Dear Sephiroth: (a letter to a fictional character, because why not) #316
Today's letter might be a bit short; my focus is scattered all over the place, and my legs are screaming at me from a long walk in the woods today. I don't have any profound thought to share or anything insightful to write about today, because it is late and my brain is the consistency of soup.
…And it's not even some kind of soup with a thick consistency, either - like a bisque or a chowder. No, this is more like a thin soup with sad, scraggly little noodles, and maybe a small piece of carrot floating around aimlessly.
Still, I had fun today, even if I'm tired now. 😁
I got up early today to pick up my friend, BB, from a car shop; she had to leave hers there to get it inspected and all that. But M needed his car for an appointment today, so I couldn't go on my own because she wanted hangouts afterwards. So M and I both went, and we picked her up, and M dropped BB and I off at her house for hangouts and then he went home.
BB and I did all sorts of fun stuff together!! She showed me some of the music from Final Fantasy 14, and then we watched some kitboga on YouTube (the guy who scams scammers), and then… I gathered up a bunch of their bottles and cans.
In my world, bottles and cans can be recycled. Where I live, one can get money for this if you use special recycling places. You insert the cans or bottles into a special machine, one by one, and in the end, you get a receipt that you can redeem for money - 5 cents per can or bottle turned in this way.
For reference, 100 cents makes up a dollar. It takes about 4 dollars to purchase one gallon of milk. It takes about 3 dollars to purchase a carton of 12 chicken eggs. I don't know how much gil these things cost in your world, or what the economics are that influence the price of these things in your world, though, so I can't say how many gil a dollar is worth. Sorry about that.
Normally, we of my house just put our cans and bottles into the recycling bin at home and some folks take it away, and we do not get any money for it. But at my job, they want to host some kind of potluck, and the people setting it up are accepting the receipts from those special machines to pay for the potluck. BB and her husband N go through a lot of bottles and cans, so with their help, I gathered up everything they have, and managed to fill up a giant trash bag about halfway! I should get at least a couple dollars for it, and then I'll give it to the folks organizing the potluck!
I helped to clean up N's study a little, too, in the process! And from there, BB's car's inspection was done, so M returned, and we drove BB to the place where her car was so she could pick it up. And then M and I went home, and we got some candy for tomorrow on the way. It feels good to be able to help my friends! And I even got a nice picture of the sky on the way home, too...
Tumblr media
After I got home, I finally got around to cooking some rice in the leftover juices from those chicken leg quarters I made before. I know that it's been sitting in my fridge for a while now, but chicken juices tend to be pretty stable, especially if they're put into the jar hot and the fat rises to the surface and solidifies to prevent bacterial growth. It still won't keep forever, but still, it's usually good for about a week or two, as long as it doesn't smell weird.
But then, I forgot that tonight, J and I were supposed to do a night walk in our nearby nature trails with a group of hikers! So I put the rice in and set it to cook in the chicken juices (I added a little water to it, to make up for the volume taken up by the fat), and then we left the house pretty much right after that; I asked M to unplug the rice cooker when it beeped, so that the rice wouldn't get dried out and weird; that's what happens if you let it sit in the "keep warm" setting for too long.
The walk was done at night; it was dark. I couldn't get a whole lot of pictures, but I did get a couple…
Tumblr media Tumblr media
...I feel really lucky to have been able to snag these, even with my silly little cellphone camera!
The walk was two hours long, though. And the people we walked with were nice enough, but... my body hasn't engaged in lengthy activity for some time now, so even though we got back at like 8:30pm and it is now 12:30am, my legs are still kinda yelling at me, haha...
The rice was ready by the time I got back! By J's request, I had put the steamer basket in there, too; he had cut up some carrots and broccoli ahead of time and left it in the fridge inside the steamer basket. The veggies were maybe a little over-steamed, but they were still good. I put it in a bowl with the rice and the leftover salmon and mushrooms; it was very good!
...Want some...?
Tumblr media
I had intended to go to bed sooner than this, but like I said, my focus was scattered everywhere. But, as a happy result of my lack of focus, I got to have a very heartwarming conversation with one of my readers today, and I hope it leads to a nice friendship! We seem to have similar views on a variety of things, and she has told me a little about herself and her world, and I was really impressed by the upbeat attitude she maintains despite the various challenges she faces; I'm sure I could learn a lot by interacting with her, and I feel really lucky that she reached out!
