i’m working on the next part of the realms pr au trust me i am but i got this tiktok my fyp and suddenly i’m thinking of a NEW au for dc x dp. video is at the end i came up with this at 2am (like usual) so there will be errors

prompt: Danny’s the Ancient of Space, he spends most of his time floating around space because he’s on a vacation by his council to enjoy his life as a baby ghostling and a young prince since he’s still too young to rule so he has someone as a regent (not sure who yet). So he’s just going around, passing various planets and solar system. He’s essentially swimming around because he looks more like a mer than a human.

Danny should’ve realized that someone was going to notice him at some point, he didn’t realize it’d be a few years after Clockwork had spat him out in this universe. He’d been enjoying his time witnessing the birth of stars, of nebulas being born and the death of a solar system. The universe he was in made his core thrum with life, he’s gotten to feed it heavily that it puts his main obsession on the back burner. He skims his finger tips through the stardust of a star that had been born, molding and shaping it until it joins its brethren to form a constellation for the planet he was curled around.

The planet had no life yet but he knew that would change one day, he could feel its core yawning and turning. It’d get its push once Life had the opportunity to focus on it and breathe into the core. He was balance, his essence seeping into the planet’s core as he does his part of aiding the formation of a baby solar system. His body twists as he swims languidly through the vaccum as he does flips and turns. Moving through space with his newly formed tail felt like he was in the ocean, the movement so naturally and freeing.

It’d been when he finally drifted away from it and towards the Earth that was so similar to his back in his own universe he could never return that someone picked up his presence.

It’d been when he finally shrunk from his rather large size to something relatively smaller as he curled around a moon near Uranus. Away from any prying eyes as he allows himself to drift off into sleep.

It’d take someone to had been looking at one of Uranus’ moons to realize that something was curled around one, something large and green.

Captain Marvel could only stare in awe at the figure that curled around one of the moon’s of Uranus. The figure was beautiful, pale green skin that seemed to glow before dimming and brightening again. They seemed eel like if the way they seemed to move their body to curl around the moon of Titania. Where legs would have started, instead goes into an void of darkness, with a green glow that was a sickeningly shade of bright green that dimmed and brightened.

It was beautiful as it was eerie. The glow seemed to start from the hips and continued down its sides and tail, the fins flaring every time the creature seemed to breathe. A fin from at the top of the spine and continued down the entire back until it reached a stop before the end of its tail.

Captain Marvel knew that the other members in the Justice League were in awe just as he is, something about this being screamed otherworldly. It screamed magic and it made him very being thrum with energy he’s never felt before. He wanted to say something, to speak about what would be the best course of action to take to see if this being was a friendly or a hostile. Before he could even say a word, Constantine released a curse.

“Why is there a bloody baby ghost of the Infinite Realms here?”

TLDR: danny is very much a baby ghost prince living his life watching everything in space and making new things. he’s basically the equivalent of a baby god playing toys (planets and solar systems) and has no idea that he’s giving the JL and JLD a heart attack because oh my god that’s a baby ghost. but also OH MY GOD THAT’S THE BABY GHOST OF THE HIGH KING. still unsure who takes on the role for danny, pandora? cw? frostbite? a random oc? i know people use jazz as a regent but shes like a teen and deserves to live her life without having to deal with ghostly duties.

now danny’s got these people wanting to care for him cause he’s just out in the open in space and they don’t want the high king to get upset if their son is hurt.

For all the things this fandom refuses to believe and chalks up to John's lies, the thing that baffles me to see so many believe without question is the idea of Perfect Lyctorhood.

Guys. Guys, there is no Perfect Lyctorhood.

Or at best, if there hypothetically could be, it's nothing we've ever seen. Paul is the closest thing and I know a lot of you would not consider Paul perfect. John did not achieve Perfect Lyctorhood, and it wasn't even his idea to claim he did. A quarter of NtN extensively details that he didn't.

The old Lyctors didn't know what Alecto was. John definitely told them more than he would have liked to, because of course she doesn't lie and is too obviously inhuman to hide it fully. But if they knew everything, Mercy wouldn't doubt that Alecto ever had a genetic code; she would know she didn't, or that any genes she might've had were made from John's own blood and bone.

Because they didn't know what she actually was or what actually happened (foreshadowed too by Mercy's "if you had lied about anything else" lines, when actually he did), they drew the wrong conclusion. They assumed something different in his process allowed Alecto to persist. But we now know the truth is that Alecto was simply too big to consume. She didn't die because she was already limitless. This will never apply to another human. But he lets them believe their conclusion because he thinks it's better and easier to talk his way out of than them figuring out the real truth.

It does remain possible that Anastasia and Samael were genuinely on the cusp of that breakthrough, but I honestly doubt it. That was another conclusion drawn by the Lyctors as a follow-up to the previous wrong one, and when John answers, he visibly hesitates. It feels like he's once again going, "....Sssure, yes, let's go with that." I don't know what Samael and Anastasia WERE on the verge of. Maybe they would have become gestalt like Paul, and the possibility of just one dying was why Pal begged Cam "don't look back", and John was afraid of the power they'd achieve (could Paul have greater thalergy than a normal Lyctor?) and/or of just the others seeing a different process and getting mad at him.

