Wallace and Gromit Vengeance Most Fowl Spoilers below‼️

(This was going to be a bunch of separate posts but they’re too short to be on their lonesome so enjoy my mindless rambling)

When Wallace went over into the grassy area I KNEW we were getting a Shaun the Sheep cameo but I expect SHAUN not the FARMER I’m still so happy though Aardman spoiling me again ☺️ And heck they might’ve even had Shaun in the corner or something and I hadn’t noticed because I was too shocked at seeing the farmer like I KNEW hed be there but when I saw his backside I was thinkin “No. WAY” yknow?

How do you think they did the scenes with water and milk? I’m sure theres an obvious answer but I genuinely wonder because it looks smashing (They used CGI, It was in-fact obvious)

We got more moments of Gromit acting like a dog, Aardman you do take care of me ❤️ He’s so cute in his dressing gown and his slippers I love him

Bro when Gromit looked so happy to get a pat from Wallace and then he whipped out that invention like bro NOOO GIVE HIM A PAT I'm so glad he did at the end they're so cute

The REFRENCESSS bro when Wallace finally saw Feathers my fingers were crossed so hard I was praying he’d say “Good Grief! Its you!” again because that line delivery is so funny and he DID, and the “cracking toast” line omg Aardman knows what their fans want

I was hoping Fluffles would be at the final scene with the tea party but seeing the way it played out makes it understandable

We didnt get to see them hug which upsets me, also a severe lack of cheese imo

I literally didn't watch the trailer nor the teaser all the way through because I was worried I'd piece too many things together and spoil it for myself and Im glad I didn't because I went in knowing practically NOTHING

did you guys SEE Gromit as a kid? I know we got baby Gromit but now we have ADOLESCENT Gromit he’s so CUTEE his eyes are so BIG and Wallace was BALDING

Best part about this is once I stop obsessing over W&G (and who knows when that’ll be) I’ll start obsessing over seeing more Shaun the Sheep seasons. With Aardman you’re ALWAYS winning

I knew Gromit wasn’t going to die because like you can’t do that? Plot armour but I was still so worried cuz he was dangling there and I was scared Wallace was gonna jump after him but NORBOTS FOR THE WINN ugh I love them all they didn’t deserve being used like that

I’m probably reaching but I saw so many parallels between The wrong trousers and Vengeance most fowl which I love, on purpose or not it was nice to see them

Why was Norbot so freaky at the recharging scene

BROOO WALLACE DIDN’T WANNA EVEN TALK ABOUT LOSING GROMIT THAT SO SAD THATS HIS BEST BUD RIGHT THERE he looked so betrayed when Gromit didn’t like Norbot I feel bad for them both if only Gromit could talk

Talking of which Gromit and Feathers are so expressive which is like “duh they’ve always been” but like they cranked it up several notches in this movie e.g. that scene at the end with the turnip Feathers reaction was so animated I loved it

They both look so big in their dressing gowns I love them so MUCCHHH RAHHH

I cannot remember that last time I was actually surprised by a plot twist because WDYM IT WAS A TURNIP? THIS WHOLE TIME?? Wallace had the diamond in his HANDS and nobody had a clue oh my round of applause for Feathers because that is just clever 👏

When Gromit hugged Norbot in the end UGGHHH THEYRE SO CUTE

Not enough people are talking about Onya Doorstep

Gromit looked so confused Feathers smacked him they’re both so funny I want to fill them with an unhealthy amount of carbon dioxide

If they’re serious about this I’d love that Ron deserved more screen time

Ben did a great job mimicking Wallace’s voice, but there’s still a noticeable difference when compared to Sallis’ and don’t get me wrong I’m glad we’re getting new W&G content, but I also really wish we still had Sallis

Final thoughts on Five x Lila situation

I get it. But I don’t want it.

I get it because of the following:

- Five deserved a piece of happiness after his long sad lonely life

- Five also acted totally in character the whole time. He retired and found connection with someone. Of course he didn’t want to leave. But also of course he eventually revealed he found a way home, because he knows it’s right.

- Lila was struggling with suburban life, and allowed herself to fall into this fantasy of living off the grid with someone who treasures her. The SECOND home was found, the fantasy broke and she didn’t run from it.

- Lila didn’t “trade suburban housewife with being a cottagecore wife”. Her life with Diego involved a pessimistic husband, organizing loud children’s birthday parties at arcades, living with family, balancing children schedules, etc. The time in the greenhouse involved survival, which is more “adventurous” than suburban life. It’s also paradoxically more peaceful.

- The mental vs physical age thing and age gap isn’t a big deal in canon for these characters based off their previous work fucking with time

- I did love seeing two hard-ass stressed badass characters be soft for one another.

- After six years, the growing hopelessness and realization they may never go back home, you’re going to intimately connect to each other in ways no one will ever be able to match, regardless of your past experiences with them. This is a very common troupe in fiction.

- Technically it was cheating, but I think the post-apocalyptic space-time forced proximity desperation is a very valid excuse and shouldn’t be seen as cheating, ESPECIALLY when she went back home the second she knew she could.

- Aidan as an adult gave consent to the scenes. We need to realize he isn’t a kid anymore, he can decide what he wants to do and we should respect it.

I don’t want because of the following

- I still feel icky that Lila knew Five with a child body, and now has romantic feelings for him? THATS the taboo troupe I personally can’t get behind. Age difference? Weird but fine. Knowing them as a child? Nope. But I also get this is a personal preference/feeling/reaction with the fiction I consume. And I know I said before their previous professions shows they know different mind/body age, but that doesn’t change the fact he had a child body when they met and she watched him grow up.

