i let out an annoyed groan, throwing my head back in frustration at the tough problem. my hands shoot up to cover my face, brushing back the loose strands left behind from my messy bun. "chris, this is way too hard. did we ever even learn this shit?" by now, chris and i have been studying for hours on end and have made zero progress. "c'mon y/n. i know you can get this. we learned it last year in mrs. watt's class."
i shoot him a sidelong glance. "and you believe anyone paid attention? her voice was so annoying." he shakes his head. "i liked her." i smirk softly, seeing the perfect opportunity to tease chris. "if you like her so much why don't you marry her." he rolls his eyes at my corny insult, a small pout appearing on his lips. "she was sweet. plus, she taught some awesome stuff. like, i learned that the shortest war recorded in history was 38 minutes! like, how in the hell did it last so shortly?"
i remove my hands from my face, dropping them onto my thighs that were covered by my white pajama pants. i look at chris as he speaks, not really listening to what he's rambling about, just observing his looks. i always thought chris was cute.
no matter how nerdy he was, or those stupid clear glasses he wore that never stayed up fully on his face, he was always attractive. his features were just perfect, they seemed to just draw me into his world of clumsy and dorky behavior.
his sharp jawline, his long fingers, the way his tone always changed whenever he talked about something he enjoyed. it made me feel all tingly. i feel a heat start to grow between my legs, it slowly starting to ache.
i subtly shift, becoming more restless by every second. "hello? y/n, did you hear even a word of what i said?" he says, a frown creasing his face, an expression of concern taking over. i nod, slowly taking my bottom lip in between my teeth, gently gnawing. "yeah, i'm fine..hey chris, how about you go over problem 'a' again? i wanna make sure i really get down the material."
he nods, letting out a soft sigh, tilting his head downwards. as he looks down at my notebook, he lifts up two fingers, gently pushing up his glasses as he searches for the problem again, flipping through the pages and scanning them thoroughly.
i can't help but look at the fingers, the two so long and slim. as he searches through the pages to find the equation, i reach out, placing the palm of my hand on his inner thigh. his head whips towards me, his eyes widened with shock. "y-y/n, what are you doing?"
i smile softly at his naive worry. "shh, chris it's fine. aren't you tired of studying? we've been at it since like-" i let out a soft scoff of amusement. "what, 4 pm?" he looks at the desk, too nervous to share our gaze. "well, yeah, b-but-"
my lips smash onto his, cutting off his nervous rebut. the kiss is what you'd expect from a single, lonely and horny teenager; our teeth mashing against each other, his hands anxiously gripping and fidgeting the plastic of the spinning chair he was sitting in.
as we pull away from the kiss for a breath, he tries to say his reasoning. "i-i got hired to help by your parents y/n, you have to pass this quiz!" he whisper shouts. i roll my eyes, continuing the kiss. i slip my tongue into his mouth, in reaction to that he lets out a surprised gasp against my lips.
my left hand trails up chris's chest, gently feeling chris's body through the thin layer of his button up. he mumbles against my lips, not wanting to pull away. "w-wait, y/n." i hum softly against his soft pink lips. "y/n." he gently pulls away, leaving only a small amount of space between him and i.
"what?" i answer, looking in between his eyes. he clears his throat, glancing behind me to my door which was cracked open. "uhm, we-we should close the door." he mumbles, standing up and speedwalking to the door. he shuts the door, but not without locking it.
click.
he comes back over to my desk, to which i stand, trailing my left hand up from his collarbone to the back of neck, pulling him in for another kiss. as my lips land on his, this time around the kiss is much gentler and more passionate. his hands shakily rest on my waist, his thumbs rubbing sub conscious circles and shapes on my stomach.
i lead us to my bed, parting our lips to gently push him down to sit on the bed. i drop down to my knees, my hands reaching up for his belt when he stops me once again. "i've never done anything like this before.." i smile softly and his innocence. "so i'm your first?" he nods shyly, a light coat of blush shooting through his cheeks.
i slip the belt out from the loops of his jeans, him unbuttoning them and lifting his hips to take them off. once off, i can see his eager erection through his grey boxers.