...I wonder if I should make more effort to reach out more often. I'm generally afraid of making the first move when it comes to that sort of thing, though - even with people I know well. I feel like this attitude is rather limiting; maybe I'll talk about figuring out how to change it with my therapist on Tuesday...
Well anyway. My soup brain is getting the better of me. So I'm gonna stop writing now and go to bed.
I love you. Please stay safe out there so you can read tomorrow's letter, okay?
Your friend, Lumine

okay psa because i’m officially obsessed with this stuff:
if you knit/crochet and block items regularly or even if you handwash clothing sometimes: invest in a no-rinse laundry detergent
Tumblr media
i got this stuff at a local yarn store recently and i fucking love it. you fill up your sink or whatever, add 5 ml/1 tsp of detergent per gallon of water, put your item in and swish it around, let it sit for 15 minutes, and boom! done! no rinsing! you just take it out and dry as you would normally!
it was $17 USD for this 500 mL bottle….which means that if i’m only using 1 gallon of water at a time, it’ll last me 100 washes. it comes in scents but the unscented is sooooo nice, esp. if you’re sensitive to scents like myself. you can even add this stuff to washing machines! i can’t because i don’t have in-unit laundry but the bottle says you can!
seriously save yourself some time and energy and get a no rinse detergent. 10/10 would recommend

Exploring Options: Large Propane Tanks for Sale and Nearby Refill Stations for Propane Tanks
Since there are multiple kinds of propane tanks for you to choose from, and having so many of them can muddle up your mind, one of the most important things, figuring out what size and type you need should be taken into careful consideration. Be it your RV propane, a grill or any other gas appliance of the kind, having the right propane tank is vital.  In this blog post, we’ll go over the different types of propane tanks, including large propane tanks for sale, mini propane tanks, and where to get your propane refilled.
Large Tanks for Propane
For high propane consumption at home for such things as pre-cookers, a dining set outdoors, pool heating and other propane machines a large propane tank is for you. Large propane tanks for sale typically hold 100 to 1,000 gallons of propane. Tank size is important here, the advantage of large tank is that it will last longer if you don't have to refill it as often. It cuts short planning time and helps you avoid excess spending.
Tumblr media
Propane tanks are available either as new or second hand; now, both options are an available choice. The new tanks straight away will cost between $400 and $1,200, varying with capacity. The used fish tanks are cost-saving, usually between $200 and $700 for a 120-to-250-gallon tank in fairly good shape. It is important to inspect the whole tank attentively when buying a used one. Check if there are rusts, dents, leaks, and other damages that could lead to an unsafe condition in using the tank. Besides a propane tank, the other devices required include regulators, gauges, pipes as well as other accessories needed to finish the task of connecting it up. Be sure to provide for the existing funds when executing enormous propane tank system. Furthermore, in order to provide support to the tank’s base you’ll have to provide it with appropriate foundation. Gravel or concrete bases are the ones that best guarantee the stability and safety of the basement, since they prevent both irregularity and corrosions.
Mini Propane Tank
Two propane bottles, a tankless option, are ideal for backyard grills and portable heaters. The mini propane tanks or also called propane cylinders are portable steel containers filled with liquid propane. . The usual tank sizes offered are: 5 gallons, 10 gallons, and 20 lbs. For example, sizes start from 1 lb and go up to 40 pounds. The small and compact build-up of propane tanks allows for easy transportation and use in hosting camps, tailgating, hunting trips, and even emergency survival kits. This small capacity both gives you the freedom to refuse heavier propane tanks and frees your travel plans from connecting with a gas station.
You can easily grab mini propane tanks at home improvement stores, online and in-store retailers, and even at gas stations. The new propane tanks are going to cost either $25 or $50 per pack. Meanwhile, you should also allow for the re-filling of cylinders as we shall soon discover.
Nearest Propane Refill
After the propane tank becomes empty, you’ll have to find the nearby propane refill station in order to raise the depleted levels of propane. There are a few ways to go about getting a propane refill:
Exchange Program
Refill Station
Bulk Refill Truck
When you search for the nearest propane refill station, check listings on Google. Type in or click on your address to search for nearby locations. As for the refill of the green gas, most retailers will either facilitate the exchange of the cylinders or let you refuel in their shops.
Choosing the Right Propane Tank
As you can see, you have different options regarding the propane tank selecting which is best matching to your needs. Evaluate your propane usage considering portability and budget requirements as well. This will assist you determine if a big fixed tank is more suitable if you have many people or a smaller impressed cylinder suits better such as one individual.