AND/OR, ACTUALLY? Especially if their attempt was one of the earlier ones (around the middle rather than the end), but even if it wasn't: I think a Paul situation has a STRONG possibility of being exactly what happened. John's most outright lies are usually the ones other people tell that he just nods along with. When it's from himself, if it's not feigned incompetence, he usually goes for half-truths and misleading truths. He says Anastasia panicked halfway through and if he hadn't stepped in they would have both died. I think it's very possible that John panicked halfway through as he realized what they were doing, and that it's genuinely true they would have both died— in the same way Camilla and Palamedes both died, to create someone new.

And we know how much John hates change. How desperately John needs to keep his specific people close. What are the odds he was so afraid of losing both of them and being left with a new person he didn't know, couldn't predict, and couldn't easily control with them having a whole Lyctor's power and maybe more? Especially if Cyth and Loveday, Cassy and Nigella, Cyrus and Valancy, Ulysses and Titania, maybe even G1deon and Pyrrha— if any others hadn't undergone the process yet, and there was a chance they'd see Samastastia and decide that was the path they wanted too. If he thought this meant he might lose all his friends instead of only the less favored half.

Either way, though, based on everything we know, there is no simple soul swap that results in dual immortality. Even John and Alecto involve a fusion of megasoul. "You and she are one." (This is also likely how a seemingly real facet of John could talk to Harrow in Alecto's dream.) And we've seen through NtN, the soul longs for the body. The body longs for the soul. A body housing a different soul doesn't last long, even when those souls ARE semi connected. A body even temporarily renting space to a foreign soul is a massive strain, like Cam carrying Pal.

Lyctorhood inherently involves death and consumption and acting against nature. It is the indelible sin. It's possible that Grand Lysis avoids that sin by making it about mutual death, about giving instead of taking, but it's still bittersweet at best. I highly doubt we're going to see a perfect solution that fixes everything, at least via more necromancy, because that's not the kind of series this is. It's messy, beautiful in its flaws, embracing the understanding that life is change and things can never be exactly as they were, and can rarely be exactly what you want, and letting go and moving on are necessary parts of life eventually.

Don't misunderstand! I do think Gideon will either be resurrected (perhaps the last true one ever) or there will be another way for her and Harrow to happily be together. In Gideon's case, there was nothing natural about her death, and the decision to say "no" is a rejection of the system that led to it.

I just also think the odds of rewriting the laws of life and death entirely are more likely than Lyctorhood But With No Consequences. It always has consequences. There is no Perfect Lyctorhood, but there's something good on the horizon, whatever form it takes. After all...

Sort of a long confession, sorry

As somebody who once stopped watching Solarballs once because I was mad at how “Earth was handled” when he offended Titan.

All I can say is:

Refusing to watch something because you’re upset at how a character you love or kin is not behaving like how you assumed they would is no reason to blurt “Out of Character”. Like I remember I was angry and thought Earth was “Out of character” like most ppl at the time also believed. But then I watched previous videos and realized that I was wrong and Earth actually was a bully at times

And I notice that this seems to be a huge issue in this fandom. People get obsessed with their fanon that they get angry that canon doesn’t do the same. Before Neptune’s debut, some people assumed he would be a girl, others thought he was gonna be mute. But people got angry when he turned out to be silly and forgetful that they came up with this idea that he’s secretly evil. (Like…When MLP fandom made creepy ass fanfics of Pinkie Pie killing her friends and even children) So many people are obsessed with this idea that they take screenshots of the moments where he isn’t smiling just to say “Two face Neptune canon!” As if he isn’t allowed to have other emotions. Like they forget that Neptune’s been shown to have a potentially traumatizing backstory (Solarballs please, I’m begging you to go back to that…)

People were also mad over Rhea being a soft girl just because she’s the second largest Saturnian moon??? (Have you seen Saturn? The second largest planet? HER PLANET???) Oberon is a soft boy sometimes and he’s the second biggest Uranian moon!

Then people assumed they knew everything about Titania just by her debut episode and complained when she was talking to Titan. They…were not flirting, the scene was not at all romantic, saying this as somebody who does ship them. Personally I think Titania is wearing a tough girl façade just like Europa and that’s why Europa is the one trying to warn her not to make any sudden decisions. She just doesn’t want Titania to make the same mistakes she, Ganymede, and Titan made and I am here for it!

Anyway, the list goes on and on but this confession is long enough. But in conclusion: Don’t be upset when your character predictions are wrong. And if you really do want it your way, write your own version! AND PLEASE DO NOT HARASS PEOPLE WHO ARE STICKING TO CANON OR LIKE WHATEVER IS IN CANON, THAT IS CROSSING THE LINE!

Looking back erza and laxus had INSANE beef. Legit I counted and early on almost every single time he's on screen hes slandering her for no damn reason. I thought this was kinda funny cuz like, my man what is your damage??? But then I thought about it and it makes sense.

Imagine you are laxus at 15, your father is constantly preaching that the guild isn't strong enough and all these weaklings are dragging it down. You believe him of course because he is your father and obviously we all need to be strong, that's why dad forcibly implanted a lacrima into your skull because you needed to be stronger to remain in the guild. Then enter gods most pathetic kid who barely speaks, knows almost nothing about magic and looks like she's been run over by a bus a couple times and the master just, let's her in?? How on earth is that gonna make this guild stronger old man. Ivan was probably pissed and laxus just picked it up by extension.

Not only that this little jerk who should be like, inherently weaker then you by your fathers logic, manages to make s class only 2 years after you, making her the youngest wizard in fairy tail history to become an s class at 15 (cough a title that used to be yours).

