I love how these older auto transmission shifters work compared to later models.

(From the Del Sol owner's manual) You can easily shift these like a manual because the shifter moves in a straight line, not a dumb zigzag. Makes it more fun too. Essentially works like a sequential 4 speed transmission.

Don't hate on automatics you jerks, our pedals can be to the floor while shifting. No chance of missing a gear, lol. 🍻

The way it used to be before the electronic tide came rolling in and put a chip in everything and made it almost impossible to repair our cars without a computer and its diagnostic software charging the common man an arm and a leg for a written diagnostic of a car ,to tell you ,you need new spark plugs! Remember how it used to be even changing a light bulb was easy and cheap. No headaches, all you needed was a Phillip screwdriver and a new lightbulb.We didn’t mind getting our hands dirty,no need for manuals ,we use our noodle and the rest was relatively simple, yes here and there rust got in the way ,but in 1961 a god sent WD-40 made its debut and things got much easier. Well,nowadays everything is compact this compact that all manufactured parts came from China ,whatever happened to parts manufactured in the USA or Germany were quality wise was far superior than cheap labor China trademark.Those of us who preferred a standard transmission versus an automatic one knew that the big wigs from the car industry were hungry and greedy for more profits ,naturally and the car wars had a start.Well,more in future postings.Words by Sergio GuymanProust.
