Turned Back
“I was ready to respond, but no one asked for help. I was ready to be found, but no one was looking for Me. I said, ‘Here I am, here I am!’ to a nation that did not call on My name. All day long I opened My arms to a rebellious people. But they follow their own evil paths and their own crooked schemes. All day long they insult Me to My face....... Isaiah 65:1-3NLT
Did you know Trump offered to bring National Guard into Washington DC before January 6. The Democratic mayor of the town refused his assistance repeatedly. Instead they preferred to have Antifa and BLM rioting. Although January 6’s breach of the capitol appeared to be patriots, nothing would’ve happened had the National Guard presence been there. Trump offered the National Guard help to every town with rioting, burning— every town but Kenosha WI said ‘no.’ None of the Democrat mayors wanted his help. Trump probably understands how God felt in the text scripture.
Sadly, in numerous churches today, people are turning their backs on the deity of Christ. They’re becoming spiritually ‘correct’ or ‘enlightened.’ Leaving their first love, their passion for God, they’ve sought the non-confronting seeker-friendly programs. No prayers, just worship songs— without words about the blood of Jesus or the gospel.
Meanwhile He is still reaching out. God’s heart, with a love so vast it cannot be measured, reaches out to give away His love. How much of  His church even notices He’s trying to embrace her? Even the pentecostals, and evangelicals have back pedaled their romance with King Jesus. Few pays attention to the appeal of the One they call Lord.
One weekend of special services I attended, the evangelist cried out, “the Lord told me He would heal hypertension this morning.” Most of the 100 plus parishioners he spoke to were the fifties plus gang. Initially, no one responded. The evangelist waited. Finally, a husband grabbed his wife by the arm and brought her forward to be prayed for. In this congregation the probability only one takes hypertension medicine? Doubtful. Why had everyone else remained in their seats? Pride? Disbelief in the evangelist? No faith in God?
Israel’s kings often didn’t accept walk with God accepting His love. What turned them away? Pride? King Asa set out serving the Lord with His whole heart, (2Chronicles14 & 15). He depended on Yahweh to fight his wars for him. In chapter 16, he’s turned his trust towards man.
David was a cut above the other kings. He set out totally serving the Lord but developed a lust, rape and murder problem, (2Samuel 11). Difference? Although he got caught in a trap by the devil, he turned back to God, humbly repented and sought Yahweh in all he did afterwards.
Back in the day, one of my pastors taught God didn’t appreciate being “used.” Assuring everyone God wanted us to be His hands and feet, but don’t expect Him to bail us out. Problem was— as usual Debbie was in a mess and needed God to be big enough to bail me out. Pastor learned a lesson as he watched God rescue me. Instead of insulting God, my love and my need keep me on God’s path and answered God’s desire to be my big God.
What about you? Do you insult God with your ‘do it yourself’ attitude? Will you please Him by loving Him and needing Him to be your big God? It’s your choice. You choose.
PRAYER: Holy Father we praise and honor You. Help us to not lose sight of Your heart for us, and respond to You with love, in Jesus Christ’s name I pray.

Goodmorning🇹🇿🇬🇧🌏#Cupoftea☕️ 1 So Abijah rested with his fathers, and they buried him in the City of David. Then Asa his son reigned in his place. In his days the land was quiet for ten years. 2 Asa did what was good and right in the eyes of the LORD his God, 3 for he removed the altars of the foreign gods and the high places, and broke down the sacred pillars and cut down the wooden images. 4 He commanded Judah to seek the LORD God of their fathers, and to observe the law and the commandment. 5 He also removed the high places and the incense altars from all the cities of Judah, and the kingdom was quiet under him. 6 And he built fortified cities in Judah, for the land had rest; he had no war in those years, because the LORD had given him rest. 7 Therefore he said to Judah, “Let us build these cities and make walls around them, and towers, gates, and bars, while the land is yet before us, because we have sought the LORD our God; we have sought Him, and He has given us rest on every side.” So they built and prospered. 8 And Asa had an army of three hundred thousand from Judah who carried shields and spears, and from Benjamin two hundred and eighty thousand men who carried shields and drew bows; all these were mighty men of valor. 9 Then Zerah the Ethiopian came out against them with an army of a million men and three hundred chariots, and he came to Mareshah. 10 So Asa went out against him, and they set the troops in battle array in the Valley of Zephathah at Mareshah. 11 And Asa cried out to the LORD his God, and said, “ LORD, it is nothing for You to help, whether with many or with those who have no power; help us, O LORD our God, for we rest on You, and in Your name we go against this multitude. O LORD, You are our God; do not let man prevail against You!” 12 So the LORD struck the Ethiopians before Asa and Judah, and the Ethiopians fled..#2chronicles14:1-15#PraisetheLord#wordoftheday#wordofGod#faith#verseoftheday#quotesoftheday#Godisfirst#anzanamiBwanaYesu#Mungukwanza#Nenolaleo#NenolaMungu#imani#barikiwa#beblessed#eastafrica#Tanzania#Kenya#Uganda#Rwanda#Burundi#Congo#ethiopia🇪🇹swahili#Coventry#UK#lifestyleblogger#vlogger#mswahili🇹🇿#Rachelsiwa🙏❤️☕

True prayer is measured by weight not length. A single groan before God may have more fullness of prayer in it than a fine oration of great length. Spurgeon Lord, there is no one besides You to help in the battle between the powerful and those who have no strength; so help us, O Lord our God, for we trust in You, and in Your name. Praise the Lord. "O Lord, there is no difference for You between helping the mighty and the weak. Help us, O Lord our God, for we rely on You, and in Your Name we have come against this multitude (evil habits). O Lord, You are our God; let no mortal (human passion) prevail against You." (2Chronicles14:11) God bless you.