Oh and also, as time goes on word spreads about how powerful she is and people start calling her titania queen of the fairies, while you are literally in line to inherit it. if anyone is the queen it should be you.

You finally have enough of this and at 23 years old you create this whole elaborate plan to become the guild master you hold the entire city hostage with a ring of insanely volatile lacrima around the city that will nuke whoever attacks them so they can't be removed from the sky. Perfect plan right? Wrong. That same fucking ginger destroys 89% of them even after you inform her that she will die she does it anyway and has the nerve to survive. That asshole.

Years later all that is behind you, sure you'd love to be guild master but the guild has disbanded and honestly you aren't totally sure you deserve it. You joined blue Pegasus with some of your buddies and it's going ok until suddenly a hoard of your old guildmates burst in and tell you fairy tail is back! Great news! Except who's the guild master? Well you're never gonna guess.

This whole chapter, man...

Oberon is shipping these two so hard, the randy deviant. Elias and Chise's mutual shock is telling. Elias had clearly not considered this yet. Obviously, we now know from later chapters that his idea of marriage was vastly different than a human's; or rather, it was lacking in some key details. Sexual intimacy and procreation were not even factors for him.

But, at this point in the story, Chise is still uncertain about Elias' intentions. He has proven he's not an actual pervert, but now she realizes that the fae are expecting them to have a marriage in full. Does that mean that he really does intend to marry her and make children with her?

She had been clinging to him this whole time, and then when she thought about him in *that* way, she lets go, embarrassed. This is definitely the first time she's imagined being with him intimately, even with all his talk about "honeymooning".

His reaction to seeing her looking at him like that and blushing, is his non-existent heart thudding against his chest. He's not fully aware of everything that's happening in Chise's head, but he's having a reaction to seeing her thinking about him like that. Then Titania acknowledges that Oberon could be useful. He got them both thinking about kids, or rather the getting of them. Even if Elias still seems clueless about it, Chise is not.

It seems Oberon even got Titania herself shipping them. To her, a wager on whether or not Elias and Chise will eventually be married in full is silly, it's a given. It's wiser to bet on how prolific they'll end up being once they get to that point.

This chapter deals with the topic of sexual intimacy more so than any others, albeit in a way that is safe for teenage viewers to watch. As we see later, the story goes on to focus much more on their emotional bonds rather than their physical relationship, which is both necessary and wise. Neither one are ready for sex, they're still too immature and broken for that. But I don't think that this chapter was the result of a publisher forcing the author's hand, either. I think the idea of this being eventual endgame was presented early in the story for foreshadowing.

Interestingly enough, this is also a chapter that gives a lot of hints as to what Elias actually *is*. Titania refers to him as her own child, but Spriggan calls him a Liath anam - "grey soul".

He is a half-baked thing. Spriggan seems to be implying that many fae souls were lost to make him, giving credence to the idea that he's a chimera. Oberon says that was the result of human sin. This makes me think he may have been created as one of Cartaphilus/Joseph's experiments. Perhaps Titania gave him life.

In any case, I think that these two topics are inextricably linked in the story. Chise and Elias are already married. There are parent/child (or master/apprentice) aspects of their relationship that apply to both of them. At different times, they parent and teach one other. But their bond has grown beyond just those roles. There relationship has become romantic, but not yet sexual. They love each other as husband and wife, and Chise will develop a stronger sex drive as she matures.

I'm not sure if Elias will, but he definitely seeks out physical intimacy with her. I think once he's aware of the possibilities, he'll crave it. He's not totally uneducated on the topic. He knew what Chise meant when she asked if he and Angie were lovers, and he also thought that Renfred might want Alice to further his lineage. He's got at least some rudimentary knowledge, but he doesn't see to want it for himself.

Of course, all that depends on *what* he is. He has no organs, but he has physiological reactions as if he does. His non-existent stomach is in knots when he's worried for safety. His non-existent solar plexus is pained when Angie punches him there. His non-existent heart thuds against his chest when Chise blushes at the thought of making love to him. His non-existant blood runs cold when he's lonely. Might his non-existent...er...man parts experience sensations as he unlocks "new" feelings associated with her?

Could unlocking those feelings be the key to him discovering his true form?

The primary point of Elias finding Chise was a journey of self-discovery. Oberon refers to his flesh as something he wears for her sake and wonders how long it will hold. Perhaps he was simply referring to Elias hiding his more inhuman looking form from her. But I don't think we've ever seen Elias' true self. He shifts forms based on mood and convenience. I think that when he discovers who and what he really is, he'll be able to settle on that form, and that it will be compatible with Chise in all sense of the word "husband". Chise will be able to be completely vulnerable and fulfilled with him, and he will delight in the fact that there are looks she has for him that she gives to no other person.

