40 year old sanji! OK, so I'm not sure if the shoulders r too big or I'm just used to drawing women, lol. This is my first time drawing chest hair it wasn't as bad as I thought it would turn out.

I got into Discworld when I was 14, via the graphic novel of Mort and fell off the deep end once I started the Watch series in 1999. It's one of the pillars of my personality now, has been for almost 25 years.

I'm so grateful it is.

Well, that was a quiet birthday that came and gone. The big 4-0. Pretty good for leveling this existence for that long. I’m grateful to spend the past 12 years of that 40 with you all. Here is to another lifetime worth of fun with everyone who is willing to stay by this thief’s side. I’ll be celebrating for the rest of the month, so theres no rush. I’m not going anywhere.

This day was the last ever Saturday that the two Big Blues were aged forty, that milestone age (Sorry, canon-stickers, but chronology says so :P ), even though Sonic obviously wasn't physically there, because he's far too famous and busy, being one of the universe's biggest celebrities. This pixel GIF should be topped off with a chiptune-sounding remake of Eiffel 65’s Blue.

On s’est payé un petit feu d’artifice pour notre anniv’ et pas des moindre : des belles explosions en papier découpé animées en stop-motion crée lors d’un atelier public. Cette petite merveille à été projetée sur la façade de la Maison le samedi soir avec gâteau et bar à crémant juste avant le concert explosif de U KAN DANZ !

Lo scorso anno ho compiuto quarant’anni.

Ci ho messo un anno per capire cosa abbia significato per me. Pensandoci, è stato come fiorire, in un modo spontaneo e irrefrenabile.

Superate le aspettative (ovviamente "disattese") dei trenta ho capito che in realt�� potevo liberarmi da un sacco di costrizioni, generalmente auto-imposte, e lasciare andare. Lasciare sbocciare idee, sensazioni, colori e parti di me che non avevo mai nemmeno immaginato – eppure erano lì, ad aspettarmi.

Ho analizzato i miei meccanismi mentali, capito i pensieri irrazionali e le trappole in cui a volte cado, e finalmente ho un rapporto sano con il mio corpo, che vedo per quello che è: un corpo forte e flessibile, anche attraente, in equilibrio con la testa a cui è attaccato, che mi sostiene e in cui mi piace stare. Vorrei avere avuto questa consapevolezza prima 🌼✨
