Leila Zaqout (Layla) (@joyfulpeacepolice): Layla is from a family of 8. She is a finally year pharmacy student who cannot graduate because of the war. Her neighbouhood has been destroyed and she was slightly injured in a bombing. She has recently contacted hepatitis A.Layla’s grandfather is an open-heart surgery patient. Last night I dreamt my period started and I had nothing on hand. When I woke up and got on the toilet, I did a double take. Wasn't I on my period? No, it had only been a dream, and not one induced by actual biological processes happening while asleep.

I've been expecting a visit. My menses are on a 30-32 day cycle, so for the last six months or so, it's always started on the 20th or 21st. I'd been keeping an eye on my calendar the last week or so, calculating what day I would be on when I'm visiting my parents the coming weekend. The first few days always go a little bit hard, so I prefer being at home for those. Anyway, I think that's where the dream came from. Just, been on my mind.

Then, later in the day, on a normal toilet visit, there it was. A smear of red on the toilet paper. And I, being in the mental state that I am, had yet to boil and sterilise my menstrual cup. Maybe that's what the dream was about.

Does this count as prophetic dreaming?

On 21 August 1991, Green Day played in a bedroom at 202 Samford Avenue in Auburn, Alabama.

About 30 people attended the 40-minute show, but after it ended, more people arrived and were disappointed to hear it was already over.

The band's money and clothes were stolen from their van at the show prior, so everyone pitched in to help. They stayed in Auburn for another day. Ken Sanderson of Prank Records, who booked the show, believes they completed some songs from Kerplunk while Billie Joe played his acoustic guitar on the porch.