In the meantime, it is a pure delight to watch them grow as individuals and as a couple. There relationship is so pure and so sweet exactly as is. I do think there will be more for them one day, but they are also content with the way things are now, and that's beautiful to me.

kinda wild to think about how much ike and soren’s first meeting as children changed the course of tellius’ history.

most of you already know how the story goes, but ike stumbles across soren slowly starving to death in the forests of gallia. in direct contrast to the abuse and scorn soren has only ever known up to this point, ike not only gives him his lunch to eat, but actually wants to help him further, promising to return the next day with more food and even offering to bring him back to his home. while soren ultimately refuses the latter offer and ike disappears the next day, this act of genuine, unconditional kindness is so earth-shattering to young soren that he chooses to spend years searching for the boy who saved him. after finally locating him, soren joins the greil mercenaries and chooses to repay ike’s act of kindness by exclusively dedicating his arcane and tactical abilities to aiding him, even when ike himself is still unable to recall their first meeting.

with that established, let me start diving into the ramifications of all this by stating that soren is nothing short of a tactical genius. in fact, it wouldn’t be much of a stretch to claim that, even in his young age, he’s likely the best tactician on the continent. it’s honestly kind of a blessing for everyone else that ike has no desire for power and soren just follows his lead, because if he really wanted to soren could probably have the entire continent in the palm of his hand in like 5 years just by pulling the strings from the shadows.

now, this isn’t just me extolling soren’s virtues because i’m a fan (i am, and that’s what i’m doing— it’s just besides the point); if soren hadn’t decided to join the greil mercenaries, it’s honestly pretty unlikely they would have even managed to survive daein’s onslaught. even with titania and greil’s combined might in combat, they still had to contend with daein’s sheer quantity of soldiers up against their small mercenary company. in real life, numbers are a really big deal in warfare— even if you’ve got a group of professional soldiers going up against a bunch of untrained peasants drafted into an army, if those peasants outnumber the soldiers enough, you’re probably going to lose unless you can come up with a really good strategy. while yes, this is fire emblem, the same franchise where just one guy on a horse could literally solo the entire campaign just one game before, a lot of that ability to survive maps comes from you as the player being able to strategize and effectively command them. this means that even though titania can hard carry the entirety of fe9’s early game, if you just plonk her in front of the enemy’s line of mages with zero terrain cover and a single iron axe, she’s probably not going to survive.

as such, this is exactly what makes soren so important to battle as a whole. diegetically speaking, your role as a player is essentially managing ike and soren’s jobs in the army. not only do you command the forces (ike), you’re also the one handling things like budgeting of weapons and supplies, as well as working out the specific strategies meant to guarantee your army’s survival and success (soren). consequently, ike’s decisions as a commander rely heavily on soren’s advice and tactical acumen to make sure his forces aren’t just immediately decimated the second he gives orders. simply put, without soren’s tactics essentially performing miracles to allow the greil mercenaries’ tiny number of forces to defeat daein’s massive numbers, they’re all probably going to die or end up captured. in the best-case scenario, elincia somehow manages to evade daein’s forces and get to gallia, but the more likely outcome is her capture and subsequent execution.

if elincia does manage to reach gallia and go to caineghis for aid, it’s unlikely she would be able to garner much in the way of any sort of protection, considering the mercenaries are gone and any laguz forces are likely to be very unwilling to fight for a beorc princess. any battles from here on out are going to be significantly more difficult, and while it is theoretically possible for her to defeat daein and reclaim crimea with begnion and later gallia’s help, the odds of it actually happening without their forces being defeated entirely would be astronomically low.

if elincia isn’t able to reach gallia and then make it to begnion to petition for aid, or if her forces are ultimately defeated by daein, ashnard’s original plans of marching through crimea to invade gallia and dragging all the other nations into it would have continued. while gallia was definitely far better equipped to handle a military invasion than crimea would have ever been, they would still have to deal with the combined forces of daein and begnion once the latter is dragged into the beorc vs. laguz conflict (assuming elincia doesn’t manage to reach begnion). considering how much of a nightmare it was for them to fight begnion in fe10, they’d similarly petition for aid from kilvas and phoenicis, effectively forming the laguz alliance three years early. with that in mind, while i ultimately doubt this conflict would fully manage to awaken ashera without hatari’s and, depending on how events turn out, goldoa’s involvement, it’d still be an extremely messy and bloody war that would leave scars on the continent far greater than those of the canon mad king’s war.

if ike hadn’t found soren that day in gallia, there likely would have been no patriotic hero and princess of crimea to bring together the continent to defeat daein and save crimea. the rifts between beorc and laguz would have been deepened instead of bridged, and in the same way ashera would remain asleep, the pain and suffering of tellius would be left unchanged, continuing to haunt the living as the bloodied bodies of the dead piled higher and higher. ironically, amidst all the great and legendary feats ike would come to be known for, his simple act of genuine kindness would ultimately be the catalyst for the salvation of tellius.

SUN — sits comfortably somewhere in the transmascneu range i think. pangender, encompasses anything and everything. makes little to no effort into really transitioning simply because he has better things to do! he has a solar system to run! also he is above the concepts of gender. whether you think hes more "masc" or "fem" means nothing to him. hes the sun.

MERCURY — the most trans transmasc to ever trans. i dont know if hes more male or nonbinary leaning but that honestly just depends on the day for me personally. probably more nby. he 100% would go through with physically transitioning because the dysphoria is killer

VENUS — literally the complete opposite to mercury, the most trans transfem to ever fem. honestly see her as more butchy, but only really becomes more comfortable with being more masc once she has transitioned (transitioning in this case just meaning socially, though physically i imagine shes on the fence abt it. change and whatnot. she does have a bit of a chest though i think #boobs)

Firefly and Sam / the Past and the Present

Hi. Let's take ibuprofen together. And by 'let's take ibuprofen together', I mean that I have a theory and I am tying you down so that I can rant to you about it.

(Unless you don't want to see spoilers so MAJOR SPOILERS FOR HSR 2.1 AHEAD, YOU HAVE BEEN WARNED!!)

