My World, In a Synopsis.

Born alongside his twin sister, Lily, to parents Edward and Maya Allard, the love provided by his family was destined to set off his life in harmony, only if money wasn't a problem. The money wasn't the problem, actually, it was his parent's heroic acts of justice, being lawyers, they took their oaths to an extreme, finding victims of the wicked society and representing them free of cost in court; the visibility of their bravery wasn't only visible to the media, the NGOs and the oppressed, but unfortunately to the oppressors as well.

It doesn't take much thought or time for a bullet to be fired, however it has the ability to ruin many lives all while taking some.

Losing his parents, he was orphaned at the young age of 8 months, his grandparents, whom were confident enough to disown their own children in the past, upon the lost of their own blood, decided to take one of both siblings for themselves, to raise until their own hearts gave out.

The bolder one of the lot, his paternal grandfather decided to speak up, leading to another two death of his grandparents in the same manner; the boy somehow reached an orphanage, as if he was destined for it, like a cruel cycle of despair.

The neglect and coldness of the orphanage made him run away from it, a bag packed with only a cookie and a picture of his parents in their teen years, his misfortune again struck. Getting hit by a car. That car belonging to a two star General. Little did he know, that was a blessing in disguise, a silver lining, his innocent mind was unaware of the legal and financial troubles that unfolded right after hitting a pedestrian with a vehicle.

His ability to charm anyone and to attach himself to the nearest adult, he eventually warmed the heart of the cold General, General Cyrus. Suffering from chronic loneliness, and his irrational aim of arranging an heir to manage his hierarchy in the military, he ended up adopting the boy.

The boy grew up spoiled yet humble somehow, due to being the wealthy General's only son. He understood the assignment, to reach his father's position in the military; his genius and cunning nature made it easier; along with his pride in himself.

The more you know..

Nepotism, an impressive face-card and his own talent, wits and skills led him to command a unit with more than 3000 troops, in response to their loyalty, he memorized each of their names and birthdays; sending them handwritten cards on it.

Double agent or a double laborer? Little does everyone around him know, he also works as a military detective, keeping tabs on everyone and everything that goes around him.

While all of his other interests might be self claimed, one thing everyone knows about him is that he keeps every living breathing animal he comes across at his unit, whether it's a small bunny, a wild cow, he'd brand it off as military's responsibility, assigning bulky soldiers duty to feed them grass and hay on time.

Centre of attention at all times, sometimes for negative reasons, it's good he has a literal brigade of soldier supporting him.

Self proclaimed anti-hero, this one's true.

Wealthy due to working on a commission bases; most of his money is spent on books, and leaving hefty notes of cash in people's pocket when they aren't looking, like the opposite of a pickpocket.

Doesn't like being called young, although he is 23 years old. Gets really happy when he's compared to a wise and learned old man.

Likes to quote Walt Whitman at any given moment.

His father will go to create lengths to prove his son is right; so much so he himself had to sit his father down and explain to him what a "Karen" is.

Likes to tinker with machines and electrical equipment, often breaks them.

Everyone's favorite, for some miraculous reason.

Leo, his fiancée, the age difference between them is a year, they've been childhood sweetheart. Leo and his father have an alliance of keeping an eye on him; makes sure he's not trying to burst a balloon with a lighter at 3am, the second time.

Romantic in nature, flirts with his fiancée at any given time.

World Differences

Wars between counties scripted out, there's a clear difference between good and bad people.

The London Fire Brigade has released its figures for the money it spent on rescuing animals last year, the total being over half a million pounds.  By far the majority were cats, with the fire brigade being called out to 716 ‘cat related incidents’ in the year.  The most money spent on one rescue was over £3000 which was the bill when two fire engines and a rescue vehicle were called out to the River Thames at Greenwich, where a fox was left stranded on the pier by the rising tide.  The rescuers worked for over four hours on what they called 'Project Fox’.  After this time, during which the fox watched them intently failing to rescue him, the tide went out again and the fox calmly walked back along the mud to freedom.

Ok guys, things are going BAD AND WORST EVERYDAY

Yesterday, on Saturday 26 of March, 2023, what we can call a civil war happened in Sainte-Soline, Deux-Sèvres, France.

A freaking good exemple of "what is legal is not necessarily legit".

Green activist were having a congress about ecology and how to build a virtuous agricultural model that respects people and biodiversity.

Build 16 mega-basin, the biggest one having a 720 billions litres capacity (720 000 000 l.) on 16 hectares of land, with 8 meters high embankment.

The water to fill those basins will be pomp in groundwaters(into the grounds or rivers),it will NOT be rainwater.

This water will be use to irrigate CORN, which don't naturally grow in this part of the world.

This corn will be grown to be exported, or make biogaz, but not to feed animals and humans.

Only 12 farms will benefit of it.