5 Types of Food Packaging Equipment
Food packaging equipment executes unit operations that preserve food materials at a high level of safety, quality and taste. The most effective type food packaging equipment abides by strict governmental standards and specifications.
Common examples of this machinery include Form, Fill and Seal machines, sleeve systems, closing machines and vacuum chambers. The functionality and cost of this equipment varies by model.
Fillers and Depositors
Our fillers and depositors are designed to accurately dose a specific amount of liquid, cream or powder into packaging containers. Depending on the type of product, they can accommodate low- to high-viscosity compounds and operate as standalone units or integrate with other machines in your production line.
Using a servo-drive, the Unifiller multi-piston depositor can help you package a variety of entrée items including soups, sauces, salsas, dips and dressings into bags, cups or trays. It features a 16-gallon removable hopper for easy sanitation, an adjustable nozzle bridge for 4-8 across portioning and a diving and fixed nozzle option.
Sleeve systems are great for automating sleeving operations that are normally manual and time-consuming. They can help reduce waste and increase productivity. Capping machines are popular in soda and bottled-water factories and help close a bottle's air-tight cap. These machines are often used in conjunction with accumulation machinery and conveyors. Krones offers a range of food packaging equipment under the portfolio segments of digitalisation, process technology, bottling and packaging lines and intralogistics.
Vacuum Chambers
Vacuum chambers are large containment vessels that create a low-pressure environment. They can be designed to mimic specific environmental and atmospheric conditions, such as high altitudes. These chambers can be used to test and perform applications for manufacturing operations.
The food industry uses vacuum chambers to speed up the cooling and drying processes for products. This helps preserve a product’s cellular integrity, color, taste and appearance.
Another common use for a vacuum chamber is the creation of crystalline materials. In this process, a saturated solution of liquids is mixed and agitated so that structural solid crystal deposits will form. This is done because crystalline materials are much more stable than liquids, even in extreme temperatures and pressures.
A vacuum chamber can be fitted with a number of valves and gauges to monitor and control the process. Some vacuum chambers use a manual control system, while others require an automated controller that can make adjustments to the process.
Sleeve Systems
A sleeve system allows for an easier and faster process of labeling bottles or containers. Rather than using pre-printed labels, these sleeves are printed on film and then seamed to the bottle or container. The sleeve can then be heated with steam or electricity to fit the bottle or container perfectly.
Once on the container, a tamper evident band is added. This helps protect the product while ensuring that it is safe for consumption by consumers. Additionally, the sleeve can include full color branding and unique shaped containers to differentiate the brand from competition.
The sleeve may also be fabricated on-site, rather than being shipped to the user as a finished unit. The sleeve may be formed to an elongated generally cylindrical shape, with a tab 22 that is provided axially along one or more of the long side edges of sleeve parts 21. The axially-terminating ends of the tab 22 may be chamfered, angled, or otherwise modified as desired.
Labeling Machines
Labelling machines are used to attach labels or decorations to packaging containers. This can be either to promote a brand, communicate product details or offer tamper evidence. The machine can use wet glue or pressure sensitive (self-adhesive) labels and comes in a variety of configurations.
Usually the container or item is conveyed to the label distribution area by a conveyor belt. The labels are then positioned and fixed to the items using a roller system that ensures proper spacing between products. This is especially important for products that are round-shaped, like bottles.
Another type of labeling machine is the hot melt machine, which applies thin stripes of molten adhesive to a paper label and wraps it around a product, such as a soup or paint can. Activated by a foot or hand switch, this machine is incredibly fast and offers high-quality labeling results. This type of machine is ideal for labelling large-volume containers. SaintyCo labeling machines come in different options and designs.
You can also read the types of food packaging machines here.