Okay, so. Firefly. It's revealed that Firefly is Sam at the end of the quest.

This theory posits that that is very much the case HOWEVER, it is not Firefly wearing a mech suit like some have speculated. Instead, Sam -- *Sam's body* -- his entire mechanical make, IS Firefly.

From story implications, it's alleged that Sam is a "remnant of Glamoth's Iron Calvary". According to Firmament Frontline: Glamoth's relic set, Glamoth's Iron Cavalry are "genetically engineered warriors that possess superhuman abilities" who fought against the Swarm.

"In their short lives..." No wonder her name is Firefly...

That aside, this leads me to believe that these so-called warriors did not start out as robots, but were instead manufactured by way of the disease that Firefly suffers from.

I want to emphasise the use of *reality* and *dreams* in this context for my next point. The distinction (or lack thereof) between reality and dreams is fundamental to how the Iron Calvary works. The cavalry was telepathically connected to "Titania", their empress. And according to the Relic Set, these warriors are "woven into dreams." This leads me further on to believe that in order to be woven into dreams, their physical forms have to slowly fade to then occupy and be turned into a mechanical suit that was ultimately built to serve its ruler, and protect its people from the Swarm.

So how does Firefly appear as she does in the Dreamscape?

I think it's Sam simply dreaming and wishing for the form that they once had. In reality, Firefly has either disappeared entirely OR her body's consciousness has completely detached itself to then occupy the mech.

This is further supported by her leaked lightcone image. It doesn't depict her occupying Sam, instead, she's in some kind of shattered vat (the 'icy medical cabin', if you will). A visual metaphor for the shattering of dreams and reality, perhaps?

So, TLDR so far: Firefly is Sam. Firefly was a citizen of Glamoth that was turned into a member of the Iron Calvary by way of Entropy Loss Syndrome in an effort to fight back against the Swarm. In the current reality, there's only Sam; Firefly as we see her in the Dreamscape no longer exists. Sam is dreaming of their old 'human' body whenever they enter the Dreamscape.

Now, at this point, you're probably thinking that I'm contradicting myself here by brushing over the 'icy medical cabin' possibility. Right now with what we know so far, it's only feasible either Firefly no longer physically exists OR she does, but she's trapped. But, stick with me, I'm going to explain how it's possible that both outcomes can 'co-exist'.

In Act 1 of the quest, it seemed like Sam and Firefly were in conflict with each other at one point. At first, I thought this was also evidence that goes against this theory. However -- this opens up an interesting possibility as to how these two interact in the Dreamscape. Firefly acts as the younger and possibly more idealistic version of Sam who brashly charges forth to achieve her goals, meanwhile Sam is Sam, the Stellaron Hunter and seasoned warrior with more experience under his belt.

Now, who runs in parallel to this possible narrative? Who have we, as players, *directly seen* go through an eerily similar Dreamscape experience?

From Aventurine's POV, we actively got to see this process of a person's Past and Present interacting in the Dreamscape.

Meanwhile with Firefly, we only saw glimpses of the process in Act 1 and the results of it in Act 2. It's possible that at the end of Act 2, the Past and Present of Firefly / Sam had come to accept each other and were now ready to confront the Trailblazer, much like how Aventurine had to accept his Past and Future in order to go through with his big gamble at the end of his arc.

So, back to the 'icy medical cabin' contradiction. The Firefly that has manifested in the Dreamscape is a Past version of Sam that was in the process of being turned into a Iron Calvary soldier.

Kakavasha's behaviour supports this notion too, given how he reacts to the Dreamscape in ways that would make sense to him in his current state of mind at the time of being a child.

This possibility also has the potential to explain a lot of what Sam was talking about here...

Is it also possible that these "11 times" he's referring to was Sam's attempts to save his Past self from 'dying' in the Dreamscape? Living vicariously through her, only to find out she was fated to be destroyed from the very beginning?

Another fun bonus! Doesn't help either that both Aventurine and Firefly have experienced 'Death' in the Dreamscape. It's as if the Dreamscape is allowing those who die in its grasp a final glimpse of their life.

"Life is flashing before their eyes" when they "Die" in the Dreamscape.

nadia - 2nd gen fleshripper! though her parents are both long since dead. she isnt involved in a lot of active fighting that her clan does and doesn't leave the interior or the soaring dragon very often. she was one of the fleets navigators and got hell for it from flynt whenever they got caught in the flash freeze. ruiz - old boat engineer that lived in the bay who is forced to run maintenance on the fleshripper's ships. he goes along because the faster he can get them off of the glacier the faster that theyll leave them the hell alone. but he makes things Much worse when he tries to take more drastic measures to ward them off. flyntlock - originally was a part of baron’s crew but pushed to the fleshrippers when he died instead of joining the bloodshots. may or may not be a straight up robot (?) instead of a cyborg like most of the other rippers. hes kind of third wheeling captains marriage. its a little embarrassing. titania - meets hammerlock when she catches him out hunting and they are uhm. well they almost made it to being friends! almost. but she values the wants of her clan over him + the other residents of liars berg so when captain gives the order she starts knocking down doors. shes got a very direct way of thinking and though she acknowledges what the fleshrippers are doing is wrong, it doesnt stop her. mutya flynt - sparky's mama :(. outlives both her husband and her son and is in charge of whatever's left of the fleshrippers when BL3 comes around though theyre not really pirates anymore. she has her men stick to the water because its far out of the COVs interest. shes in hyperion custody during borderlands 2 and misses most of the fighting. she also wants 2 attack zane with hammers. jenny-mae hodunk (flynt) - politically engaged to sparky but they never make it to the wedding for. vault hunter reasons. was born and raised in the hodunk clan and took the absolute first chance she could to get out of there. shes moxxis niece! though shes young enough that she doesnt really remember her.

