I received a lot of asks from people in Gaza requesting help with their fundraisers in these past months I've been off tumblr and I was thinking we could do a matching game. I'll donate $ 10 dollars to one fundraiser in this list and you guys can match my donation for more or for less, whatever you can. I really hope we can get traction and encourage donations this way. Doaa managed to escape to Egypt but she is having a very hard time providing for him and herself, having lost her means of survival in the war. She's also fundraising to aid her family still in Gaza, who she was entirely separated from.

Aseel Mohammed Jad Al-Haq @aseelo680 - vetted here: Aseel is a 28 years old from Gaza. She's fundraising to evacuate her parents and the weight of providing for her family is making an already miserable situation even worse. Her mother is chronically ill and her father had a stroke due to the heartbreak of losing so many family members. She's asking for help to get a tent to face the winter.

Salman Helles @salman-1990 - vetted here: Salman is fundraising to evacuate his family, including his four little boys. He's extremely low on funds and his posts have very little traction.

Mohammed Atallah @mohammedatallah - vetted here: Mohammed is a teenager from Gaza who was shot by an explosive bullet. He needs bone grafting surgery to reconstruct his arm and regain use of his hand. The funds will be donated to his surgery and the rebuilding of his family home. Mohammed has been the target of smear campaigns for months now but hasn't even raised a quarter of his goal.

Ahmed Hellis @ahmedhelllis - vetted here: Ahmed is looking to evacuate 20 family members. He's only a fourth way to his goal. This is a matter of keeping his whole family together when they evacuate.

Ola Ferwana - vetted here (#60 on this list): Ola's husband had traveled to Egyt to get medicine for their children before October 7th. She has been separated from him since then, and has faced every hardship by herself. She gave birth to a beautiful baby girl during the war and her husband hasn't met her yet. first redesign base of Charlie Morningstar!!

Here is a bit about my reimagined Charlie!

Charlotte M. Morningstar is the Antichrist and the sole heir to the Demonic Throne! She is a polite, energetic demoness, but be careful not to anger her too much. She is the Princess of Hell after all.

Charlie is intersex but uses she/her pronouns and sees herself as a woman. She is bisexual with a preference for men. She is very extroverted and friendly but struggles with anxiety and being a chronic workaholic.

Charlie is a bit of a chimera, having many goat and serpentine like features, the opposite to her Christ counterpart (whom she is actually good friends with.) In her casual form, she stands at 6'10" ft and with the added height of her tri-pronged horns she is 7'4" ft. She has a long, muscular tail with three fins at the end and four pairs of droopy goat ears, two on each side. She has somewhat droopy eyes with a thick set of lashes, the bottom lashes are very long and have a red colour to them. Charlie has hooves similar to that of a goat, and wears special shoes to accommodate them, they don't add to her height.

I had two main ideas for Charlie: 60s working woman and devil kewpie. I gave Charlie a 60s-inspired haircut (that way, Vaggie stands out a bit more, too, with having longer hair) with some curled fringe to be reminiscent of mountain goats. A big complaint I have with the original designs is that there is little shape diversity in Viv's characters, so I decided to make Charlie a bit on the chubby side, she has a lot of muscle concealed by that chub though! It was also inspired by Hot Stuff the Baby Devil and Kewpie in his devil outfit, as the roundness makes her seem friendlier and more approachable, despite her towering height and demon features.

Give me some ideas for her final design or the other characters! I'd love to bounce ideas off of others, I'll be posting her final design, backstory, and playlist soon as well as sketches and finals for the other characters!

Kind of alluded to it in my first darbit post but yall the way that of the two oldest brothers one has to work but then the other is. Pretty consistently around to keep an eye on Pony when his bio brothers can't. Two-Bit who could leave high school is instead aging himself out, conveniently placing him as the one older member to willingly supervise the baby of the group in the place where soda and Darry cannot physically go. Two Bit being initially non comittal abt the drive in but just so happening to come through and walk pony and Johnny back safely into their side of town. I put this as its own point in my earlier post too but just. Two Bit trying to drive out to Texas to get the boys back. Two Bit coming over to see Pony once he's out of the hospital. Two Bit volunteering himself to chaperone Ponyboy when his brothers have to go back to work. Two Bit going from giving Pony a busted bottle to being scared when Pony busts one himself. Two Bit sharing Darry's (and Soda's) sentiment that this kid is something special, but he needs to keep away from their habits so he can get out. Two Bit our favorite mama hen who's also the wine aunt.

