Heroes in Crisis #2 features the 5 of Cups

Loss, Sorrow, Grief

Batman, posed in his black cape like the figure of the card, grieves the deaths of his allies and comrades during a superhero therapy session. The 5 of Cups features a cloaked figure transfixed on the three spilled cups before him. Completely ignoring the two standing cups behind him, this card reminds us not to forget what we still have.

La Llorona was the best fit for the card given her stories' focus on her being betrayed by her husband, killing their children, and regretting the act. She is said to haunt bodies of water, weeping for her children, and will steal others to drown as well.

Fear of loss and being heartbroken are things we all face when forming and in a romantic relationship. Especially when we're young and still developing our identities, and we're figuring out who we are and what we like and what we want, many relationships wax and wane and change. Even if it doesn't work out as you hope with h.n., it doesn't mean being in the relationship was a waste of time.

And, if you approach another person with the idea they may be a waste of time, that can negatively impact the relationship. It's scary to be vulnerable, because we can be hurt. It's good to self-assess and ask if the relationship is healthy. Take care of yourself and treat others like you would want to be treated. Each relationship we have gives us something, teaches us something. Look for the positives and act honorably and no matter what happens, you know you gave it your best. Resurrection of Magneto #1 was incredible! I’ve mapped out Storm’s journey by correlating the tarot imagery. Interestingly, she is not taking the lightning path despite her motif, instead starting at Malkuth heading to Netzach, followed by Hod and ending in Gavurah.

5 of Cups. Numinous Tarot

When we move into the Fives, we move from stability to chaos. With Vials, once we realized we were bored with having everything, it was taken away from us. Or perhaps we smashed the vials ourselves, just to feel something, anything? Now emotion rushes back in, strong feelings of grief and loss that overpower us. The grief is so strong that we forget all about the other two vials on the shelf, the ones that remain intact and full. This card often indicates that our view of the situation is unbalanced, perhaps disproportionate to what’s at hand. It’s good to allow grief to move through your body. When change occurs, so does loss. Something we once valued or loved is no longer a part of us or our life. Grief allows us to process that fact and eventually move on. But with the Five of Vials, we aren’t there yet. We have tunnel vision, allowing our grief to overtake and overflow rather than to flow through. Advice: it’s okay to allow yourself to seek comfort and gratitude. It doesn’t make your pain any less valid.

Creeptober 8 - Monument 5 of Cups/MAG 180 - Moving On

So, I decided to do a tarot reading to get some clarity regarding a matter. And, 5 of cups, 10 of cups AND 5 of swords upright jumped out.(Why do my cards like to do that? Besides maybe me being really bad at shuffling.)

But, when I put them down 5 of cups and 10 of cups wanted to be together but 5 of swords wanted to be a little further but tilted as if observing the two cards. And Judgement upright first and then reversed at the back. (Both because when I first saw it, it was upright. But, when I went to pick the deck back up after looking at the cards it wanted to be picked up the other way around)

So, as I literally interpret judgement when it's at the back— it's about good/true/favourable judgement and bad/false/unfavourable judgement.

So, the other party involved in the situation is first looking at me favourably when I am still 5 of cups but, their judgement got warped as my 5 of cups turned 10 of cups? Which led to 5 of swords? Which is a card of hostility and also of a third party benefiting from someone else's conflict/struggle.

So, someone was profiteering from the loss, and viewed me favourably while they benefited from it?

But, now that I am 5 of cups+ 10 of cups i.e. someone who made the best of a situation or overcame a situation, the favourable judgement was revoked???
