I hope (but doubt) the voice actors get the royalties they deserve, especially considering the X-men animated series cast were intentionally kept in the dark about the popularity of the show until just recently (around pandemic time, or a few years leading up to then, when they were doing more convention appearances) so the studio didn’t have to pay them more
#hearing rogue and wolverine in the announcement vid reminded me of this#its so cool they became such a big part of that world and synonymous with those characters#just highlighting how messed up it is they had piles of fan mail hidden from them and missed out on years of adoration and payment#X-men#x men the animated series#x men 97#marvel#marvel vs capcom#marvel Capcom collection

literally 1 review on etsy lowering my entire average from 5 stars to 4.9 and it like. shouldnt be there imo so im mad abt it
#97#like i cant do shit about it but.#someone left me a 1 star review bc their envelope got lost in the mail instead of contacting me#when i have a policy that i refund or replace lost orders#and then refused to have it refunded or replaced when i reached out??#so why are you giving me 1 star for someting out of my control that you dont even want me to fix#its soooo petty of me to fixate on but its. ONE review.#out ot 600+ which are nearly all 5 star 😭#and that singular 1 bad review changed my entire score. i had 5 stars up until getting it#(etsy has this 'star seller thing' where if you reply fast to messages send orders on time and get good reviews u get a badge)#(and like i have the badge dgmw but.)#(i have 100% fast replies 100% on-time shipping and im literally just 0.1 points from also having a perfect review score)#(and its this ONE SINGLE ONLY unwarranted bad review keeping me from it)#(what can i say im a completionist i wanna get perfect scores :( )#(++ idk how many more 5 star reviews im gonna need for it to balance my score back to perfect?)#(i think i may need to get several hundred perfect reviews to balance out one bad review)#i also get some 4 star reviews sometimes and im kinda sad that theres never a comment so idk what was wrong w it?#like if im perfectly satisfied w an order id leave 5 stars so i have to assume theres smthing missing but they never say#but yknow. 4 stars is still good

For all the concern in recent years that U.S. democracy is on the brink, in danger or under threat, a report out Tuesday offers a glimmer of good news for American voters worried that casting a ballot will be difficult in 2024.
Put simply, the new data shows that voting in America has gotten easier over the past two decades. More voters have the ability to cast a ballot before Election Day, with the majority of U.S. states now offering some form of early in-person voting and mail voting to all voters.
"Although we often talk in a partisan context about voter fraud and voter suppression and whether voters have access to the ballot, the reality is, over the past 25 years, we've greatly increased the convenience of voting for almost all Americans," said David Becker, the founder and executive director of the Center for Election Innovation & Research (CEIR), which authored the new report...
The data shows that, despite real efforts by some Republican-led legislatures to restrict access at the margins, the trend in the U.S. since 2000 has been toward making it easier to vote: Nearly 97% of voting-age American citizens now live in states that offer the option to vote before Election Day.
"The lies about early voting, the lies about voting machines and efforts in some state legislatures to roll back some of the election integrity and convenience measures that have evolved over the last several decades, those efforts almost all failed," Becker said. "In almost every single state, voters can choose to vote when they want to."
Forty-six states and Washington, D.C., offer some form of early in-person voting, the report tallied, and 37 of those jurisdictions also offer mail voting to all voters without requiring an excuse...
In 2000
In 2024
Infographic via NPR. If you go to the article, you can watch an animation of this map that shows voting availability in every election since 2000.
There are some political trends that show up in the data. Of the 14 states that don't offer mail voting to all voters, for instance, 12 have Republican-led legislatures.
-via NPR, March 19, 2024. Article continues below.
But maybe the more striking trends are geographic. Every single state in the western U.S. has offered some form of early and mail voting to all voters since 2004, according to the data. And those states span the political spectrum, from conservative Idaho to liberal California.
"It's really hard to talk about partisanship around this issue because historically there just hasn't been much," Mann said. "We've seen voting by mail and early in-person voting supported by Republican legislatures, Democratic legislatures, Republican governors, Democratic governors. We see voters in both parties use both methods." ...
