the targs have never piqued my interest which is bananas to me because dynastic brosis incest house with dragons is like designed in a lab to be my catnip but... idk. i don't really like the dragons in asoiaf bc they're just big horses to me. i prefer sentient/speaking dragons, personally.

and yay i'm glad my joff meta made you think about other characters you like!! asoiaf is a very interconnected text. what i said about joff is also true for sweetrobin and ramsay and theon and also for dany and viserys and sandor and many other characters i'm not listing. lots and lots of characters and their arcs are in conversation with other characters and theirs. i just reblogged a qrrm quote a little bit ago from the hbogot commentary where he compares the relationship between roose and ramsay to the one between tywin and tyrion. and i have personally always been focused on the boltons' relationship paralleling that of tywin and gregor. really opened my eyes to what should have been the much more obvious parallel!!