- It also feels icky the importance the writers put on Five having a romantic subplot RIGHT when Aidan was of age. Especially cause Five / Aidan are so sexualized. It’s not necessarily WRONG, I just feel icky about it.

- It was shortened because the season was short, so it didn’t land as well as it could.

Here’s the main reason I didn’t want it.

IT DIDNT NEED TO BE ROMANTIC LOVE.

I am aroace. I understand that deep intimate connections can be made without romance. Similar to how everyone says Frodo and Sam were gay lovers when in reality strong platonic bonds can reach that level of devotion and intimacy. Not every character needs a romantic partner, and Five never displayed any romantic or sexual affection for ANYONE until this.

(Before you say anything, YES he did have Delores, but that was also just a need for connection when alone for decades. That doesn’t change the fact she’s not a real person, and he would very unlikely be attracted to her without the traumatic apocalypse world.)

ROMANCE. ISNT. NEEDED. FOR. DEEP. CONNECTIONS. we could have had two platonic soulmates living a happy life together, with kisses on the top of their heads, sitting shoulder to shoulder reading books, holding hands while looking for scrape metal. BUT NO. IT HAD TO BE ROMANTIC. UGH.

Like the stuff post-subway could have been similar still without a dumb love triangle. Five could have been Lila’s person, like Meredith and Christina in Greys Anatomy. And when Five sees Diego and knows Lila’s feelings about their marriage and such, he would go into protective mode.

I will admit I’m bitter about media putting romance on a pedestal. And I’m also not saying Five should be canonically aromantic and/or asexual. I just feel the weird parts of the situation would have been “fixed” if it wasn’t romantic, just a true platonic bond.

As Kitty and I ran through the crowd of people to the hospital, we finally made it. “Hello.” The receptionist said.” “Hello. ROSE - chapter 12: niki or riki?

synopsis: after she turns 18, y/n’s parents arrange a competition for young suitors in her town to compete for her love, a family tradition that brought about her parents’ marriage. twelve men are selected, but who will win her heart?

“do we know what the party theme is?” niki asked, staring blankly at his kingdom-supplied wardrobe.

“no but it’s a party. have you never been to a party?” sunoo questioned, already fully dressed. niki sighed.

“not my kind of thing. but clearly it’s your scene…” niki mumbled, watching as sunoo posed in all kinds of angles in his mirror for no one but himself.

“you clearly need my help. let me see what they’ve given you.” sunoo gleefully stood up and clapped, skipping over towards niki’s closet.

niki pressed his lips together in a thin line, not sure how this was going to end up.

on the other side of the castle on the highest floor, princess y/n and her self-appointed ‘assistants’ danced around her bedroom, picking out different dress options.

“not that one- I wore that to a banquet last month.” y/n sighed, vetoing a light blue gown made of silk with little daisies sprinkling down the trim.

“okay what HAVENT you worn.” joonie defeatedly questioned, flopping onto y/n’s leather couch under her bay window.

“honestly who knows.” y/n admitted, laughing.

“alright I know you hate doing this but you’re gonna have to if you want an outfit…” youngeun suggested.

“ugh but it feels so….” y/n trailed off.

“princess-like? well yes!!!” sakura finished.

“fine.” y/n gave up, walking over to the telephone system by her bedroom door that connected to the castle guards.

“good afternoon princess y/n! how can I make your acquaintance today?” the guard on the other line cheerfully spoke.

“hello sir! could you please send up the wardrobe and makeup artists? we need some party outfits!” y/n requested.

“of course princess! they will be up in no less than five minutes along with some refreshments.”

“thank you so much!” y/n politely hung up the baby pink telephone and walked back to the girls, slightly embarrassed.

“come on y/nnie!! the wardrobe and makeup artists LOVE to assist you, it’s literally their job! in fact it’d be more disrespectful if you DIDNT ask for their help!!” isa pointed out.

“I guess that’s true… I just feel demanding.” y/n admitted.

“you should be excited!! also, did I hear that they’re bringing us snacks???” joonie excitedly wondered.

“are you only friends with me because of my snacks???” y/n accused, laughing.

before joonie could respond, a knock at the door cut through the girls’ laughter.

“that was much faster than five minutes- did they teleport here??” sakura asked, appalled.

“adora magic!” y/n giggled, getting up to open the door.

two hours later, y/n stood in the golden three paneled mirror at the back of her walk-in closet.

“I feel like I’ve worn too much pink recently..” y/n admitted.

“but it’s your color!” marjorie, y/n’s wardrobe assistant brightly declared.

y/n wore a floor length tulle dress in an ombré of pinks, it had a corset bodice paired with ruffled straps. it was gorgeous.

“thank you marjorie.” y/n smiled, bending down from the mirrored platform to give her a hug.

on the other side of the castle, niki and sunoo were restlessly playing games in their shared room. niki was now dressed in a black suit, the jacket had a sparkly beading pattern that sparkled when the light it just right. he (or rather, sunoo) chose to pair it with silver necklaces and a short dangling earring.

sunoo was also wearing a black suit, his had a black mesh vest underneath and he wore silver rings on nearly every finger.

after silently playing rock paper scissors for what felt like forever, they had now moved on to playing chopsticks repeatedly because it was the only game they could think of that wouldn’t mess up their outfits. before they began their next round, a bell rang throughout the castle, followed by a voice on the castle’s intercom.

