#fun story: in 2018 we went to interview ex-president jimmy carter #and I had a bit of an odd feeling in my throat #august 24 2018 i remember that date well #because that was the first signs of an illness that annihilated me #i blacked out for most of the month of september- i only have very sparse memories #i had a strange kind of pneumonia the doctor hadn't seen before #and over those 6-7 months they threw every single anti-anything they could at me #IDK if I slept so well because of the knockout effects of all the antibiotics and antivirals #or because I had a recurring fever and a chronic brutal cough for 6-7 months and was terribly weak by the end #but i was sleeping so deeply the more pills they added #and now i know i can function with a 102 fever on and off for months on end #everyone- family and coworkers- also made fun of me for insisting on wearing a mask but guess what bitches #when the pandemic rolled around i still had 2 unopened boxes from being sick a year before and those were worth more than toilet paper #lita #love in the air #prapai #sky #prapaisky #true facts: I don't remember writing one of my own fics #it was during the blackout month and i refuse to read it because i think it's funnier that i don't know what it's about #i also had to work- it was one of our biggest events that we do every 4 years #two weeks straight of 14 hour days with no weekends #and i was there every single day #i have no memory whatsoever and when we did the event again in 2022 the organizers kept saying 'oh wow you're alive!'#i like to say i had the BEST time because it's a tedious af event and everyone is surly by the end #but from MY pov i was trapped in dense fog and couldn't breathe; trapped in that twilight feeling when you're neither awake nor unconscious #and then when it passed I had a nice paycheck in my account without any of the mental strain of working for it #watch

i was clearing out my notes app (because finally getting a new phone yay!) and this entry from 2022 is so heartbreaking

#2 years and 1 even worse situationship later im still too much i still want too much need too much have there are claw marks #jn everything that ive been forced to let go of lol #saving this for later so hopefully idk 2 more years later someday ill be just enough for somebody #there's a whole list of reasons titled ' why we shouldn't get back together' my heart breaks for younger me #i mean i know i was still quite old at 19 but it was first ever heartbreak for me and i was so dilgent in getting over it #i kinda think that was the healthiest grieving ive done for a person not like perfect because i still fuckef up #and failed my exams and fell 6 months behind but still i let myself FEEL #all these recent ones are just one layered on top of another i see something that reminds me of someone and i break down lol #i begged and begged for a new phone but wow this phone has soo many memories it's been with me #from july 2020. lmao lasted longer than pretty much all my relationships #baby me made such a compelling argument logical fact based about why we shouldn't get back together #i used to be so earnest and obsessed with making myself better maybe it was self centered but it was better than #the self loathing dirtbag ive become. what happened to u girl #save

#tales from diana #my riverside 1973 is still my beloved baby but she's really worse for the wear these days #i didn't start thinking about it till i got one for my friend like 6 months ago for his bday #and i kept looking at it and being like oh wow. his doesn't have all the scratches and rips mine does #mine is still BETTER obviously bc it's MINE. it's in worse condition objectively but it's MINE #making it the best copy in existence. to me #and it was my aunt's textbook at boston college. my grandmother let me have it. i think of it as a family heirloom #and the coating on the front cover side of the spine has been slowly tearing off :(#like there's one long vulnerable rip almost all the way down. idk how to prevent it from breaking further #other than just by not using it. and idk how to fix it wo making it potentially worse #i didn't know how to take care of old gigantic books when i got it at 19. i never considered it #i hadn't had one before. but now im more experienced #and im also just curious about what's inside other editions. especially newer ones #i only have 6 plays and at least 3 of them i plan to read in a copy other than the riverside #like my 23 plays and sonnets (1953) edited by t. m. parrot has 2 and another play im gonna borrow from library lending #and id definitely wanna get rid of a lottttt of books i have right now before getting a new one #im already planning on which books to donate when i declutter #and i need to declutter my books DESPERATELY. so so desperately #it'd just be nice to have another complete works in my collection. for a number of reasons.#that way i also suppose ill have two big books of shakespeare for auntie diana to pass down someday #i don't plan on getting one soon im just in the contemplative phase. but boy am i tempted

there’s so much i wanna do this week/month/etc but i’m just too sick, i have no energy, i can’t sleep, i’m constantly nauseous and headachey and on the verge of a migraine, i’m stressed and irritable and impatient and panicky…….how tf did i survive nearly 5 years of high school untreated if i can’t even manage this when i don’t have any major obligations rn

