Just did a Batman run on Batman Day, it was a 5k run, the first one I ever had!! Gotta say, it was kind of a nice way to spend the day, Cardio is usually my nemesis, so I've been pushing myself to do more, had to walk a bit here and there but I persisted on and finished!!
And that's what Batman is all about!!

Ran a 5k today with my family before my sister flew back to home!!! Not too bad for running the whole thing in Vans since I forgot my shoes 😅
It was a super small medal this year. But oh well I had fun!!! And I’m getting better each and every race!

So I ran in a Halloween-themed 5K yesterday and there was a discount if you ran in costume so I threw a little something together.
It was a fittingly hellish getup to run in, as the wings made a small creaking sound and the ends of the tie tapped my race bib with every stride. I tucked the tie in my jacket but there was nothing to do about the wings. Oh well, they looked cool. The earrings worked well in place of drawing on a sigil, which I knew would not cooperate with sunscreen. If anyone recognized me as Crowley, they didn't say anything, but an 8-foot stilt-walking Frankenstein monster did greet me with "Hello, dark angel." o_O Oh! And! When I got in the car to go home, I turned on the radio and I kid you not, "Bohemian Rhapsody" was playing. Even my lil car got in on the fun.
I have all the elements to do a better Crowley costume (without neon pink Mizunos, lol) but I haven't had an opportunity to wear it...maybe sometime I'll just put it on and get some pics?

TL;DR
Life sucks; making the best of it. Give me any first time 5k advice.. And I’m a week or two into getting back on track, and so happy to see the scale trending down again. (All in good health)
Ok so.
Little update. Life’s been… hectic, lately. My husband’s laid off, my grandfather is not doing well..
I freaked out when I heard about my grandfather; he hasn’t been well, but it sounded like “say your goodbyes.” (we’re visiting him tomorrow morning, which I am so thankful for, no matter what.)
But! It’s also the day of a 5k a lot of my immediate family on that side signed up for. I figured we’d put him first and wouldn’t be up to a run after (emotionally)… so I dismissed it in my mind. My anxiety latched onto his wellbeing, and dismissed our training and prep.
Well now my family is ready and thinking grandpa just had a bad day, and I feel super unprepared for a run.
But ya know what? It’s a self paced glow run, and I’ll just be happy to get a 5k under my belt.
Am I stressed? Yes. Will I do it anyway? Heck yeah! Will I sleep tonight? Probably not.. but sadly thats nothing new. Just going to do my best, and learn from my experience.
Now time to get some white clothes and have fun with it!

Fast as fuck boiiii 🏃🏻♂️💨🥇☝🏼😎 Jkjk lol this was a super last minute 5k my family decided to run like a week before. I’m so out of shape and dehydrated from the holidays, and I haven’t been training at all so I almost threw up 😅 but I survived and got under 40:00!!! My goal is to get under 35:00 next race 😁

Beginning of the year if you told me that I could eventually run 5k in 25mins I would of laughed at you.
My 1st 5k run this year was just under 34mins and I could feel it in my knees. But 7 months on I'm feeling stronger during my run and feel as if my breathing is better.
I know it's not 25mins yet but it now feels doable. About 3 weeks ago I started doing 5ks under 30mins, my best was roughly 28mins and I started to think where and if it was possible to shave the extra mins to get to 25mins.
This morning it just clicked and I went for it, consistently keeping up the pace. On 2 separate occasions during the run I managed to run 1k under 5mins. So I know I am capable of reaching this goal.
I just need to keep going with the training and trust the process. It will happen