“good evening gentlemen! I hope you had a successful time at selecting your outfits for tonight’s party! now if you would please report to the castle’s second floor ballroom, we can began tonight’s festivities! see you there gentlemen!” an excited guard spoke.

niki and sunoo nervously stood up and took one last glance at the mirror before leaving their bedroom and heading down to the second floor ballroom. they weren’t entirely certain of their way, they just followed the pattern of guards lining the halls.

the second floor ballroom was decorated wall to wall with golden and pastel shades. there was a dance floor located in the center of the room, and tables marked with name tags for each suitor. there was a buffet the length of two walls, covered in food. multiple waiters stood behind the buffets organizing plates and preparing to serve drinks. the princess sat on an elevated platform located at the front of ballroom, which she protested against non-stop, thinking it was far too much for a party.

as two guards entered through the double doors at the back of the ballroom, the six winning members of the blue team entered, smiling from ear to ear.

niki nervously played with his rings and slowly looked up at the princess, now standing in the center of the dance floor, hands nervously placed behind her back as she smiled at the suitors.

the six men now stood in a line before here, unsure of what to do next.

“good evening!” princess y/n grinned, looking at each of them. “shall we dance?” she asked, excitedly.

the men all nodded and y/n looked off to the side, signaling for her friends to join her on the dance floor.

“this is going to sound weird… but as I dance with one of you, the rest of you will dance with my lovely friends… does that makes sense?? it’s only so you don’t just awkwardly stand and watch me with dance with someone else!” she laughed nervously.

“also! it’s so we can get to know you!” sakura interjected, mischievously giggling.

the boys all laughed along, pairing up with the person stood across from them.

niki was the first to dance with the princess, grinning as he stepped forward to meet her.

“niki!” she said, placing her hands on his shoulders. “do you remember anything from the first time we danced?”

“I remember being terrified of you…” niki chuckled, making the princess laugh as well as he placed his hands around her waist.

“you were so nervous- but today you danced so well???”

niki shyly looked at his feet.

“oh not this again- niki we need to have a nice conversation face to face!” she laughed.

“if I must…” he jokingly rolled his eyes.

it was funny how the two of them immediately got along well, sharing the same sense of humor and banter.

“oh by the way- the first time we met you introduced yourself as riki but now I keep calling you niki… like even the guards call you that now…” she awkwardly admitted.

“I was wondering why you were doing that!! I just assumed you forgot my name…” niki confessed.

“honestly I technically did.” she laughed.

“wow… so I’m just that forgettable.” niki jokingly whispered.

“oh relax. how could I forget your inability to make eye contact with me while dancing!” she teased.

“that’s foul.” he laughed. “but look how good I’m doing now!” he wiggled his eyebrows at her, making her burst into laughter.

“you’re weird riki!”

“I thought my name was niki though?”

the two made jokes back and forth and kept laughing, dancing together longer than they were actually meant to.

this was because while the girls were dancing with the other suitors, they kept a secretive watchful eye on y/n and niki, each sharing a mischievous glance as they noticed the chemistry between the two. the four girls wordlessly agreed to continue dancing with the other suitors that y/n and niki could keep dancing.

“we have been dancing an awfully long time…” y/n curiously pointed out, minutes later.

“is this your way of telling me you’re tired of me?” niki accused.

“yes! I want to eat food.” she laughed.

“okay well you’re the princess, it’s your call!”

“I guess that’s true…”

“i promise I won’t be offended if you want to go eat food.”

“you will be offended though!” the princess pointed out.

“am I that transparent??” niki chuckled, pretending to be offended.

“oh whatever. I guess I can keep dancing with you. as insufferable as you are…”

“sorry what was that last part?” niki raised his eyebrows.

“I said as great and wonderful as you are!!” she laughed.

“right… right…” he nodded, suspicious.

after a moment of silence the two began laughing again. even making eye contact made the pair burst into laughter. they got along so well even though they hadn’t known each other very long.

eventually they quieted down and smiled at each other, not saying a word as they danced. just smiling at each other.

ugh youre such a dream thank you for such detailed answers! its so appreciated and i feel as fresh as coming into the fandom all hopeful in summer 2022, up for discussing!

re this: '[wills'] sexuality is less explored in regard to the most baseline aspects of being gay. Is it infantilizing because he's our cute sweet little victim? Is it because he has yet to actually pursue his love interest in the narrative? I'm still working on pondering this myself!! Because it isn't at all how I viewed his situation or character.'

would LOVE to hear more thoughts on this, because i too have not figured it out. tbh, the whole party growing up was a hard pill to swallow at first cos its bittersweet, but it never made me deny will's character a coming of age arc or sexuality arc. i was like - welp, its happening, whether im sad or not that theyre no longer babies. infantilisation makes sense though - i even had non-fan friends who watch the show assume that will was a few grades below the other boys, and much younger.

perhaps for many, they can't accept his growing up because it's reflective of change in general, of the show coming to an end, changing? this is narrative the show itself explores, though - beautifully, i might add.

but i would love to know what your original thoughts on will's character and this storyline prior to all this spicy policing were! how did you view his growing up? was a sexuality storyline inevitable for you?

One thing I never fully understood is the general unease or being uncomfortable thinking about members of the party "growing up" and now viewing them in a different light, meaning getting involved in genuine teenage experiences like sex etc etc et al. I guess I just do find that frustrating sometimes when my view is: everyone grows up, we're there. Hit with: "but we saw them as kids! We watched them grow up! It's weird!" But WHY? I want people to explain why. Stupid analogy, but I think of how dumb it would be if my bf saw some home movie of me as a little kid and turned to me to say "well, unfortunately I can't fuck you anymore. Turns out, you were at one point - a child!" 😂 it sounds like that to me though!!!

Yeah we can still see our cute little babies s1 but we can also watch s5 and appreciate the journey, the coming of age. That's what's gonna make stranger things such a cool show, watching the actual journey from childhood to after (didnt Linklater film Boyhood over a decade to capture growing up in real time? Cool idea, never saw it). It's like any child star in the Hollywood industry. Miley was on Disney but then she started her adult career and were people initially odd about it having a pretty sexual angle? Yeah. Then everyone had to get over it. I acknowledge and understand the adjustment period, but it's frustrating in fandom for these boys that at large it's such a hang up. And, they're fictional. I know the irl actors portraying them plays into all this but... still.

