Adrien woke up late that morning. Head foggy and limbs aching, he moved like sludge through his apartment. Hunger gnawed itself through his abdomen.

He knew he’d put off feeding far too long; he had been much too busy the last few days to visit a bank for a quick fix. One bag of blood was about a months worth of food but he knew as a Whole Blood, a fresh feed was better for his system.

As he arrived at work, his demeanor changed, not letting anyone else know of his condition would be best. His kind were easily taken advantage of when hungry and as a higher up, it was important he not let any slimy underlings sway him.

Sukuna tried to suppress the grin from where he sat behind the driver's side, looking around to see if your steward was still around. He waited for the car to be well out of the compound of the mental rehabilitation center before he burst out laughing. The bastard actually pretended to be your lawyer on the phone the previous night to tell your therapist that you needed the pass to get out for a family emergency. He thinks he was being smart doing that when everyone at the facility knew what day it was where you were concerned.

"Enjoy your date," your therapist said to you after your morning session, flashing you a knowing grin before you left, but Sukuna didn't have to know that.

You just shook your head. He lived a dangerous life, used to getting what he wanted when he wanted it – yes, even pulling you out of your supposed confinement to deal with your fragile mental state. You didn't want to burst his bubble by telling him your therapist just really favored you a lot over the possibility that his schemes worked because he thinks he's a good actor. But he did deserve a tiny bit of a dressing down.

"Oh, baby, don't look at me like that. Had to bust ya out of the slammer on your birthday, no?" Sukuna slung an arm over your shoulder, moving his hand down to your waist as he pulled you closer to him. He ran the tip of his nose up the length of your cheek before planting a kiss to your temple, his breath warm on your skin. "I fucking missed ya. You have no idea."

You couldn't lie to him, enjoying the circumstances and the feeling of his warmth, his smell and the sound of his voice engulfing you again after months. "I missed you, too, Kuna."

He broke into a smirk, resting his forehead against yours, all the longing he felt radiating from him as he held you close. "So, where to, princess?"

'Wednesday's child is full of woe,' as that famous poem goes, and though that may be the case, in the middle of all the woes the universe has given and has yet to give you, you had your sun, the center of your gravity, to keep you going.

You cupped his face with both your hands, one of them making its way to the base of his head, playing with his hair. You didn't have to tell him, you both just knew without words and only the smallest of gestures. Today is going to be beyond great as everything with Sukuna was an adventure. Even aging.

"Surprise me."

Once again, doing a batch update because I apparently (read: truly) suck at noting down daily updates. The consolation, though, is that I actually haven't missed a single day of Japanese since I started the No Zero Days Langblr Challenge, though I wish I could be equally active with tracking my progress (since I'm not using any progress tracker at the moment). Read 4x Tadoku Books on Ask Online

Attended a Book Donation Fair organised by the Japan Foundation on 2nd & 3rd February. There were mostly Japanese books there, so I spent a considerable amount of time trying to figure out which books to get by reading the titles and synopsis (with some help from Google Lens😅). It led to some very surprising yet good discoveries – along with ample amounts of reading practice🤓

My current favourite part of Japanese immersion! Continued with more podcast episodes while also watching jdorama and anime!

Started watching the anime The Case Files of Jeweler Richard/宝石商リチャード氏の謎鑑定 on YouTube – it's available on the official channel of Muse Asia! I have only watched the first episode but I'm loving the story so far, especially the main characters Richard & Seigi. The conversations around the precious gems are also very illuminating. It's based on a light novel, so I'd love to read it in Japanese someday. (2nd Feb)

Continued watching the jdorama Kounodori. Finished the 5th episode. Each and every episode of the drama is honestly so heartfelt and emotional. I'm so glad that I gave it a shot🥹

Attended an online Tadoku club meeting where we silently read short Tadoku stories and then discussed them with other members in the meeting. These meetings lend a very good opportunity for speaking practice😀

Week 18.7/52: May 1st - May 7th 2023 | Durian Mochi! 

Catch up day with Vicky. First visit was Car’s Dessert durian mochi. She also gave me a piece of her Taiwanese chicken she had for lunch HAHAHA thank you bwahahhaha. Durian mochi was very yum. Really cold too and a lot of durian inside.

There are undoubtedly a bunch of little things I do that were taken from my different teachers throughout my school life, but one of them is that when I'm making a large batch of something I "line them up like little soldiers" like one of my chefs at the votech always said to do.

It is cool learning something new, but learning two new things at the same time is a bit of exhausting. And I cant seem to grasp that one that I need to and the another is I want to.... Im lost, dont wanna live.
