About Me

Hey Guys it's been a while since I started this tumblr account. I have some updates to the rules of my page:

I'm cool with spicier scenes but I will still not be writing sex (it doesn't suit my fancy but definitely not kink shaming ;)

I cooler with cussing. A shit ton cooler.

I'll probably use more he/she pronouns in my stories (I won't forget about my non-binary friends tho!).

Feel free to make asks or write continuations to any of the stories I've written (tag me so I can see it! :). I want to see creativity in a different way than mine!

I won't entertain rude criticisms but I am always open to humanized feedback.

Prompt

They say when bears appear, Opossums will play dead, regardless of whether that’s the best way to survive. They simply fall to the ground and pray that the bear is not hungry. 

And as Villain draws closer, I can’t help but feel a certain kinship with the Opossum. 

But of course, what they say, isn’t always true. Opossums, when scared, enter a catatonic state - not out of choice; not out of strategic thinking - they simply fall to the ground, every muscle paralyzed. They do not recover until at least an hour after the danger has passed. 

That must be why I can’t move, even as Villain brushes the hair out of my face, even as he speaks.

“I wonder… How long you’ll pretend to be asleep.”

The world seemed to sway in slow motion, maybe last moments are like that, the horror of their plan falling apart in front of them, the bullet lodged in their chest, and the dead woman lying in front of them. Her eyes stared up at them as if a final accusation, I told you. I told you.

Dear Hero, 

Please meet me at Cherry-Bell lane next to the park at two AM sharp. And do come alone; it would be a pain to hide anything more than one dead body tonight.

Villain watched as his A.I. wrung their hands nervously, it was something he hadn’t coded in - I’m really peaking in the intelligence department. Wait until the geeks at the lab get a load of this. 

The A.I.’s voice sounded almost human as it spoke words Villain had never written in them, “I want to break up.”

I’ve hit an all time low.

Concept

We’ve all heard of the trope where ‘your magic doesn’t work unless your relationship with your loved one is doing good.’ Now get ready for the, ‘your relationship is perfect, but to use your magic you have to deliberately sabotage your relationship’ trope.

Concept #1

Why don’t Villains just figure out Hero’s identity and cut their brakes? Effective. Straight to the point. Minimal effort.

Prompt/short story?

Somehow this life carried me away. I went from world to world destroying; looking for a love that did not require work. I blamed others for what I did not have and took what they had. I can never repay them for what I have done. They are gone and died many eons ago. I went through an unspecified amount of time going through the motions after my evil deeds, and I changed. Though I did not realize my mistake I was one step closer to a good person.

I felt him behind me before he could startle me; I didn’t tell him that. I let him have this, if only to see him smile. He’s hands clamped over my shoulders lightly and I did my best to act startled. I tensed, did a little scream and tried to look bewildered. 

I gave a small smile and when his eyes met mine I chuckled “You scared me!”

He gave a real laugh, I had convinced him, in more ways than one, and he was genuinely happy- a good human. He replied by removing my book from my hands, that I had been reading, and took my hand closest to him and pulled me gently from my seat and spun me. I hugged him.

I was married to this human, but not for much longer. 

I had trusted him, but I had been wrong. I had always been wrong.

Vigilante: They had it coming.

Reasons to Kidnap Someone

It totally got rid of my cool formatting- Sorry :/

They are in your way

They saw too much

Maybe wrong place at the wrong time

To silence them

Maybe they are too smart and know too much? Or are guessing too correctly

Maybe they are a reporter and are placing too much emphasis on taking you down

Or just paying you attention on media

You disagree with their political statements

Vehemently hate them because of it

Maybe like sexism or racism

Or want to change their opinions

They are in your friend group and you don’t cope well with them being there

Things would be so much easier if your best friend didn’t have a fiance!

To mind wipe them/control them

Emotional Reasons

Vengeance

To conconquer/ prove your better

Because you love them

You want a friend!

Only they are good enough?

