List of Your Ten Childhood Ships

Thanks @lizzybeth1986 for tagging me. So I’m counting childhood as “before high school” so up until spring of 1997. I am an 80s baby, who was a 90s child (and a 90s/00s teenager, but that is a list for another time).

1. Zack and Kelly, Saved by the Bell

Saved by the Bell was one of my favourite shows in my tweens and I had a big crush on Zack Morris (yeah, he was blonde but the cocky, scheming type has always had appeal). I loved Zack and Kelly together and consistently rooted for them.

2. Jake and Tiffany, California Dreams

I watched a lot of Teen NBC when I was young 😂 and of course I liked the leather-jacket, motor-cycle wearing musician and his cute blonde surfer girlfriend. I feel like Jake Summers had a major impact on my taste for the rest of my life.

3. Lir and Amalthea, The Last Unicorn

This movie broke my heart at the age of 4. I always joke that this is what made me a villain lover, because I hated how Lir being a hero meant he had to give up Amalthea and let her save the unicorns 😂.

4. Sony and Brenda, General Hospital

I grew up watching soap operas, mainly General Hospital because it is the one my grandmother and then my mom watched. While Sonny and Brenda definitely influenced my teen ships years, they also influenced the pre-teen years and ai couldn’t resist this combo. “Why settle for a spark when you can set the world on fire?”

5. Anne and Gilbert, Anne of Green Gables

I am a Canadian girl, I grew up on the Anne books and I fell in love early with the spirited Anne Shirley and the incredibly patient (but not pushy) Gilbert Blythe. I love their love story.

6. Elizabeth Wakefield and Todd Wilkins, Sweet Falley High

This one did not hold up 😂 and the series itself did a good job of murdering this ship, but when I was a kid I loved them together and the one where he comes back after moving was my favorite. I remember I even specially ordered it because our local book story didn’t have it and neither did the library.

7. Cher and Josh, Clueless

I love Clueless, it is one of my all-time favorite movies and definitely influenced pre-teen Misha. Is the step-sibling romance a little weird? Yep. But at the time, all I cared about was the chemistry and that Paul Rudd was cute.

8. Westley and Buttercup, The Princess Bride

Again, I was an 80s child. I grew up on this movie. This is what true love was. And ok, the fact that the far:boy went off and became a bad-ass pirate was pretty cool.

9. Xena and Ares, Xena Warrior Princess

This is one that also falls into “high school” ships, but I started watching the show in elementary school, so it counts. I fell in love with Ares the first time he appeared, when he was very obviously the bad guy.

10. Sabrina and Harvey, Sabrina the Teenage Witch

I just thought these two were so sweet together (see I have layers, I like sweet ships too) and I liked that the obstacle in their relationship was never their feelings, it was everything else and Harvey was just such a perfect first boyfriend.

hi sci !!!!!! i’m an absolute music nerd and i’ve got almost all of the playlists you’ve made saved since i love finding new shit to listen to (thanks for getting me into britney, spiraling me into my scissor sisters obsession and vibing with the nolans) BUT YEAH SO i was listening to wade’s playlist and i just wanted to ask how you compile these playlists ? like, how do you pick the songs ? are they songs from the characters povs or just songs they would vibe to- or ALL maybe idk lol i just adore these a lot and i just wanted to ask about them :)

AHH!! it means the world to me, anon! i put so much time into those playlists, they're a whole event for me. wade's playlist is a specific joy for me. devoted a lot of time to get it just right, down to the runtime.

when i assemble a playlist it usually strictly adheres to a certain austhetic that i associate with the character! with wade, i associate him with 80s pop or anything that fits that energy! so madonna, kylie, the nolans (my beloveds), cher, dolly, whitney - all these fantastic divas – and of course, wham!

but the lyrics are just as important as the austhetic - no song on the playlist winds up there accidentally! lyrics, genre and artist are all so very important and so very intentional. for the wade and peter playlists respectively, i picked songs that i thought wade and peter would listen to, from a genre they'd listen to, from artists that they'd listen to, with lyrics that would resonate with them.

wade's songs are usually about craving attention - wanting his love reciprocated - not caring about what people think about him - a lot of past-relationship angst (nate and shiklah, looking at you) - gender feelings - self-love and self-improvement - oh, and money. a lot of them are about money, too.

