I've been crying the whole DAY. Look back is literally an ode to someone who loves to create, who works their ass off to improve at it and sometimes it just doesn't matter because they are still going to be people that will be better than you and then you think you don't love that much anyway, so why care to keep doing it at the end? You enjoy it better as an spectator, without all the trouble that comes with doing it yourself

Until you remember WHY you started loving in the first place, why despite the fact it takes time, it's stressful, makes you angry, makes you sad or even if people tells you that you should be doing something else... at the end, still makes you happy, still makes you find people who love the same thing as you and you made them happy too, still makes you feel that you can do something that comes from you and no one else can because it's You.

And if you worked so hard for it once, it was for a reason, and sometimes you just forget what it was, but doesn't mean it isn't there anymore. Because the past you, the now you and the future you, come from the same place and it deserves to be happy, and that's unique and it is something worth working for

Here I am. I hope I’ll not write an essay but let’s see. Bare with me because I didn’t had a rewatch and don’t hang me because you don’t agree with what I’m about to say. As I’ve been watching the episode it made it clear that jun has feelings for po. I’ve realized it much earlier but this episode was the cherry on top in a positive way. There was a reason why thame wanted to pursue jun first to bring him back to the group because he knows him the best and vice versa. They might not know each other since childhood but were the first ones to enter the company and be a trainee. They are besties. And the way jun was first avoiding thame because he knew exactly he would hear the words which would make him step back to pursue po… jun knows how po feels about thame and i wanna think he also knew how thame feels about po but didn’t wanna hear the exact words because as soon as he heard those words he knew there is no chance for him. And the way they talked about this matter like top tier! I always say that thame is not a green flag but the whole green forest for me and the same goes for friendships. Thame was jealous but he didn’t forbid/told off (however you wanna call it) jun to pursue po because they saw po as a person and not as an object to own. People don’t own people and both of them knew. They let po decide (even if we knew who po would choose). They said our friendship is more important than to fight, our bond is stronger no matter how the outcome will be. Because again both knew if they would enter a different road, they would lose each other, lose the friendship they have, both realized that and that’s why I love this friendship and the healthy conversation so much. Jun sacrificed his feelings for po in order not to lose thame. As the saying goes ‘you can find love every time but to find true friends is rare’. 😭

Seals and Sharks(which Erik’s siren is based off of if I recall) are not exactly friends so I imagine they would have a very tense meeting! Plus Selkie Erik has sweet little Charles to protect.

Meanwhile human Charles is probably on a dock or boat near by like “Erik has been under for a while” and Raven is like “he’s a fish??? He breathes water?? He can stay under forever???” But Charles just knows something is going down.

there are stories told of mythical creatures, ones who dance freely upon the grass and sparkle under the moon. they tread lightly through the earth, leaving flowers and glimmering mystery in their wake. but be careful, dear one, lest you venture into a faerie circle, guided by the sound of golden harps, for you may never return.

there are rules fae must abide by: be truthful, yet cunning; be gracious, yet never boastful; be beautiful, but not opulent. they are quick with their thoughts and honest with their words - it is a crime to lie to a fae, after all. however, do not take their veracity for loyalty - a fae can and will manipulate language to their advantage, while ensuring they never break the vow of an oath.

ajax and i fit these ideals well - we are both driven by honor and keeping our promises. there’s a whimsy to it, of course, and a mischief lining the glamour. there’s no need for gaudy gems or shows of riches; rather, it comes in the wealth of our power, our control.

within our outfits, i wanted to show this with greens and more muted, natural tones. of course fae would use metals and golds to highlight status, but only when interfacing with humans or because they find themselves enthralled by the way they mirror the sun. it’s not lavish or particularly ‘refined,’ but very purposeful. we belong to the earth that bore us, its plants and moss and forests, one that we play with and ones that we revere.

it’s not a crime to admire fae, but be careful, dear one, unless you desire to follow this path. it’s nice here, of course - won’t you join us for a dance?