Since the beginning of time, people have tried to preserve milk by keeping it from spoiling. There are many ways to preserve dairy products, such as butter and cheese, but milk preservation is still a new concept. One of these is evaporating milk. While you can buy evaporated milk in the grocery store, why not make your own? You can make many pints of evaporated dairy milk from a single gallon. You'll pay a fraction of what it costs to buy a lot more evaporated dairy milk. What is Evaporated Milk? Evaporated milk from stores is fresh milk that has been heated to about 60% of its moisture content. It is then heated at ultra-high temperatures (UHT), and can be canned in sterilized bottles. Similar: Stop throwing away soiled milk! Do this instead The final product will have a thick, off white color and a buttery scent. You can use it in many recipes, but you can also mix it with water to make a drink that tastes like fresh milk. How to Make Evaporated Milk at Home You can find many DIY recipes for evaporated milk online. Some suggested canning the milk to make evaporated milk. Others recommend using the water bath or pressure canner, or both. My recipe calls for a pressure cooker, not a canner. This means I cannot work in large batches, so my timing and instructions may differ from yours. Most people can manage 10 pounds of pressure in ten minutes, or set your canner at 11 psi for the same time. Supplies: 3 c. whole milk (makes 1-1 1/2 cups evaporated milk). mesh strainer or cheesecloth, colander Heavy bottomed saucepan Stirring utensil, such as a wooden spoon Pressure cooker/canner, and other equipment Instructions: Remember to sterilize everything when canning milk products. My jars are best sterilized in a 250-degree oven for between 30 and 40 minutes. You can also sterilize the lids by boiling them in water for about 10-15 minutes. Related to 7 Deadly Canning Sins Even Smart People Make 1. Bring the milk to a boil over medium to low heat. Reduce heat to low once the milk has boiled. 2. Let the milk simmer for approximately 25 minutes or until it is half its original volume. The milk will begin to form a film layer as it heats. This is moisture that escapes the milk. This film can bubble if it isn't stirred enough. Keep this from happening by stirring frequently and quickly. 3. When the milk thickens and deepens to a creamy-off-white color and the volume has been reduced by half, take it off the stovetop and let it cool down slightly. 4. The film should be removed from the top. Next, strain the mixture using a strainer/colander. Related to Bone Broth at Home with 2 Year Shelf Life 5. Fill the jars using your evaporated milk. Leave a quarter inch space at the top. Place them on the pressure cooker or canning rack 6. Turn the heat up to medium-high and close the pressure canner/cooker cover. Let it build pressure until steam/vents. Next, add the weight or equivalent to your machine and set a timer that runs for ten minutes. Turn off the heat when it is done. Allow it to cool down until the pressurizing process is complete. 7. Allow the cans to rest for at least 24 hours before opening them. Evaporated milk should keep for between 12-18 months in cool, dark places, away from direct sunlight like your pantry or root cellar. = A Cheap and Easy Method to Build a Root Cellar in Your Backyard Is homemade evaporated milk safe? You should decide for yourself whether homemade evaporated milk can be consumed safely. The USDA says that home-canned dairy products are just too dangerous to recommend. There is no approved recipe for home-canning dairy products. Dairy products such as milk are high in fat, low acid and high in moisture. These factors can make dairy products more vulnerable to bacteria and spoilage that can lead to toxins such as Botulism. This is why raw milk from cows is almost impossible to find in shops.
You might be wondering if it is possible to safely make your own pasteurized and evaporated milk at home, seeing as you can purchase these products in boxes at the grocery store. Making your own evaporated milk means that you expose it to high temperatures and remove a lot of its moisture content. Some people believe that safe home canning is the best way to can milk. Related to My first batch of canned cheese Although store-bought evaporated milk may go through the same sterilization process as home-made canning, it is usually more controlled and therefore safer. Evaporated milk uses You now know how to can your own homemade evaporated milk. But did you know that it is possible to turn the evaporated milk into regular milk? Simply heat your evaporated milk on low heat, then add water to the pot. In no time, you'll be enjoying a regular glass milk! Powdered milk can be used to substitute for milk if you are short on time. To make a great substitute for evaporated milk, simply add 40% of the recommended water to powdered dairy milk. There is not much information on canning powdered reconstituted milk. If you have only powdered milk, it is better to use it right away than to can it. Useful Thing You Might Have Forgot To Buy
To start with, this is going to be items and details and tips for how to use every. I'm also saying this for the worst case scenario's, which is being locked inside our homes with now way to leave and the power and water being shut off.
Porta potty/Camping toilet. Now without water we can't use the faucets, toilets, showers, clothes washing machines, ect. I find a five gallon bucket with a toilet seat lid, which is buyable, is fantastic as a diy toilet, poor saw dust or baking soda in afterwards and it will dim the smell exponentially, or consider purchasing a camping toilet.