peter's songs are generally about how the world hates him and he hates the world and how he's generally a mess that doesn't know what the hell he's doing and he's so confused but he'll just get by and kick some ass. (this playlist has been helping me through a lot, lately)

i labour over every song that winds up on these playlists and i'm so, so happy you're enjoying them!! just know every song is so, so very lovingly picked for all of it's elements, and i know all of these lyrics off by heart (it's my mutant ability)

My ranking of Tension by Kylie Minogue

Padam Padam - Padam ? Padam . What else can I say ? Well quite alot actually . What better song to orchestrate Kylie's return to the UK Singles Top Ten , which she hadn't seen since featuring on the Taio Cruz song Higher , which , fun fact , was actually an Aphrodite reject . Padam Padam is my most streamed song on Spotify of all time , and I don't see any other song taking that spot from it any time soon(save for maybe Cherry Bomb). Padam Padam is Kylie at peak club vibes , and is also , in my humble opinion , Kylie's best lead single since Slow back in 2003 . There's a reason its gonna be one of Kylie's most remembered songs . Its iconic , its eternally fresh , and it makes you wanna move onto the club floor and find someone to take home , and have them take off all your clothes . I sincerely hope Kylie works with Ina Wroldsen and LOSTBOY in the future , because God knows they know how to make a song .

Heavenly Body - I struggled with whether to put this at number one or two , but it just couldn't quite beat out Padam Padam . Regardless of that , Heavenly Body is my second fave track of the album for a reason . Its an experience all in itself . Its so 4am , lying in bed after listening to music and reading all night vibes to me . Its so calming , and it's also Kylie at peak club . The production and bass in the song are ever-present , but not in anyway overwhelming . It kinda gives the trance of the 90s , which I love aswell . It also reminds me of Love Affair , which is also one of my favourite Kylie album cuts of all time .

Somebody To Love - A song people seem to be relatively ignoring, and I can't figure out why . Its the album closer on the deluxe edition , and for good reason . It really does give the album a feeling of closure . It feels like a song who's energy is best captured by Kylie in her mid 50s - its a more mature , calm take on love , and I find it so refreshing . I love how Kylie can be like this but also remain sexy at the same time .

You Still Get Me High - To put it simply , this is Kylie slaying at the 80s synthpop trend of the 2020s . The song is super emotional when you listen to it and pay attention to the lyrics , and the demo of it , Moonlight(Can't Say Goodbye) , is even more emotional. The high notes Kylie hits at the end are sooo good too !! I love the visualiser aswell ! It's grown on me an awful lot since Tension released , and I'm not surprised . Its pop perfection , and I will stand by that .

Just Imagine - I CANNOT understand why everyone's sleeping on this track . I cannot . The only criticism I've even seen of the song is that it doesn't go anywhere , but like , so what ? I think it's supposed to have that built-up energy in it , the neverending ball of energy that it is is like the neverending hope that the song represents . Its just. So good . And I will fight anyone and everyone on that .

Tension - Tension is definitely the most experimental track on the album , and I love it . It also marks only the second time ever that a title track of a Kylie album has been made a single , after Golden in 2018(though it would've been the fourth time if Kylie had gotten her way with making Enjoy Yourself and Rhythm of Love singles back in the PWL era) . The music video is chock-full of references too , from references to Kylie herself , to other artists , like Cher and Britney, and even movie references , like Blade Runner and Paris, Texas . It also definitely has the best music video Kylie has done since like , All The Lovers or maybe even Chocolate .

Vegas High - yet another taste of Kylie and the OG clubby feel of Tension , Vegas High is what it says it is - a high . It's continuously grown on me since its release, and I can see why it was my second fave track after the tiktok leaks months earlier. It heavily reminds me of one of my fave-ever Kylie songs , In Your Eyes , and it defo has single potential too !

Things We Do For Love - There's no surprise to why this is like , the fourth most streamed song on the album . Its good . solid . pop . It's Kylie at her best , and infused with 80s synthpop glam . The build-up to the bridge is amazing , and imo should defo be a single !

Drum - Now this is what I thought Tension was originally going to be like ! Clubby bangers , back-to-back ! Of course , Kylie ultimately chose to take it in a more 80s synthpop direction , and of course did so flawlessly . Nevertheless , its fun to Just Imagine what could've been ! I remember hearing Drum months ago , when it leaked alongside Running(which NEEDS to be released , aswell as More Than A Feeling!!!!!!)and I loved it ! I like how its structure is a little different , with the chorus taking a little longer to fully come in . I remember listening to Drum and Padam Padam when I was on holiday in Greece , and I have a vivid memory of dancing with my headphones , alone at 10PM , on a balcony overlooking beautiful scenery , the darkly-tinged yet still visable bay miles below , and the gorgeous town on the beackfront , in the north of Crete . I'll forever cherish that memory because of Drum , and I'm forever grateful .