holy shit.
my eyes widen at the sight, not expecting such a shy kid like chris to be packing such a length. chris swallows hard, on edge from my reaction. "is-is that bad?.." i look up at chris, shaking my head. "no, not at all. i'm just really surprised." he nods, a sense of pride inflating his chest.
i smile at the sight of his leaking tip as i tug down his boxers. he whimpers softly as the cold air from the fan hits his shaft. i gently wrap my hand around him, holding up his girthy length.
he whines softly, his head thrown back against the sheets, eyes shut with anticipation. i gently press soft kisses amongst the prominent veins running along his shaft. he lets out a soft moan, twitching in excitement from any sort of touch. "f-fuck, please don't tease me, wan' it so bad." he rambles.
i can't help but want to grin at how pathetic it is, how he's begging. i wrap my lips around his red needy tip, dipping my tongue out to swirl around his head. he moans out before clamping a hand over his mouth, trying to hold back noises as his hips try to thrust up into my mouth, desperate.
"o-oh, shit." he mutters. he tilts head forward and off of the bed, wanting to get a better look at the sinful scene. his hands gently tangle up into my hair, to which i remove almost immediately, pinning his wrists to his sides.
i lower my head, taking in as much as i can, feeling tears prickle down the corners of my eyes as his tip hits the back of my throat. he lets out small whimpers, his hands fighting the urge to thread throughout my hair. i pull off, his head whipping up at the loss of contact, a moan of neediness eliciting from him.
"wha-why'd you stop?" he says, a small pout covers his wettened lips. i smile condescendingly, standing up and slipping off my sweatpants, watching the way his eyes follow the whole time as the clothing falls down my thighs and to my ankles. "cause i don't want you to cum that quickly baby."
he swallows hard, looking back up at me, finally meeting my gaze. "i-i wan' see you.." i hum softly, teasingly slipping off my panties at a slow pace. "be patient baby, know you can.." he whimpers at my sweet manipulative tone.
god he's so pitiful.
i straddle him, his hands gravitate up to my waist. i quickly take off the sweater that i stole from chris' closet at one of our earlier study sessions. his hands immediately fly to my covered breasts, groping the light-colored fabric of my bra, his mouth open and eyes wide.
i reach down, positioning chris to line up with my dripping cunt. i slowly sink down, a stifled moan barely escaping my lips as the slight burning sensation fills my insides. chris' eyes slam shut, moaning soft pretty moans that is like music to my ears.
i continue sinking down, finally bottoming out. i take a minute, trying to adjust to chris' lengthy shaft.
i gently rock against him, rolling my hips. he grunts, his thumbs drawing sub conscious circles onto the skin of my hips. i begin to bounce, letting out soft whimpers.
he almost immediately moans out, his eyes tight with pleasure. "fuuuck, y/n, shit that feels so good." i let out soft moans, observing the way his facial expressions contort in pleasure with every bounce.
"oh chris, you fucking like that right?" he nods, his eyes rolled back in pleasure as he desperately grips the bed sheets. i lean forward, planting my hands onto chris' chest for balance as i bounce vigorously, the sinful noises of our bodies connecting against each other repeatedly filling the room could make me cry out in pleasure.
"s-so fucking, ugh tight." he whines. i lean forward, kissing chris hungrily. my hand trails up to his jaw, caressing the stubble littered on his face. "so wet, oh fuck, it feels too good y/n, oh my god," he whimpers softly, "i-i'm close."
i nod, whining softly. "oh yeah? fuck baby, cum. let go f'me, cmon i know you can." he groans loudly, his hands move to my ass, gripping me tightly. "g-god, cumming!" i feel his dick twitch inside me as his impending release washes over in a bliss. he moans as his thick white spurts of cum coat my insides, the warm feeling of fullness pushing me over the edge, releasing on his dick. he helps me ride out my waves of pleasure as we catch our breath, my head tucked into his neck as i pant heavily.
after minutes of laying still, i gently lift my head. i see the thin layer of sweat that coats his forehead, his brown strands of hair sticking to his face, his expression tired.
i smile softly, holding back a giggle. "..are you ready to go over the material now?"

