HAHAAAA THEY DID IT THEY ADDED FIREFLIES NOW THE MINECRAFT FANDOM CAN FINALLY SHUT THE FUCK UP

So a lot of new shit dropped in the latest Minecraft update but obviously I only care about the pigs. Let's discuss breeds!

Starting off with the original pig just because— this little guy's probably a Landrace pig!

They're some of the most standard domestic pigs out there along with Yorkshires, but Yorkshires have perkier ears. Landrace pig ears lay flat much more similarly to our Minecraft pigs!

Next we have the warm pigs. These babies are probably Durocs!

Look how red and beautiful they are! There aren't many common red pigs, so it was really between these guys and Tamworths. Tamworths are an Irish breed, so they don't come from a particularly hot climate. Durocs however originated from Africa from what I researched!

And finally we have the cold pigs. These guys are most definitely Mangalicas!

These guys are like. One of the most prominent breeds with thick creamy hair to keep them warm. They're also Hungarian! They're also my favorite pig breed!!!!!

firefly bushes are found in swamps (and i think by rivers?) and give off particles at night!!!!

the bush has been added as well!!!!

found in Plains, Windswept Hills, Windswept Gravelly Hills, Windswept Forest, River, Frozen River, Forest, Birch Forest, Old Growth Birch Forest!

NEW COWS!!!

much like pigs a few updates back there are new cows! along with an update to the cows moddle with the addition of a snout!

these cows can be found similarly in temperate, cold, and warm biomes!!!

FIREFLIES IN THE LATEST SNAPSHOT

this *firefly bush* block generates near rivers and in swamps. firefly particles appear near them at night. (EDIT: the firefly particles appear when the bush is *in the dark,* not only at night)

along with fireflies, new cow variants! warm and cold, just like pigs

all the new cows, and the old ones now have 3d noses

*another* new plant too! bushes that don't come with fireflies

final major addition was ambient sandy sounds for deserts and mesas

We got two new cow variants as teased, as well as two new plants.

The new plants are the bush and the firefly bush.

Firefly bushes work similarly to spore blossoms, as they are a block that generates particles; with firefly bushes though, the particles only generate when very close to the block, and when the block is in darkness. Fireflies, in addition to being reduced to a block-based particle, are now only 1 pixel in size. The particle is emissive though.

As for the cheese leak, again, just because the leak is reliable doesn't mean it will necessarily be added to the game, as with the third sniffer plant back when that was leaked. We will see. The leaker did establish yet even more that they're legit by leaking fireflies (and previously, pig variants).