(Then we got the M'leave-hers out here wanting Mike and El to get married and start having babies in s5 while we can't even talk about byler having a heated makeout or joke about Mike checking out Will's ass without pitchforks thrown our way. Booo)

As for what I thought for the shows trajectory, I did always hope we'd get an exploration of Will's sexuality as time went on. I really thought that was built into his character from the beginning (and it was and I was right) like it's one of the first things we learn about this little boy, with what Lonnie thought of him ☹️. I always wanted to see what they actually did with that and now it'll be a really, really incredible payoff if he does Get the Boy. I wasn't even really thinking too hard about byler back then but I can't even describe how heartbreaking that little moment when he tells Joyce "I'm not gonna fall in love" is in context, just... it always gets to me. S4 was a game changer and seeing what they were doing with Will and Mike? Hooked me. Decided to actually look into the fandom as something I wanted to engage w beyond just TV and the occasional pretty gifset or funny interview clip I came across on my dash or theories on reddit - shock and awe when eventually I saw how the vocal asshole fans acted. Debates and witch hunts over how far just a kissing scene can go? Sad.

Byler is great, byler is cute and palatable until you acknowledge that gay teenagers feel desire and maybe have sex, woah! People were even weird about aged up fic and art and everything! Still stumped to an extent about it. Our canon gay character (two, actually, just yet to be hmmm canonized lol) gets the sanitized treatment while Steve and Eddie and all their fanon post 7000 E rated fics w little complaint. (Finding out that was actually as popular as it is really shocked me?) I'd celebrate that and care about them more if the differences weren't so annoying. Just because of the age thing. Oh, get over it. Wish I'd taken a stand from the beginning and just did what I wanted without feeling awkward and going with the status quo. Lame. But maybe this is better, so much nicer having complete openness and a relative fresh start.

- ashe being there surprised dakota so much it broke him somewhat out of his bad mood! in grizzlys words "if he wouldnt have met ashe right then, dakota would have been so much more angry and miserable at the beginning of this episode. he mightve just straight up left. got up and walked away."

- he didnt want to talk to william or vyncent at all, so ashe being there (however unwillingly) as a third party made things easier and almost softened the blow of vyncent yelling at him in the moment

i knew some of the context of past fine thanks to the anime, but i was unprepared at how clear they show tsumugi’s frown at the start. but then they have him smile for the performance and UGH the change in expression is so good but pAINFUL

this exchange piqued my interest but i didnt know what the details were exactly until i finished the whole mv and rewatched it again. 

the somewhat bittersweet/sad expression on tsumugi’s face as he looked towards eichi. then immediately followed by eichi’s look of surprise as tsumugi turns to continue singing. now my thoughts were all over the place so i actually went and search for the lyrics video of Genuine Revelation on youtube to find the english translation 

and apparently, this was the line they were singing; “The stars that can no longer shine will be annihilated”. Thankyou Nasumi Violet for their video (link sends straight to where they sing this line)

my brain is small for this i feel like this has an underlying meaning because of the contract and because this is their last performance but i feel like im reaching 

the next part that interested me was eichi’s surprised expression, and i was thinking to myself, why’s the man surprised?

his eyes were kept on tsumugi’s in confusion/curiosity(???) so whAT’s happening why is this here happy ele whAT ARE YOU COOKING

so i decided to look at the other mv and went to the part where they sing the same line. you know just out of curiosity its not like they have the same movements or anyth-

oh. no wonder eichi’s surprised

obviously im not expecting them to do the same choreography because their stage is different here, but this action of having their hands reached out like that is definitely something they planned beforehand. so for tsumugi to not reach his hand out the same time eichi does, maybe eichi does have a reason to be a bit surprised. not enough to disturb the performance, but enough to be taken aback

makes it a bit interesting, however, that their duo line lasts for four bars, and their hands reaching out like that only comes on the second bar. However, tsumugi reached out for eichi on the first bar. a whole, 4 count bar before eichi does it (that is to say, the one in the animation mv, eichi’s hand reaching out was delayed slightly compared to the game mv but its basically the same thing)

its one thing to have their choreography be like that, camera angles and everything. but its another thing if eichi tenshouin is SURPRISED mid performance and thEY MADE THAT VERY CLEAR 

i also noticed, at least for the game mv, that this was the only time tsumugi and eichi interacted onstage. the other 89% of the time, the two were apart with hiyori and nagisa between them, as if deliberately keeping them separate

so for tsumugi to not even have his hand out the same time eichi does, where its the ONLY time for them to interact onstage, on their LAST performance together makes it oh so painful 

ignoring technicalities aside, its also like tsumugi cant bear to look at eichi for long. and eichi’s surprised expresssion while he reached out to tsumugi, who’s turned away from him, its like he’s watching someone slip away from his fingers, the consequences of his actions catching up to him and he’s not even realizing it

This woman has no chill. She is extremely sexual. Like boarding on sexual harassment except you can't tell her to tone it down so you just have to deal with her constantly making extremely sexual jokes and turning everything into a BDSM reference. Like you do you. You be into what you want. I'm all for you exploring your sexuality but one of the big tenants of BDSM is Safe, Sane, and Consensual. She doesn't ask for consent. She simply "is herself" and makes that everyone else's problem. But the other romancable characters tell her to stop, to stop hitting on them or to stop insisting they perform acts with her, and she just straight up refuses. If I could play the game without adding her to the contestants, I would. I think she wouldn't be so bad if she didn't push boundaries and even jump over them. She needs to get over herself. Ask people for consent. Ugh just take her away from me please. I beg of you. I hate her so much.