And it's just so interesting to me that Two Bit is there p consistently but Pony has little to really say abt him. That tracks with the half of the gang who he kinda considers seconday-tertiary friends. Dally is connected to Pony through Johnny and isn't given much until he becomes more significant to Pony. Steve is Soda's best friend, and infamously he and Pony are Beefing all the time. But Two Bit? Again, I opened my darbit post with this, it's pair the spares, but it does kinda follow with the boys Pony doesn't have much insight on being the ones who are closer to other ppl in the gang. And anyway yeah Two Bit is the one who is most active and involved with watching Pony; he has the time and the freedom to be the more or less (usually a bit less) "Adult" with Pony, and he consistently shows up to do that, and idk how to close this off but. I do think it's funny if the gang is actually just these 3 couples that evolved over the years and also Pony is here, missing All of The Cues bc it's the 60s and they're all just a bunch of boys being guys and Johnny is just weirdly glowing towards Dally and Steve is just weirdly clingy towards Soda and for some reason Two Bit gets defensive of Darry and also won't stop watching Pony from kind of afar, but also close enough that he can pull him back by his collar if he needs to, and he seems worried about Darry approving of him hanging around and like. Is trying to do a decent job watching after Pony. And also he keeps spending nights at the Curtis' even tho his house is available and his situation isn't so bad or volatile as Johnny or Steve's. Huh. Weird, lol. Anyway, about this latest Paul Newman movie.

Happy 80th birthday pop star Rod Stewart.

A bit late with my posts today, was had a busy morning.

Although born in London Rod's father was Scottish and he counts himself as a Scot. Stewart performed in several bands in the 1960s including Python Lee Jackson and The Faces. He worked a series of odd jobs, including working as a grave digger, before his singing career took off

Embarking on a solo career, Maggie May became his first hit single in 1971 Stewart moved to the United States in 1975. The next year, he reached the top of the U.S. charts with "Tonight's the Night" from A Night on the Town. Stewart continued to have a slicker, more pop sound as the decade progressed. He also developed a reputation for his partying lifestyle and for dating numerous actresses and models. With 1978's Blondes Have More Fun, he had another smash hit single with "Do Ya Think I'm Sexy?"

The 1980s proved to be more challenging for Stewart. While 1981's Tonight I'm Yours went platinum, the albums that followed did not fare as well. He ended the decade on a positive note, however. His remake of the Tom Waits song "Downtown Train" in 1989 received a lot of radio play. A few years later, he released Unplugged and Seated (1993), which was recorded at MTV Unplugged concert and featured the hit "Have I Told You Lately."

Shannon blinks, face still for a moment.

“Jane,” she repeats. A small smile creeps onto her face. “I like Jane.”

Buck exhales, relieved. “Oh, good. I mean, there are other variants. Janette. Jean.”

“No,” Shannon shakes her head. “I like Jane. I’ll mention it to Eddie.”

Whoa.

“Cool,” Buck shrugs, playing it down. “That’s cool.”

Shannon moves to open the Jeep passenger door. “How’d you know any of that anyway?”

Great question. 

“Oh, you know… I go on the occasional research binge when presented with a question,” Buck says. “I get curious.”

“Research binge?” Shannon smiles.

Buck shrugs as he buckles himself into the driver’s seat. 

“I like learning.”

“I think that’s a really good trait,” she replies. 

Buck has to take a big, steadying breath. He feels dangerously close to something for Shannon. Something he is very much not allowed to feel.

She tells him about work on the drive back to her place. It seems Shannon is almost in exactly the opposite of Buck’s position. If Buck is being kept away from the work he loves because of his stupid leg, Shannon is stuck in a job she hates, despite the discomfort it currently brings her. Typing endlessly isn’t great for her shoulder. Her boss seems to have little empathy for her pregnancy or her shoulder injury. On top of it all, the administrative work means nothing to her. 

“But I am literally not qualified for anything else,” she explains.

Buck understands that well enough. He gets how hard it is with no education .Before the fire academy, he had no real qualifications. Other than mixology school. Which went a long way in applying to bars, but he still realized he was getting hired largely for his looks. 

“What did you want to do?” Buck asks. “Before?”

There’s no need to specify what before means. Before Chris. 2010 B.C. He has his own before, too. Even though it’s way less serious. Before he left home.

He still has to figure out how and when to do that. He’s already got a sort of sappy speech in mind, though. 

