It took me exactly 60 days to write the first full day (not counting editing and playtesting). Not only does that mean there's a good likelihood that this project is going to take 5+ years (without allowing for days without writing, which will happen in the summer), but it means that if I stick to that average, I should be able go get out a full day every few months, regardless of how I release it.

Obviously, this could change - as I improve, I might actually get quicker, but life also gets in the way and this will get more complex as time goes on. I'm slightly concerned about writing for 19 ROs, even if it will give me experience with a variety of different characters.

Here's an old 1889 school converted into condos in Pittsburgh, PA. I think that this is much better than trying to make it into one big single family residence. And, it's affordable. The 1bd, 1ba unit is $235K + $211mo. HOA.

This would be the main lobby. Look at all the stairs. Kind of an interesting layout for a school.

One of those staircases must lead to this 2nd fl. unit. This is the living room, which is a large space with lots of windows.

If this was decorated, it would be lovely. Some color, pretty furniture and plants.

They have a small TV area set up in this corner next to the kitchen.

Spiral stairs go up to the loft bedroom.

I wonder if this unit was one big classroom where they built walls and a loft. Or, it could've been 2 classrooms. I went to a very old grammar school and the classrooms were very large with high ceilings.

You can see the bathroom from here. So, those stairs would have to be navigated in the middle of the night. I wonder if they would allow the owner to put a half bath up in the loft.

I love the kitchen. The oak cabinetry, black counters and that tile. The backsplash is gorgeous. I've never seen those colors- they're very vintage looking and so different.

That tile is stunning. I also like the black sinks.

The shape of the island is lovely, and you can easily fit a table in here.

The bath is just a standard 3 pc.

And, here we are in the sleep loft.

I don't care for this- there's no enclosed closet. I would want to enclose it and put a toilet and small sink in the corner.

Each unit has it's own utility closet with room for a small washer/dryer.

When Harry Styles received acceptance into a post-grad degree, he knew he could no longer afford his flat leaving him with three options:

1) Moving back into student halls. 2) Becoming homeless. 3) Moving in with his best (and only) friend, Niall, and three of Niall's other friends. He ended up choosing the third option. But it was a close race. Shame one of his new housemates reminded him why he only has one friend. If Louis Tomlinson had to choose one thing couldn't stand, it would be pretentious tossers, having grown up around enough of them. If he had to choose something he couldn't live without, it would be his friends. So he was proper thrilled to move in with his best mates and a couple of other lads. That was until he discovered one of them was the archetype for a pretentious tosser.

In the interest of seeing out the twelve-month lease without killing each other, they both try (debatable) to get along despite believing they were opposite in almost every conceivable way, each having the communication skills of a cucumber, and secrets that had no business be kept secret.

Im so sad we are already near the end of Frist Watch of Night😭 the time really flew by!!

Ahh thanks Anon!! I can't believe it tbh - I just checked and it's at 235k so only 40k and three chapters left (and the last chapter is 20k and a sort of wrap-up chapter, so really the climax of the main action is nearly here).

I've never had an experience like this in fandom—usually i post fully finished works, plus of course I've never written anything even close to the length of this one. I wasn't anticipating having readers follow the fic along with me, and that's been one of the most fun and complimentary feelings ever. I have loved every moment of getting their thoughts and getting to share their feelings on each new development. Am also blown away by their intuition and generosity as readers.

It's also been nerve-wracking, which I wasn't expecting. There's definitely a sense in which I want to honour the trust they've given me, while also worrying that I'll disappoint them—this isn't something I've ever been concerned about before, as usually I feel like my writing isn't going to be for everyone and if people don't like it that's just one of those things. But with this, people have committed to a long and extended reading experience, and I don't want to have wasted their time. So that was unexpected and humbling, but also very interesting - it's been good for me to have to trust myself and just put the work out there.

All in all, I thought i would be uncomplicatedly happy and relieved to be finished and posting, but actually (like the writing of the fic itself) it's been an excellent learning process as well as a deeply joyful and self-indulgent treat for me. I'll never forget it!

This is unique- the building started out as a local store, but the current owner bought it and converted it into a 1bd, 1ba home in 2020. They're calling it a barn-dominium, but it looks like a shipping container to me. The town of Windsor, SC is a trail riding community and this home comes with horse stables and 1.15 acres of land for only $235K. The interior decor is most unusual.

When you walk thru the front door there are hooks to hang coats on the wall. The bedroom is on the right. You can see the bed right there out in the open.

It's nice, and I guess if there's only 1 bd, there's no need to worry about privacy.

The living room and kitchen are open concept. Note the architectural salvage columns on the right. There's architectural salvage throughout the house. I love that look and the recycling concept.

The kitchen sink.

The kitchen is cute- the cabinets are actually tool chests. You can see the loft above with the wrought iron railing.

They make attractive red and black cabinets.

If you've ever bought a tool chest, you'll know that they're not cheap. I think that this is a clever alternative to cabinetry.

These are Craftsman and they're definitely not cheap. It looks like they put wood counters on top of them

I saw the towel bars and got confused. Is this the bath?

Then I saw the washer & dryer. But, looking at the black metal nook, I realized that's the shower. It's not very deep.

I hadn't noticed the sink on top of the antique mail boxes until this closer photo. That's a bit of architectural salvage- love that so much. I don't see the toilet. I hope it's not a composting situation.

Here we are up in the loft. It's filled with storage, but it's pretty roomy.

Now, we're heading to the stables. So, there's a fenced area for the horses.

It's nice and clean. Room for several horses and it looks roomy.

Looks like there's an office in there.