A 2015 YouGov survey of 7000 adults found that 62% of regular church goers were middle class and 38% working class. The same 2015 survey found that twice as many married working class men had never attended church compared to middle class men (17% compared to 9%). Voas and Watt (2014) conducted research on behalf of the Church of England and made three observations not directly about social class, but relevant to it. Firstly, church attendance is higher in rural areas compared to urban areas. Secondly, church attendance is higher in the South of England compared to the North. Thirdly, they noted growth in church attendance in areas which had high performing church primary and secondary schools. All of these indicators suggest higher church attendance in middle class compared to working class areas. Ashworth and Farthing (2007) found that, for both sexes, those in middle class jobs had above average levels of church attendance. Conversely, those in skilled, semi-skilled and unskilled working class jobs had below average church attendance. Welfare recipients had the lowest levels of church attendance.

In 2021 the limited series on the career of designer Halston (Roy Halston Frowick, portrayed by Ewan McGregor) waltzed down Netflix's catwalk. Now we have at least three series chronicling the lives and careers of designers.
Currently on Disney+ in Europe is the exquisite CRISTÓBAL BALENCIAGA centering on, guess who? Spanish designer Cristobal Balenciaga, starring Alberto San Juan (Reyes De La Noche) as Balenciaga.
Tumblr media
It's an interesting story about this enigmatic fashion genius that shows his steadfastness in his devotion to fashion to the sacrifice, some may say, of ethics due to the fact that while other fashion houses were shut down during Germany's occupation of some parts of France, he readily made clothes for the significant others of German soldiers.
Tumblr media
The series also shines a light on Balenciaga's relationship with his creative partner and love-of-his-life Wladzio d'Attainville (played by Thomas Coumans).
Tumblr media
Among the designers who appear or are name-checked in CRISTÓBAL BALENCIAGA is Christian Dior and Coco Chanel. These two fashion legends will appear in AppleTV+'s upcoming mini-series THE NEW LOOK with Ben Mendelsohn as Dior and Juliette Binoche as Coco Chanel and takes place during Germany's occupation of France.
Tumblr media
youtube
THE NEW LOOK will feature covers of classics by Florence + and The Machine, Lana del Rey, The 1975, Perfume Genius and more.
Sometimes this year (at least I hope this year) will be KAISER KARL (apparently the title may be changed) starring Daniel Brühl as Kunty Karl Lagerfeld
Tumblr media Tumblr media
centering on him as a 38-year old trying to break into the Parisian world of high fashion where he finds himself in competition with he finds himself in competition with French fashion giants like Yves Saint Laurent.
The only Yves Saint Laurent depiction worth a damn. RIP beautiful Gaspard Ulliel
What is fashion if there's no one to wear it? For example, the high society ladies that will be depicted in the upcoming installment of FX's FEUD: CAPOTE VS. THE SWANS.
Tumblr media
Hopefully this series will do justice to the mythos behind writer Truman Capote's nuclear fall out with the so-called Swans - a moniker Capote gave the socialites whose company he kept and whose secrets he didn't.
Playing Capote is Tom Hollander
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Naomi Watts as Babe Paley, wife of CBS founder William S. Paley (which the annual PaleyFest is named after), Diane Lane as Slim Keith, ex-wife of famed director Howard Hawks, producer Leland Hayward amongst others; Calista Flockhart as Lee Radziwill, sister of Jacqueline Kennedy Onassis, Demi Moore Ann Woodward who got her place in society by being the wife of a banking heir,
Demi, that looks like a flamingo, not a swan.
Tumblr media
Chloe Sevigny as Andy Warhol and Salvador Dali muse C.Z. Guest, Molly Ringwald as JoAnne Carson, ex-wife of late-night talk show host Johnny Carson and the only Swan who remained friends with Capote after his ouster from their social circle.
Tumblr media
TBT Elle magazine getting animated with fashion.
Goofy as Kunty Karl Lagerfeld.