She is overtly sexual, like grossly so, and cannot take no for an answer. She is also constantly crossing the MCs boundaries.

ok so fun fact when i tried to play jumin’s route i hated it so fucking much i abandoned ship on day 7. this is a grown ass man who is far too immature (and has too much money) to be romanceable like can he see a therapist first? i’m not his therapist. i’m not. i’m not his cat either. why are you locking me in your penthouse does this LOOK like amnesia: memories. also i hate that in order to gain favor ability you have to act like a jerk to other characters at times and also i love jaehee (his secretary that he makes do Fucking Everything For Him) too much to want to date him romantically. imo he’s a great character in other routes, but in his own it’s just…. :/ . did i mention i hate the whole “getting locked in his house” thing. 

he makes jaehee do so much shit that is WAAAAYYY outside the scope of her job description???? she’s his personal assistant. he makes her take care of his personal — completely unrelated to the company— projects related to cats, makes her watch his pet cat at HER APARTMENT OUTSIDE OF WORK HOURS (as far as i can tell he didnt pay her extra for that, though she does get paid overtime) which is so wildly entitled of him to do, but he’s a rich man so. in every route except for jaehee’s and his own— in jaehee’s she quits altogether and in jumin’s she gets a long awaited and well deserved vacation— he piles her with so much more work than is reasonable. for example: in another story she is tasked with— on top of her regular work tasks — to become the HEAD OF AN IT DEPARTMENT FOR COMBATTING HACKERS. also, he constantly pushes zen —someone who is very, very allergic to cats— to interact with his cat. like he wants to take his pet cat to their charity party/event, and seems very blase and uncaring and disbelieving to the fact that he’s allergic, and that other attendees could be too! and as another example: in zen’s route he offers zen a job when he’s looking work— but it has to do with modelling for a cat food brand, and interacting with cats. which he’s explicitly told jumin he doesn’t want to do. they reconcile and it leads to zen giving in and doing the modeling job :/ now, i don’t dislike cats— i love cats! but i’m also very allergic to them (fur, dander, and saliva) so this hits a little close to home. but constant exposure to an allergen can trigger chronic asthma and asthma attacks, and chronic asthma can be very damaging to someone. it can damage their lungs! it’s not a matter to be trivialized! and even if zen’s allergies were “minor,” jumin’s constantly trying to force someone who’s set up a boundary time and time again about not wanting to interact with cats to interact with them and while it is a small example — at least in comparison to the rest of his route— of him ignoring/overstepping/bulldozing past boundaries, it still makes me itch!

two people: the way you describe jeno and y/n's suffocating one way relationship, I UNDERSTAND THE READER!!! jeno is perfect, he tries to fix the relationship but IT JUST DOESNT WORK THAT WAY the relationship was way over before he tried to fix it and ITS SO REAL!!!! the inner turmoil the reader went thru and the slow changing feels for mark WAS JUST- UGH *chefs kiss

potential: man. where do i even start with this fic. it's a storyline that i never knew i needed to read in my life. like bar u don't understand, potential had me in despair for the next 4 days. i can understand chenle's pain, y/n's confusion, their complicated love for each other. i don't think words can describe how special this story is to me.

the paradox is that i HATE reading angst. like if its in a long fic where its mixed up i dont mind and i think its important to have angstier parts in a long fic too but if its a drabble and its angsty i just won't read it LMAOOO

when nobody's watching was such a spontaneous fic istg i wrote it in what. two days? at uni LMAO. i got the idea when i was like,, watching this guy from afar and then i realised i ALWAYS DO THIS like i always have those silly crushes on ppl and never tell them bc im scared but i care so deeply for ppl that dont even know i exist 😭😭😭 but also i find that i used to change myself a lot to fit into social circles and even tho uni was really lonely for me at first that i kinda let go of that the same way renjun did so it was definitely cathartic to write :,)

ooh that sounds amazing! i'm so glad u enjoyed txt's concerts. i have a friend who's a kpop fan and they were telling me about how hard it is to get tickets for kpop artists in uk/eu/usa because they sell out very quickly. as for my concert stories, so no one really comes to my home country and so when i went to the uk i literally went to as many shows as i could afford to 🫣 but my favourite concert was actually 5sos, niall coming second to them. i actually bought an extremely last minute ticket for 5sos and i got it for ridiculously cheap but god they're so much fun live! but i think love on tour 23 will always be a fond memory for me, it was like a pocket in time and i'll always miss it!

heyy!! my audition ended a bit ago but unfortunately i didn't actually get to sing or dance because we didnt have enough people sign up to start auditions for that specific show, we've moved them to the beginning of rehearsals in January, so kinda bummed but at least i got to watch amazing auditions for other shows at my theatre today before the party!

we did have good pizza and sang a song from Les Miserables at our party, we also did a gift exchange and i got a hot coco + coffee + mug set!

i relate with the bowling ego! i won a game of mini golf awhile back and felt like a pro golfer loll

last year my top three songs were all 5sos, 1 was voodoo doll, 2 was lost in reality, and 3 was heart break girl! this year my top three were Cocaine Jesus by Rainbow kitten surprise, Its called: freefall by Rainbow kitten surprise and Stick season by noah kahan! although, Northern Attitude is probably my favorite Noah kahan song!

He sighs and does as you ask, and as you explain it on the car ride back: he could really give less than one fuck.

He doesn't understand why one kid going missing can be linked to dead pumpkins.