Green Light - It's a good song , what can I say ? Its calm , cool , chill , and Kylie slays vocally . I love the visualiser too , its so fun ! I don't really have much to say on the song itself , apart from the fact that its a solid track . Oh , and the sax solo in the chorus is immaculate

Story - I find this song really sweet . I can see why Kylie cried while performing it for the first time in London . It would appear to be quite personal to her , and seems to be half an admittance on Kylie's half , of her life and its ups and moreso its downs , and also a love letter to her fans a la Sincerely Yours from Golden , and All The Lovers from Aphrodite .

Hands - This was actually my favourite track when the minute-long tiktok leaks came out a few months back . Although its fallen way down my rankings since , it's really cute as a track , and truly stands out . I love Kylie rapping sooo much (like in Secret (Take You Home)!!) . I wasn't surprised to hear it was originally gonna be on The Barbie Movie soundtrack , it really would've fitted . My only real criticism of the song is that the chorus is wayyy too short , it desperately needs a good long one because with the current version of the track it kinda throws you back into the last chorus before the bridge has even really started:/

Hold On To Now - I do think this track is a little overrated . Then again , I find All The Lovers and Say Something overrated , and the track is quite similar to them , so it's definitely just me lol . It's still a solid track though , and I can see why Kylie would choose it as the third single , even though I'd personally prefer Things We Do For Love or You Still Get Me High . Also the bridge is EUPHORIC!!!!

10 Out Of 10 - I didn't really care for it upon its release way back earlier near the start of the year , but I've started listening to it alot more since the album released ! I used to find Oliver Helden's vocals in the chorus a little grating , but I can vibe with them now . Overall , its a cute little pop number , even if it sounds a little jarring coming directly after the much darker-sounding Vegas High lolz

Love Train - It was originally my least fave but it has definitely grown on me ! Its fun , different , and I love how its like kinda a throwback to Loveboat on Light Years ! Its super camp , and I am glad Kylie put it on the album , even if it seems a little out of place at times .

One More Time - it's the only track that hasn't really grown on me . I find the chorus kinda repetitive . I love Kylies vocals tho , when I'm in a good mood its a fun song to listen to !(Still wouldve scrapped it in a heartbeat if it meant getting Running or More Than A Feeling a proper release though , sorry)

So for the chick flicks (fuck I forgot to warn you for spoilers I'm so sorry):

They are your stereotypical mean girl "I only care about boys" movies, but there are reasons on why I specifically like the ones I listed.

Clueless has Cher Horowitz as the main character, and she was kind of a snob in the beginning of the movie, but I like the fact that she gets better, and she becomes more self aware of the way she treats people. Also because it was a high school movie from early on, and those rarely ever have rich girl protagonists that mean well. Cher was a darling, she was honestly a nice girl, especially as the movie progressed. I try not to think about the fact that she ended up with her step brother, because I like everything about the movie except that (okay wait, I also dont like Dionne and her boyfriend's relationship), because it was pretty good! Also its funny and I LOVED Cher and Dionne's sense of fashion. I wasn't a fan of the gay stereotype that Christian was, but it was a movie from the 80s. Didn't expect too much.

Mean Girls, was pretty toxic but the movie is very funny to me. Besides, I liked Tina Fey's character. And I LOVE Karen Smith. So yeah, I just watch it for laughs mainly.

10 things I hate about you was just there as an example tbh, it SUCKED. Its just that they are in the same category.

A Cinderella story, was based off Cinderella except if she was a more realistic girl and I liked that. Besides Jennifer Coolidge was playing the stepmom, and anything Jennifer Coolidge plays is HILARIOUS. I also liked the fact that, apart from the fact that Sam (main character- basically Cinderella) finds a cool boyfriend, she also finds solidarity with the people she was forced to work with. She was a kind person to them, and Rhonda girlbossed SO HARD. She served so much cunt, there was no one cooler than her in that entire movie.

Now saving the best for last. Legally Blonde.

