This could just be a me thing but! I really do love Lmk fics that don’t have ships,or at least aren’t the main focus of the story. I really wish people would explore the more platonic side of things simply because I just love the characters. And ships seem to tilt the character in a way that makes them unrecognizable? Something along the lines of that.

Eddie and Steve meet at a coffee shop in Europe. They share a table. Eddie is a famous rock star and Steve has no idea who he is. Eddie assumes he’s a fan or reporter but then concludes he really has no clue. They exchange numbers and talk all the time. Dustin works for CC as a pyro tech and asks Steve to help him while he’s in Europe. Steve agrees but still doesn’t know it’s Eddie’s band. They end up figuring it out and very quickly fall in love. Pretty sure it ends with their wedding.