He can only search for engagement rings today because Buck and Chris are at the zoo. Just the two of them. Something that has been happening more and more lately. Not that they didn’t spend one-on-one time before. They always did. Just since Buck and Eddie started dating, the priority has been doing things as a family. And it still is, to a large degree. 

Chris calling Buck his second dad and Eddie asking Buck if he wanted a second kid changed things, just a little. Buck asked for more time, just them two. 

“If he feels that way about me, I-I don’t want him to think I don’t feel the same way, and if we do have another kid, I don’t want him to think he’s like just my stepson, compared to the new baby, so-”

“Oh my god,” Eddie had interrupted. “You do not need to ask. Do what you want to do, he’ll love it.”

So they’re at the zoo. There’s a special exhibit about bugs. It’s not a travesty that Eddie is home googling men’s ring cuts. 

He thinks he’s settled on the kind of style he’s going to go for - if not the actual ring itself - when the doorbell rings. Eddie isn’t expecting anyone. It wouldn’t be Maddie or Chim, because of the baby. Maybe Bobby? Or Hen? Eddie really doesn’t know.

He closes his laptop, finishes a final sip of coffee, and crosses the house to answer the door.

The last person on earth he’s expecting to see is his father. 

Okay, maybe his mother is a smidge less likely. But still. His father is at the bottom of the list of anticipated visitors, right there with Pedro Pascal and Daniel Craig. 

“Dad?” Eddie’s eyes nearly bulge out of his head. “What the hell are you doing here?”

It comes off a bit harsher than intended. Wait, no. Scratch that. It’s exactly the right level of harshness. What the hell is he doing here?

Ramon looks nervous. His eyes are wide and sort of pleading. His hands are wrung together in front of him like an upside down prayer.

“Eddie!” He exclaims, voice shaky. “Hi.”

“What the hell?” Eddie asks again. 

“I was… Can we talk?” Ramon asks a little weakly. 

“Why didn’t you, I don’t know, call me?” Eddie demands. 

“I didn’t think you’d answer.”

Probably true.

“Why didn’t you leave a damn voicemail? Maybe a text?” Eddie tries.

“I didn’t think you’d return the call.”

Eddie’s lip twitches.

“Please, Edmundo. It’s been two years. I just want to talk.”

“Seven,” Eddie corrects. 

“What?” Ramon asks. “No. It was 2019.”

“Oh, I’m aware,” Eddie replies.

“Because you were sad,” Christopher says.

“Because I made you sad.”

“No,” Eddie shakes his head. “I made me sad. And then I went to a lot of therapy, and that made me sort of sad, too.”

Christopher processes this for a second. Eddie makes no move to turn on the truck. They can stay here as long as they need. 

“Isn’t therapy supposed to make you happy?” Chris asks eventually.

Eddie chuckles. “Ideally, yeah. It is. But sometimes it makes you more sad for a bit, first.”

“That doesn’t make any sense,” Christopher retorts. 

“Uh, it kind of does when you think of it like… Like a broken bone.” Eddie tries.

“A broken bone?” Chris asks. 

“Mhm,” Eddie nods. “Sometimes, you break a bone in a weird way. And in order for it to heal right, the surgeon has to break it again, so they can put it back in the right position.”

“Ew,” Chris wrinkles his nose.

“Yeah,” Eddie admits. 

“Or like having someone cut into my gums to make my mouth eventually feel better?” Chris asks.

“Exactly. Yeah.”

“Okay,” Chris says. He’s quiet again for a while. Eddie still doesn’t turn on the truck. Then… “What bone did you have to rebreak, or whatever?”

Yeah.

Yeah, they were always going to get here sooner or later. Eddie kind of hoped later. Post-surgery. While Buck wasn’t at work and could come by to resuscitate him if he keeled over. 

“A lot of things, really,” Eddie admits. “I think I had a lot of bones heal wrong.”

“That’s kind of sad.”

“Yeah.”

It is kind of sad. Eddie is learning to be sad for himself these days. Not just with himself. 

“Can you tell me one?” Chris asks.

They need to address Bo’s trauma

Alright so this is going to be a super long essay about Bo’s trauma as I have been doing some research for the next chapters of my fic Mind Games. I went through her background and thought I would share with you my headcanons surrounding that. I especially realized that with her deaging came quite heavy consequences and thought we could discuss them. 

