70000TONS OF METAL 2024: January 29 - February 2 Miami, FL to Puerto Plata, Dominican Republic

The 70000TONS OF METAL festival organizers have announced that the twelfth edition of the floating festival will sail on January 29th to February 2nd from Miami, Florida - Cruise Capital of the World - to Puerto Plata, Dominican Republic and back, on board the luxury passenger vessel Freedom of the Seas.

The festival will once again host 60 Heavy Metal bands spanning all subgenres and welcome 3000 metalheads from around the world. 

Freedom of the Seas, a Freedom class cruise ship, offers a host of amenities and complimentary dining options. Guests will also enjoy unrestricted festival access to all 120+ performances across four stages: 

The Royal Theater is a five-storied concert hall. The more intimate Star Lounge offers the local club vibe. A third indoor stage, Studio B, provides an arena-like atmosphere. Lastly, but most notable, the Pool Deck Stage: The World’s Biggest Open Air Stage structure to sail the Open Seas. This colossal stage is surrounded by bars, plenty of room to sunbathe and even hot tubs incorporated into the stage itself, offering guests the unique opportunity to watch their favorite metal bands from the comfort of a hot tub.

The ship will sail to Puerto Plata - the Dominican Republic's oldest city in the north and the pioneer of tourism in the country. Take a cable car to the top of “Monte Isabel de Torres”, a peak rising 2,600 feet above sea level. Try some local fare with a bowl of la Bandera: a meat stew with rice, beans, and fried plantains or a saucy Pescado con coco (fish in coconut sauce). 

La Casa de la Cultura is a three-story Victorian house that features local arts exhibits, a contemporary art gallery, library and store with local goods for sale. Find yourself some of the oldest, most translucent amber in the world, which Puerto Plata is famous for.

I think we might be pretty close to it being possible to reach level 21 without any event/limited time XP.

My side account, Zelda Bowsmith, is an ongoing experiment in which I don't collect any XP that won't be permanently available. Most of the time I just don't participate in the events (during the large ones I rarely even play, just to be sure) to make sure I 100% don't collect anything, and so far I haven't to my knowledge slipped up.

Currently, I am at 73355 XP (level 20 is 70000 and level 21 is 80000). Here is a list of things I haven't done that I know will give me Character XP.

Path of the Apprentice Pts. 8, 9, 10, 11, and 12

cleared Jamie Olivetree's last reputation blocker

started Hayden's spider-searching quest (though I'm doing the quests that lead up to it now), which has a few yellow quests for different spider-collection milestones

finished the last chapter of Token's Travels, which gives you a pretty good chunk of XP at the end

finished Soul Riding (I only just started a few days ago, currently at 1500) which both gives you a couple XP chunks along the way and a big chunk at the end

any main quests post-memorial (except for a tiny bit of the lead-up to the Light Ride), which all give a ton of XP - just the latest main quest gave 800ish XP, if I'm not mistaken.

I'm expecting those things to give at least a few thousand XP all added up. I don't want to do any calculations because quite frankly I'm enjoying the suspense, but it's going to be exciting to see how this turns out.

Sorry he doesn't have crazy fans who will dig up everything. He doesn't have an obsessive media glare harassing him. He can move about streets/in public without getting recognised. He doesn't have to show up to a job where he has to sing forever songs he wrote about his ex for 70000 people multiple times each week in different parts of the world. Everyone and their mother is not his ass. The pressure itself is insane. Taylor has had it for 17 years. He didn't get slut shamed in the media internationally when they broke up and his art made fun of. He was portrayed as the poor victim. Thinkpieces where every author claimed her obsessive greed and success took toll. To compare him to someone like me I can't go so many months without a job because something went wrong in my life. he is immensely privileged that he has been able to take a break and still live so comfortably lmao. I would be on the streets in 8 days. He is very lucky he is able to deal all of it without any outside pressure while Taylor is facing the heat. The daily mail articles anyone?

of course joe has the right and ability to be open or public about this - taylor certainly is in the short-term (pap walks, dating matty in the public eye, etc.) and long-term (future music.) so sure, we can politely golf-clap that he's chosen to keep his head down.

Oh yeah weird smut usually gets tons of hits *gestures at that one 70000-hit tentacle porn heta fic* I have a few weird smut fics, but the 2 I consider weirdest have 8000+ hits between them. All of my other fics are way lower hits-wise. One of my favorites I wrote is about 100.

Dhdhhdf and I think mine is getting hits as fast as it is bc last time I checked none of these tags had very much in it to begin with, one of them has literally just been me for the past year, so people pounce on it when they get the chance