I dont think I ever have, and ever will, watch a chick flick as amazing as legally blonde. Elle Woods inspires me to do everything that I do today. So basically, Elle Wood's dumb boyfriend breaks up with her when she thinks he'll propose. His reasoning? He is going to Harvard and cant be seen with a dumb blonde. So Elle Woods gets into Harvard (what like its hard) and nobody takes her seriously because she likes girly shit. She likes pink, loves fashion, and even has a fucking poodle she is always carrying around. But she doesnt back down because they dont take her seriously. She ACES law school, completes a case without revealing her client's secret, and even helps her nail tech get out of a bad relationship. Guess who plays her nail tech? JENNIFER FUCKING COOLIDGE. I love this movie so much, because in most chick flicks the bad girl is seen as a girl into feminine shit, and they make her dumb and she only ever cares about boys and is NOT a girls girl. Elle Woods is the exact opposite of that stereotype, she is SMART, she is NICE, AND SHE LIKES FEMININE SHIT. It really helped me actually be happy with myself and feel more comfy with liking feminine shit. She proved to people time and time again that she was worth it because she is a girl who likes girly stuff, and is such a role model. And this movie was made in 2001!! Most early 2000s movies were all about girls backstabbing each other, or overthrowing the evil bitchy blonde (mean girls is a perfect example of this) but this movie is different and I love it, and I will forever stan Elle Woods.

So yeah watching a movie like those with a friend seems like a very good experience- watching a genre of movies I like with a person I like.

Fashion blogger and New York Socialite Juliet Oliver meets rockstar Harry Styles. And what follows is a story that no one could have predicted.

Chapter 1 - Gold Dust Woman

Juliet Oliver stepped out of the black SUV. A man in a black suit approached her.

"Good afternoon, Ms. Oliver. You'll walk the carpet in just a minute. Stay here. I'll send you as soon as I can." He turned to another man, and Juliet took a second to look down at her gown. She was wearing a purple Giambattista Valli gown. The floor-length dress was made entirely of tulle. It was growing heavier by the minute. She smiled despite the discomfort, relishing in the fact that she was about to walk the carpet at the Met Gala.

Juliet had grown up obsessing over fashion. She would stay up way past her bedtime and look at the pictures in her mother's copies of Vogue and Elle. She would often sneak into her mother's closet and try on her various dresses from DVF or Dior. When she was in high school, she developed a bad habit of leaving school early to go shopping at Bloomingdale's with her best friends.

Juliet had been born into a prominent Upper West Side family. Her father, Richard Oliver was a hedgefund lawyer. Her mother, Marie Lawrence-Oliver had been a model in the late 70s and early 80s before she met Juliet's father. By the late 80s, Marie had become a mother and decided that she would stay home with her children. First came Christopher. Chris had always been interested in movies. He had gone to NYU's film school for college and moved to LA right after. Next came Caroline. Caroline followed in her father's footsteps and went to law school. She attended Brown as a legacy student and had come back to NYC for a job in the financial district. Juliet was the youngest of the three and had attended college at Columbia.

Somehow over the past few years, she had amassed 1.2 million followers on Instagram. After graduating she decided to turn those followers into an audience and she launched a website. She had been writing full time for her blog for 3 and a half years. She had been featured in Harper's Bazaar, Marie Claire, and Vogue. The latter had led to a friendship with Anna Wintour. She had also traveled to Paris and London working with brands like Stella McCartney and Saint Laurent. Juliet could hardly believe that this was her life, working in fashion and writing about the things that she truly loved.

"Alright, Ms. Oliver are you ready?" She took a deep breath and smiled at the man. She started walking and was met with a large crowd of photographers and reporters.

There was a chorus of shouts, "This way!" "Juliet, over here!" "Look here," "Smile" as she made her way across the pink carpet. She began ascending the iconic Met steps. She stopped for a couple of interviews. As she was about to head inside she heard the shrieks of the teenage girls that were lined up along 5th Avenue. Years ago, that had been her. She looked over at the front entrance and noticed that Alessandro Michele, the creative director at Gucci, had arrived and with him was Harry Styles. Harry wore a sheer black top, black heeled boots, and a single earring. She admired his outfit from afar before turning her attention back to the front doors of the MET.

"Juliet!" She turned to see Lana Condor making her way up the steps. Juliet had met Lana and a few other ladies wearing Giambattista months ago during fittings.

"Lana, it's so good to see you. You look gorgeous!" Juliet pulled her in for a hug.

"Thanks, Juliet, so do you! They knew what they were doing when they put you in purple. It's your color!"

"You're the sweetest. Next time you're in New York we should get dinner." Juliet said and she moved up to the next step.

"Yes, for sure! I'll see you inside." Lana stepped towards one of the red carpet correspondents to give an interview.

