Year 3000 by Jonas Brothers. LMFAOOOOO. I really don't need to explain this one at all, do I, besties? WE'RE ALL ON THE SAME PAGE, RIGHT? I could literally go to war with this song as my soundtrack.

Hotel Room Service by Pitbull. MR 305!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Pitbull is 90% of my personality, and I won't be taking any further questions. You can't possibly be in a bad mood while listening to this BANGER.

Levitating by Dua Lipa. I've mentioned this fun fact a few times, so it's pretty well-known. But in my fic Vapor, when Max was bobbin' his head and vibing out to a song in the club, it was this one. We love Dua Lipa in this house.

Layla by DJ Robin, Schürze. GOD. This is a fucking BANGER. If you don't speak German, please be advised that the lyrics are very much NSWF 😂😂😂 do yourself a favor and look them up before you go around blasting it. (But don't let that stop you from blasting it. It deserves to be played at an 11.) I first heard this song on a crowded train from Munich to Vienna and was losing my fucking shit. I desperately tried translating it for my best friend, but I was laughing and vibing too hard.

The Next Episode by Dr. Dre feat Snoop Dogg. Look. It's a classic. It will always get me out of my head.

I'm Not Okay (I Promise) by My Chemical Romance. It was never a phase, mom!!!!!!!!!!!!! This song is just? So fucking good? It's one of my go-to songs when I pick up my dusty guitar. I do a pretty sick cover of it if I do say so myself. When I was home for Christmas, I got my 8yo niece listening to it. You're welcome, bro!

C'mon, C'mon by One Direction. In my last post, I said I could make the entire thing about 5SOS... well, this post could literally just be 1D's discography for me. 1D is filled with so many happy memories for me. Particularly this song.

Masterlist

Winter Wonderland (first part)

The ballroom was decorated perfectly with silver trees and fake snow. The centerpieces on the tables were of frosted mason jars with sprigs of holly fastened around the lip with twine. A fake candle lit inside created the perfect evening glow. 

Fairy lights were strung across the wooden banisters and the DJ was setting up his things while across the street you were getting ready final touches of your make-up done. It’s three o’clock on December 28 and your wedding is in an hour. 

A gentle cry disrupts the lulled excitement in the air and you excuse yourself from the make-up chair to check on your daughter, Adah Joy. 

Just shy of seven months, Adah is the exact replica of Calum. With perfect round cheeks, rosebud shaped lips and dark curly hair, you both fell in love upon meeting her. 

After Calum proposed to you last year near Christmas, it wasn’t long after that you discovered you were pregnant. With joining him on tour and then moving in with him you had noticed your period was late but took it as stress. You and Calum decided to get married after she was born so it wouldn’t add stress to the pregnancy.

On June first, you welcomed little Adah into the world and you couldn’t be happier. 

“Hey pretty one,” you coo at her lifting her in your arms. She’d just woken up from a nap which means she’ll be awake for the wedding. “It’s almost time to see daddy.”

You attack her cheeks with kisses ignoring the make-up artist huffing about your lipstick getting smeared. The photographer captured every moment and even the remnants of your lipstick on Adah’s cheeks.

When the last button on your dress was fastened and the pearl clip was placed in your hair and Adah was in her flower girl dress, it was time to meet Calum at the end of the aisle. You stood off to the side of the wide oak front doors, the smell of roses and freesia welcoming you into the ceremony room. You blinked away your tears as Duke pulled Adah in a decorated carriage down the aisle. 

A collective ‘aww!’ echoed to your ears followed by a little bark from Duke as he probably hurried along to meet Calum. Adah’s excited squeal was the last thing you heard as the doors closed and it was your turn to walk down the aisle.

The music changed to your processional and you took your place behind the oak doors. With a final breath, they swung wide and you saw your life at the end of the aisle; Calum looking extremely handsome in his black armani suit holding Adah. He points to you before looking up and his face freezes. 

Time slows and yet the walk to him is fast because you want to hold his hand and be married already. He pinches the corners of his eyes with his thumb and pointer finger a few times and when you’re finally, finally standing next to him, you reach up and swipe away an escaped tear.

The rest of your wedding night was exceptional. The three of you danced all night and Calum even requested a special father-daughter dance for him and Adah. You had to dab at your eyes a few times because the way Adah looks at Calum it’s like he hung the sun and the moon. He looked at her the same way. 