In 2020, New York, Connecticut and Massachusetts all made changes to make voting more easily accessible, which have since partially or fully become permanent. Delaware is currently embroiled in a legal fight over whether it can implement early and mail voting changes this election cycle as well.
The South, with its history of slavery and Jim Crow laws, has long lagged behind when it comes to voting access. The CEIR data shows that, although some states have slowly started expanding options for voters, generally it is still the most difficult region for voters to cast a ballot.
As options nationwide have become more widely available, voters have also responded by taking advantage.
In the 2000 election, 86% of voters voted at a polling place on Election Day, according to U.S. Census Bureau data.
In 2020, during the pandemic, that number dropped to less than 31% of voters. It went back up in 2022, to roughly half of the electorate, but was still in line with the two-decade trend toward more ballots being cast early.
...in reality, Becker says, more voting options actually make elections more secure and less susceptible to malicious activity or even human error.
"If there were a problem, if there were a cyber event, if there were a malfunction, if there were bad weather, if there were traffic, if there were was a power outage, you could think of all kinds of circumstances. ... The more you spread voting out over a series of days and over multiple modes, the less likely it's going to impact voters," he said...

To the Sockpuppets in my Asks
"Jimin is so private! What does he have to hide?"
*Flashbacks to Jimin's mail being "omitted" four times and his national ID and address being leaked online, which the press sat on until his OST With You dropped, or, years prior, when folks accused him of whoring and doing coke because he... [checks notes] played a forehead-flicking game at a pub restaurant in Paris*
"Jimin keeps saying he's all alone!"
*Jimin is seen at work, at the gym, taking trips for work and vacation, posting photos on Insta, and appearing on shows and in dance challenges*
"Jimin never goes out anywhere!"
*Yet another idol scandal is in the news, this time involving illegal drugs, yet somehow, Jimin's photo at the official Nike dinner with Joon gets circulated as him "out clubbing"*
"Jimin and Jungkook never show that they hang out! They are never together any more!"
*South Korea enacts Article 92-6*
Look, conspiracy theories are bullshit, but ALSO:
Jimin and Jungkook are both cooking big, big feasts for us before service and they are focused on that right now. There's still plenty of evidence they see each other and are on great terms, if you actually listen to them, so stop flooding my ask box under sockpuppet accounts, crowing that Jimin is all alone and Jungkook doesn't care about him.
Look, puppykitties...
I cannot tell you Jikook are dating. I do not live in their cupboards and watch them 24/7.
Yes, JK has been hanging out with 97 line friends these days and yes, Jimin and Yoongi (and Hobi) have all gotten super duper close (or are at least more comfy talking openly about how close they've always been) in solo era. And yes:
Jikook don't talk about Jikook these days.
But what ISN'T being said sounds so loud that half this fandom froths at the mouth every other day.
Jimin has two gaming chairs in his apartment--including one chair that really looks similar to the one Jungkook had.
Jimin traveled half-way around the world to be with Jungkook during his debut and we still have no idea what they were doing at the restaurant or on the boat. Let's wait patiently.
There's been some highly suspect photos in the past of a guy in a white bucket hat with JK via CCTV at a quick mart (illegal, won't be posting) or of suspiciously similar-looking hands during game nights on JK's brother's Insta (family stuff, won't be posting). There's also video of someone who looks eerily similar to Jimin in expensive designer clothing at the arrivals terminal of the airport when JK got back from the World Cup--and later, just beyond the airport, footage of JK's car pulling away from another company car with fans screaming "Jimin!" to the riders inside (unofficial content, won't be posting).
Jungkook knows every single lyric in Jimin's songs, and his choreo, AND what he says, word for word, on his interviews.
Jimin took up boxing and has showed us he has a punching bag in house.
Jungkook muttered that Jimin moved his lamp.
Jimin went to the airport sporting what looked like a big dog scratch.
Vminkook went to a cafe in Jeju. K-Army said they spotted Jikook there well before Tae posted about it.
Jimin and Jungkook both watched the same random anime series recently.
