I always will remember when someone wanted to dunk hard on bg3 having bugs and always having to patch those, comparing with Pathfinder WoTR, saying that Pathfinder was a well done game and had no big issues and got mad when I pointed that actually crpgs are very complex and hard to make, and always has lots of bugs on the start and that, in fact, Pathfinder WoTR still has bugs and hotfixes and even through is very good, is not perfect like they wanted to make seem.

So guess my happiness when I saw on my steam that Pathfinder WoTR (a game released on 2021), now on 2024, in less than a week the game got two big patches not only for the new dlc but also... for bug fixes and then they just pushed a few days after ANOTHER hotfix.

Jaheira is not Gorion’s Ward/Charname’s stepmom. I don’t know WHY Lily and Mikaila hold a grudge against Jaheira and her romance specifically, but in the BG videos and now here, they always try to argue that Jaheira is “basically your parent." She’s just…not, at all. She’s not your aunt, she’s not your teacher, she’s not your mom. She’s your companion.

You do not formally meet Jaheira until the player character is 20 years old. An adult. While she describes herself as a friend to Gorion (your foster dad) and POTENTIALLY, YEARS AGO, if Gorion died, she and Khalid would have stepped up and taken care of you…this DIDN’T HAPPEN, so the pair have never seen you before. That’s why when introduced they don’t go “Oh it’s Gorion’s Ward I know you,” they ASK if you are Gorion’s Ward because they literally have never met before.

There’s an age difference, yeah. It’s not as large as Lily and Mikaila seem to think. Jaheira doesn't have a listed age exactly, so fandom has a habit of adopting a lot of different things. However, we know she's born during a specific event, which is during the Tethyrian civil war. That war officially starts in 1347 DR, though you can back a couple number of years for that to ramp up. According to the wiki, Gorion's Ward is born between 1346-1348 DR, because timeline is wonky. So, there's an age difference somewhere between 1 year and at most, 10 years. That’s not that old, definitely not old enough to be called your ‘parent,’ and again they never met before that moment in BG1. That’s the MOST HORRIBLE, DEPRAVED RELATIONSHIP of all of Baldur’s Gate? Really?

Onto the other point: Jaheira’s husband dies at the start of BG2. Okay? Our dad died a few months ago too, our friend Imoen was just captured, a crazy wizard hates us, we’re just kind of busy. Jaheira and the player character are processing and upset about all of these circumstances. You both were tortured together at the start of the game, it's how Khalid (Jaheira's husband) died. It’s presented that you got closer due to your shared grief and work to continue adventuring together. I don’t think the writers were writing for Jaheira going, “Wow isn’t this so crazy and evil and wrong of us!” I think they just found that dynamic interesting.

Just say you liked other romances better or something, this is so childish. Don't you have more siblings to draw cuddling? Go back to that.