#at least i finally got my meds so hopefully i feel a little better soon #although i’m now on 20 pills per day which is Just Great #whenever i’m in remission it’s nice to just. forget sometimes that this can happen at any time #kinda wish i had the typical kinda chronic illness that people talk about with ‘flares’#or at least triggers that i can plan around #the other times have all had an easily identifiable stressor tho tbf. idk what caused this one #the first time was whooping cough and the next few were all very major life stressors like my cat dying right after i started uni #and i think also towards the end of my honours thesis?#but this…….there’s no major stress right now. nothing wildly beyond normal #i’m a little concerned about my joints tho. they’ve been so much worse than normal the last few months #so i’m kinda worried i’m developing rheumatoid arthritis (also an autoimmune disease and it runs in the family specifically)#so if that’s happening then it could set my thyroid off? probably should get to the doctor at some point #obv i’m seeing my endo for thyroid stuff. but i should see my gp and get her to run all the autoimmune blood tests again #i’ve done that before but it’s been a few years and my ankles and knees are so painful i can’t even walk properly a lot of the time #BUT I JUST WANNA DO THINGS I ENJOY AND I CANT AND I WILL CONTINUE TO COMPLAIN ABOUT IT #‘oh you’re so lucky you don’t have as many obligations because you’re chronically ill’ ha ha ha please swap lives with me immediately #personal #but seriously. i wasn’t diagnosed until i was nearly 17 and we can trace it back to whooping cough when i was 12 #so it was the last half of year 6 and then all of years 7-10 and the start of year 11 of just being. uh. ‘very lazy and complaining a lot’#and TEACHERS joking about me and my sister (who was dealing with an arguably more severe undiagnosed disease) missing so many classes #wow so funny pdhpe teacher who’s supposed to be teaching is about health #and the thing with being a mentally ill teenager is that hyperthyroidism can just look like a very severe anxiety disorder #so i didn’t go to the dr until i was too sick to go to school at all. and luckily had a good dr who did a blood test #i’m just rambling now because i can’t sleep and i don’t wanna lie here doing nothing #might go play pvz or something. that’s been keeping me entertained

several days and 15 thousand words later, i am relieved to report that the suffocating urge to Write Something has been sated and no longer has me in a chokehold

#Seven.txt #writing stuff #thinking of that post that’s like ‘u Have To make art or all the ideas stay stuck in ur brain and make u sick’ bc yeah thats been the vibe #wish i wasn’t so all or nothing about it tho. but alas. i’m that way with everything in my life #i either expect 10k in a day from myself or i don’t write at all for weeks. or months :)#and my average pace is about 500 words per hour. so u can see. how that might be a problem. given how many hours are in a day.#and that’s obviously not sustainable. but idk if it’s adhd or what but it’s So hard to quickly start and stop tasks just Whenever #i struggle to be one of those ppl that can consistently write like. 500 words a day every day and then wow! soon you have a whole novel #nah. once i get myself in the Zone then i’m Goin’ and i can’t stop until i’m Done or i collapse from ignoring my body’s needs lmao #it’s something i should make an effort to do though bc i’d love to be consistently chipping away at things instead of working in bursts #anyways this is a lotta negative self-commentary for what is actually a Positive post! bc yay!! i wrote a thing!! A few days ago I started thinking about getting a bridge piercing. I have a feeling it might look good on me idk. Since then it is like I have a phantom piercing in my face like I can feel it there grounding me but it is not there: it is all just air.

its common on letterboxd for people to say they wish they had a sixth star for some movies well obviously they cant just change to a 6 star rating system but my genius free idea for the website is that every user should get a limited number of extra stars. like if you want you can rate a movie 6 stars but you can only do it a couple times. so its still a 6/5 rating.

if they want to make money they could either make this feature patron only or just give patrons a few more extra stars. i think this will fix the website

