— basically an au where the tannens and mcflys swap places in hill valley society

— started in the 1800s (eg martin defeats buford in a duel, things ensue) when the mcflys dethrone the tannens as the Guys Who Run The Town

— mcflys are rich (many businesses) + have a lot of power in the town, but their personalities r mostly the same

— 1955 george has ppl follow him around to get on his good side (like frost (slick) and 2-D (3-D)) but he just wants to be left alone; he’s still awkward and a loser but when he’s mad the Inner Rich Kid comes out

— biff and the tannens want to reclaim their status, but nobody takes them seriously anymore

— doc is actually a beloved member of the town!! yay!! (he babysat george in the late ‘30s—40s so arthur considers him Part Of The Family—when the brown mansion ‘’burnt down’’ he decided to finance doc’s projects himself)

— lorraine keeps to herself mostly, and is Very obsessed with fantasy novels (she wants to ride a dragon and She Should!!)

i find it very interesting that will branner's portrayal of max near-constantly has his mouth open, chin hanging down. because it's very reminiscent of a zombie— so obviously when he does come back to life, it's almost like that mannerism was foreshadowing it

then again, he does the same thing as 3-D in bttf, so maybe it's just his go-to for portraying a goofy high school bully
