Yeah...I don't really buy that the guy who had a panic attack over his last girlfriend being mistaken for his wife and was more than ready to dump his current one for being a former nun is even going to contemplate proposing to her.

Knowing him, he would be so deep in his eventual gay crisis that he accidentally sends false hints that made Marisol think that he was gonna propose to her. And then, when she's expecting him to get on one knee, he's telling her to go the fuck home and stay there. (because dumping is still hard for him)

“I–These past few days have been so shitty. Fuck you for that, y’know. Yeah, fuck you. I don’t care if it’s irrational to be angry with you right now. I know it’s not your fault. I know you don’t want to be–but you just–I can’t keep you safe no matter what I do.” The words taste like ash on his tongue, a dream that's been burned beyond repair, charred and cracked and untouchable.

Guilt and shame and despair fall on him heavier and thicker than rain, rippling with the heat of anger that really isn’t anger, this aching incineration far too similar to what consumed him after Shannon’s death.

He can’t do it again. Please don’t make him do it again.

“I’m sorry,” he whispers. He sounds small and helpless. He feels small and helpless. Because he can’t keep Buck safe, just like he couldn’t keep Shannon or Chris safe, just like he can’t keep himself safe. Danger clings to his life with a vivacious jealousy, fingers hooked into his skin, tongue lapping over his wounds, always there is some form, lingering like a shadow.

Eddie bangs his head against the wall. He needs to focus. He needs to not fall into the trap of his thoughts. He needs to give Buck–he needs to give Buck something, a truth or a piece of himself tucked away in Buck’s phone as motivation, as a gift, as a reason.

“Okay, I–” he blows out a breath and pinches the bridge of his nose between his fingers, eyes shutting tight again. Sparks flash over his vision, bright and devouring like a flashover, electric and paralyzing like lightning. “Everything is awful, Buck, and everything hurts. You’re laid out in a hospital bed, so fucking still and empty, and all I can think about is what it was like to lose my wife and how I can’t go through that again."

Here’s a visual based on a dream I had.

Buck was crushed by large chunks of concrete and splintered wood after a building collapsed-he had pushed Eddie out of the way after he felt the ground moving. Eddie being his partner was the only one with him and while he realized what had happened he realized there was also no saving his best friend. His family. His soul. Eddie radioed a mayday and the rest of the team worked as hard as they could from the outside to get them out. Buck was fading quickly. He was breathing as hard as he could, trying to retain any air he could. His chest was puffing in and out. It had progressed from quick rapid breaths to shallow empty ones in a matter of seconds. He was coughing up blood. He was trying his hardest. Fighting. He always fought. He wouldn’t give up. He never gave up. Eddie held him, looking into his eyes telling him to hold on. It got quiet. “I never realized how beautiful your eyes are.” “What?” Eddie mumbled. “That’s why I couldn’t escape loving you. It reflects in your eyes.” “What?” Eddie wasn’t processing what Buck was telling him. “I’ll always love you. I always have. You’ll hold on for me okay?” “What are you saying?” Eddie immediately chimed. “Hold on. Breathe. Breathe-hold on, please, please,” “you’ll hold on for the both of us.” “No, no! Don’t say that! You hold on! You have to-I need you! Please? please!” Buck had already let out his final breath. Eddie sobbed. “I can’t do this alone?!” The team rushed in, Eddie holding Buck in his arms. He was screaming, he couldn’t breathe! Chimney thought about who he would have to tell. Bobby felt the weight of another lost family member. Hen thought of the belly laughs she had just shared with her brother not half an hour ago. Eddie was breathing hard. or he wasn’t at all. He didn’t know anymore. “He told me…” Eddie choked, “oh my god he told me and I didn’t say anything back!” The team looked at him confused with equal concern. I didn’t get to love him long enough.” He kept repeating it, “I didn’t get to love him long enough. I didn’t get to love him long enough”. He was still holding Buck. The team wrapped him in a hug. “I didn’t get to love him long enough!” They understood. They wouldn’t let him feel alone. But in that moment-Eddie had been crushed as well. He never got to let his guard down. He never let himself move Evan Buckley out loud until now. Now was too late. He didn’t get to love him long enough to love him out loud. He never would.

mpreg!Buck 5b au wip . It`s 1st draft cause I only started it

“Hello again, Mr. Buckley. Your results are back and I can confirm that you are pregnant,” doctor who's name Buck doesn't really remember smiling a little at him, but Buck can't smile back. Too many emotions and feelings attack him right now. “Everything looks good, but you need to make an appointment with an obstetrician now. Do you have questions?”

How am I going to tell Eddie? How will Eddie react? Does Eddie want more kids? Will Eddie stay in the baby's life? Will Eddie be angry about Buck because he forgot that he is not on birth control for the last six months?

Too many questions, but no one knows answers.

“I'm a firefighter. Can you please tell me how bad it is for me to continue working at least till twelve weeks? It's only four more. And why am I not showing?”

...

Buck doesn't know what to do. He knows he needs to talk to Eddie. But he is so scared. Eddie only started getting better after his breakdown. And they only stopped acting too strange and awkward after that night which Buck would always cherish. But Eddie regrets it. 

And Buck doesn't know how to talk about it. He can't just say, “hey, Eddie. The weather is cool today. Also remember how you fucked me two months ago? Guess what? You knocked me up.”