"Okay, so some lab dumped chemicals in some water!" Billy argued. "and some shithead kid went missing-"

"No Billy, you don't get it, Hawkins farms is well water! Not Quarry water! Most farms in Hawkins run on aquifers! Matt was right, why would Pumpkins rot in their most popular time of year? How did they accidentally mix up Will Byers with a different Kid, There aren't many kids in Hawkins."

"So the kid's face was fucked up when they found him-"

"Water slows down the decaying process, the skin may blister and turn colors, but he would still be completely intact, easy to recognize."

"And this has to do what with Pumpkins and national phenomenon?"

"Pumpkins dying in such mass around the fall season? Sure you lose ten there twenty here, but multiple farms practically going up in flames because their harvests are gone. There are old families that run these farms. Sure competition is rough, but rotting pumpkins? In such mass? It makes it a National Pheunonom. Looking at the gardening book, this can't possibly happen within the time span that it is." Y/n informed.

"And that means..." Billy tried to put some things together, "That the lab that they closed...what? Did something to the air or some shit? In the past they did something to Byers and that Barbara chick and now they're back at it?"

The Hawkin's lab was meant to be closed and left to rot after Will Byers and Barb's disappearance

He helped you with all your books and crap to go inside, Frank luckily not home

You spent the rest of the day scowering through pages, constantly, notes after notes, easier to be pinned to the wall than anything else

Billy had helped here and there looking through a gardening book.

"Here" He started, "Blight fungui can kill up to a large farm within Weeks."

"Too weak." Y/n explained.

"What about. Local dumbass reads to far into everything disease." He questioned.

Still despite how crazy you seem and how confused especially, he still stays to read every news paper clipping and book three times over.

He actually just ends up spending the night, accidently falling asleep leaning against the wall as he sat on your bed and you at your desk.

The next day you both wake up mid afternoon, skipping school once again as he takes you to the library

He rather just wait in the car, you're better at resources and he at helping you just scan over it again

But when push comes to shove, the world just comes to push you off a cliff

You rushed out of the library just to find Hopper arresting Billy

"Damn it! I don't know her!" Billy argued.

"Come on Kid. Lieing to a cop? Gonna put you in jail just like your old man-"

"Don't know her huh?" Hopper asked.

"Breaking and entering to the Hargrove Household and assult of Neil Hargrove-"

You were pushed onto the car and hands forced behind your back, as he cuffed you, you even complained about his was being unnecessarily rough as he dragged you to his car

And then he drove off as you keep shouting at him asking him what the fuck is going on

"Hopper? Did you arrest her?!" Joyce argued.

"Had to make it look real." Hopper spoke taking his keys out.

"Don't worry I got it." Y/n defended she taking the cuffs off and handing them back to him, "what the hell is this-"

"Long! Long story!" Joyce spoke, "come. Come here."

Y/n followed her, Joyce swipping away some loose papers

"This!" She spoke slapping a paper down, "This is you!"

“hawaii!” niki yells, throwing as fist in the air as he enters the van “riki, it’s 3am in the morning, please shut up” jay retorts, going back to sleep as he leans on the window

as if it was almost planned, you and jake sat beside each other at the furthest seat. it was complicated, you didn’t know if you were comfortable or not, you felt tense, afraid of jake’s teasing if you touch him even the slightest. yet you also didn’t want to leave your seat.

you let out a huff, trying to find a position where you could comfortably sleep in. you were spooked at the sudden hand that leans your head on their shoulders “you can sleep on my shoulders, it’s alright” jake chuckles, already drifting to sleep the second after he did that “thanks” you mumble, easing into his warmth.

you laugh a little at his aching figure “this is funny to you? after i’ve been so kind to let you sleep on my shoulder?” he pouts “i deserve a long massage during our flight” he jokes, continuing to carry your bags.

dumbfounded by the fact that you stayed with him, giving him a glance filled with guilt “y/n seriously, i’m fine. it’ll go away sooner or later” he reassures you, his heart exploding at the sight of you with glimmering eyes, feeling the guilt you expressed them with.

“what do you wanna eat for breakfast?” you mumble, taking the luggage cart from his grasp. he laughs at your attempt to make him feel better “sorry? didnt quite hear that well” he teases, making you give him a glare, almost forgetting that he was ‘injured’ you raise your hand to almost give him a punch “good thing you’re hurting or i would’ve punched your ass back to australia” you roll your eyes “you heard what i said!” eyebrows frowning as you look away “alright alright, i’m fine with coffee really—” he lets out a breathy chuckle, dragging his feet as he follows you around “—nonsense! breakfast is important. don’t give me that type of bullshit sim” you cut him off, stopping by a little restaurant as you tell the other members to go ahead “im getting you pancakes. better finish it or you’re not living to see another day”

he laughs “this is quite a unique way to care for someone don’t you think” you roll your eyes "eat the damn pancakes sim jaeyun"

after everyone had met up, you all started finding your seats. you were bewildered, somehow, because now you found yourself wanting to switch seats with sunghoon for obvious reasons. but of course, you --again, didn't have the guts to do so.

a few hours into the flight and a few glances from jake here and there, you received a message

hey pretty girl, do me a favour and go to the washroom behind you

no questions asked. i just miss you ;)

you swore you wanted to jump off the plane. pretty girl?! he misses me?!. you feel the heat creeping up in your face as you asked jungwon "hey, could you get up of a sec. i gotta go to the washroom" you whisper, mumbling a small 'thank you' before you walked to the washroom.

you felt a hand pull you "hey" he giggles, arms wrapped around your waist "you scared me! i thought i was getting abducted" you slap his shoulder. although you would be lying if you said you didn't want to just grab him and kiss him right at this moment.

he looked so good with his button up shirt, showing off his collar bones, neck wearing the beaded necklace you made for him during the summer and your birthstone necklace. his hair was messy, and you couldn't deny how hot he looked with his glasses on.