Now, you’re back home with your heels in your hand and Calum behind you carrying a sleepy Adah in his arms. She was a trooper for being up so well past her bedtime, but she was a very good baby. 

“Are you sure you don’t want my mom to take her?” You ask quietly tossing your shoes to the side of the fridge. Duke scampers to his food and water bowl, when you turn around Calum is hanging his suit jacket on the hook by the door. “She’ll be up by 7:30.”

“I want to spend tonight with both my girls,” he smiles grabbing Adah’s hand pretending to eat it. She giggles sleepily at her father’s antics. 

“You’re the best husband,” you praise stretching up on your bare feet to kiss him. 

“You’re the best wife,” he mumbles capturing your lips once more. 

The kiss warms you all the way to your toes then Adah lets out a disgruntled whine causing you both to stop the kiss. 

“How about I give this little one her bath,” Calum suggests slipping his arm around your waist, “put her to bed and then we take a nice bath of our own?”

“Great idea Mr. Hood,” you smile slyly popping open another button of his shirt. 

“Shall we?” he quirked an eyebrow tossing his head to the right indicating the bathroom. 

You walk hand in hand with your husband down the hall to the bathroom across Adah’s nursery, your dress swishing with every step. 

“Let’s get you all clean and cozy,” Calum tells Adah who is staring up at him dark brown eyes that resemble his. “And daddy will sing your song, yeah?” 

He kisses her forehead while you grab her pajamas from the bathroom counter and he undresses her. 

“I’ve got it baby,” he grins at you when you pass him her baby soap, “don’t want you getting your dress wet. Go get our bath started.”

“I will in a minute.”

You lean against the doorframe watching him converse with your baby, Adah is paying attention to him like she knows exactly what he’s saying. And maybe she does, even though you carried her for nine months she’s been a daddy’s girl since day one. 

Whenever she cried after you brought her home, he leapt up so fast before you could even think of what was wrong with her. He loved changing her diaper because that’s when he’d have his “talking to” with her. 

“Your mama did so well with you in her belly, try not to cry so loud, okay? She needs her sleep too so she can take care of you the best way. I won’t tell her you ruined this onesie--you’re so small and eat so little, how did you poop so much?!”

He didn’t think you’d heard him but you did and it was one of your favorite dad moments. He loves laying on the couch with her on his bare chest, his rough but gentle fingers play with her dark curls as they watch movies. He loves choosing her outfit, especially the tiny baby bucket hats. 

“It’s too big for her!” you’d complained on the fourth of July as he plopped a denim bucket hat on her head. 

“It’ll protect her from the sun! And besides, we match.”

He grinned at you deviously as he placed his own denim bucket hat on his head. 

“You look like such a dad,” you snorted taking in his outfit. He had on a red tank top with white shorts and with his chain hanging loosely around his neck? Total dad. 

For Halloween he came home with three matching outfits of the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles. When you saw the baby one for Adah there was no way you’d say no, even though you secretly wanted to dress her up as a ladybug. The three of you got so many compliments on the costumes and your baby turtle, the shit eating grin Calum gave you for a week after wasn’t that annoying. 

“Hey, Mrs. Hood,” Calum pulls you from your bank of memories. 

“What?”

“I’ve got her, sweetheart, go start our bath. I’ll be there in ten minutes,” he promises. 

“Okay, okay!” you sigh tossing your hands up in the air and push off the doorframe.  

“Hey, babe!”

“Yeah?” you spin around. 

“Keep your dress on,” his eyes twinkle mischievously while he hefts Adah against his chest with a fluffy towel. “It’s my job to take it off you tonight.”

Another year has gone by and all the kids are another year older, all except Mylo who is only five months old and experiencing his first Christmas.

The house has gotten a little extra loud now and with four kids it definitely became more hectic. Fletcher always make sure to help out as much as a five year old can. His role of big brother never ceased to amaze you.

Right now, you and the Irwin troops are are getting ready to go to Michael and Crystal’s house for their Christmas Eve party. Mylo is teething so he’s being very fussy while you’re trying to change him into his outfit that matches his brothers. Ivy is on the floor vying for your attention as well, the Terrible Twos were hitting her hard, and she also had to get dressed yet. 