Juliet headed towards the front door nearly running into Harry Styles as she did.

"Oh, I'm sorry," she said quickly. He looked over at her with his emerald green eyes and dimpled smile.

"S'okay love. Y'look very nice, by the way." She felt warmth spread through her body and she smiled back at him.

"Thanks, so do you."

"'m Harry." He stuck his hand out towards her.

"It's nice to meet you, Harry. I'm Juliet." His large hand was softer than she had expected.

"Hmm, Juliet. Quite a romantic name." He chuckled.

"Yeah, I guess so."

"Juliet, s'nice to meet ya. Maybe I'll see ya inside, yeah?" He moved closer to the door.

"Yeah." She smiled and followed after him and into the Metropolitan Museum of Art.

Sometime later Juliet was running on champagne and adrenaline. Cher was performing a few of her greatest hits. The beginning chords of "If I Could Turn Back Time" sounded through the speakers and Juliet smiled. She was dancing around in her own little world with some of the people around her when she noticed that Harry was watching her from across the room with a smile on his face.

Once the song was over she noticed that Harry had moved. He came up beside her and leaned over to whisper in her ear.

"Ya coming to the after-party? Think ya should." She nodded.

"I'll be there."

"Save a dance for me, yeah?" She felt her face turn red.

"I can do that." He gave her a longing look and made his way back over to his friends.

Alessandro was hosting a Met Gala after-party at Hunter College. Juliet changed into a red pantsuit. The blazer was v-neck and she decided that she wouldn't wear anything underneath. It gave her an edgier look. Once she was inside the school gymnasium it didn't take long for her to find Harry. He had a champagne glass in one hand and was using the other as he carried on about something. The speakers were blaring a song that Juliet didn't know when someone grabbed her arm.

"I didn't know that you'd be here." Juliet turned to see Mary Kate Olsen.

"Oh my god! It's so good to see you." Mary Kate smiled.

"Let's get a drink." the two girls set off in search of the bar. "Are you still writing?"

"Yeah, it's going really well. I'm meeting with a few people next week about starting my own fashion line. I know it's a lot of work, but it's something I've wanted to do forever." Juliet said as they approached the bar.

"I think that's a great idea. It might seem like it's an oversaturated market, but if you bring something to the table that's new and unique you'll do great." The girls both got Vodka Tonics and went back to an open couch.

"I'm really excited to start the process. I've got a long way to go." Juliet said sipping on her drink.

"Well, if you need help or just someone to talk to, please call me." Mary Kate gave her a smile. Despite being so private, Mary Kate Olsen had always gone out of her way to be kind to Juliet. They had met a few years ago at London Fashion Week.

"How's Ashley?"

"She's good. I feel like we're constantly running 100 miles per hour with our brands. She was at the gala earlier but she was ready to go home. Why don't you come by later this week and see us? You could even throw out some of your ideas for your line. We'd be happy to give you our opinions." Mary Kate touched Juliet's arm.

"Yes. I'll text you tomorrow after I look at my calendar. You'd think I'd have it on my phone. I'm still old fashioned that way. I like writing things down in my planner."

"Yeah, I understand. Please do that! See you soon."

Juliet stood up as well and looked out at the dance floor, so many people were scattered around dancing and talking. She told Mary Kate goodbye and made her way to the edge of the dance floor. "Sucker" by the Jonas Brothers was playing. Juliet laughed as she saw Harry singing his heart out.

The song died out and a new one began playing. She knew what it was almost immediately. It was, "Take My Breath Away" by Berlin, or as many people knew it as the love theme from Top Gun. She downed the rest of her vodka tonic and sat the empty glass on the closet table to her. She took a deep breath and approached Harry.

"How about that dance?" He gave her a devilish grin and pulled her in his arms.

"How's ya night been, Juliet?" Harry asked as they swayed back and forth to the 80s pop ballad.

"It's been great. I don't want it to end..." she wished out loud. She admired the man holding her, his features soft in the dim light of the gymnasium.

"Think I'll ever see ya again? Quiet like looking at ya." He asked. Juliet felt her cheeks heat up.

"Maybe, if you're lucky," she said teasingly. If Harry wanted to see her again, of course, she would say yes.

"Can't believe we've never met before."

"I know. I'm glad you were a co-chair this year. I like your style a lot. You dress in a way that makes you feel good, no matter what anyone says about you. I like that about you." She said. His green eyes were sparkling.

"Thank you. 'm blushing, really." They laughed together as the song died down.