This Mortal Coil - It’ll End in Tears (1984)
Forty years ago today, on October 1, 1984, It’ll End in Tears, the first album by music collective This Mortal Coil, was released. The brainchild of 4AD label head Ivo Watts-Russell, the informal collaboration of 4AD label mates featured members of Cocteau Twins, Dead Can Dance, Colourbox, the Wolfgang Press, Howard Devoto and others. The album reached number 38 on the UK albums chart, but its two singles—Tim Buckley’s “Song to the Siren” performed by Elizabeth Fraser and Robin Guthrie of Cocteau Twins and Big Star’s “Kangaroo” performed by Simon Raymonde and Gordon Sharp—were quite successful. Both were top 3 tracks on the UK Indie Chart with “Song to the Siren” spending an impressive 101 weeks on the list. The label would expand the roster to include representatives of more bands and eventually release two more albums—all three are considered dream pop classics.

Access For All. Period.
Free pads and tampons are now available throughout Manitoba as part of the Access for All Period program, led by the Manitoba government. This program is focused on ending period poverty by providing equal access to menstrual products for all.
What is period poverty?
Period poverty is the inability to access or afford menstrual products, preventing youth and adults who menstruate from participating in their everyday lives.
Why is this important?
Removing barriers to access menstrual products is crucial to the physical and mental health of all who menstruate. A lack of proper access can result in dangerous situations, leading to both short and long term physical harm, as well as mental health issues including anxiety, depression and self-isolation. For students, it can negatively impact attendance and participation, affecting long-term achievement and resulting in missed educational and employment opportunities.
How does the program work?
The Manitoba government, in partnership with Shoppers Drug Mart, is providing readily available pads and tampons free to those in need. Products are available to all Manitobans in schools and community organizations as listed below. Free menstrual products are also available at participating shelters throughout the province through the Access for All Period program.

Okay, since I am extremely bored, I am doing the second edition of the RWBY Hottest Character Poll. A few characters are different from the first one; for example, Oobleck isn't on this one, and I don't think Jinn was in the first one but she's in the second one.
Anyway.
List of Characters:
1) Blake Belladonna
2) Yang Xiao Long
3) Weiss Schnee
4) Jaune Arc
5) Nora Valkyrie
6) Lie Ren
7) Ambrosius
8) Qrow Branwen
9) Raven Branwen
10) Young María Calavera
11) Coco Adel
12) Velvet Scarlatina
13) Yatsuhashi Daichi
14) Fox Alistair
15) Neopolitan
16) Roman Torchwick
17) Cinder Fall
18) Emerald Sustrai
19) Mercury Black
20) Salem
21) Ozpin
22) OG Ozma
23) James Ironwood
24) Winter Schnee
25) Pyrrha Nikos
26) Kali Belladonna
27) Ghira Belladonna
28) Sun Wukong
29) Neptune Vasilias
30) Marrow Amin
31) Taiyang Xiao Long
32) Harriet Bree
33) Sienna Khan
34) Clover Ebi
35) Scarlet David
36) Nolan Porfirio
37) Amber
38) Vine Zeki
39) Elm Ederne
40) Jacques Schnee
41) Adam Taurus
42) Ilia Amitola
43) Saphron Cotta-Arc
44) Terra Cotta-Arc
45) Jinn
46) Summer Rose
47) Caroline Cordovin
48) Sage Ayana
49) Tyrian Callows
50) Arthur Watts
51) Robyn Hill
52) May Marigold
53) Fionna Thyme
54) Joanna Greenleaf
55) Hazel Rainart
56) Klein Sieben
57) Willow Schnee
58) Neon Katt
59) Vernal
60) Flynt Coal
61) Glynda Goodwitch
62) Leonardo Lionheart
63) Rhodes
64) Blacksmith Lady
Obviously, just like in the first one, I didn't add underage characters such as Ruby, Oscar or Whitley. Pyrrha is there because since her confirmed birthday was on April and the Vytal Festival took place in the Fall, then she had most likely turned 18 by volume 3.
I randomized all the pairs, but still I made sure most guys were with other guys because considering how gay this fandom is, all the guys would be out of the poll in the first round if they were against women.