"you should consider buttoning up" you hesitantly say, looking anywhere but his eyes. of course he catches on to your intentions, but he felt like pissing you off "why? i'm showing off your necklace" he giggles "i even bought your birthstone" he grabs the necklace with his thumb, making you roll your eyes as you cross your arms, making sim jaeyun giggle.

he places his hand under your chin, finally letting you looking at him "switch seats with sunghoon please. i don't think i like the sight of you sleeping on jungwon's shoulders" now it was your time to piss him off.

"why?" you pout, "his shoulders are so comfortable, and we don't want your shoulders aching again now do we?" you give him a slight smile, well it wasn't like you weren't planning to switch with sunghoon way before the flight even started anyway.

jake rolls his eyes "that leaves you no choice--"

"can y'all hurry up? i'll switch with you y/n gosh! just let me pee!" sunghoon bangs on the door, making jake laugh "well that was easy"

oh how you regret changing seats.

because now you get to fully witness the flight attendants obviously flirting with him.

"good morning sir" she annoyingly giggles, biting her lip as she leans in way too close. jake leans back, letting out a small laugh out of politeness "hi, yeah i'd like..." he orders his food while you glare at the girl who's been displeasingly close to him "what can i get for you ma'am?"

"oh my girlfriend would like the same thing" jake interrupts, giving you a sly wink after placing his hand on top of yours. you let out a small scoff after seeing the disappointed look on the girl as she hands you the food. your skips a beat. girlfriend? you thought

now he was starting to piss you off. he was doing everything but ask you out. and with every ounce of pride you had in your soul, you hated to admit that you were starting to get really impatient. were you not obvious about your feelings? was the handmade necklace and the concern you have for him not obvious enough?

"ladies and gentlemen, welcome to Hawaii" the pilot announces, after you got your hand carry, you didn't even bother waiting for jake. immediately walking out of the plane, causing him to tilt his head out of confusion.

he didn't get a chance to talk to you, i mean, how could he when you would immediately start walking away from him whenever he tried to walk towards you.

as you sat beside jay in the tour bus, he gives you a weird look "why are you here" you give him a lost look "can i not...?" that's when he knew something happened between you and jake "y/n if this is because of jake--" you place your hand on his mouth, leaning way too close. but luck wasn't on your side today, because jake saw.

"shut up please! and yes! it is about him. so please spare me and let me sit here for the meantime" jay chuckles, "jake's going to kill me for this" he mumbles, leaning back to the chair "what?"

"nothing" he gives you a grin

after you guys arrived to jay's beach house you immediately grab your bag before jake could help you

"alright riki and sunoo are sharing a room, jungwon and heeseung are sharing, and...." jay looks at you, sunghoon and jake, not knowing what to do "you three figure it out. i'm just letting you know one gets to have their own room" jay starts to head to his own room, shrugging his shoulders as he walks past you with widened eyes.

"we already know what's about to happen. i'm getting my own room-"

"no!" you yell

"yes!" jake yells in unison,

"well......" sunghoon stood there, waiting for the both of you to talk "well, i just think i should get the room since you know-- i'm a girl and-- you and jake are best friends so you should be roommates" you explain, giving sunghoon an awkward smile "yeah sure whatever- ow!" jake hits sunghoon in the arm "you idiot! take the goddamn room!" jake grits through his teeth "you know what y/n! i change my mind. i uh, i think im going to take the room"

"why?!" you whisper with a harsh tone. poor sunghoon "IM GOING TO JERK OFF OR SOMETHING I DON'T KNOW" he yells, although he regrets it after the maids give him a weird look "ayo what?" heeseung peaks through the door "nothing! i didn't mean that. just --ugh! i'm heading out" he grabs his luggage, stomping through the hallways as he walks to the room. leaving you with jake.

you were about to have a mental breakdown "jay! you're seriously not helping me at all!" you give him a shove "ow! you need to control your strength sometimes! and i'm sorry okay? i just panicked, and i think you and jake being roommates wouldn't be a mistake. it's better to fix your problems instead of just sweeping it under the rug. you can't avoid him forever y/n" he was right. and you knew that. but you couldn't bring yourself to tell jake what was bothering you. even the thought of it was embarrassing, because what if he wasn't even intending to date you at all?

you walk back to the room, hesitating whether you should open it or not. but after hearing no noise, you open the door "AH OH MY GOD SORRY--" there you saw a shirtless jake, hair wet and his glasses having a few drops of water from his hair. he grabs your hand before you could walk out again "y/n, please talk to me" he places his hands on both sides of your shoulders "did i do something wrong? whatever it is, i'm really sorry" he panics, slightly pouting at the silent treatment you gave him "jake i-"

"dinners ready!" riki barges in, freezing at the sight of you two "oh- hey! riki, let's go!" you grab his arm, walking towards the dining room "please don't mention it" you whisper, sitting in between riki and jay.

jake later follows, now in his grey shirt and the checkered pajamas he wore earlier, he gives you a small smile before sitting next to heeseung.

"so, sunghoon. did you have fun?" heeseung teases

"shut up!"

"this wasn't going as planned anymore!" jake groans, he was currently in jay's room, ranting his frustrations out while jay listened. when jake had heard about the trip to hawaii, he originally planned to confess when you guys went to the party, it's not like the party had already happened, but it was already tomorrow "i already apologized, yet she still wouldn't speak"

"do you even know why she's mad?" jay asked, leaning on the bad with his arms as he watched jake pacing around his room "...no?"