There are of course going to be HUGE TRIGGER WARNINGS : Grief, Grooming, SA, anxiety, depression, s*ic*de. DISCLAIMER I am no therapist so this is just me drawing from some of my how experiences with trauma and doing some researches online. 

Please know your limits and do not attempt to read this if you feel uneasy around those topics, I wouldn’t want to trigger anyone. Same goes with the potential comments that will be left under this post

So first, I’ll start with the implications of deaging Bo-Katan as they did. When we watch Clone Wars, we are led to understand that she is Satine’s younger sister but there are no indications on her age. If we think about it logically, there would probably be around an age gap of maximum 5 years between them. However, as many already pointed out, it would mean that she’d be around 60 years old in the third season of the Mandalorian. I watched a few of Katee Sackhof’s interview where she was saying that Bo-Katan was way younger that many thought she was. Indeed, with her being cast for Bo and Rosario Dawson for Ahsoka, I figured that it probably that the two were probably around the same age in CW, hence them becoming “friends” starting 7th season. It thus means that she probably was in her late teens or early twenties. However, the directors’ decision to deage her has quite huge implications : 

 Headcanons : 

* First of all, it means that there was quite a huge age gap between Satine and her sister: 15 to 20 years approximately

· We figured from the first episodes of season 3 that Bo-Katan has known her Dad and that he fought and died in the Great Mandalorian civil war. There was no mention of her mom so I just assume she died in childbirth of during the civil war as well. 

·  When her dad died, Satine became duchess of Mandalore and probably didn’t have time to personally take care of such a young sister, especially considering that she went under Qui-Gon and Obi Wan’s protection. The latter never met her so it means that she probably stayed on Mandalore with her nannies or relatives, witnessing the horros of the Civil war. She probably felt abandoned by her sister. She probably wished the war to end as soon as possible (some have theorized that her dad probably taught her how to fight so she probably wasn’t scared of using violence to defend her planet), explaining why she never understood why her sister was a pacifist.

· I am a strong believer in Satine being Korkie’s mom (I mean there is no third sister). So it means that Bo-Katan was probably a child when her big sister got pregnant with Obi-Wan. Probably, she witnessed her sister going into hidding to have her baby to try and not become a pariah. I figure this would explain Bo-Katan’s resentment against Jedis and particularly Obi-Wan as he didn’t reach out to her sister nor stepped up for her nephew (with whom there isn’t such a big age gap)

·       So, I have seen this theory going around the internet and read it in some fanfics. It makes sense to me and would explain many things in Bo-Katan’s behaviour. THIS IS WHERE THE TW BEGINS (Grooming) : I figured that Bo-Katan probably met Pre Vizsla after the civil war as he was part of the clan of the enemy. He probably quickly became her mentor, an authority figure that she felt like could replace her dad (she definitely has daddy issues). He probably made her feel understood and special, filling the whole of her parents and Satine’s absence. I honestly believe in the grooming theory saying that he manipulated her into a relationship and death watch to take over the throne of Mandalore taking advantage of her status as the duchess’ sister (as he knew it would humiliate the latter). 

·        TW (SA) Bo probably became very secretive and broke contact with her sister, probably experiencing quite a lot of anxiety : as groomed individuals cannot give consent she was victim of SA. One proof of that would be that “imfamous” butt slap she gave Ahsoka upon meeting her (which is also SA). This sexualized behaviour is not appropriate for a teen or young adult. 

*        Her exposure to this type of trauma probably made her feel like she felt invicible to danger and that is when she developed a violent, criminal behaviour (let’s not forget she participated in the burning of a village and the enslavement of its inhabitants). 

·        Then Pre Vizsla died by the hands of Darth Maul and she started feeling  grief but also probably self doubt, being hit with what she had done and went back to her sister.  She did horrible things while in DW and probably enjoyed them back then through her broken perception of things.

·        Then Satine died and she felt guilty for her death because obviously she she betrayed her. This changed her deeply as she was bombarded with her overwhelming feelings of blame, regret, guilt and confusion, probably struggling with TW drug or alcohol abuse, self harm or suicidal thoughts. 

·        She ended up leading her people, most of them probably hating her for what happened to their planet, Pre Vizsla and her sister, for Maul and of course later, the Purge… She was not her sister and I don’t think that she had ever thought through becoming the duchess of Mandalore. She definitely wanted the power but probably was not ready for that responsibility. Her people respected her because she was royalty, nothing more. They did not have love for her, nor respect : hence why they all left her once she didn’t have the darksaber anymore.

