for those of you that live in small, rural areas like me, especially in the south, i just want to say please have hope and know that your surroundings are not indicative of the opinions and viewpoints of the majority of people ❤️
#the fact that i only see trump/vance signs whenever i’m driving around my small town#it really frustrates and disappoints me at times#but#i went to my therapy appt in athens today#a larger city in ga#about 30-40 mins from my town#and i always used to think that it was still a predominantly republican area#but nope!#all harris/walz#everywhere#god it’s so refreshing to see!!#don’t let ppl fool you#just bc the maga party is loud and obnoxious#and just bc that’s what you’re used to seeing in your area#(like me)#it’s not the whole picture#remember that it’s people who vote#not land#not 100 acre ranches#not farmland#it’s people that decide#and there’s a lot of us#stay strong 🫂🫶#vote#elections

Sometimes being environmentally friendly/conscious is out of people's price range.
#Just something to keep in my mind...#we need to fight to hold the biggest polluters accountable: corporations#and maybe stop haranguing poor people who literally don't have that extra dollar to spend on a green-washed product#I wish I could eliminate all of the lawn/grass from my property... but it costs a small fortune to turn disgusting turf into permaculture#but plants seeds beds soil equipment is all so expensive#I got some trees and raspberries from out local department of soil and water conversation's annual sale for much cheaper than any nursery..#my friends bought me a 5 foot spruce tree a couple years ago... it was $500#enough clover seed to cover half an acre costs $60... and it will only really take if I could've afford to have all the grass/lawn removed#wildflower seeds for 100 square feet were $30.#none of this stuff is going to grow if I can't protect it from the overpopulated herds of vermin town deer#fencing is incredibly expensive and literally nothing else works#they ate all the new growth off my Spruce tree the first year and stunted its growth#I have bolts of tulle handed down to me and I've had to wrap my trees for fuck's sake in netting so they don't get destroyed#like okay... I absolutely loathe grass lawns but I understand why people have them#they're impossible to get rid of unless you're incredibly wealthy

Good news for conservation
Youth leader Maya Tilousi shakes hands with Joe Biden on the day he signed a proclamation establishing the Baaj Nwaavjo I’tah Kukveni Ancestral Footprints of the Grand Canyon National Monument, at the Historic Red Butte Airfied in Tusayan, Arizona.
About 41 million acres, an area slightly larger than Florida, has been placed under new protection across public and private lands during Biden’s term, meaning about 13% of the US landmass is now protected from corporate exploitation.
The White House has a goal to conserve 30% of US land and water by 2030.

Washitaw Dugdumoundya - go see for yourself
information for the public about the Nation of people who are indigenous to the American continent. Many people are unaware that this Nation of people even exists at all. We are a multicultural, highly spiritual nation of aboriginal, indigenous Americans who were originally called Washitaw Mu’urs (or Ouachita as it was amended by others throughout our history). We accept both lineal and non-lineal citizens into our Nation. We DO NOT discriminate based on race or religion, as this is the heart of God and of our current Empress, Her Highness, Verdiacee “Tiari” Washitaw-Tunica (Turner) Goston El Bey. Her Highness Previous Spiritual Advisor of Spiritual Education and Information of the Ministry, Oukhara Zeshera, states No Longer Advisor), “All of us within our nation are creations of the Divine Creator, and we are all our Brothers and Sisters. We need to learn our past spirituality, so we can build as a nation. Remember, the first principle in Washitaw is LOVE!”
Imperial Royal Court French & Spanish “The Washitaw de Dugdahmoundyah was recorded as The Oldest Indigenous People on Earth in the final list of all attendees.”
In 1993, The Washitaw Indigenous Nation of Mound Builders received its United Nations number: 215/93. To date, the Empress, as one of the living heirs of Henry Turner, has recovered the title to 68,883 acres of land comprising most of the northern part of the ‘said state of Louisiana. The Washitaw never drew boundaries, We are the original inhabitants of all the lands from wherever you find mound sites you find part of the Empire in so called north America
( A-Meri- Ta ). The one letter rule change one letter to hide the truth they change the letter ” T ” into “C” from Meri-Ta, to A-meri-ca.
The area from Alleghenies to the Rocky Mountains, from Canada down to the Gulphe of Mexico, including East and west Floridaes: and the Pecos River, encompasses the domain of the Empire Washitaw de Dugdahmoundyah. A land mass over 30 million acres. This is one of the regions that the United States claim as part of the Louisiana Purchase. It’s the same region Abraham Lincoln coined as, The Egypt of the West.
The Ancient and Medieval American Mississippian culture 500-1500 AD
Going down a deep dive of the Mississippian mound culture of precolumbian United States.
I knew some stuff about the topic, pretty basic and precursory information, but now I think I'm gonna do some more in depth research. It's just fascinating to learn how throughout the Mississippi river region and deep south there were large cities that rivaled medieval cities in Europe with populations in the tens of thousands. Cahokia Illinois for example.
And they made all kinds of really cool artifacts
They had trade routes all over North America. For example copper from the Great Lakes region, shells from the Atlantic and Gulf Coast, and Obsidian from Mexico. In addition their own goods have been found exported to archaeological sites all over North America.
Then around the 14th century the Little Ice Age started, which was basically a sudden drop in global temperatures lasting until the mid 19th century, which resulted in crop failures and famine worldwide. In addition large populations were already stretching the food resources and agriculture of the area. This resulted in the decline of urban culture among the Mississippians. At the time in Eurasia the same was happening, which helped bring about the Black Death. So there were hard times all around. The 14th century was a bad time to be alive almost everywhere. Final collapse occurred in the 16th century when smallpox swept through the Americas after European contact.
Unfortunately for us they had no system of writing, at least none that can be found. So we will probably never know their story and history as well as say the ancient Romans. All that we know is pieced together through archaeological findings and oral history of their modern descendants.
Anyway I'm gonna find some good audiobooks to listen to on the subject while I do my weightlifting.

