Yes I get that he's a “mystery” and hardly ever shows up in the second saga before season 7 but wHaT!?!?

19th August 1745 saw Charles Edward Stuart raise his standard at Glenfinnan.

By 1744, hostilities between Britain and France had escalated and the time seemed right for another attempt by the Jacobites to reclaim the British throne.

Louis XV was prepared to support an invasion. Prince Charles Edward secretly left Rome and travelled to France to lead the rising on behalf of his father, James VIII and III, who was by now 56 years old. The plan was abandoned when a storm destroyed the French fleet.

After spending over a year petitioning Louis XV to finance another invasion attempt, Charles decided to proceed alone. Always impulsive and convinced that the Highland clans would rise to support him, he secured a ship to transport him and seven loyal supporters to Scotland.

The Prince and his party landed on Eriskay in the Outer Hebrides during July 1745. Shortly after his arrival, the Prince met Alexander Macdonald of Boisdale, who warned him that many clans were unlikely to support him. When told to return home he replied,

‘Sir I am home… I am persuaded that my faithful Highlanders will stand by me’.

Jacobites rallied to the cause – providing Charles with the very real possibility of seizing the power which had been lost almost sixty years previously. The Prince raised the Stuart standard (flag) at Glenfinnan, west of Fort William on the Scottish mainland, on 19 August – the final Jacobite rising had begun!

okay, so . the IOUs zam owes from last season:

initially, they were offered to reddoons, squiddo, 4c, and spep in exchange for their blessings/curses in the "a deal with the princezam" stream and the "deals deals deals!" stream. around this time, zam supposedly gave these same offers, while off stream, to pangi, jaron, and terrain as well.

woogie was then later offered 1 IOU when zam first revealed that he was playing on pangi's account, requesting that he didn't tell anyone about it. after that, the only other deal made that i could find was to leo for his login info on the final day.

out of all of those deals, only 5 accepted and actually completed their end of the deal. those being red, pangi, woogie, spep, and leo. red and spep's offers were bumped from 1 IOU to 3 during negotiations. however due to spep betraying during the big pb&j vs. playersTM fight, spep’s was lowered back down to 1. pangi's was done off stream but purely based on context i assume it's only 1 IOU? (or they traded login info ? idk it's one of the two).

during the finale, zam also mentioned that he offered 2 more IOUs to red if he logged on immediately to curse jumper with glowing (1:23:27 in "the finale day" roshambo vod (may 25th)) . yea .

so, from what i can gather: zam owes reddoons something between 3-5 IOUs, spep 1, pangi 1, woogie 1, and leo 1.

Heya! I’m a big fan of your art and stories but I’m just wondering if you have any plans to update older fics such as Prince and the Baron or The Untold Tale? Because I saw that they’re active but on waitlist but it’s been several years for the Untold tale. So I’m wondering if there’s any plans at all?

Hiya, anon! 💞 I do have plans for them actually! Trust me, as the writer, I want to update my works faster more than any of ya—but not if it’ll sacrifice the writing quality. Presently I’m going down my list so after Truce ch3 is uploaded, it’ll be TUT’s turn. After TUT ch6 will be an intermediary update of either TNOTG ch2 or Truce ch4, and then it’ll be P&B ch5.

I’ve made peace with the unfortunate reality that I’m just a very slow writer 🫠 I blame my inner perfectionist. Because I’m a multifandom writer, I go through a process akin to resetting my memory each time I return to a WIP and having to hardcore reimmerse myself in the fandom. It’s how I can preserve the canon characterizations and each fic’s unique atmosphere because each fic of mine has its own worldbuilding and idiosyncrasies. And that way I don’t get my wires crossed and, y’know, accidentally bring modern Americanisms into my Chinese-novel inspired cultivation danmei fic. Or make a Chinese character say American English or British English or vice versa (y’all don’t want to see Shen Yuan or Blitzø suddenly break character and speak in Cockney, right?)

Truce ch3 is presently shaping up to the longest chapter I’ve ever written which is why it’s taking so long _(:3」∠)_ But I will make up for the wait with a dense-enough chapter to chew through so it’ll be worth the long wait for whichever fic the reader has been waiting patiently for!

The 16th of February 1746 in what became known as the Rout of Moy, Government forces under Lord Louden attempt to capture Prince Charles Edward Stewart at Moy Hall.

Around midnight on 16th/17th February 1746, Lord Loudon, the Commander of the Hanoverian forces in the north, mustered 1500 troops from the Inverness Garrison and set off on the twelve mile march south along General Wade’s Road to Moy in a bid to capture Prince Charles Edward Stuart. The prince, a guest of Lady Anne Mackintosh (Colonel Anne) at Moy Hall, had arrived with a small guard of 50 men, some distance ahead of his retreating Highland Army.

Pitch darkness interspersed with flashing lightning slowed and unsettled the marching men.

Watching the road here, 3 miles from Moy Hall, was an ‘outer guard’ of just five Jacobites led by Donald Fraser, the Moy Blacksmith. He had chosen a spot where he could observe movement on the skyline to the north in darkness, and where he had cover to the south in daylight. Nearby to the east, peat stacks remained out on the moor. Here he planned to harass, and perhaps deceive, the enemy.

As the Hanoverian Column, spearheaded by the Laird of MacLeod and his men approached in the darkness, they were surprised by sudden musket fire and loud war cries urging clansmen to battle. Even the peat stacks threatened in the flashing lightning. Convinced that the whole Highland Army was at hand, Loudon’s men turned in panic and fled back to Inverness, somehow carrying off the body of Donald Ban MacCrimmon, Piper to MacLead and the only fatality of the night. A premonition of his imminent death had been realised.

This skirmish took place two months prior to the Battle of Culloden. Donald Fraser died in 1804 and lies buried in Moy Churchyard.

On the cold, dull but dry afternoon of Saturday l6th April, a sizeable crowd of over 200 people attended the unveiling of a new cairn making the site of the skirmish known as “The Rout of Moy”.

This event was organised mainly by Donald MacAskill of Tomatin, James Ingram of Aberdeen, and James and Elma Singer of Ellon, with valuable assistance from Brian Duff of Forest Enterprise. Building work was carried out by Murdo MacAskill, Fred Jamison and Willie MacAskill, all of Inverness.

The unveiling ceremony was preceded by a stirring demonstration of drumming skills by the Clann an Drumma (4 drummers and a piper) from Glasgow.

During the ceremony wreaths were laid in memory of Donald Ban MacCrimmon, and a one minute silence was observed.

After the ceremony Donald MacAskill thanked the following people for their participation:-

HRH Prince Michael of Albany for unveiling the cairn. Dr Seamus H Grant of Rothiernurchus for his address in Gaelic. Hector MacKenzie of Skye for his prayers. Judith Dyson of Kingussie for playing the lament. Kenneth Borthwick of Dundee for the musket salute.

Afterwards an appreciative large crowd enjoyed the hospitality of the Coleman family at the Tomatin Inn who provided welcoming plates of soup and stovies. Music was provided by Clann an Drumma, Judith Dyson, James Home, Fred Jamison and Andy Shaw. It was a most enjoyable day which will long be remembered by those present.