Clove D&D Headcanons (Valorant)

Ok, Riot put D&D into Valorant with some of Clove’s voicelines.  As a resident Valorant and D&D nerd (I’ve DMed and played more than 20 different campaigns) I wrote some headcanons.  Please like, reblog, and comment if you enjoy!  

Clove 

As the Dungeon Master, they are in control of the entire story.  Mostly...

The campaign setting is 100% Runeterra because let’s be honest, if League of Legends is canon in Valorant, then yeah D&D would be in that world too

Often meeting famous characters along the way

Currently the story is taking place against the backdrop of Piltover and Zaun fighting each other, which the party finds themselves in

The group is trying to keep the escalation low by keeping Runes from ending up in the hands of either side.  They have to balance this with their own allegiance to certain characters though

Clove’s own joy comes from writing the most fan-fic inspired story and injecting as much drama into it as possible.  Like they actively find the most dramatic way to resolve an arc

They always listen to podcasts that have campaigns.  Their favorite so far is called ‘Role a Crit’ which introduced them to the hobby 

Clove can surprisingly imitate accents despite theirs being nearly impossible to understand sometimes.  They slip into voices well too, lowering theirs to a growl or into a high pitched squeak

Has a number of playlists for battle music, fantasy ambience, and creepy sound effects for whenever they need it

They do have a character they played before joining Valorant though: a Sorcerer named Titania 

Clove keeps the character sheet and some art they drew of her in a shoebox along with some of her other belonging from her old life

Titania appears as a guiding presence for the party whenever the group needs direction or quick save.  She’s one of the favorite NPCs in the party

They revel in the moments the party realizes that there’s a huge twist or when they have a climactic battle.  The grin on their face is diabolical and hides how excited they are

Clove’s dice are from older editions and worn a bit from much use.  They have a set of dice in the colors of Non-Binary Flag they were gifted by a friend that they use most

They also have a comically large twenty sided die for boss battles too

Gekko 

He has Dizzy sit in his lap while he sips whatever he brought to the table

He’s playing a Vastaya druid called Raldo, that leads around a massive Flutterbug named “Tio” that he adopted from a nest

Every single time the group comes across some kind of animal, he is the first to try and adopt it

“Guys, we totally need to bring these little guys with us.  Think of how awesome Basilisks would be to ride into battle!”

He has a small entourage of critters everywhere he goes, which he constantly drops spells on to let them swarm everybody 

He’s played a ton with friends before, and has a bunch of dice left over from that.  He taught Neon how to build her character

As a result, he’s the first person she asks about rules and their characters started the game as a duo and stick together

Has Wingman there for fun and lets him roll his dice

Wingman has his own character in the game, courtesy of Gekko being bored one night.  It’s a simple Minion, and the group love him to death

Wingman is able to roll dice, but sticks to taking everyone’s shiny dice

This has become an ongoing issue, because Wingman likes shiny and will steal right from the table if allowed

Wings does have a character in the game.  A simple Minion that comes along with the party and just does follows 

Gekko’s dice are clear green and yellow resin dice, and plenty of marbling with shimmering resin

One of the designs on his skateboard is a Twenty Sided Die surrounded by runes and ‘Buena Suerte’ written underneath

Neon 

She’s playing a Fae Fawn ranger that is new to the world and has no idea what is going on.  She’s never played so her having no idea what’s happening is built in to her character

She named her character ‘Holly,’ after the flower because she thought it was nature-themed.  

Almost named her ‘Wreath’ but decided against it.  She had a long list of flower and nature inspired names 

Has the most unhinged plans whenever playing.  Like breaking into a fort by setting fire to the inside and blowing the drawbridge up when the guards run across

“Look we can see they’re excavating some powerful Rune.  We should just run in and grab it for ourselves and then kill them all with it right?” 

Once hit a Natural 20 to shoot a fleeing NPC with important information.  After she killed him she asked: “So did we win?  I rolled high so I think we did.”

Luckily Clove improvised that the NPC had some mysterious letter to account for the sudden shift

In the grand scheme of the story, her character has been tasked with finding out where her sister has been taken too by raiders.

Neon has the books loaded up on her phone at all times and still doesn’t get all the rules.  Gekko usually helps as well as Clove

Listens to some of ‘Role a Crit’ when she’s killing time on the treadmill.  She gossips with Clove about the latest episodes and fan theories

Neon always sort of thought the game was a bit too complex to learn.  She has since dropped the judgment and really embraced it now that she’s played

Her dice are on loan from Gekko and Clove.  A mixture shimmering teal and bright yellow sets

Neon is really getting into the community around it and some of the lore.  She mostly likes being able to talk about the game and have something in common with the others

Also bombs the chat with memes about the campaign and inside jokes

Phoenix 

A human bard but one with ties to a bunch of dragons that gave him training for magic in exchange for him entertaining them

He named his character Monte Gildedgrasp.  It’s a character he’s played in previous campaigns before

His instrument is a lute crafted with scales.  He has sound effects queued on his phone for when he uses it in the game 

Flirts with anything that moves, and sadly rolls high enough to get somewhere.  Then rolls so abysmally when he tries to commit to the bit

“You haven’t seen hot if you haven’t seen me.” he says to barmaid and has amazing charisma to back it up.  2 hours later he was robbed and stabbed by her 

“...not feeling as hot now…anyone got bandages?...”

