WHY FOUR CUPS?
One of the most famous - and enjoyable - parts of the seder is the four glasses of wine we are commanded to drink that night. Why four cups? As with everything Jewish, there are multiple answers. Here are a few:
When God promised to deliver the Jews from slavery in Egypt, He used four terms to describe the redemption (Exodus 6:6-8): a)“I shall take you out…” b) “I shall rescue you” c) “I shall redeem you….” d) “I shall bring you….”
The four cups represent our four exiles from the Holy Land: the Egyptian, Babylonian and Greek exiles, and our current exile which we pray will end very soon with the coming of Moshiach (Messiah)!
The words “cups of wine” are mentioned four times in Pharaoh’s butler’s dream (Genesis 40: 11-13). Just as the butler was liberated from prison in Egypt, these cups of wine allude to the Jews’ liberation from slavery in Egypt.
Wine helps us celebrate the holiday with joy!

ohhh my god the cheesecake recipe book is american so its AAALLLL cups and tsp (which i can deal with cause ive followed american recipes before) but they tried to make it idk. non-american inclusive by having a metric side but the metric is all mL. like it's ALL cups (solids/liquids) -> mL (liquids) with the except of lb/oz -> g (solids) and that is insane. like sorry americans but unfortunately my sugar and butter and biscuits are not measured in liquids. when i buy flour/other solids the quantity listed at the side (which lets me know if I've bought enough for the recipe) is in grams. beause its not liquid. and WHY is oz (a liquid measurement) translated to g (a solids measurement). I Think Stick To The American System

Highly recommend going to a plus size store (Even if you are not plus size) and getting measured. Once you wear a properly fitted bra you will not have to worry about the wire betraying you as the bra should not be under stress.
But listen to the sizes we give you, don't try to tell us we are wrong because you've always worn X size at VS.
Since we don't just sell intimate items we are more likely to tell you your real size instead of trying to sell you a bra that won't fit properly.
I've had so many people be insulted that we "measured them wrong" when we tell them the proper size because they went from a 36 F to a 42 D, because many VS stores don't carry anything bigger than a 36 band size.
Best way to measure is to measure the band size which all the way around under your boobs with less than a finger wiggle room. Then the cup size you can measure from the base of the boob to the middle/nipple line. Each inch equals one cup size. So if from the base to the middle you are 4 inches then you are a D.
When trying on bras you should be able to just get it hooked on the outermost hooks, that way you can cinch it smaller when it inevitably gets loose from too much wear.
Got Uneven boobs?, I always recommend going with the bigger one, because I think having one boob popping out when accommodating the smaller just doesn't feel comfortable. (I have a 1 to 2 cups difference between boobs😔)
I also recommend investing in good bras. Don't go for the $20 dollar bras from Walmart. Just save up and splurge on the $50+ bras. In the long run it will save you money because you won't have to be replacing them as often. Torrid always has sales going on so you can get a $60 for $30 or even $20. Cacique is also another good plus friendly bra brand that is in the higher price point but they are so so comfy and durable.

Beef Stew I just came up with!
Ingredients
1-2tbsp vegetable oil
1lb cubed beef
1½ cups onion (about 2 medium ones)
3 cups carrots (about 5-6 big ones)
1 cup celery
1.5lbs potatoes
1-2cups frozen peas
3-4cups beef bouillon
1tbsp ginger
2tbps garlic
1tbsp chili flakes (I use Laogan Ma, its not too spicy for me and it's savory)
Salt and pepper to taste
1tbspMustard/mustard powder
1tsp rosemary
1-2bay leaves
Instructions
Cut all the veggies bite sized, chop onions finely
Sear the beef cubes in oil
When brown (about 5-10 minutes to do all the sides) , add onions and cook for another 4 min while stirring occasionally
Add spices (garlic, ginger, salt, pepper, chili flakes, mustard, bay leaves, rosemary) and veggies (celery, carrots, potatoes, peas)
Add bouillon (I did 4 tsp of bouillon in 3 cups water for a more concentrated taste. If you have beef broth concentrate, you can add that)
Simmer for 2h30