Shower Bag. These are fairly certain common, and surprisingly still stocked at my stores. They are 5 gallon bags used to hang in tree's, but cam be places in your shower when the water goes off. If you'd like to hear you water then I'd suggest...↓↓
Portable Propane Camping Stove. When the lights go out and the toaster, microwave, and oven stop working how are you going to heat all that canned food you bought? (PS! GET A HAND CAN OPENER) So I would suggest buying a camping stove that runs off propane. Fairly cheep and it works great, especially with frozen meats and veggies.
Washing Clothes Without Power? Go out and buy a storage tub without a lid, one big enough to do a small to medium load of laundry, and remember without water this will take a lot of water to do. You can fill the small plastic tub up instead of your large bathtub saving water. If you wanna get fancier you can buy what's called a Laundry Plunger which is exactly what it sounds like but it's a little different, they're fairly cheep also.
Speaking of WATER why isn't anyone buying water filters to hook onto your sink? We have running water now, let's take advantage of it. Get large containers suitable for storing water in, and fill them up, empty gallon jugs, empty bottles and tea pitcher's, fill them up now. The more you have the better.
Candles for light, flashlights, batteries, and solar powered flashlights.
Also get a Solar Powered Radio, it's pretty handy.
And finally, I want you all to remember one key rule to survive this with our sanity. That's value the people around you, whether that's your partner, your family, your roommates, value them. Because you'll need others to help maintain your own sanity, extended isolation isn't healthy, and we need was to cope. So go buy board games, or if you have a ton of board and card games like me, pull them outta the basement, storage, top of the close, ect. And enjoy your time with the people around you, remind yourselves that you are strong, you are not alone, and you will make it through this.
It's not going to be the end if we can keep it from being the end, but we have to keep being decent human being to pull through this, we have to remember all of us our hurting right now and the world doesn't need any more hurt, neither do the people. We can survive, we are strong, our ancestors made it through hard times, they struggled, they survived, we are built from generations that have survived deviation, it's built into our genetics now to be stronger and survive this. We as humanity Will survive we always have we always will. Be safe stay safe and I hope you and your families and your loved ones are okay right now.

50 things I’ve learned this year during a global pandemic/general life advice from your local teenage train wreck :) (Pt. 1)
1. It’s okay to let go. Of things, people, old interests, even your past self. It doesn’t matter. If it isn’t benefiting you anymore, it’s okay to let things go.
2. No relationship is worth pursuing that doesn’t match your energy. If someone’s not matching the love you give them, pull back to match their energy. That way, you save your energy for the people in your life that do. Most times, the people who do match your love and energy are the one’s that are in it for the long run and will be there for you.
3. Stop caring what other people think about your interest. Often times we have so much shame for liking what we like. Why is that? If it isn’t hurting anyone, then why does it matter that you have an obscure taste in music, books, movies, etc.? Stop apologizing for what you like!
4. It’s okay to not want to grow up, even if that’s all you wanted to do as a kid. You don’t have to grow up.
5. Going off of that, if you’re a “gifted” or “mature” kid, it’s okay to mourn your childhood you never had. Watch that show that you never did as a kid and fall in love with it. Finger paint with no exterior motive. Read way below your reading level. Reread Harry Potter or the Percy Jackson series. Play outside. You deserve it.
6. “Kids” shows, including atla, lok, etc. often have more complex and interesting plots and characters than most “adult” shows these days. Don’t dismiss something just because it’s geared for a younger audience. Watch and learn from them.
7. The changes you want to happen don’t suddenly happen. They’ll happen after many months of trial, error, and consistency. Take baby steps and celebrate small victories.
8. You’re body will always be imperfect, and it’s okay. You’ll eventually learn to accept it once it doesn’t change so fast during adolescence, but don’t feel pressured to. It’s okay to not like how you look, just don’t let it keep you from enjoying life and your body from serving it’s purpose.
9. Most high school guys don’t want a serious, long term relationship yet. They all have to mature a little bit for that, and it’s normal to feel frustrated about it, but don’t blame them too hard for it. You matured at a faster rate then them, and they still need a little more time. The best thing to do it wait for it.
10. Questioning your sexuality is a normal part of life. You like guys? Good! You into girls? Great! It literally doesn’t matter, and God doesn’t really care either. There’s nothing in the Bible against it, and he made you that way right? Why not embrace it! Asami was your first gai crush? WONDERFUL! me too! Want to label yourself? I’ll respect and support whatever your decision is! Don’t know or don’t want to? Also perfect!