Things Biden and the Democrats did, this week #16
April 26-May 3 2024
President Biden announced $3 billion to help replace lead pipes in the drinking water system. Millions of Americans get their drinking water through lead pipes, which are toxic, no level of lead exposure is safe. This problem disproportionately affects people of color and low income communities. This first investment of a planned $15 billion will replace 1.7 million lead pipe lines. The Biden Administration plans to replace all lead pipes in the country by the end of the decade.
President Biden canceled the student debt of 317,000 former students of a fraudulent for-profit college system. The Art Institutes was a for-profit system of dozens of schools offering degrees in video-game design and other arts. After years of legal troubles around misleading students and falsifying data the last AI schools closed abruptly without warning in September last year. This adds to the $29 billion in debt for 1.7 borrowers who wee mislead and defrauded by their schools which the Biden Administration has done, and a total debt relief for 4.6 million borrowers so far under Biden.
President Biden expanded two California national monuments protecting thousands of acres of land. The two national monuments are the San Gabriel Mountains National Monument and the Berryessa Snow Mountain National Monument, which are being expanded by 120,000 acres. The new protections cover lands of cultural and religious importance to a number of California based native communities. This expansion was first proposed by then Senator Kamala Harris in 2018 as part of a wide ranging plan to expand and protect public land in California. This expansion is part of the Administration's goals to protect, conserve, and restore at least 30 percent of U.S. lands and waters by 2030.
The Department of Transportation announced new rules that will require car manufacturers to install automatic braking systems in new cars. Starting in 2029 all new cars will be required to have systems to detect pedestrians and automatically apply the breaks in an emergency. The National Highway Traffic Safety Administration projects this new rule will save 360 lives every year and prevent at least 24,000 injuries annually.
The IRS announced plans to ramp up audits on the wealthiest Americans. The IRS plans on increasing its audit rate on taxpayers who make over $10 million a year. After decades of Republicans in Congress cutting IRS funding to protect wealthy tax cheats the Biden Administration passed $80 billion for tougher enforcement on the wealthy. The IRS has been able to collect just in one year $500 Million in undisputed but unpaid back taxes from wealthy households, and shows a rise of $31 billion from audits in the 2023 tax year. The IRS also announced its free direct file pilot program was a smashing success. The program allowed tax payers across 12 states to file directly for free with the IRS over the internet. The IRS announced that 140,000 tax payers were able to use it over their target of 100,000, they estimated it saved $5.6 million in tax prep fees, over 90% of users were happy with the webpage and reported it quicker and easier than companies like H&R Block. the IRS plans to bring direct file nationwide next year.
The Department of Interior announced plans for new off shore wind power. The two new sites, off the coast of Oregon and in the Gulf of Maine, would together generate 18 gigawatts of totally clean energy, enough to power 6 million homes.
The Biden Administration announced new rules to finally allow DACA recipients to be covered by Obamacare. Deferred Action for Childhood Arrivals (DACA) is an Obama era policy that allows people brought to the United States as children without legal status to remain and to legally work. However for years DACA recipients have not been able to get health coverage through the Obamacare Health Care Marketplace. This rule change will bring health coverage to at least 100,000 uninsured people.
The Department of Health and Human Services finalized rules that require LGBTQ+ and Intersex minors in the foster care system be placed in supportive and affirming homes.
The Senate confirmed Georgia Alexakis to a life time federal judgeship in Illinois. This brings the total number of federal judges appointed by President Biden to 194. For the first time in history the majority of a President's nominees to the federal bench have not been white men.
#Thanks Biden#Joe Biden#student loans#loan forgiveness#lead poisoning#clean water#DACA#health care#LGBT rights#queer kids#taxes#tax the rich

Damn, here I was thinking we might be at the next green Sahara period.
How the dara was manipulated to create the climate change hoax.
https://t.me/LauraAbolichannel
#no shit thats a thing#its honestly a cool as hell concept because it would expand the growing and livable area of Africa by nearly a fifth of the continent#we are sort of making it green by force#but that's a long way out#and by a long way i mean a couple generations at minimum#hell I'll be using some of the same techniques in the Mojave over a much smaller area#combine that with rainwater collection and snow melt collection and i could have a green spot in the Mojave desert thats 30 acres in size#could#not will#but it's cool no matter what#fr though check out regenerative farming#we can make even deserts green now#and that's cool as fuck