"It was so nice to meet you, Harry. I'll see you around." He hesitated, almost like he didn't know how to respond. Finally, the words came out.

"Yeah, you too Jules. See ya around." He held her hand a second longer before letting go and drifting off into the crowd of people.

Juliet found the exit and called Cal, her driver. He pulled up a moment later. She got into the SUV and Cal drove off in the direction of her apartment. The entire drive home she played Harry's words over and over again in her head. "Yeah, you too Jules. See ya around." Normally, she only let her family call her Jules. But, she liked the way it sounded when Harry said it. As Cal pulled up outside her apartment, she silently prayed that tonight wasn't the last time she would see Harry.

Fic jumps between Cherry & Seto’s POV

W! This is going to be a kidnapped fic. SFW. (For the most part. No sex) its a different take. Instead of the fan being obsessed its the comic book artist.

Super Big Comic Con was was always in September, the last weekend of the month where all the fans and collectors gathered to share interest and spend all their money on prints, comics and whatever else they could find. Cherry had to rush through her homework the week before so she could focus on the con and only the con. She was a junior in highschool studying editing and art. She was a popular girl with everybody but she really preferred her own space to think and work on her ideas. One day she wanted to work at a comic book company in the editing department. Her name was Cher but she liked to be called Cherry. Cherry was about 5’4 with long cherry red hair and her fashion was usually lose tops with overalls and sneakers, she was thin with a tiny waistline and always had eyeliner on with little wings. She had a lip ring that was a shiny silver and a eyebrow piercing in her right brow to match. She always carried herself with confidence and opportunity. She had been saving up for the hotel so she could attend the con all weekend and it was finally time.

Seto was just getting ready to leave his house to make his way to the convention. He checked all his rooms, his locks and finally his basement. It made him frown as he leaned on the stairway looking in on the empty room; it consisted of a fuzzy carpet, an expensive dresser, an even more expensive computer and a brand new art tablet. This was his ‘inspiration room’ but lately… it was missing what inspired him the most.

He sat down on the bottom step with his elbows on his knees as he scanned around the room he put so much money into, he was a very tall man, lanky and an even 6’1 with jet black hair he liked to keep long.

The windows were small and high up, one on each wall. He got up with a slouch not bothering to fix his short hairs in his eyes as he sulked to the little area under his stairs. It had a small wall so you could not see inside and a door with a lock on it. He lightly kicked the door open leaning forward to peek in, his hands in his pockets. It was the same carpet with a small tv built into the wall and a makeshift bed that looked like just blankets that were sitting comfortably on some chains that were attached to the wall. He needed a new inspiration, he was lonely. Poor guy, all those comics he drew for could not fill the empty hole in his heart

Cherry had packed her bag into her car along with some clothes for the hotel and was ready to go. She got in the driver's seat and left her hometown for the next city over on her way to Super Big Comic Con. It was a long drive, maybe an hour and a half but she checked into her room around mid afternoon and could still catch the first day of the con if she hurried.

The first thing Cherry wanted to do was walk the con and see what it had to offer. It was always a delight for her, comics, artists, figures, cosplayers, writers all in one place. She bought some prints and asked some artist for advice that would help her with her career choice. Most artist were very nice and told her its a great place to work which really boosted her confidence. Cherry was making her way through the con looking for one particular comic artist. He was her favorite and she had all of his books and even his special edition sketch books. His pen name was Kidd Nathers but he usually went by Kidd for short. He always showed up whenever he wanted which normally meant towards the end of the day. He always did it this way, his real fans would wait around for him. Made picking out his inspiration easy.

Seto sulked through the con, hands in his pockets and eyes half lidded. He loathed these cons to be painfully honest. Too many people congesting the walkways and fake fans trying to get free art. He was nearing his mid 30s and just had no time for it. Long hours of editing, drawing with no pay off. Sure he got paid very well but what's the point if he had no one to spend it on right? Seto was approaching his table to see one person waiting near it. Just one fan ? well okay. Looks pretty legit.

Seto slid down into his chair laying his arms on the booth and sorting out all of his prints with sticky notes on each one with a set price. He did not do deals, too many hagglers and what not. He ran a bony hand through his hair watching this girl check her phone a few times while she looked around. Must not know he sneaked up.

“Looking for me?” his voice had a tickle in it along with a subtle tease. His smile creeped up his face too.

