#A Thousand Sons

2/3s of the way through A Thousand Sons, and so I've just read the first account of the Council of Nikaea. And obviously I knew what the edict was gonna be, but I've never read into how the council itself went before. I assume we'll get a different perspective at some point, but in this book, it really feels like this "Fair meeting with a goal of unity" went like--

Didn't want to censure psykers:

Thousand Sons

Blood Angels

Emperor's Children

White Scars

Dark Angels

Night Lords

Ultramarines

Salamanders

7 unidentified librarians (may just be from the above chapters)

Basically the entire audience of the auditorium

Did want to censure psykers:

Space Wolves

Death Guard

So naturally the edict was to censure psykers.

After reading "A Thousand Sons" I have concluded: Magnus did a lot of things wrong, but most of those were done with good intentions and it's really tragic actually

Once in a while something makes me page through A Thousand Sons and this time I randomly stumbled across a line mentioning that Russ' hair was the color of "molten copper"-- and you see, I had a thing with a Discord moot who for some reason thought that Leman Russ was canonically a redhead even though most of his portrayals put his hair color down as blonde (and not even reddish-blonde, but the generic "light yellow" shade of blonde). We eventually came to a conclusion that it's most likely due to me occasionally talking/posting a lot about my Space Wolf OC, Freyr (who is consistently a freckled redhead), but now I'm really second-guessing it all. Was I wrong? Did McNeill do a weird thing to a character's design again, just like with Magnus' RGB Backlit Gamer Eye or Sanguinius' Black Curls of Despair? Is A Thousand Sons inflicting some sort of Mandela Effect on us?