·        All those events had a huge impact on her adult life considering she had lost the majority of people she cared for and struggled to build strong and healthy relationships

She definitely struggles to be vulnerable around others tie that scene with Grogu where she asks him what he is looking at in episode 2) 

·        When it comes to romantic relationships, I picture her having an avoidant attachment style used her sex appeal as a tool to manipulate men AND women (we stan a bisexual queen), to feel in control. I feel like if she started feeling someone catching feelings for her, she would flee (that’s probably what happened with Axe as many of us assume that he was in love with her and was her ex FWB because of his bitterness and her reluctance when talking about him). 

 ·        When it comes to her relationship with Din (sorry I’m a Dinbo shipper) I feel like when she met him he struck her as really different to the other guys she met : 

-first because she had been forced to reflect on her past and draw lessons from it while she was alone on Sundary for two years

-then because he wore a helmet : so she did not see his face and struggled to sexualize him which forced her to focus on who he is inside and really bond with him on an intimate level (here I speak of real emotional intimacy and not sex)

- because he, himself, did not consider her as a piece of meat (I picture Din as asexual or demi-sexual) and he quickly showed her he cared about her and not her title, showing true loyalty to her for the first time in forever (except from her relationship with Ursa Wren and Ahsoka, I assume she didn’t have very deep friendships, most of them probably being shallow)

-because of Grogu, Din is starting to shift from an avoidant attachment style to a secure one and is way less guarded than in the first season

-so I guess she is intriged by this new form of intimacy with him, the way she feels at ease with him and not feel like she need to be hypervigilant (the scene in the cave where they sit super close shows that). Both of them lost their parents quite young and I feel like it could be a shared experience they could bond over or already have unconsciously. 

When it comes to her relationship with Ahsoka :

Five Common Anxieties of Newbie Writers, Demystified

A simple post for today to address common concerns I have seen from younger writers over the years, which includes:

"Everyone else is so much better than me; I'm behind."

"I can't share my writing or someone will steal my idea."

"I am in direct competition with other writers; their gain is my loss."

"I shouldn't read while writing because it will ruin my unique voice."

"If I don't explain everything in meticulous detail, people won't understand my vision."

As always, this is my experience and my opinion as someone who has been writing seriously for about 15 years and reading, well, since I was a tiny baby. I also have several years of experience tutoring younger writers at both the K-12 and collegiate level.

Here goes!

1. "Everyone else is so much better than me; I'm behind."

You are not behind. Even if you start writing in your 60s, you are not behind. That's because there is no such thing as being behind in writing; you are where you are, and you'll only get further if you keep going.

Of course you're not going to write like Brandon Sanderson, or Tolkien, or Stephen King, or whoever when you're 20, because you're twenty. You just got out of high school two years ago and haven't even graduated college! These writers have decades on you and are naturally going to be better because they have had more time to learn.

Comparison is the thief of joy. You will not be happy if you are always comparing to yourself to every other writer and bemoaning your lack of experience.

As I have said multiple times throughout my blog, I encourage you to try to write 1 million words before you even think about publishing anything. Do fanfic, because then you can't publish it and you know you're just practicing. You will likely look back at where you started, with your first story, and go, "oh thank god I didn't try to publish that. I wasn't anywhere near ready."

And even then, you still will not be behind, because there's no one track toward success in publishing. You are just where you need to be right now, and you'll keep going where you need to go as long as you keep writing.

2. "I can't share my writing or someone will steal my idea."

I have seen a lot of this on writing subreddits. People will ask questions, but be intentionally vague about their plot because they are worried about someone else filching their idea and making it their own. However, they will refuse to share nearly anything useful, making it impossible to answer their question with any specificity.

Now yes, theft does happen. There was a horrendous story recently where an agent stole one of their author's ideas to give to another author, who then published faster because the agent had left Author 1 in Revision Hell on purpose. I'm not saying it never happens.

But the thing is that it is not the idea that makes any story special, it is the execution.

My Eirenic Verses series centers around poetry magic. That's the whole gimmick. But poetry magic has been done before to great effect by several other authors! There's a book called The Poet Empress out on sub that I'm hoping and praying will get published because I want to read it; everything about this story sounds AMAZING.

From the blurb, this book is vastly different from my own, which is a great thing. Both of us came up with this concept and took it in unique directions, giving readers more options for engage with poetry magic in completely different ways. And I love that!