Cherry jumped nearly dropping her phone, the little cherry phone keychain dangling around in the air . her hair whipped around and Seto raised an eyebrow once he saw her face, that smile once she realized who was talking to her. Eyeliner, piercings, that hair.. He rested his cheek on his palm while his free hand tapped his booth. “Sorry i'm late, i didn't want to come. “ he said with a cheeky smile.

“Kidd!!!” Cherry hurried over placing her hands on the booth with a big smile on her face that made her lip ring shine in the light. “Oh my gosh your here! I was beginning to think you would skip this time around but something told me to wait it out , i love your work!!!”

Awww .. you're so nice. “Thank you ,I'm flattered” he tapped his index finger on his face under his eye. “Big fan, I take it? And i show up when i want but it appears you already know that “ he told her , leaning back to stretch. He was wearing a long white top with a stretched out neck with black jeans and boots.

Cherry could not hide her blush; she was so excited. “I just!!! I watch all your interviews, well . I read them since I know you said once you don't like in person interviews but you said you like to show up late to cons or not go at all. Im happy your here, if its any recollection, i love your work and its made my whole day to see you let alone talk to you. What you do is truly amazing.”

Seto folded his arms behind his head letting out a soft laugh and a big smile. He was touched by her words it gaver him a pleasant high , something he had not had in awhile. It was only the first day of this con and he was already feeling a … connection.

“Thank you, that means the world to me, these cons are a hit or miss for me, its the only time i really leave the house.” he faked a laugh .

“Aw cmon! Surely you go out!”She teased while looking through his prints.

“Okay okay” he leaned on his booth with his arms folded while smiling up at her, “ya caught me” he was lying. “See anythin ya like…?”

“Cher!! But i go by Cherry! And well. Everything but i only have maybe $80 left so i can only get one print.”

Cherry….. “Thats a nice name and nickname, pick whichever you want and ill sign it for you Cherry”

Cherry had picked a jester girl with a chain around her neck with a big hammer behind her back . Seto signed it for her and even put it in a print holder for her,

“Thank you!” she beamed while looking at the print.

“My pleasure”

“Will you uh be here tomorrow and sunday?” she asked looking at him.

“Mmm.. yeah, i will. Just for you “ Seto teased, poking at the girls arm.

Cherry giggled and waved goodbye to the comic book artist leaving Seto all alone. He felt good inside, this feeling in his chest was telling him something. Should be an interesting Convention for once.

preparing Travelling Day Book – breakfast at 9 1/2 in 3/4 hour – at my desk at 10 1/4 – from then to 1 20/60 at my Travelling account writing out posting account of the first ten days of my journey – should have done much more but so bilious all the morning stopt I know not how long at the adding up of one page, and after doing it I know not how often, always making the amount different was obliged to give it up – answers from Mr Waterhouse, and from Monsieur Monod, that they will come – gently at 1 25/60 raining now and for the last 1 1/2 hour – had sent a little note to Madame de Hagemann this morning to offer to take her to the Embassy, at 2, and had little note back to say yes – and we were off at 2 1/4 – an hour at the Embassy Lord and Lady S– (Stuart) and Mr Gregory and Mrs Hamilton entered as we did – Lady S (Stuart) never asked us to go into the childrens room to lucheon  she would have asked me had not Mr de H (Hagemann) been there?  better not take hher again? then called and sat 1/2 hour with Madame de Bourke my 1st visit save going to see little Frederic de H– (Hagemann) who had a paire de France sitting with her – very civil – said she would call on me in a few days, but could not sooner – I have long asked Madame de H– (Hagemann) to go with me to Madame de B– (Bourke) thinking that if she would take me in to bed and board, it might just suit me some time or other – then drove to Giroux’s to choose Etrennes for the 2 Stuart children – a long while there – at last chose a soufflet writing case for Charles and to have albums to look at tomorrow for Louisa – will cost about one hundred and seventy francs – then called at Corcelet’s (au gourmand) palais royal, and got bottle of sherry and bottle of pickles and home at 5 3/4 – read a litle of the paper – George had had too much liquor but managed wherewithal remarkably well considering – 

