Stella is in an expensive pajama set in an expensive bedroom in an expensive house. An expensive security system guards this house. Stella wonders how Andrew managed not to trigger any alarms. Is he some sort of fucking super spy?

And then Stella sees the blood.

Her first thought is to be sorry for the woman—either herself or her mother or their maid—who will have to clean the carpet. Her second thought is to run towards Andrew, which she does, to cup his face and tilt his head upwards. Like she can inspect him simply by looking deeply into his eyes.

"What happened to you?"

Juniper feels awkward and uncomfortable when she wakes up in someone else’s bed. 

First of all, there is not someone curled up against her — not Burns, not Lila, not even Harris or Spirit. There is a vacuum roaring where someone to comfort should be. 

She stumbles out of bed, finally remembers, in her weary haze, that she had gone to Andrew’s instead of going home. She was lonely in the city, after dropping Lila off at Spirit’s with an awkward hug exchanged and not much else in the way of kindness.

She is still in yesterday’s leggings and sweatshirt, but she doesn’t mind the sort-of-grimy sensation. She’s more concerned about her host. 

Gently, she enters Andrew’s living space — taking more time to marvel at the size of it all than she had last night. He is still on the couch, somewhere half-awake, half-asleep. 

“Thanks for letting me crash,” she says, attempting to sound as casual as possible. “Do you want — should we get — bagels?”

Thinking about Matt and Neil going on their own country tour together during Matt's last year spring break where Matt has a big signing bonus for his team.

Matt: "Hey Andrew, you know how you and Neil have those cute couple road trips during school breaks?" Andrew: "We're not-"

Matt: "So I'm taking him this time and we're going to have our own cute couple road trip. Bye!"

What follows is Matt and Neil's cross country trip trying out all these fancy food places because Neil's relationship with food is still weird and Matt wants Neil to enjoy nice things.