11. God (or whatever you believe in, or don’t!) made you imperfect for a reason: to embrace those imperfections and grow through them, to improve. Why would God put you on this earth if He didn't think that you had a reason to grow closer to Him through your imperfections? Make sure you use and acknowledge your imperfections, because they’re your lifeline to Him in prayer. It’s what you need to improve on, and ask help for, and that’s okay! (Spoiler alert, even when you do this stuff and work super hard, you’re human, and you’re still gonna mess up and make mistakes! Perfection wasn’t intended for humans, and I don’t believe it ever will be!)
12. When summer rolls around, get a summer job. Go down to the local ice cream place and ask if they’re hiring. Get an application and fill it out nicely with good handwriting. Then, take it back and wait. If they say yes, great! If not, that’s good too! Keep looking! Once you’ve found a place, settle in. Learn how things work. Learn how to do your job good and effectively. Immerse yourself in it. Then, have fun. Name the machines. (Big Bertha the waffle iron, or Fernanda the flurry machine, etc.) Name the ice cream flavors after your favorite fictional characters based on what they’d order (Aang is cookie dough, Obi Wan is mint chocolate chip, etc). Make new friends there and schedule your shifts with them. Get them in on your games too! It makes it more fun. Take time to show them your names for the ice cream flavors and machines, and maybe start using the names as abbreviations to make orders more efficient. Make sure you work only how much you can handle, even if that’s once a week or seven days for nine hours each. Whatever makes you happy! If you work in customer service, make them smile. Give the little kid extra sprinkles for wearing a fun mask or stickers if you have them. If there’s a tired mom, help her out by prioritizing her order to get out fast if possible. Whatever helps them. Thank the customers that tip! Then, get your paycheck in the mail and save all your tips. Put it in the bank and save it for college or when you need it. (Make sure to buy yourself something nice with the money sometimes too!)
13. When in school, don’t feel pressure to over achieve all the time. It’s okay to do the bare minimum sometimes. If you have an A, why are you worrying about if it’s a 95 and not a 98? It’s still an a, and that’s great! School is there to help you learn, so don’t force yourself to do extra busy work for a little extra credit (unless you absolutely need it!).
14. Take time to learn and do other things outside school that you may not be getting credit for. They’ll serve you in the long run! You like to write fan fiction? Keep writing! It’s helping! You love a sport? Good! It’s keeping you healthy while teaching you real life skills. Most of these things are gonna stick with you forever, so keep doing them and don’t let you passion fade away.
15. Write letters to your friends that live far away. Even if they don’t respond, they will appreciate having something that’s harder to lose or accidentally get deleted. Make the letter nice with pretty paper or colored pens or stickers, and spray your favorite scent on the envelope. Then seal it with a sticker and send it off. They really will appreciate it.
16. Splurge on your own Spotify premium account and make a playlist for each mood. Make one for studying, working out, singing at the top of your lungs, one for when your happy, sad, etc. (You can also search my name, Hana Zainea, to listen to any of my playlists and see if we have the same music taste. If so follow me there and I’ll follow back to see your playlists!) Listen to your music and take time to enjoy it. Set aside ten to fifteen minutes just to do that. Let it flow through you and wake your soul up.
17. Learn how to make handmade gifts. Wether that’s learning to make necklaces, earrings, bracelets, crochet, knit, or even make a nice card with hand lettering, learn how to make at least one solid handmade gift. It’ll give you a new skill as well as let the other people in your life that you love them. Handmade gifts are valuable and kept forever no matter how good they look.
18. If your best friend lives far away like mine does, plan a monthly bsf subscription box. You can send each other a letter and a few little self care gifts once a month. It’s soooo fun and I can’t recommend this enough.
19. Have photos that you like printed in physical form and hang them on your wall even if it’s just with tape. You’ll like being able to see and access happy thoughts and memories easily and have them hanging on your wall instead of sitting in your camera roll.
20. You don’t have to keep up with social media. Delete it if you want, or limit your time on it if you want. Sometimes the “connection” we experience through social media isn’t always healthy, so monitor your use.
21. Have a screen time widget on your phone and keep track of it. Try to cut your usage down by half an hour every week and eventually reduce it to the amount of time that you’d like to spend on your phone without being excessive, whatever that looks like for you.