"jake sim you idiot"

it was 1 am in the morning and you finally finished playing games with riki and heeseung. you were hesitating to open the door once again. afraid of letting the incident happen once more. you knock lightly, hoping that he was there and you could finally make up

but before you could open the door, jake already opened it. immediately embracing you "please talk to me" he whispers gently in your ear. you couldn't help but burst out crying, causing him to panic, he caresses your hair "let's go for a walk yeah?" he grabs your wrist, his touch so gentle as if you were fragile.

he wipes your tears as you walk along the shore "i missed you. you know?" he holds your hand as you both drag your feet along the sand. you hit him on his shoulder "ow!"

"that's what you get!" you sniffle, looking at the reflection of the moon on the sea "what did i do?" he chuckles, searching for your eyes. he tilts his head when you don't respond "hello?"

"cause! you always flirt with me, calling me your girlfriend and hugging me! i hate it! i hate it because my heart always skips a beat every time and i always expect you to ask me out soon yet you never do!" you yell, your skin was glowing under the moonlight. jake was in awe the moment he saw your glistening eyes that had tears threatening to fall.

he had the sudden urge to kiss you and tell you how he felt.

and he did. because jake was a man who never doubted his feelings when it came to you.

he pulls you by the waist, causing you to let out a yelp. his lips touches yours, and it stayed like that for a while, to make up for the moments he wasted without you this whole vacation. you wrap your hands around his neck, playing with his hair

"can i be your boyfriend?" he cheekily says, his smile making you smile as well "suck my ass. sim jaeyun. yes, i'd love for you to be my boyfriend"

"i'd gladly suck your a--"

it was the morning of the party, you were in jake's arms "finally you're awake! good morning!" he excitedly says, peppering you with kisses "the guys are in the pool so get changed" he informs you, smacking your ass as soon as you got up "getting too comfortable for our first day aren't we?" you tilt your head, giving him a smirk "can't help it" he send a wink your way.

as soon as you got out in your swimsuit, jake's mouth drops "do a little turn for me" he smirks, twirling you around as he hypes you up "holy shit! i'm so lucky aren't i" he checks you out, earning a smack from you "ow! alright but i'm not letting them check you out like that! wear my shirt"

(he didn't let you go from the jacuzzi after heeseung hyped you up lol)

you told jake to go ahead, wanting to surprise him with the dress you bought.

after arriving to the party jake almost dropped the drink he had in his hand after he saw you. he was smiling so hard when the little girl put a Lei (flower neck lace) on you. he felt so proud when the other men at the party look at you giving him a hug

"that's right, she's mine" he thought

after you walked to wards him he grabs you by the waist "you look so pretty in red" he says, hugging you tightly "is that so?" you ask, giving him a chaste kiss on the lips, making him all giddy

Episode 7 Time

Ugh I kinda hate that Aphmaus doin her little youtuber intro in front of every episode in these earlier ones bc its like. how the fuck am I supposed to work that shit into the start of literally anything else much less a more conventionally told story

Idk she walks around town n runs into Kiki and her lil hamster party

Something about Kikis design just really irks me and Im pretty sure its her oversaturated darkish pink shirt, even more so when its combined with that bright red hair and big bright red heart on her chest. When I redesign her I'll probably replace it with a more earthy pink tone

The exchange between Kiki n Aphmau can stay the way it is mostly, I'll definitely have to tweak it though and completely rework that last paragraph so it doesnt sound like an obvious explanation of a game/mod mechanic

Zenix is also nearby saying "What strange adorable creatures" which is cute, I think I'd like it a lil bit more if he was maybe also petting/holding a hamster while saying that

She has some fun w/ a hamster in the enclosure, Im kinda hesitant on giving her a pet like that ngl, but I feel like a hamster is a bit less of a 'deal' than her dog so yea, I'll see what I'll do

If she keeps the hamster, she'll drop him off at her house (or maybe in the chicken enclosure idk) and then walk around town talking to everyone, if she gives it back to Kiki she just goes to talk to everyone in town right away

While shes doing that, she runs into Paul ofc and they have the same lil exchange that they have in the OG

Once shes done w/ all of that she goes over to the beach to start building that boat where she meets Brenden, who just finished the docks and is Exhausted. He says the thing about the docks being done AGAIN while wheezing and panting a bunch, Aphmau tells him he did a good job like in the OG and Brendon just thanks her without mentioning poop, thank god

Then she also goes to talk to Garroth, their exchange is also mostly the same except Im changing the line "I'm having an item delivered here for the boat" to smth like "I/Zenix and I have had something built for the boat, we should get it tomorrow" bc I feel like they kinda mentioned that the village is cut off from all the other villages but then they didnt fully realize that that would make things like this difficult yknow?? (or me and whoever wrote this just have a different definition of "cut off" lol)

Aphmau starts trying to build the boat, maybe Brendon offers to help once hes rested properly bc he seems to know a lil more than Aphmau. At this point we should probably do another small timeskip and show the boat being built via montage equivalent or by just showing small snippets and interaction. I'd also like to get Paul and Kiki on board (ha) bc they also know about what happened and they need all the help they can get

I'd also like Garroth and Zenix to help a lil or at least offer some emotional support. Like, I dont remember Zenix at all and I do know that most of the big moments for Garroth n Aphmau come later but some small cute interactions before that could be nice

Okay nvm I watched further ahead in the episode and what she ended up building was more of a raft or smth which could probabls be built by a single person in like 2 days if they had some skill and patience lol. Im keeping those previous points though bc I like the idea of this being a bit of a bonding moment despite it all (and I'd kinda like Aphmau to be a pretty skilled builder in my version idk why)

EDIT: NVM SHIT I MISSED SMTH; so Zenix sneaks onto the boat and looks into the chest/maybe puts something in it??? Dont remember what it is or what it leads up to so Im keeping for now