Don't worry too much about people stealing your ideas. After all, your idea has been done dozens of times before already, even if you haven't been able to find an exact copy of the plot. We are all riffing off ancient plot forms and tales.

3. "I am in direct competition with other writers; their gain is my loss."

The joy of reading books is that you can read hundreds in a year if you want to. It is not like car sales, where people buy one single car every few years.

People buy books that they don't even intend to read; how many of us have dozens of books in our TBR pile that we'll probably never get to?

Yes, it's possible to lose out on competitions or publishing slots to other writers, but that is the nature of the economy, not the fault of any other writer. Placing yourself in opposition to a well-respected writer, especially one in your same niche, does you no favors.

Other writers are your peers, not your antagonists. No matter what you are writing, no one will do it quite like you, so you shouldn't worry if someone else's story is somewhat like yours. That just means that there is overlap between your audiences, and you should support them even more so that people like both of you.

The best way to be successful is to build community. People support those that they like and who are nice to them.

4. "I shouldn't read while writing because it will ruin my unique voice."

Your 'unique voice' is a mishmash of every other writer you have ever read because that is how learning works. You have absorbed the lessons of every other book you've put before your eyes (or into your ears), picked out what you liked, and left the rest. So yes, you do have a unique voice, but it is based on other writers, and the more you read, the more you refine that voice.

My favorite authors are Emile Zola, Willa Cather, Emily Dickinson, William Carlos Williams, Robert Frost, China Mieville, Terry Prachett, and Herman Melville. As a child, my favorite books were the Redwall series and The Unicorn Chronicles. My favorite nonfiction series is The Inspired Traveller's Guides by Sarah Baxter.

You can find all of those influences in my work, but you can also find dozens of other authors I have loved throughout my life. There are books that still haunt me today whose titles I can't even remember, just the concept or a specific scene.

My writing voice has become so strong because I like so many different kinds of writing and I have synthesized them all together. I learn something from every single book I read, even if it's just what not to do.

You can't become a strong writer if you don't read. It's essential to developing your voice. The more you read, the more you develop your voice, and the more that you can resist the urge to completely change your style based on what you are currently reading.

But you can only get to the point of having a strong, coherent voice by reading. So don't shy away from it.

5. "If I don't explain everything in meticulous detail, people won't understand my vision."

Here's a brutal truth: it doesn't matter whether other people see exactly what you see in your work. What matters is that they enjoyed what they saw. No one is going to have your exact same vision unless you turn your book into a movie.

Everyone's journey through a given book is influenced by their own life experiences. For example, if you asked a French person to describe a castle, they are going to say something completely different than what a Japanese person would say. What an Indian person envisions when you say "sword" is going to differ from what an English person thinks about. And that is fine and good!

You do not need to put your reader in a chokehold and make sure that they are seeing exactly what you see. This can be a huge turnoff to readers, especially if you do not present things in the proper order, because now they are constantly having to revise their setting with the new details you are providing.

Here, for example, is a description from my first book, 9 Years Yearning:

Every few steps, he ran across another example of a High Poet's work: ostentatious stone structures with smooth stucco sides, dramatic depictions of wild animals and fantastical beasts jutting from their surface. Others were more sculpture than home, tiny pebbles that slotted together to make a swirling mass of windows and doors. Goldnin, being one of the more well-heeled cities, had many wealthy merchants more than willing to spill quillim for a poetry-infused property.

Everyone who reads this is going to see different "wild animals" and "fantastical beasts." They are going to imagine the pebbles as different colors; maybe one person thinks they're all different shades that make gradations, while another wants them all to be tiny chips of quartz that sparkle in the sun.

I am fine with this. A story is a scaffold to allow readers to adorn with their own imagination, creating a personalized experience. I have given the reader some specific elements but left the rest vague so that they can envison what they want, and I'm okay with it not being exactly what I intended.

Once you have put a story out into the world, you're done interpreting it for the reader. It is now theirs to enjoy. They can do whatever they want with it, just like you can go buy something from the store and spraypaint it neon orange if you want to.

Your job is not to grab the reader by the face and tell them what you want them to see; it is to provide enough detail that they can see what they want to see. Giving up ownership like this allows you to make a story that isn't oversaturated with detail but still enables readers to have fun with it.

I hope this helped to ease some of your fears about writing. The most important part is to have fun, relax, and continue to learn all the time!