Jimin ran up to Jungkook to cutely say "periri" so often that Jungkook was afraid he'd accidentally say it on stage.
JK quietly stopped by Jimin's docu-live, and Jimin lit up like a Christmas tree and then grabbed his moob.
AGAIN: I. CANNOT. TELL. YOU. THEY. ARE. DATING.
But don't come here with that "Jimin is always alone" and "JK only cares about his career, not Jimin" nonsense.
Please make better use of your time by watching JUNGKOOK'S GOLDEN PREVIEW and JIMIN'S SPECIAL TALK LIVE and then go watch YOONGI'S SUCHWITA WITH 2MIN for good measure!
And next time you come to my blog, if you can't say something nice...
Okay?
Okay.
*hugs* Love, Roo

Solidarity with UPS workers!
The contract deadline is August 1st and a strike has been authorized by 97% of union members. This means if the union cannot get an adequate contract with UPS by then, for things like air conditioning in all trucks, and fair wages for part time employees, they will strike. Part time employees make up about 60% of their workforce and preform backbreaking physical labor for a starting salary of $16 an hour. Starting pay in 1983 when adjusted for inflation was $25 an hour.
UPS handles about 28% of Americas shipping. UPS is already starting to train scabs. Package delivery will shut down across the nation and everyone will feel it. Are you and your community ready to stand in solidarity with them?
Things by mail will come slow if at all, who will this affect the most?
- Small businesses
- People who are housebound
- People who rely on specialty medication deliveries
If you rely on delivered medication, call your provider and check who does the deliveries; if it is UPS check how they are going to handle a possible strike. Even if your medication comes via other contracted delivery companies you need to be prepared for things to come slowly, if UPS is on strike that will put extra pressure on FedEx and USPS. Order as early as you can.
This strike will come on the heels of the joint WGA and SAG-AFTRA strikes. Stand with the unions and put pressure on the companies to make sure writers, actors, and soon UPS workers are fairly compensated and protected on the job. Listen to the unions, don’t boycott unless they call for one. The UPS pilots union has stated that they will stand in solidarity with the UPS Teamsters.
UPS Teamsters United has strike resources
The International Brotherhood of Teamsters Newsroom
The Teamsters Twitter updates regularly about the state of negotiations for UPS workers as well as other negotiating and striking workers.
Donate to strike funds if you can and don’t fucking scab.

few things of note now that i finally found the whole pictures of 'steve's' office (from here for others like me who were unsure) i noticed that;
a: they took away his rabbit mail holder in the actual film
but they ALSO removed that second 'award' from the corner of his shelf to put that box there. the box was originally on his actual bookcase next to the other locked box (that looks slightly similar to the fn/af4 box, i'd say a little more so than the one they moved, but whatever. also if im reading it correctly, the sticket on the box says 'ports and film.' but it may also say 'file'. the first may also say 'porth' or 'porte', i'm dyslexic so its hard to tell, but 'ports and film' make the most sense to me. )
my assumption for the rabbit mail holder was it was too on the nose, maybe, and the rabbits foot is smaller and less likely to be noticeable so its smaller easter eggs. The lamp behind him and the chairs are also spring bonnie colored if you notice, which gives more subtle hints as to who he is (honestly the fans knew, a: s/cott leaked it to d/awko immediately after m/atthew signed the contract, and b: m/atthew kind of leaked it himself too lol)
they also changed positions of a few things here and there, noticeable here when in the movie the camera focuses on mike
they sort of swapped the position of the coffee table and moved the stuff behind the chairs to the side instead.
those big file cabinets also seem to have been moved completely. which as a nerd im super interested in. i believe they put the one award they moved the box for on the wall in the screencap above.
also, another little thing i noticed; the inside of his cup kind of looks like freddy's mouth
looks a little bit like a mouth, this is the best i could find in the movie itself but one of the games had an animatronics mouth look like that (I think this is more coincidence but its a cool coincidence)
also!!! the award they moved from the shelf to put the box there instead? we see it again later, when mike calls him to ask if the jobs still open.