Both Ivy and Mylo let out loud cries and you feel like you’re about to lose your mind.

“I know babies, hang on,” you sigh trying to keep your voice calm and soothing. “Fletcher!”

“Yes mama?” he asks running into Mylo’s room. Henry is right on his heels; wherever Fletcher goes, Henry is sure to follow. 

“Can you find Daddy for me? I think he’s in the garage or basement. Tell him mama needs him, please.”

“Okay mama!” he jumps then grabs Henry’s hand. “Gotta find Daddy, Henny!”

You smile as your two sweet boys run to fetch their father. With a big breath, you bend down to hoist Ivy into your other arm then plant your feet to stand back up. They’re both still being very fussy and you’re trying to hush them down when Ashton appears in the doorway panting.

“What’s wrong? I was loading the car.”

“I appreciate that but I need you to take one of them, please,” you say frantically. 

Ashton takes Ivy who is already reaching for him. He sighs while bouncing her and wiping her wet cheeks. 

“Now what?”

“Now what? Really, Ashton?” you laugh shaking your head, “Can you put her in her dress? I need to change Mylo and get dressed myself.”

“So do I and I’m not even halfway done loading the car.”

“That can wait! I want them dressed before we go,” you grab Mylo’s outfit from the top of the dresser and place him on his changing table. You give him a gummy ring to suck on to soothe his mouth. 

“Do they really have to match?” he sighs again.

“It looks nice for pictures.”

“They’re both going to spit up on them or something anyway,” he mutters still bouncing Ivy lightly in his arms. 

“All right fine, let’s all just go in dirty clothes,” you snap pulling Mylo’s arms from his onesie. “Since you don’t care if our family is presentable.”

“Y/N, that’s not what I meant.”

“Can you just please dress Ivy? Her dress is on her dresser.”

“I can help, Daddy,” Fletcher says quietly. 

“Thanks buddy,” Ashton ruffles his son’s hair. “But I got it. You and your brother can go play until we leave.”

He gives you a disdainful look and you return an annoyed one right back.

All four of your children are in the living room cuddled up on the couch watching a Christmas special while you and Ashton are getting changed. You just need help zipping up your dress when you hear loud thumps coming from Ashton’s closet. 

“Your tie is on the bed,” you call to him clasping a bracelet on your wrist. Ashton gave it to you for your birthday, it had each birthstone of your children on it and you wore it daily. 

“Thanks,” he sighs brushing past you. His aftershave ghosts by you, a familiar scent that feels like home but you can sense the irritation beneath it. 

“Can you zip me up?” you ask quietly spinning around. He zips you quickly and you sigh, tension is high between you right now which has been happening a lot more lately. 

Having four children who are so close in age has been tiresome, it was expected and you’re both trying to get into the swing of things. The elder three have their routine but with Mylo as the new addition, you’re still trying to get him on course. It’s all overwhelming and added pressure of the holidays isn’t helping, everyone’s routine is out of whack. 

“Thanks,” you huff then leave the room to finish loading the car. You both needed to cool down and the best way to do that is not to say something either of you would regret in the heat of frustration.

The car ride is silent except for the noises from the kids in the back. Ashton is surprised that everyone had their jackets on and that the car was loaded when he came downstairs. He belted and buckled the kids silently as you handed him each one, a well oiled machine even if tension was high. He wasn’t even sure why he was irritated in the first place. 

The rest of the night you and Ashton were on opposite ends of the room from each other. Ashton is talking with Luke who has this grand idea to make a Christmas album when he noticed you holding Mylo while the other three played with their cousins. 

Ashton knew Mylo was teething but he only wanted your comfort. He spots you trying to sneak a bite of a snack but Mylo let out a distressed cry which distracted you and the food was forgotten. As you were trying to comfort Mylo, Henry and Ivy ran up to her equally upset.

“Mama! Ivy hit me!” Henry whines pointing his finger at his younger sister. 

You heft Mylo higher on your other hip then bend down to their level. 

“Why did she hit you?”

“She took dinosaur!” Henry pouts looking like you. 

“He took it first mama!” Fletcher shouts running to their party. His curls flopping as he came to a halt.

“Henry,” you use your ‘stern mom’ voice. “Did Ivy have it first?”

Henry looks down ashamed. 