FRENCH PEOPLE are paying for it : since access to water is ALL PUBLIC SERVICE here, and the state is spending 60 billions euros for that, but is NOT the owner of the farms, the state will NEVER have its money back and the French people will never eat that corn.

ON TOP OF THAT most of the country is facing an historical WINTER DROUGHT.

So green activist, farmers and elected greens gathered on the site to protest, despite the prefecture's ban, because our planet cannot wait any longer and water should be a shared good and not for just some farmers. Anyway, our beloved (no) Minister of Home Affairs have been speaking of "how violent it will be" there, despite the ban, speaking of "1000 violents protestors awaited".

What happened :

The prefecture banned every gathering for the weekend, fearing violence as it happened in Notre-Dame-Des-Landes

People came anyway, because ecology is our best chance to survive, moreover after the last GIEC report

3000 policemen (civil) and gendarmes (military) have been sent to guard the construction site.

As you might have understood, things went bad, like REALLY bad.

4.000 grenades thrown by the state's force

3 gendarmes' véhicules burnt.

200 protestors hurt, 28 gendarmes, 5 persons in a life-threatening condition (2 protestors, 3 gendarmes)

Ambulances kept away from the field from the military, despite the injured people needing immediate medical attention.

Well, protests happen EVERYDAY in France. Considering that :

how violent this protest have been,

how fast is our beloved (still no) Minister of Home Affairs to blame far-left and black blocks for every violence during protest

How he used tiredness to justify the violence of the police

How he considers undeclared protestation illegal WHICH IS ABSOLUTELY FALSE

Protests will take place all over the French territory next Tuesday

We already know that there wil be MORE policemen and gendarmes around the protests

Suddenly, it begins to make sense.

Not that I'm considering the recent report from this "Puck" publication legit, but the rumor that Warner Bros. plans to roll out some long-term Looney Tunes project four years from now, under Warner Bros. Pictures Animation's current head Bill Damaschke... It all tells me...

The offloading of THE DAY THE EARTH BLEW UP, and the black-holing of COYOTE VS. ACME and BYE BYE BUNNY makes "sense" now. As much as it can, that is. I am not *at all* justifying what CEO David Zaslav has done to those movies or the company in general...

But this is typical merger/transition shit... Just on a whole new, worrying level...

Where the new leaders have a "new" idea for what to do with a property, and whatever was in the works when they got there that doesn't "factor in" to those plans? It just gets nerfed or neglected.

Hence why Warner Bros. isn't distributing a Looney Tunes animated feature, and opts to not release two other pretty-much completed Looney Tunes films...

Most studios would've just dumped the films, quietly released them. Warner Discovery DOES have a streaming service where they could've done that, but Zaslav chose to shelve the movies. And other projects that didn't fit the vision of what he and his brigade want to do with Warners' divisions going forward. BATGIRL, SCOOB! HOLIDAY HAUNT, and others would like a word...

Kinda-sorta similar to what happened when John Lasseter and Ed Catmull were installed as the heads of Walt Disney Animation Studios after Iger's Disney purchased Pixar in early 2006. Lasseter and Catmull looked at what was in the works there, and dramatically changed almost every movie. Chris Sanders got kicked off of AMERICAN DOG and it became BOLT. RAPUNZEL UNBRAIDED went through two iterations before Lasseter found what he wanted in TANGLED. JOE JUMP was eventually scrapped and reimagined as WRECK-IT RALPH, and an Elton John musical called GNOMEO & JULIET got dropped entirely from their slate.

Instead of cancelling GNOMEO, Lasseter just offloaded it to another animation studio. Disney still distributed the film, curiously, as a Touchstone Pictures release. It's a G-rated movie. Touchstone was always meant for adult-oriented stuff.

Lasseter had of course canceled films every now and then, like GIGANTIC and COSMIC 3000. Like most executives do, but these weren't near-completed movies made into tax write-offs.

After Disney bought 21st Century Fox film/TV assets, the gutting happened. Fox 2000 was discontinued, several in-the-works films - such as Wes Ball's CG MOUSE GUARD adaptation - were halted, Blue Sky Studios was completely shut down and all of their in-development films - such as a picture called FOSTER - were abandoned... NIMONA, their swan song, had gotten pretty along, so Disney didn't completely kill that one, they just let someone else have it.

Other similar stories: When MGM bought United Artists in 1981, THE SECRET OF NIMH was in the works. MGM had seemingly little interest in promoting that film upon its summer 1982 release, and kinda just left it to fend for itself; it didn't do all that great theatrically but later found its audience on video. Warner Bros. bought Turner in 1996, and Turner Animation's picture CATS DON'T DANCE didn't matter to them much. They dumped it in early 1997, and it flopped hard.

What Zaslav is doing is a more extreme version of this kind of thing that happens during and after mergers.

His Warner Bros. could've quietly dumped BATGIRL, SCOOB! HOLIDAY HAUNT, and COYOTE VS. ACME if they weren't interested in them. At the very least, but they chose to play this game. And look, their stocks fell, their financial situation ain't lookin' too hot!