its on his desk, no longer framed, unfortunately i cant read what it says though.
and heres some close ups (as good as i could) of 'steve's' office. mostly things with writing on them. i sharpened them as well as i could.
the now infamous participation award is front and center of course, but i do thing the 'certificate of regional social worker of the year' award should also be noticed, bc who let him--
the painting on the side of him, its like a road with a tree
labels for probably files from 97 and 98.
i'm pretty sure the 099111 were numbers found on scotts website or a 'glitch' in one of the games at one point iirc. i remember the numbers from something.
i believe the one box says like, 145-176 or something. earlier i thought it said 1995-1996 but sharpening it i think it looks more three digit number to me.
cant' really read any of it ngl
honestly i think sharpnening it might have made it even harder to read but i couldnt make it out either way.
#william afton#fnaf movie spoilers#fnaf movie#fnaf spoilers#steve raglan#i was gonna post this just on my rp blog for him but then was like ehhhh#anyways if anyone CAN read better than i can or knows how to unblur it better lmk#even removing motion blur didnt help me but maybe idk how to do it 'right'#anyways just some fun lil references/characterization things#i personlly would have kept the rabbit mailer i think its funnier that way but yknow

So my dad is somewhat of a computer wiz and I asked him about some of the tech stuff in the magnus protocol
my dads says..
"I was involved in a rollout of about 1,000 NT4 workstations over four campuses back in the day (mid to late 90s)
Our machines started at Pentium 120 with 32Meg of RAM and 1.2G hard drive in a mini tower case. Apart from the drive bays in the case front for 3 1/2 floppy disk drives and CD ROM drives they don't look all that different to a small gaming pc today.
The mice still have balls though, the keyboard have big 5 pin DIN plugs but otherwise are just as dishwasher safe as modern ones.
If connected to a network you are very likely to find its Novel Netware 4.1. The networking will look like a thin black cable strung from machine to machine with a little silver T shaped connector on the back of each one, apart from the first and the last they have 'terminators'.
You probably won't be connected to the internet yet, there is probably no TCP/IP on your LAN at all, only Novel IPX. The ZenWorks NT4 workstation management tools from Novel are sublime, it take Microsoft quite a while to copy them.
If you are in our publishing class we will be teaching you Photoshop, Illustrator and Quark Express. If you are in our business course we will be teaching you Office 97 with that bloody paperclip. We will also be teaching you Groupwise, Microsoft haven't copied that off Novel yet so there isn't any Exchange.
If you have email its probably Pegasus, maybe early Eudora. Its unlikely you can email out of the organisation you are in. Internet connected mail is still to come, mind you so is any interoperability between mail systems. You expect attachments to work?
We still taught some things on Windows 3.1 so our machines all boot from the Lan initially to fetch the boot menu. You can choose Windows 3.1, NT4, in some classrooms Win98, or you can re-image you machine if its broken. Thats all done in assembler in the boot sector on the network boot disk image, theres no PXE yet.
Internet arrives one day in the form of a product called "Instant internet", it will share its single built in 36Kb dial up modem with a whole classroom of only IPX connected NT4 workstations if you install the Winsock32.dll file that it comes with.
You are probably looking for Mosaic or early Netscape if you want a web browser, Altavista is likely your search engine.
Better things are coming though soon we have a whole 128K ISDN service to share with about 10 classrooms, we have TCP/IP on the LAN now. Your classroom is still going to have to book when it wants internet access though, as that's still woefully inadequate.
I think the Macs are System 8 or 9 they have not made the jump to the unix kernel of OS X yet, they keep my colleague busy, she seems to be reinstalling the System folders on them on a daily basis.
One day you find I have changed the default home page for all the machines to Google Beta.
My job is done, the world as we know it has been ushered in."
Dad worked In TAFE (only Australians will get that lol) for a few years as well as other tertiary education providers.
This is probably not going to be very relevant for anyone but I figured having some sort of info available could be helpful for other people's writing, fanfic or whatever.
Feel free to send asks for any clarification or further info