dinner at 6 20/60 read the paper – the sentence read to the ex-ministers yesterday morning the bearer set off at 6 a.m. and found them all in bed – Polignac too ill to get up – all of them disappointed with the severity of the sentence – P– (Polignac) perpetual confinement ‘in a solitary prison’ and dead in civil law – so that even his wife is a widow and might marry again tomorrow, and his children inherit from him as if he had died intestate, and he is incapable of inheriting or possessing property etc etc As the peer at Madame de B–‘s (Bourke’s) this morning said ‘Il n’y a de perpetuité en France’ otherwise I should have preferred real death to this civil death with perpetual imprisonment – the other 3 ex-ministers condemned to perpetual imprisonment but no mention in their case of civil death – came to the dining room at 8 20/60 and asleep till coffee at 9 10/60 – found letter on coming home from M– (Mariana) Leamington – 3 pages and the ends – would have written last week but prevented by having sprained her shoulder otherwise good account of herself – has merely a very little of her old complaint whites now and then. nothing particular in the letter – note of excuse from Mr Henry Edwards – a prior engagement –

a little boy of 18 cook came to see if I would engage him to come and cook a dinner for us on Saturday – Oh! no! – but told the poor 5 francs a day boy so very civilly – but this pother about ordering a dinner is terrible – raining at noon (vide line 12 of today – and a little when we went out and when we came back –

wrote all but the first 12 lines of today and in about 1 1/4 hour wrote 2 2/3 pages to M– Mariana till 11 10/60 – came to my room at 11 40/60 at which hour Fahrenheit 38° and fine night –

Xemnas – Surprisingly good??? Mostlyprefers to sing emotional ballads, and his deep ass voice is pretty good atconveying emotion. His face would be so hilarious tho because he’d be trynamake these deep, soulful facial expressions because he’s extra af. Hisspecialities would be Foreigner, Celine Dion, Heart and Africa by Toto.

Xigbar – Fucking chaotic.  Bitch can’t even hold a note. Would bepartial to singing classic rock anthems, such as AC/DC, Aerosmith, AliceCooper, stuff like that. Is loud af, and pretty much screams high notes becauseotherwise he can’t reach them. Gets way too into it. Actually thinks he’spretty amazing, no one else agrees.

Xaldin – Okay so this guys gotta bepretty fucking drunk to be convinced to do karaoke. He isn’t necessarily badbut he isn’t good either. Probs would prefer to sing some old blues. Xigbaronce attempted to convince Xaldin to do a duet with him and Xaldin punched himin the face.

Vexen – Has this screechy ass voicethat no one wants to hear. Should not sing ever. Would be into singing 80stunes, so basically he has the same music taste as most nerdy dads. Wouldattempt to sing songs by Erasure and A-ha. Always manages to reach the highnotes, and almost destroys everyone’s ears.

Lexaeus – Lowkey has an angelic singingvoice. Y’know in Step Brothers where Brennan sings Por Ti Volare at theCatalina Wine Mixer??? That would be Lexaeus. His voice can make people cry. AndXigbar would be in the background yelling ‘BOATS N HOES’

Zexion – ‘Wake me up- WAKE ME UPINSIDE’. Very emo, 10/10 for emotion and effort. Isn’t a good singer, andpretty much yells the songs. He’d sing songs by Fall Out Boy, MCR andEvanescence.

Saїx – Partaking in karaoke is arare occurrence. Sings in a monotone voice and looks like he wants to die. Can’twait for the song to be over. Always chooses to sing shit by Nickelback becausehe’s a fucking loser. Axel and Demyx would be pissing themselves laughing theentire time.

Axel – ‘I’M A FIRESTARTER, TWISTEDFIRESTARTER’. Doesn’t really sing, he more like yells the entire song. What helacks in skill hr makes up for with enthusiasm and charisma. Fun karaoke pal.Would also sing songs by Blink 182, Electric Six and Green Day.

Demyx – HE WAS BORN READY! Totalkaraoke whore. Gets way too into it. Will sing everything and anything, andalso won’t let anyone else have a turn. The microphone will have to be peeledfrom his cold, dead hands. Does really well at performing songs by Sum 41,Bowling for Soup and Nicki Minaj???

Luxord – ‘Anyways here’s Wonderwall’ Obsessedwith Oasis and also Queen. He has a pretty steady voice tbh, and would be quitepleasant to listen to. 10/10 would recommend.

Larxene – HATES KARAOKE! Whoever forcedher to do this will die. Would probably sing stuff by Avril Lavigne, P!nk, TheSounds and Kelly Clarkson, y’know, just girly pop rock anthems.

Marluxia – You just know he’s gonna killit. He would be amazing at karaoke. His specialities would be ABBA, Cher andLady Gaga. He’s a gay karaoke icon.

Roxas – Emo boi. Would be so bad atkaraoke omg. He’d be so quiet and just mumble into the microphone. Very shy.Someone just save this boy from the humiliation and take the goddamn mic offhim pleASE.