getting off my effexor finally relaxed most of my constantly clenched muscles and lowering my wellbutrin eliminated the sharp gut and chest pains (and some more permanent clenching). physically i feel pretty good. notably, i do still get the mysterious throbbing joint pain/swelling, but much less frequently. its back to its "normal" rate instead of the 24/7 nightmare i was in for a year. whatever, blood tests are normal so its not worth worrying about.
i dropped my methylphenidate for a while (and stopped drinking coffee) because i was shaking like crazy/overwhelmed with constant terror while getting off the effexor and needed to make sure i knew where those sensations were coming from. now that withdrawal is over, i re-introduced coffee first (back to a healthy 4cup pot a day, whew) and then a single low dose of the methlyphenidate. then back to my 2x a day. now that all of that shit is over, it seems like the methylphenidate's impact on me is that it makes me able to concentrate for long periods of time with no real noticeable side effects. not physically, anyway. kicked it up a smidge to 20mgs in the morning and 10 mgs in the evening.
i cannot tell you how relieved i am that the carpal tunnel and trigger fingers i was apparently developing were caused by the drugs clenching my muscles. i wonder if my teeth grinding will go away entirely if i get off wellbutrin
e: also had a period where yawning came with a risk of locking my jaw open requiring manual intervention. i really just assumed i was like, dying or whatever. didnt really care?

Just heard from the vet about Maeve’s blood panel.
It came back with no cancer indicators, so they think it is true idiopathic hypercalcemia. Her phosphorus was fine and her parathyroid level was low so it’s not hyperparathyroidism (so no surgery). She has to start a prescription wet food only diet. Which she is gonna be so mad because she only gets about 1/4cup of dry food a day but it’s her FAVORITE thing. I also have to mix 1/2tsp of chia seeds into her food once a day to bulk up the fiber. Which hopefully with the wet food only and chia seed the excess calcium will bind and be excreted out. Once we’ve been on the diet for a good 4 weeks she goes back for a blood test (luckily not the full panel just a tiny test) to check her ionized calcium levels. If all is good we go every 4-6 months to test how she’s doing. They think because she’s young that it will hopefully be years before any kidney failure. And if the calcium is going up instead of down she will be on steroids.
So here’s crossing everything that the diet works. I also definitely sobbed tears of relief after hanging up with the vet that it didn’t show any cancer indicators.

Baking for dummies: Recipe to make the BEST brown butter chocolate chip cookies.
chocolate chip cookies (Gluten free friendly)
~INGREDIENTS~
unsalted Butter
Brown Sugar
White Sugar
2 Eggs
Vanilla Extract
All Purpose Flour/GF flour
Baking Soda
Salt
Chocolate Chips
~RECIPE~
(3/4cup) or 2 sticks of butter in a pot on medium heat until its golden or tastes slightly BURNT😊😁 (its okay if the butter is severely bubbling while you cook it)
while you wait for the butter to turn golden brown, add 1 Cup of brown sugar AND 1/4 Cup of white sugar into a big bowl
Take butter off the heat when it looks golden brown and add it into the bowl. Mix it all until combined.
Then add 1 egg YOLK!, 1 WHOLE egg, and 1 TBSP of vanilla extract, then mix. Yes, it should have a weird consistency, maybe..
Finally add in 1 3/4 cups of all purpose flour (for measuring dummies, it’s 1 cup + a 3/4 cup 😯🤦‍♂️🤔)
Then mix in 1/4 tsp of baking SODA, and 1 tsp salt. (You can always add more baking soda, but for me it has made my cookies turn out a little too ‘cakey’ for my liking)
Then add as many chocolate chips as you want, i don’t measure it 💀 AND NOW ROLL YOUR COOKIES INTO BALLS, put them in your FRIDGE for like 30 MINS. (i do 20 cuz i dont care🙏)
take them out and put in oven at 350F for 11-12 minutes, or until they have a golden brown to them. AND GUYS, I recommend cooking like a couple cookies first because the first batch turns out different than the second.
As they cool, sprinkle sea salt on them for extra flavoring (THE SALT MAKES IT 100x YUMMIER) and then YOUR DONE!! enjoy [tiktok proud emoji]

Some early weekend positivity because it’s too early to share it with anyone except my mom, I made some garlic butter and it’s very good!! I’ve never made garlic butter before and I was kind of just half-remembering a recipe I saw online once, and it turned out great! I’ll put the recipe in another ask since it’s SUPER easy and simple and maybe someone else wants a go?
🧄 butter! (approx amts everything is customizable): 1/2bulb garlic (do not peel, slice top off, drizzle olive oil/cover in foil, bake for 45min at 350f), 1/4cup melted salted butter with a bunch of olive oil (so it’s spreadable), big handful of chopped parsley-> squeeze in the garlic then mix it all together with a spatula where u melted the butter! I’ve been dipping toasted sourdough into it :D looking at it that’s hardly a recipe at all, but I said I’d put it and I didn’t wanna not deliver