When his character sings, he also sings and does an amazing job of it.  He already could freestyle, but doing in old English is a flex

Adds insults and mockery before rolling to attack enemies.  In Shakespearean style though so he can use some old theater skills

This man was lowkey ready to dress up but didn’t cause nobody else really would.  It’s their loss, he has a good sense for costuming 

Lends a hand to the party a lot.  His magic and healing spells come in clutch whenever the party needs it too

Clove fashioned a web of intrigue for his and Jett’s characters.  Phoenix’s dragon allies are going missing and Jett’s character may know who is causing it

It’s caused both of their characters to be slightly suspicious of another.  What’s even more fun is that both characters are also crushing on each other in spite of it

Phoenix is more than capable of giving a heart wrenching performance if needed.  When a distraught mother came to him, he delivered the most beautiful and comforting speech

His dice are on loan from Killjoy’s massive dice stash.  He picked them out himself, and promised not to singe them

A speckled rust and orange dice that have cracks of bright gold and numbers written in old Gothic font.  The numbers also glow in the dark too

Phoenix lives for the stage, so having a small outlet to act and sing a bit feels incredible for him

Jett 

Playing a human assassin that has been working her way towards a target that wronged her a long time ago

Her ex-employer is sort of the main villain.  A chem-baron that is killing magical creatures to make new weapons from their corpses

Jett’s character, Dysha, used to kill for that same chem-baron before leaving after realizing she felt guilt for the innocent lives she took

Clove loves dark backstories, so Jett is getting the full character angst and recovery treatment from NPCs and the Party

She will bluff and lie, and somehow manage to get her way because the roll is high enough.  It’s always for ridiculous lies though

“Yes I’m supposed to be in baron’s room after dark!  I’m his…uh mistress?  Why do I have a knife and have him tied up?  Uh… roleplay?...”

That incident is not to be brought up by the party unless they also want to die

She uses her character as an excuse to do things with friends in sort of a lowkey way.  Being able to cook some food and eat it together is main reason for coming

The fun story and in-jokes are a bonus

She is the second flirtiest after Phoenix’s character, and the two constantly have their characters flirt and have romantic moments

Phoenix’s character soon discovered she helped kill one of his draconic mentors in a twist orchestrated by Clove.  It was such a huge shock to the whole group

Jett and Phoenix flexed their acting skill by having the characters make up and agree to no more secrets between them.  Then they kissed (but insisted it was only performance)

Nobody believes them.  

Her dice are metal and come in a tin decorated with so many stickers.  She bought them at a comic shop in LA the younger agents visited once

Jett lives for dramatic stories about betrayal, love and misunderstanding so she’s dying to see where the campaign leads

Killjoy

She was the first person to tell Clove to try getting a group together at the protocol knowing full well it would work

She’s obviously played for a long time, and been entrenched in geek culture as a result

Yordle named Suza with a whole lot of Hextech gadgets.  She is smol and the group protects her like a little sister

Potentially deranged though, she invents insanely big guns and uses them for just about everything

Killjoy cackles in her character’s airy voice as she releases a bunch of dice into a box and counts the damage numbers 

Is the most versed with rules because she’s played the game forever, and leverages it constantly 

Places artillery and gives advice to the party for combating certain creatures they encounter.  Essentially she plays both for the characters and because she likes wargames

“I understand that we might not have access to modern technology, but we could easily use magic to fabricate the parts of a Nanoswarm and use magic to then animate it!”

Has done makeup based on her character and shown up in clothing matching the aesthetic of Suza.  She’s dedicated to fully embracing it

Has one really big artillery cannon she wheels around called the Krieg that the party can use once in a while.  She rolls a ton of dice for the damage it puts out 

She instantly calculates rolls as well, and has a bit of a habit of metagaming because of that because she’ll run odds 

Doesn’t let that get in the way of her story though

Her character had a bunch of her own blueprints stolen by some Zaunites and she aims to take them back before they build machines of war from them

Met Raze’s character by getting saved by her in the first session.  The two are inseparable in game and in real life

Total dice goblin, like has an entire bag filled with them buried in one of her drawers

Uses a mixture of dice from rare events and collections, 

Her favorite are some that Raze made from pouring resin into a mold and hydro dipping in yellow and orange

Killjoy is glad Clove has the campaign because meeting a fellow nerd is always great 

Raze 

She plays a buff Chirean named Pearl that was part of the Firelight gang before leaving on her own quest

Has a hoverboard because of this and wields a length of pipe covered in razor wire.  Has a scavenger vibe to her 

Shamelessly flirts with Killjoy’s character at the table, and the party is FOR IT

“Hey Suza, I could really use some repairs to my board.  Mind coming over to the garage and giving it a look?” said while leaning in to a blushing Killjoy

Surprisingly gets really into character, playing a stoic badass that has a chaotic streak  She lowers her voice and shifts her body language to match the vibe

Also her character has a tendency to put people into headlocks and bearhug them.  This is acted out in real life

Pearl is surprisingly the heart of the group and has a tendency to sit with the characters and talk things out with them 