the scene im answering this questions tag thing in is me and my clones are having a sleepover and we go on omegle as activity and @transgenderer relays to me these questions:
favorite color: black, gold, the most ultramarine blue tone u can make, nobody disagrees with anybody here, they all reign on equal thrones. 2 master carpenters were executed, one because a previous iiteration of the thrones was unequal in height and one because one of the thrones was a couple grams heavier than the others.
currently reading: im still on blindsight by peter watts i havent progressed much cuz i havent had the moods but next week i do a 13 hour train ride
currently watching: 1 episode of sopranos a day with 2 italians. they always giggle when they say italian stuff, or try to say stuff but butcher it badly. i saw it once 3 yrs ago but this is giving it a sweet new angle
last song: something off of lingua ignotas caligula. i downloaded the entire album as one mp3 file so now i dont know which one is playing. whatever song is at 52:42
currently craving: i ate much today, im scanning the grocery store currently for what else i could add ontop. um. something small,. i want these instant noodles, when i visit my parents my dad gifts me them sometimes, they dont taste comparable to many other things, long weird aftertaste, awesome af
Tumblr media
coffee or tea: coffee, a tea is ok sometimes but i made coffee really work for me by making it supersweet always and also only ever drinking it maximum 1 time a week and only ever if i want to draw with it. and the joy of drawing and sugar conditioned me really well into putting me into a good mood just by drinking a cofe, which in turn helps the picture
hobby i want to try: now the clones chime in again, i want to learn music making one day, i want to learn to sing better because its fun, third clone says spearfishing and we look at her weird. thats a hobby for when im like 38. yea i know its good to have a couple cards to play in the mid to lategame already set up in your mind.
the mentioning of spearing an animal triggers an alarm on summer transgenderers computer, no cruelty on this machine allowed and so it automatically disconnects from the call. we thought the questions fun and invite @dogheadhermitsshed @milk5 @swordoftheberserkgutsrage @claws10mileslong @cetitan i think that spreads the spores good. a good net to invite more from there on

My Favorite Records of the 21st Century
This century is already a quarter of the way over. I think twenty-five years is long enough to wait to make my first list of favorite albums of this century. So, I thought I’d go ahead since I’m not sure I’ll be around long enough to do a half century list. It’s been a pretty good first quarter musically – at least good enough to bother making a list of the best 40 records. Given how wretched the 1990s were, I couldn’t be more surprised. The list reflects my diversity of taste, and my attachment to artists that debuted last century. But a few “new kids” were able to break through. All of these albums were new releases, and the year of release follows each artist’s name.
  1. Doll Revolution – The Bangles (2003)

i keep seeing a post with this image, and like
Tumblr media
the math doesn't work out for this? Like at all?
tl;dr; using ai image generation MIGHT be cheaper than prison slave labor, if you're making over a thousand queries to it per hour for each person replaced. stuff like chatgpt is even cheaper
the paper Power Hungry Processing: Watts Driving the Cost of AI Deployment? goes into the energy cost of AI. it mentions that out of the machine learning models they studied, image generators were by far the most energy-intensive, with an average energy consumption of 2.907 kWh per 1,000 queries. that sounds like a lot! but how much does that cost?
according to the US' Energy Information Administration, the average cost of electricity varies by sector. let's go with the commercial one for this. on average, electricity costs about 0.132$ per kWh for them. which means that 1,000 queries of ai image generation would cost a grand total of about 38 cents on average. 0.38$. and that's just focusing on the most energy-heavy machine learning model type; text generators, like chatgpt, cost less than a cent per 1,000 queries on average
(as for the prison slave labor comparison, Prison Policy Initiative mentions that, for commercial labor in the US, the average minimum is 0.14$/hour and average maximum is 0.63$ per hour. state-owned businesses pay more)
there's one question left; what about *training* the models? that one's harder for me to find data on. i did find sources mentioning that gpt-3 took about 1,287,000 kWh of energy to train, which would cost about 170,000$ using the previous metric. that's *actually* a lot! but it's also worth remembering that once it's trained, you can just copy it and distribute it like that. so at that point, it depends on total usage. considering gpt-3 has been used in multiple other things such as github copilot and ai dungeon, it seems likely that it's been queried a lot, resulting in its cost-per-query from training to be pretty low (but i can't find solid statistics on this; if any y'all have some lmk!)