#it could be fun to see if people use their limited stars so often for the same movies that some films could have an over 5 star avg.#and youd know like wow people REALLY love this one this is special #or you could get people using their extra stars to boost a panned movie that they love.#like ive seen a bunch of people rate some movies 5 stars just to pull up the average when they only liked it around a 4 #idk. give the people 6th stars just make it limited so we dont end up w a 6 star system where people say they want a 7th star lol #avpost #if you want real chaos you can give everyone a limited amt of extra stars but they can double up on one movie #like if you give everyone 3 extra stars. they could give 3 movies 6 stars. or one movie could get 8 stars.#this one would be less useful i think though #this idea is free i just want it to happen. maybe gift me the option to do custom posters and ill call it even.

this is a very venty post don't mind me :D

that nintendo direct was so horrible.

it was literally like 80 percent remakes and remasters.

never in my life have i seen an announcement video exist just to say "every game you've ever known since the 90s is being remade/remastered, sorry, we ran out of originality".

literally like all the video game market is anymore is remakes and the movie industry is just as bad.

the nso releases are fine because they're not like, remakes taking up full game slots. they're old games that are being made accessible and that's great... but there's no need to remake this many games when they can do that. remakes used to be rare. remember stuff like the wii u shop and stuff? with all the games they had on those things? now it's a tiny selection and everything else is a remake :/

also I feel like a lot of new rpgs are just like... lowkey fe knockoffs now instead of original rpgs.

i'm happy for like... two existing remakes, but one of them is mario rpg which people wanted waaaaAAAAAYYYY before the remake and remaster era, and the other is baten kaitos which im not actually happy about remaster-wise (the updated ui is trash, they took out very specific charms of the original ui), just happy that it will get more recognition/notice from people since it was never popular.

they also completely removed the english voice acting which like okay yeah it wasn't always that great but the voices fit perfectly and it wasn't as bad as fans meme on it for! it just sounded like they were talking through a tube and that was actually the worst part of it lol.

someone suggested to me that they may have just lost the data for it, but idk. i wish they'd just admit that somehow if it was the case, because it bugs me that the english audio is just completely gone when ultimately i really liked it. i wanted the game to be accessible to newer players, sure, but i also wanted the english audio there. ig that's because i grew up with it and i liked it, but it's still such a bummer for me!

paper mario being put on the nso and tyd getting a whole remaster does make me sad tho bc it feels like they're leaving the original in the dust when it was so good. if you're gonna do tyd, at least do them both.

good for innersloth though, i'm sure they never imagined being on a nintendo direct. they're the real winners here.

I go in the car I play PoR (I don't drive lol)#but anyway yeah I'm just tired of every single Direct having FE fans being annoying as fuck #also ppl were apparently legit like omg the new banner coming means fe4 remake will be on the direct #oh my goooooddddd stfu at this point I just don't want it remade bc i am 💅 p e t t y 💅 bc ppl are so annoying abt this #when a leak for a new game came out (engage) from a very reputable source ppl knocked it and called it ''obviously fake''#(the joke is now not just ON them but IS them) but then when they got a ''leak'' abt an fe4 remake they ate it up #like wow lol. wow. they won't believe anything unless you say fe4 remake then suddenly they believe anything you say abt that alone #it's rly sad that my favorite game has become a cesspool of annoying fe fans #the thing is fe doesn't come out with a whole lot of remakes. it never has #it's just that when gaiden got a remake ppl have NOT shut the fuck up ever since #and I've seen ppl saying every game under the sun should be remade #frankly if they remake anything right now it should be poor fucking shadow dragon (yes. the remake.)#anyway most of y'all know how annoyed i get abt this lol like yeah maybe someday fe4 could get remade but #it's the fact that the modern day fans are SO fucking annoying about it now. back ten or so years ago fe4 fans were just happy TO play it #we were just happy to have it at all even in emulated form and it being an snes game #we loved it as it was and didn't bitch about it bc it wasn't uwu modern enough (and i've played casual mode since new mystery)#now ppl are just like oh i like it but i don't want to play it unless it's remade
