn't been attacked sooner.

Despite that, everybody naturally blamed themselves. You shouldn't have been alone, they should have been by your side, why did they let you out of their sight? They had been naive.

You were locked up for a month in the Demon Lord's Castle, not that you remember much. The first two weeks were the worst. The room was bare, with a mattress and little else. The rare decorative wallpaper had been tattered with scrapes from your nails. You hardly recall anything more than flashes of confusing memories.

Diavolo restraining you with an anguished expression. Barbatos pinning you to the ground with a firm hand. Solomon chanting as you wailed and clawed at the floor by his feet, unable to cross the magical barrier that separated you from his tantalizing flesh.

You were not a pretty sight. It was for the best that those three would remain your only visitors during your stay at the castle. They wanted to look for a cure, but by the time they found you it had been too late. They knew this. They tried anyway.

Vampire metamorphosis is not a pleasant experience. By the third week you began to mellow out and regain conscious thought, but you were moody and irritable and oh so hungry. Your gums hurt. Everything felt hazy.

By week four you managed to stop yourself from gnawing on the mattress and it was decided that you were stable enough to return to the House of Lamentation.

Finally. You craved familiarity - your bedroom, your possessions, your best friends. But everything felt new, and you were a changed person. No longer the human exchange student.

Changes needed to be made, and it took a couple more days before you were permitted to leave the castle. With few words, you finally went back to your Devildom home.

Happy 1 year anniversary to this blog!

It was yesterday...though I do find it fitting that I've been focused on writing so much that I forgot lmao

When I first had the idea for Infamous, I didn't work on it right away. The concept was cool, yeah, but was it enough for interactive fiction? A medium I never even tried before?

I let it marinate in my head for a while wondering if it would be a good story or not. I listened to a lot of music, made a lot of idea boards and outlined routes but told myself I wasn't actually writing it. Just playing in a new literary sandbox with no strings! I was very close to not publishing my idea because it felt like it wasn't a story that I could handle. And it was daunting. I've published stories before, but they were completed novels that I could just forget about it and move on from once I was done. This was a commitment! I kept asking myself if I was even a good enough writer for the plans I had haha

But it didn't stop bothering me and I was getting irritable over my own brain creating this whole world without my permission. So I posted the intro post on a whim just to see what would happen! Turns out, I'm really happy I did!

One year later and there's been a whole community of people who have enriched the story and elevated it to a place that I wouldn't have been able to do it on my own. The amazing fanfics, the head canons, fan art and the suggestions, it's been really nice to work on this with the support and encouragement I've gotten. I think the best parts of the story so far have come from the collective, not me, and knowing that there are people who watched me serve my ideas on a platter like "here. take it pls." and accepted it is really nice. I'm grateful :)

thank you guys for reading the story and being kind to me and my ideas and having so many discussions over these characters that were once just in my mind, alone with me to tend to them. and to the if authors who have been here much longer, thank you for welcoming me with open arms. thank you to the group of if authors in particular who took me under their wing and gave me advice on how to handle things and how to move forward. you didn't have to come into my dm's and give me guidance or help me, but you did anyway and im eternally grateful!

I'm excited for 2024 to be the year that we really dive into the story. I still can't believe we're only 2 chapters in. it feels much longer, doesn't it? lololol