“Say you’re sorry, if it was her turn,” you tell him. 

“Sorry, Ivy,” Henry apologizes. 

“And Ivy Rose,” you turn to your daughter holding her wrist, “we do not hit our brothers. No hit. I’m going to take the dinosaur if you can’t share, you can have him back later. Now, go play nice.”

The three run off laughing again as soon as they reach their cousins and Ashton is overwhelmed with love for you, his wife. 

You do so much, he knows you do, but he’s never taken the time to really watch and appreciate all that you do. You’re the best mother who puts the kids and Ashton first, always before yourself. 

Santa comes later after dinner, the four kids all sit on his lap nicely for a picture. When he lets out a hearty “HO, HO, HO!” Ivy shrieks then Mylo follows because of the loud noise. Ashton takes Ivy while you grab Mylo exchanging a smile as you comfort your two youngest. 

On the way home, the four siblings are passed out and you’re humming along quietly to the Christmas music. 

Once all four little Irwins are tucked in their beds, Ashton pulls you into your room and shuts the door, his lips on yours in a feverish almost desperate kiss. 

“What was that for?” you gasp, eyes wide while his strong fingers unzip your dress. 

“I’m sorry I was in a mood earlier,” he huffs slipping the dress from your frame, his forehead is on yours. His honey green tea eyes have darkened in warmth as he gazes at you. “I love you so much, Y/N. And I don’t tell you enough how such an amazing mother you are. You do so much and beyond.”

You avert your eyes down shivering at his gaze and his words. He tilts your chin back up. 

“You’re an exceptional woman, I’m so lucky to have you as my wife and partner. I couldn’t have asked for a better mother to our children.”

“Ashton . . .” your voice breaks from emotion. His hands are rubbing up and down your back, your waist, below the waistband of your laced underwear. 

“I mean it, angel,” his voice is deep leading you to your bed. 

He places you down gently, you toss your strapless bra off and onto the floor. Your own hands untuck his shirt and unbutton the front displaying his broad chest and muscled tummy with the perfect amount of flesh to squeeze onto. 

“I love you, too,” you whisper dragging your hands up his torso and into his hair pulling his mouth on yours. 

“Merry Christmas, darling.”

can you give us some insight into your next big project? "so one thing about ATEEZ's releases is that it kind of follows a storyline. I don't want to get into too much detail because we want it to be something our fans can analyse and interpret on their own as we continue to release music and add more pieces to the puzzle. I think our next comeback, with Say My Name and Hala Hala, will furthermore establish our little universe since it's our first comeback since our debut."

if you weren’t at a talent academy, what occupation would you be working towards? "I'd definitely do sport.. I'm fairly confident in my football and basketball skills."

are you a ‘work hard, play hard’ or a ‘work hard, sleep hard’ type? "It really depends on the time for me.. as we prepare for comebacks and promoting i'm very much 'work hard, play hard." If we're just doing smaller, more relaxed projects it'll be 'work hard, sleep hard."

what’s your proudest moment in your career so far? "Debuting! Before I was signed on as a part of ATEEZ I trained for about three years. The process is definitely tough but it's paid off!"

do you remember where you were when you realised you were accepted into your academy? "I was out clothes shopping with my older brothers, Deoksu and Yohan in Shanghai. I was in the middle of paying for my clothes when I got the email and I flipped out."

did you get rejected from any academies? do you care anymore? "Nope! I only applied for Blossom Bell."

what is your DREAM achievement? "Artist of the Year at any award show. It's probably more of a possibility in the Kpop industry than the music industry as a whole, but that's okay with me. If I've said it once, I've said it a million times; I have a lot of faith in ATEEZ."

if you could have any piece of music play whenever you entered a room, what would it be? "What I Said by Victon. At first listen it kinda sounds abrupt, but once you become more familiar with with the song you start to think it actually works kinda well. I feel like that suits me."

if i came round your house for a dinner date, what would you cook me? "I'm so sorry but until I become a better cook, we're getting take out haha."

do you have any guilty pleasures or weaknesses? "Reality TV. I'll judge the people for the first few episode and eventually I can't stop watching it."

if you could rename yourself, what would your name now be? "I think I'd want to try an English name. Like Matthew or Andy or something... But I also really like the Korean names Dawoon and Nareu as well"