so basically ai image generation might be cheaper than prison slave labor if you're doing thousands of prompts an hour, and it's definitely cheaper than paying an actual artist. which is why businesses are using it to replace actual artists. text generators like chatgpt are even cheaper than that.
this, of course, does not take into account *quality* of the output; it's valid to argue that despite ai image gen being thousands of times cheaper than artists, it shouldn't be used anyway because it Sucks. nor does it take into account any ethical issues which i won't go into here.

BATMM FF! AU: age and lifespan
Tumblr media
They're all listed highest to lowest. (Also the age hc is inspired by meliskindachildishlol)
★ Zeg: 3,517
★ Stripes: 28
★ Starla: 27
★ Watts: 26
★ Blaze: 25 (current: 38)
★ Crusher: 23 (current: 36)
★ Darington: 21
★ Pickle: 19
Tumblr media
🌊 vehicle lifespan:
Cars and trucks tend to live longer than humans depending how they take good care of themselves. Ages of cars are mostly recorded about 100-300 years old but some can live very long and some don't.
Also it makes more sense for Zeg to be the oldest and biggest from the gang because he's a dinosaur duh! /lh
Tumblr media
Little more info dump about my age facts:
Pickle being the second oldest sibling in his family, Lilly is 21, Milly is 18, Frilly is 17, Tilly is 16 and Gherkin is honestly idk.

The Impact of Floor Lamps on Home Aesthetics
Floor lamps are not just sources of illumination; they are also significant elements of home decor that can enhance the ambiance and style of any room. When selecting a floor lamp, it's crucial to consider its intended use, whether for reading, accent lighting, or simply as a decorative piece. A well-chosen floor lamp can click here create a warm and inviting atmosphere, while also serving a functional purpose. Let's delve into how to choose the perfect floor lamp for your space, considering factors such as brightness, style, and energy efficiency.
Choosing the Right Floor Lamp for Your Needs
Floor lamps come in various heights and styles, and they can serve multiple purposes in a home. They can be a primary light source, a reading aid, or a piece of decorative flair. When shopping for a floor lamp, it's essential to determine its primary function.
If the lamp is intended for reading or tasks that require bright light, the bulb should emit a strong, focused light. A reading floor lamp typically needs a bulb of at least 120 watts, but with advancements in lighting technology, LED bulbs can provide ample brightness with much lower wattage, saving energy and reducing electricity costs. Halogen bulbs, known for their bright white light, can also be an option, though they tend to be less energy-efficient than LEDs.
For Decoration
When a floor lamp is used for decorative purposes, the brightness is less critical. In this case, the lamp should offer a softer glow that complements the room's design without overpowering it. The lamp's height should align with eye level when seated, usually between 38 to 42 inches, to avoid direct glare.
Style and Size Considerations
The lampshade's width influences the light's spread; a broader shade will illuminate a larger area. The lamp's size should harmonize with the room's furniture and overall scale. For instance, a large sofa pairs well with a more substantial lamp. Floor lamps are available in styles ranging from modern and contemporary to traditional and country, with finishes like brass, bronze, brown, and gold tone.
Energy Efficiency and Cost
It's important to consider the bulb's wattage for both functionality and energy consumption. Higher wattage bulbs consume more power, leading to higher electricity bills. However, modern LED bulbs can provide the same level of brightness with much lower wattage, making them a cost-effective and environmentally friendly choice.
The price of floor lamps varies widely, from as low as $15 to upwards of $1000, with contemporary designs often carrying a higher price tag due to their unique aesthetics. Investing in a branded floor lamp is recommended for durability and quality assurance, as less reputable brands may offer cheaper options that lack longevity.
Finding the Best Deals
When budgeting for a floor lamp, look for discounts in newspapers, magazines, store catalogs, or online discount sites. Promo codes and sales can help you secure a high-quality lamp at a more affordable price.
