BP Launcher

BP Launcher – it is shell for launching program.  And comfortable navigation through files. It is program, written after inspiration from early versions of Norton Commander, Volkov Commander, Dos Navigator and such shells of MS DOS for old computers in a spirit of 386 SX, 486 DX2. Shell is reminds some shells for MS DOS. But this one is created for launching programs from pack Basic pascal. So, this means that its functions are limited.

Program is written for point of interest. In style of Norton Commander or Volkov Commander. Maybe in style of something even more earlier. Interface is in style that things, but very simple. By idea it is file navigation. And run a text file or execution file.

Program is made for more interesting theme. For more interest. For nostalgia moment. For, let’s say it, dive into retro theme.

As I can say, modern gamers begin to forget computers from beginning of 90s. Such systems as 386SX, 386SX2,486DX2,486DX4. Such blue screen was very popular and easy to recognize in those years.

Maybe, someone remember a nice little days together with such blue screen, Norton Commander or Volkov Commander. It was age of MS DOS. Systems level of 486Dx2, 386SX2. And lots of this style. It were another systems too. It were another programs too. For example, Dos Navigator. And not all the time, it was such a blue screen. Programs were different programs.

But it is such a nostalgia, you know. So much more interesting. So, we have today lots of shells, launchers. For game shells. Such as Retro Arch, for example. Or even whole service and client to them. Such as GOG application or Steam application.

So, something like this, I write something like this. With memories about Norton Commander. And retro. Such. It is made with aim to launch games, written for Basic and Pascal in terms of Basic Pascal.  Another thing this application cannot do, and not designed for anything else.

More like such visualization more, I can say. Basic  - it is retro. Pascal – it is retro. And such a retro shell. It is also looks like a full retro.

To use or not – it is up to you, it is thing of interest. Of course, all games you can launch just as exe files, and not to use this shell.

Shell gives the ability to move along the catalogs and launch exe files. And also, to read text files. And it is so a cool way to launch all these retro development Basic Pascal.

Teru is like at this point one of my fav character ever but figuring out this boy's fashion style it's SOOO HARD !! HE doesn't have a specific fashion aestetic. Normally I can pin in one character like max 5 aesthetics and styles they would like but HIM !!!! HIM !!?!! ok so just watched the amazing digital circus pilot and i have to point out a couple similarities i have found between it and bonelab/boneworks.

so in both of them the main character is someone that in some way put a headset on and both canonically take place in a digital world.

the both feature a void, which looks, voidish

boneworks has some focus on that kind of colorful playful color aestetic as well. featuring that kind of, of course, digital mood.

the both feature quirky headsets with 90s computers

with bonelab also having a more colorful and saturated feel... i don't know how to describe it to be honest.

Currently very taken with a concept for a mid-90s batman set in a Post-Soviet state that I made up like 3 hours ago.

Yes, it's the gritty sort of batman fighting systematic corruption and a broken society, but still a guy who is doing what he can to try and make the world better. Despite some aestetics that people might see as Punisher esq, this would still be a batman who refuses to kill and is deeply concerned with the people harmed by the people he takes on.