So, now it's starting to make sense to me in THAT PARTICULAR WAY. Again, not a justification of this. I hate this, honestly. If you're like 80-90% done with a movie, just fucking release that thing.

COYOTE VS. ACME, BYE BYE BUNNY, and THE DAY THE EARTH BLEW UP were already in the works by the time Zaslav got there, and he and the new heads just didn't care about them. Okay, fine, but... Still release them. So EARTH BLEW UP saw mercy, but COYOTE VS. ACME and BYE BYE BUNNY didn't... Because they just didn't factor into WB Pictures Animation's new game plan going forward. Neither did SCOOB! HOLIDAY HAUNT, TOTO, and METAL MEN, among other pictures that were in the works there.

Sucks. But if it's true that some new Looney Tunes initiative happens starting in 2028, then that to me is my full answer for why they chose to nerf these movies.

Anyways, keep protesting. Release all of these movies/shows. Zaslav gotta go.

Thinking about how Milleuda isn’t just a proud revolutionary, but someone who has lost all hope of that revolution actually happening, to the point it’s turned her defeatist and suicidal. Like when you first encounter her at the brigands’ den and she says it’s over, even before Ramza’s party arrives. When she immediately follows that up with “it ought not have been like this. my brother was too soft. too indecisive”, implying that she’s disagreed with Wiegraf’s rule for a while but was powerless to change it. Afterwards, when you defeat her and she doesn’t put up a fight at the idea of dying on the battlefield, only at the thought of being denied “the mercy of an honorable death”. At the Lenalia plateau, when she refuses to preemptively surrender, reiterating that she just wants to die a warrior’s death. And it doesn’t even click how bad things were until you listen to the tavern rumors and learn that 3000 brigade members have died, with another 700 being taken captive. Milleuda has watched their whole resistance collapse in on itself, watched all her comrades be slain and disrespected by the aristocracy, knowing that they failed to put even the slightest dent in the nobles’ rule… no wonder she was ready to face death herself.

thinking about spaceship miniature scales, and like how big miniatures from some of the sci-fi I like are

Star Wars Armada doesn't have even a vaguely consistent scale, it has a vaguely sliding scale, so very big ships are smaller scale than the somewhat smaller ships, and fighters are huge (though that's common, at the scales a lot of capital ships are at fighters would be minuscule)

you get a LAAT/le patrol gunship (way way in front) at 1/53, right up to the Executor at 1/30547, not surprising given that ship is 19 kilometres long

X-wing similarly has a sliding scale, though that only ranges between 1/172 (one of the versions of the Tie Advanced) to 1/456 (the Corellian Corvette)

Dropfleet commander has most ships at 1/9150, a properly tiny scale though fighters are at 1/5000, Dropfleet has some nice minis, but not a great variety of styles with only 5 factions

the ships produced by Brigade Models are probably the ships I look at the most veraciously, coming in at approximately 1/3000 with fighters at 1/1500, I'm given to understand this is quite a common scale for spaceship miniatures

so where does this put some of my fave ships? the Kushan mothership (from homeworld) is at least in-game 2138.1m tall, a miniature of it in 1/3000 would be a little over 70cm tall the various frigates, destroyers and Cruisers in the 3-15cm range (frigates in the 100m ish range, destroyers in the 300ish range, and the heavy cruiser 430m). the small but very useful salvage corvet would have a model 1.22cm long

what of the ships of Schlock Mercenary, it's hard to know quite how big many of that comics ships are, we have measurements for the touch-and-go, 450m at when the Toughs first get hold of it, and in that state, a 1/3000 model would be small at 15cm long, but only 10cm following the remodel after Credomar we also know that the serial Peacemaker is 100m long, easy to convert to a 3.3cm model what about Battleplates, the Tunguska is according to the wiki a triangle (equilateral I assume) each side roughly 8km long, and the plate (so ignoring the annieplants) is a little under a kilometre thick. our model at 1/3000, would be a triangle with each side 2.6m long, and maybe 30cm thick, though most later Battleplates are significantly smaller, they still exist in the multi-kilometre range, I think I now know why Armada uses a sliding scale

a couple of things have happened in 2019. first, the “juniors” line has turned into “4+” which is pretty much the same thing but with packaging that doesn’t stick out as much. second, firefighting vehicles have pale yellow accents now. neither of these makes this set interesting. 🚒🚒

this firetruck looks like I should like it, but it has a couple of tragic flaws, both of which involve the new version of the shooting gimmick. first of all, it’s a thing where you squeeze a rubber bulb and a thing protrudes out but doesn’t actually launch, which is very weird and lame. second:

I think that what the cancel mob need to consider is that over 150 million households watched Wednesday when it came out, so them thinking 3000 comments is the thing that’s going to push Netflix to fire him is delusional.
