the cool breeze in london sent shivers down your spine, thankful to have remembered to pack a sweater for your trip to visit max and pietra. lando's hand was intertwined with yours as the four of you walked the sidewalks of the city, laughing and planning on how to spend your day.

you were thrown off when your boyfriends hand was no longer linked together with yours, eyebrows furrowing as you watched him switch sides. his figure now walking beside you on the left compared to the right. his fingers intertwining back with yours like nothing happened.

he smiled down at your slightly confused expression, but he didn't give you the answer you were looking for. instead, he asked you a simple question, "hungry?"

and you nodded, smiling up at him, "starving,"

"good, there's a place up here at the corner i think you might like."

the pair behind you smiled at the two of you, pietra leaning closer to quietly talk to max as they studied your walking frames. how his hand gently held yours. watching as the boy they had known for ages slowly turned into putty in your hands.

"he just switched sides," pietra smiled, "oh he's in love."

max smiled as he watched his best friend look at you like you hung the stars in the sky, "he is."