Or only they would be willing to love you?

You want a yes ma’am person

Because you feel like you own them

Because you want to mess with them

To eat them… this one’s kind of weird but oh whelp.

Maybe they’re like a civilian Hero pays close attention to and you be all over that ship and you want to blossom their romance by getting Hero to save them???!!! DRAMA!!!

OOOOooo what if they end up being like Hero’s cousin that would be awkward and hysterical.

You think they suck morally and the city deserves a better hero. A new one will come if you get rid of the current one

Can either be super dark

Or can be light like ‘Ha! I’ve won more times than you!’

They are your sibling or someone of close relation

To team up

Hero’s been wrongly convicted and they resist your escape attempts insisting they believe in the justice system. They leave you no choice.

To heal them

Maybe because you owe them and this will somehow help them?

To save them from someone else

Like maybe from hero/supervillain/ect.

Or maybe they are a kid and you want to keep them from battle?

Because they are pregnant

Maybe you want to make sure they are not putting the unborn child in danger

To give them information or prove the information to them

For a surprise birthday thing???

Maybe you don’t understand emotions very well and so you kidnap Hero’s ex-lover/ex-friend and deliver them to and your thinking, ‘Hero’s mad and they probably want to take it out on their ex.’

Either Hero is down with this

Or they don’t correct you but is like do whatever you want to them

Maybe ship them to another country, get rid of them etc.

Or they be like ‘that's a big bundle of messed up bro.’

Either like “they are no good for you, I’m saving you from a toxic relationship”

Or “they are improving you and motivating you waaaaaay too much! I better scare them away/kill them/make Hero think they just disappeared or broke up with them!”

Or something like I can get anyone of you at any time, nowhere is safe

To barter for someone else or something else

Social Expectations/ Fulfilling Obligations

You need a date to some work meeting or something

You need to pretend to be married

Because it’s expected of you as a villain

What if that was how you interviewed for henchmen?

To get an update on someone else

If you guys can think of any other reasons, clean- not icky, dirty ones- I’d love to put them on my list. These are definitely not all my ideas! I have seen them in other works and stuff, so they are kind of for anyone to use. 

When I ask people ‘why would someone kidnap someone else’ the usual response is rape. And it’s sometimes hard to think outside of that reason, especially when you favor writing female protagonists. So next time, choose from this fancy list and have a good whump.

Reporters Boss The bank tellers The way I look at it is that you either have to be really stupid to have a bank in a world that is constantly being robbed by people with super powers, or you have to be really strong. So no banks or heavily fortified banks. So thus the bank teller is one of the most powerful people on the city. What powers do they have? Do they live a solitary life? Do they feel justified in working at a bank instead of saving the city like other supers? Are they thousands of years old or brand new? Is it passed down from generation to generation or simply randomly inherited power? Do they bond with the bank house? Does the bank choose them?

Like one day you walk into a bank, and then super villain comes in and kills the bank teller. The bank is like Yooooooou shall be my new bank teller! And now you have to learn these awesome powers and take on super villain. AND what if you got captured!?? Do your powers travel with you??? 

Coworkers Civilians Sidekicks Parents Siblings Random not-named side characters The Villain Wrangler Mentors Lovers Organization leaders Friends The Enforcer The Fall Guy The police Detectives? Technically they don’t fight. They would like, follow the trail of breadcrumbs and look up to see Villain and be like ‘oh my! What have I gotten myself into!’

Courtroom people? Lawyers Judges Jury OOOOooo imagine the Villain threatening each and everyone of them! Like ‘you better vote ‘not guilty,’ or else!’

Henchmen Doctors Award Givers Bounty Hunters Tenant  This could be fun, like you rent out the flat above you to the Hero and Villain (Unbeknownst to any of you Hero and Villain’s secret identities). And you describe what it’s like to live with two of the most crazy people on the planet. Maybe you find out before both of them and try your best to contain their crazy by establishing ‘necessary rules.’

