He knows Adam is conflict-averse at times, especially in public, but he expected some degree of melodrama from him. “You want to make fun of me.” “Yeah,” Adam admits, still grinning. “I mean,” Gerard says, shrugging. The idea of taking Adam—his ex who does not believe in ghosts—along with him is probably a bad one, but still… --- After drowning, Gerard becomes obsessed with a strange curtain he saw floating in the water. His search for answers leads him to a psychiatrist in North Carolina who is doing research on near-death experiences and the idea that this divide between the land of the living and the afterlife might be thinner in locations that are notably haunted. After compiling a list of haunted locations between there and home, he runs into his ex—and non-believer of ghosts—Adam Lazzara.

OH, I love this one.... It's a bit of a slow start where you can tell something's up, but no one's confronting it head on--but things pick tf up in the second chapter and things really start to make sense, it's sooooo well plotted. Also I really liked how the ship was written here, like this is possibly my favorite fic in Adam/Gerard world... anyway, super interesting as far as the ghost stuff goes as well!!