22. Meditate. This isn’t anything religious or spiritual, and it brings many benefits. It’s basically you setting a time aside to think for yourself. You can use one of the hundreds of guided meditations on youtube, or listen to theta waves/meditation music or just find a quiet place. Find a place where you know you won’t be disturbed, and then start to let your mind wander. What’s bothering you. When you turn off you mind, what’s the first thing that pops up? What keeps you from just being? What do you need to focus on in order to help yourself feel better? What are some things that you regret that are weighing on your heart? Now, what is your desired reality? Where do you want to live? Who do you want to meet/live with? What do you do? What do you act like? What do you have to do to make this happen? If you pray/are a christian, ask God for help with this desired life. (Remember, ask and you shall receive!)
23. Get yourself a hydro flask or any other durable water bottle, specifically a 16 or 32oz one. This way, it’s way easier to keep track of how much water you are drinking. A 16oz bottle is one pint and a 32oz one is a quart. Four of the 32 and eight of the 16oz are a gallon. Start by trying to drink a quarter of a gallon (2 16 oz or 1 32 oz) then a half, then three quarters, and eventually you’ll be drinking a gallon plus of water a day. (Put stickers on it to motivate yourself. Trust me it works wonders having fun stuff on there. Makes it enjoyable)
24. If you’re able, make and give gifts often. It brings more joy than expected.
25. Get rid of clothes. Toss all the old ones out. Reinvent yourself. Invest in pieces of clothing that are timeless (crewneck sweaters, cable knit sweaters, tan and brown colored dress pants, nice wool coats and sweaters, etc.) You’ll have these forever.
26. Maintain your physical appearance. Make sure to change your clothes, follow proper hygiene, use lotion, etc. You’ll feel much better, trust me. You don’t have to use expensive products or put on a full face of makeup either, but putting some effort in will make you feel much better about yourself.
27. Find a tea that tastes good to you. (Preferably without caffeine so you can drink it whenever.) Try everything! Then get yourself a nice mug and have some at a dedicated time each day. Relax and enjoy a constant in your life.
28. If you’re into it, research and try reality shifting. I’m not going to go into depth in this post (that would take awhile) but if you’re really needing an escape but can’t go on vacation due to money, time crunches, etc, you can shift to any alternate reality that you’d like. Further in depth post about this to come.
29. Read. Anything. A book, and article, the paper, the news, even the back of a cereal box. Think about it. What did you learn? Anything?
30. Never accept criticism from someone you wouldn’t go to for advice.
31. Call your parents if you live away from home. If not, spend more time with them. They love and miss you.

42. Artists to listen to: Norah Jones, James Taylor, John Denver, Anson Sebra, Ed Sheeran, The Paper Kites, The Artic Monkeys, Conan Grey, L. Dre (for Lofi) Song recs are on my Spotify haha (Hana Zainea)
43. Invest in good supplies for art. It’ll make a difference.
44. When something feels off, clean your bathroom. Not your depression cave of a bedroom. Your bathroom. Trust me. It helps so so so much to have on clean space.
45. Have a cohesive scent. Like lavender? Buy lavender everything. Use it in lotions, deodorant, shampoo, conditioner, candles, etc. You’ll have a scent that people will now associate with you and you only.
46. Learn how to cook while your at home. Ask your parents if you can go to a nutritionist and learn what foods nourish your body the best. Eat them and let yourself feel good about what you put in your body.

Everyday uses of Kangen Water
Tumblr media
Introduction
Kangen water is made using a home water ionizer called the Kangen Water machine. Kangen is a brand name owned by Enagic™ Corporation for ionized alkaline water made by their water ionizer. All water ionizers use electrically-charged plates to break down ordinary tap water into alkaline water, with essential minerals like calcium and magnesium in it, and they also make acidic water at the same time. Water ionizers make alkaline and acidic waters at the same time because of the process they use to ionize water is called Electrodialysis.
Electrodialysis – The process used to make Kangen water™
The electrodialysis process uses charged plates that are separated by an ion-permeable membrane to separate water into alkaline and acid halves. It does this by breaking down the mineral salts found in tap water. The most common mineral salts in tap water are calcium carbonate and magnesium carbonate.
The charged plates cause the mineral salts in water to separate, the calcium and magnesium are attracted to the negatively charged plate, while the carbonate is attracted to the positively charged plate. Calcium and magnesium are both unstable in water, so they immediately combine with water molecules to form mineral hydroxides. The carbonate is drawn to the positively charged plate, where it combines with water to acidify it. The mineral hydroxides give alkaline Kangen water™ its alkaline pH and cause the surface tension of the water to decrease, which makes it easier for the body to absorb.