She ended up helping with Dysha and Monte’s own falling out by supporting them both and holding them together after they made up

Never misses a chance in game to ram her hoverboard into someone and punch them in the jaw.  She has a collection of gold teeth she’s knocked from other people

Her character introduced herself by nearly breaking Gekko’s wrist in an armwrestling competition

Draws all of the characters at one point in her free time.  The art caused so much hype when she unveiled it at the session

Her character is a bruiser, but a bruiser with a heart and a wish to see the world she knows become better

Raze’s own dice are partially on loan from Killjoy’s massive collection which happen to be her favorites

They are an assortment of dice that make a rainbow, each one being a different color and transparency

Killjoy taught her to play over the course of a few sessions with the group and the two sit together at the table because Raze would always want some help

It’s stayed that way for obvious reasons

Yoru

Was begged to join, and eventually relented for a few weeks before leaving and agreeing only to come back at the end of the campaign

He’s playing as a Voidborn swordsman, specifically inspired by old Samurai movies.  Yoru didn’t care about making a character but just took a pregenerated one off of Clove

Turns out, Clove knew how make a character Yoru didn’t hate playing.  Especially cause she gave him a cool backstory 

His character, Tets’ Uya, is the banished leader of an army of Voidborn.  After regaining some more power, he will get revenge for his banishment

Raze and Him frequently go on rampages in combat because that’s his favorite thing to do.  He usually finishes off enemies, so he gets to describe how he kills them

“I take the pirate captain by the throat and hold him over the ocean.  Tets’ Uya whispers, ‘you’ll do better as a corpse than as a captain,’ then he drops him in.”

Sick moments like that, especially because Yoru leans into the intimidation his character has and has the group back him up

Even though he sometimes gets bored out of his mind waiting for a turn, he pays enough attention while checking something else

After a while his character left the group because Yoru was done.  He returned his dice back to Clove and started a project in the garage 

A couple weeks later during a climactic battle between some Celestials and Zaunites, Yoru showed up with his character to back the group up for the final showdown

Clove went to hand him his dice, but he instead pulled out a tin of dice he bought himself

And apparently it was this goober, Baby, using the damn toilet for her business! I knew cats could do this in real life but I had no idea sims 2 cats were capable of it too!

[in-vent… ex-vent… in-vent… ex-vent… there’s chatter all around her but she can’t make out any of the words her fellow gladiators are saying. Her spark is too loud in her auditals and her processor too focused on her venting.]

[A single voice echos in her mind. “You’re going to The Championships, Titanium.” She can’t even be bother to be offended that The Manager got her name wrong, she wouldn’t even be able to guess their name. She can’t remember their face, just their voice… and the bolt of dread that ripped through her when they spoke.]

[She had gotten lucky… an Elite Gladiator with no kills. The crowd had been more than happy to see her kick her opponents afts to the point of hospitalization but The Championships are different… The Managers won’t open the gates until one of them is offline. Was this punishment? Probably. They always wanted more energon spilled than the crowd did.]

[Someone taps her shoulder. She looks down at her comrade. “The gate is about to open…” their voice lacks emotion but their optics show empathy. Everyone likes him, and everyone knows how he took Titania under his wing. The Managers must be getting a kick out of this.]

[She can’t bring herself to speak so she gives them a small nod of acknowledgment instead. They nod back and leaves her be. Her optics focus on the gate in front of her. She hears the announcer, he must be introducing her since the gate is lifting. Her steps are sure but her spark sputters as she walks out into the arena. The crowd cheers. Then the announcer speaks again and the gate across from her starts to open.]

[And there he stands… her mentor… her friend… Death Tracks. He smiles and waved to the crowd as the cheering gets louder but his smile doesn’t meet his optics. It never does.]

[They stand across from each other, only a few feet apart. Her servos shake and she clenched them to get it to stop. He holds out one of his. She hesitates, she’s scared that she’ll break down if she touches him in such a friendly matter in this moment. But she can’t deny him, this will be the last time they’ll have the chance to interact in a way that won’t lead to one of their deaths.]

[When their handshake ends the announcers speak for the third time. Again, she can’t make out the words but she does recognize the gong that signals the beginning of the fight.]

[He picks an axe like usual and she picks her shield. Death Tracks is able to get a few good hits in because of her tunnel vision. It should hurt. It doesn’t. It never does until the fight is over. The fight goes on for almost a joor. He takes the offensive for most of it while she takes the defensive. Finally she gets the upper hand and she’s able to twist his axe out of his servo and into hers. He’s on the ground, her knee on his chasis keeping him pinned.]

[She hears what the crowd is saying for the first time. “TEAR OFF HIS HELM” is chanted. Death Tracks looks at her. He nods and closes his optics, ready to be decapitated. She holds his axe above them but she can’t get herself to swing it down towards his neck. She can’t do it. She won’t. But she won’t be able to leave if he breathes and he’s done fighting back.]

[The axe swings down and the crowd becomes louder. Then sparks fly. His helm still attached to his frame. But his spark is split. It’s quick. It’s as quick as she could make it.]

[The announcer cheers with the crowd. A new Champion emerges. Death Tracks, the first bot other than a Manager to greet her lies dead. She whispers a small prayer to Primus that he taught her. She hopes he’s finally found peace.]

[The crowd cares little about her not listening to the chant. The prospect of a new Champion is too exciting for them to really mind. But The Managers… she feels their glares on her back. She will be punished.]
