I built this list on this other list I found and then spent way too much time adjusting the titles. (Like, the man made My Neighbor Totoro and Scream references and they weren't on the list.) It includes aliases used, quotes, references, etc. I made some executive decisions on what to include which I'm assuming no one wants to hear about. The list is long af, but it covers all 15 seasons.

i mentioned it somewhere in this blog, however, it probably got buried! margot’s voice in tone isn’t too dissimilar in my mind from her fc’s, only a little lighter and higher than her normal.   in short, i mean basically the voice caroline uses for her role as vera in the pacific.   unlike vera, however, margot has a discernible accent, a combination of a minnesotan midwest accent with an emphasis on the slightly musical lilt from her scandinavian roots.   nothing super intense except when she’s using local slang, but definitely not a ‘blank’ american midwest accent.   

in her main, i could absolutely see her leaning a bit heavier into it when talking to boys from the midwest, because even if they’re not from minnesota or wisconsin, they’re more likely to think it sounds a bit more like home. this does carry over in her star wars verses, but with more of an emphasis on the musical lilt than being strongly identifiable as a minnesotan accent.   it’s obvious to anyone she meets that she isn’t from a core world, that’s for sure.   i know some characters learn to speak without theirs or purposefully hide it due to core prejudices, but she refuses to do so.   considering where she is and how she got there, as well as her mindset, i’m not surprised at all.   that being said, since she has a bit of a talent for mimicry, she can imitate other accents and does if she’s making a joke or mocking someone.  however, she won’t even do that if someone mocks hers.   is it a point of pride?   absolutely… and she also prefers how her voice sounds in her native accent above all the others she can do.

oh and in pre-minnesota our world verses... it's just a northern swedish accent.

Chapter 77 of the manhwa: says Helene is lonely just as the manhwa shows Helene saying to Fian “this is all my fault”. Also calls Helene out as being extremely similar to Lyla (something that has now been thrice reiterated by Paris, the garden guy/Hendel, and now Phillip) and this is in spite of the fact Helene and Lyla are definitely opposite of each other Literally the chapter before this (and after iirc): people who grew up close together have very similar “souls” and will be confused as being like each other by those around them. Case in point: Phillip and Fian who have been confused as each other by Daniel, Paris, and Fian’s own mother despite being very different people Me, putting the pieces together from the light novel: oh. Ohhhhhhhhh. Time to cry again oh nooooooo

Or: I’m once again astounded by the clever foreshadowing that The Mighty Extra’s manhwa partakes in and how it spoils things ahead of time if you connect the dots. Using Fian and Phillip’s changed relationship and “similar souls” thing to subtly hint at the truth of Lyla’s and Helene’s relationship is amazingly well done. It's something that goes over the head at first glance but if you notice the parallel and what it's implying...man I love TME <3

If all the chapters are roughly the same length... and if I read at the same pace I read today... it will take me at least 2 weeks to meet the character I need to see for myself about. I am gritting my teeth and clenching my fists over this. Not mad about having so much content to have to read (I am actually glad there's a lot) but rather I'm simply impatient as fuck.

Armand is someone who has been has been trained (in brothels, by Marius, and by 500+ years worth of life experience) to adapt himself to what the people around him want. Throughout seasons 1-2, different people get very different versions of Armand, depending on who they are and who’s retelling the story at the time.

It’s the primary way Armand protects himself, whether he’s a teenage sex slave or the oldest, strongest person in the room. It’s how he controls people. Fundamentally, it’s the only way Armand knows to make people love him (an approximation of love at least). Worse, it’s the only way Armand knows how to love — by twisting and contorting himself into whatever form he thinks his current obsession wants or needs him to be. He even does it to his victims for crying out loud.

And then here’s Daniel, who is constantly seeking authenticity and truth. Who’s bullshit detector is never “off”. Who cannot tolerate any kind of masquerade, manipulation or lie – no matter how kind or well intentioned. Not out of any moral or ethical objection, but because Daniel simply cannot leave things well enough alone once something attracts his attention. He has to know. He has to see where it goes and how it ends.

Daniel knew something was off about “Rashid” from the beginning, so he began to pick the situation in Dubai apart until Armand revealed himself. And then he kept going until he completely destroyed the narrative Armand had spent 77 years constructing.

Daniel deliberately and systematically pulled “Armand, Amadeo, Arun” apart and laid him bare with nothing but but a laptop, some free time, a near-suicidal disregard for his own personal safety and a mouth that just wouldn’t quit.

There’s power in being seen, in being known, ugly parts and all. What would it feel like, to be completely exposed like that for the first time in centuries?

So yeah it makes sense to me that Armand, who puts on all these acts and artifices to draw people in, but which only serve to ensure they’re kept at a distance, would turn his big sad orange eyes on the person who blew them all to smithereens and be all “…I wanna do this forever, actually.”
