oh that absolutely tracks bc for all that Lando can be super extroverted I'm gonna guess he has some neurodivergence that makes him also get super shy sometimes. it's why I write these huge ass essays about how dudes like Carlos and Daniel are the perfect people for him to sort of sink behind when he gets those fits of shyness bc they're both natural extroverts with big personalities.

EDIT: I always think of this clip from Vegas re Lando's shyness bc he's chewing his lip and looking super apprehensive - and when Oscar comes up behind him Lando doesn't move away and idk. the way Oscar had fallen behind so he takes the steps two at a time feels like "hey buddy I'm here for you" bc by now he'll know when these things get Lando jittery.

but absolutely when he feels in his natural element he becomes a little motormouth with zero filter and a burning need to push his friends' buttons - that's our little gremlin :)) it's how I was like ahhhh he really does feel comfortable with Oscar bc he is constantly trying to get a rise out of him <3

I also love how he's one of these teeny tiny ppl who are seemingly bottomless pits for food - it's got to all burn itself off from nervous energy bc where else can it go ???