Roommate Nullifiers People being used as leverage/Insurance- so like hostages  Animals preferably a cat (personal preference). Maybe the cat is a spy for the villain or vise versa maybe it can turn into a person that way we can have that dramatic moment when Hero sees their cat transform into a human and they are outraged like ‘You’ve seen me naked!’ and the cat-person responds “Yes, and I was suffering for the greater good!” or like ‘Well remember that time you had a vet stick their finger up my butt? We’ve all suffered here.’

Spies Children Teachers Classmates Principals Customers Scientist Repairman Maybe they are on call because Villain or Hero keeps breaking each others stuff, or their own stuff in their frustrations Could be kind of cool to see the Villain and the Hero fight over the repairman like ‘I had her first! Find your own Repairman!’

Bat crazy Grandma who offers words of advice that make no sense  Maybe after Hero/Villain leaves Grandma drops the vacant incoherent act and laughs saying ‘I love doing that!’ Now back to work. And they’ve got hero/villain telling them everything because they think Grandma has altizmers or dementia but really grandma is a spy 0.o

Stalker/exuberant fan Bomb maker/ gun dealer The clean up crew Maybe Hero gets buried under a building and Crew digs them out and with Hero’s last dying breath they give Crew their powers

Student of Hero or Villain in classroom setting? Attractive person Chef Maid/butler/servant/slave Assistant Who had NO idea they work for an evil/super person and just goes along scheduling and getting stuff for their boss. Like why the heck does my boss need me to get B+ blood??? I don’t care. I don’t get paid enough to care. That’s what they keep telling themself as more and more obvious clues stack up. I don’t care. I don’t. 

Artists- like commissioned to do a paint job? Or kidnapped to do a paint job? Mechanic Tutor When I refused to give little Timn a cookie I didn’t know he was going to electrocute me!

Kid/adult that gets bullied into doing villain/hero’s homework Politician Dry Cleaners High school bully Government agents Snoopy Neighbor? Therapist Negotiator for hostages and the like The getaway driver

If you’ve got anymore side characters, or main characters, I’d love to put them on my list. Also if you see anything, that is appropriate, related to any of these characters I’d love to put a link in so other people can read them. 

Appropriate meaning not rape or anything too rape-y. 

Again some, if not all, are not my ideas. I have seen them in other works, or gotten them from friends. I’ve tried to put a couple links in that will direct you to some cool stories, some are mine, others are not. 

Though the what-if prompts on the side are mostly mine. I’m not sure if I’ve seen a bank teller one or if I made that up.

Villain: I haven't laid a hand on you; you don't need to edge so far away from me.

Hero: Just because a snake hasn't bit you, doesn't mean you should cuddle with it.

Villain: And here I thought you were a snake charmer?

Hero: A hunter doesn’t charm it’s prey.

Villain: But… Don’t they? ~The enchanting villain said moving closer.

Concept #4

Hero has grown an attachment to Villain’s new persona- they’ve really been helping out recently! Unfortunately after a particularly devastating loss, Villain gets a knock to the head. A CT at the hospital reveals Villain has a brain tumor- which has affected their entire personality for the past few months- Hero was falling in love (Platonic or otherwise) with a tumor. 

Do they get it removed? Does Villain heroically say I’d rather die than go back to the way I was? How does Hero feel about all this?

Concept #5

You would think. In a world of Superheroes and Super-villains that there would be Civilians running after these supers tracking their location, updating the public in real time. Like that kind of stuff would be government supported- like they’d have access to almost anywhere, private or otherwise. And it would keep the public safe. They would also have their own sirens and light changers and stuff- like the police- so they could get to the location quickly. 

And maybe on every street they’d have a super watcher to update the actual ‘super’ trackers. 

It would have high death rates- but it would pay really really well. 

Kind of like a mesh between reporter and police. 

Write me a story about how a civilian manages to track the fastest villain/hero.