To prevent diaper rash begin by making certain that your baby is properly hydrated with pH 8.5-9.5 Alkaline Drinking Water. Next replace baby wipes with a container filled with soft cloths or unbleached paper towels and Mild Acidic Water. Use to cleanse diaper area each time you change your baby, pat dry and then apply a very fine mist to the skin. This assists in keeping the pH of the skin balanced.
Caution—Step Away From The Antiperspirant: Sweat is one of your body’s natural methods for ridding itself of toxins, so stopping that natural function can create a serious backlash in your lymphatic system. Odors are simply bacteria thriving in the dark, damp area. So to stop the odor simply mist with pH 2.5 Strong Acid Water. If you tend to sweat a lot keep a small spray bottle in your purse or desk drawer for occasional touch ups throughout the day.
11.5PH WATER STRONG KANGEN
1. GOOD NIGHT SLEEP: Drink 1/2-1 ounce of 11.5 before bedtime to help release Melatonin for a great night sleep
2. EYE WASH: Rinse eyes with an eye cup. Upon removing the eye cup from its packaging, soak in Strong Acid Water (pH 2.5) for 1-2 minutes to clean and disinfect. Rinse the eye cup thoroughly with Strong Alkaline Water (pH 11.5) Fill the cup, following package directions, with Strong Alkaline Water (pH 11.5) Place cup firmly around one eye, keeping your eye open, tilt your head back and gently roll your eye as though you were attempting to look up, down, and from side to side. Continue this for approximately 1 minute. Now that you have completed one eye, toss the water away. Rinse the eye cup thoroughly with Strong Acid Water (pH 2.5) Repeat steps for your other eye. To maintain healthy eyes follow this protocol 1-3 times per week. When working to improve any eye condition, follow this protocol at least 2 times daily and up to 10 times per day.
3. GREASE IN EYE: Spray 11.5 as needed to soothe and heal eye.
4. MAKE UP REMOVER: Spray on eyes to dissolve and remove make up.
5. PUFFY EYES: Spray on to eyes to reduce puffiness.
6. HOT BATH SOAK: Use one gallon of 11.5 added right at the end of filling the tub. This replaces Epsom Salts or any other remedy. This works even better if you have the Anespa from Enagic.
7. ALLERGIES, COLD SYMPTOMS, SNORING: Use as a nasal wash when sinuses are plugged. Due to the reduction in inflammation of nasal passages this technique can also reduce snoring!
8. BUG SPRAY REPELLENT, SUNBURN, PAIN, BUG BITES, SWELLING: Spray or soak areas with towel soaked in 11.5 and keep wet by adding small amounts of 11.5 to the towel for a minimum of 30 minutes twice a day...better if one hour twice daily.
9. HEAT BURN, INDIGESTION, FOOD POISONING, STOMACH FLU: Drink ¼ cup FRESH 11.5 immediately followed by 25 ounces of 9.5 then do not eat or drink anything for 45 minutes. Repeat the next day only if necessary.
10. ARTHRITIS, GOUT, MUSCLE SORENESS OR TISSUE INJURIES: Since high alkalinity draws out acids, you can utilize 11.5 to soak in to “pull out” acids associated with inflammation, injury and pain.
11. HANGOVERS & MIGRAINES: can prevent hang overs, as soon as feel migraine coming on, drink several oz.
12. CHEMOTHERAPY: Drink the water with chemotherapy. The benefits are that side effects are lessened, it reverses metabolic acidosis, and the antioxidants are good for any point on chemo. Put 11.5 on the skin twice a day for burns from chemo.

16. RICE, BEAN, LEGUMES: Soak for 5 to 10 minutes and rinse clean with low flow 9.5.
17. MEATS: Soak all for 5 to 10 minutes for cleaning and tenderizing.
18. LAUNDRY SOAP: Use 1 to 2 quarts per load in place of laundry soap. Works beautifully for greasy smells like Fast-food Restaurant work clothes.
19. STAINS ON CLOTHES, RUGS, CARPETS: Use as a degreaser for any type of cleaning. Clean oil based stains by soaking the area and letting sit for 10 to 20 minutes and then blot out of carpets and wash if laundry stain as mentioned in step 17.
20. CLEAN OVEN, CLOGGED SINKS & TUBS, REPLACE 409 CLEANER & DRANO: Clean with a scratch pad. Replaces 409 cleaner when dissolving grease and grime in kitchen. Use instead of Drano or other chemicals for clogged sinks and bathtubs.
