But, the key dates are all set, and we'll be posting the 2025 FAQ and Rules shortly (basically the same – but be sure to read them when they post). Also make sure you're following the fest so you don't miss any key info.

If you are prompting a work that you wish to have turned into a podfic, you must have the consent of the original author. Evidence of this consent must be shown before the prompt can be accepted. Authors are welcome to submit their own works for podfic creation.

Remember that this is a prompts fest, not a gift exchange. Creators are afforded their creative license. Do not make your prompts excessively detailed.

Prompts cannot be edited after they are submitted. If there is something that absolutely must be changed, please contact the Mods to discuss. Anonymous prompts may not be altered.

2025 Rules Reminder and FAQ

As promised, here's the rules reminder and FAQ for 2025. Please take a few minutes to have a read, you'll probably find most of the answers you seek in here.

Prompting for 2025 will open on 20 January 2025. The rest of our key dates are linked here.

WHAT IS THE HARRY/DRACO MPREG FEST

This is an anonymous prompt-based fest focused on mpreg, and the relationship between Harry and Draco. Works in this fest must have three basic criteria:

Harry/Draco relationship is must

Harry or Draco must get pregnant

They must not mainly identify as female while pregnant. The clarification post for this point is here.

COMMUNICATION

Email is the primary mode of communication for this fest however, due to complications in previous years, a direct messaging platform that you actually use is required as an alternate communication channel.

In general terms, we expect that you will communicate your needs to us, and a single-line email is often sufficient for that purpose.

If you need an extension, ask for one. If your muse turns into a rabbit and hops away from you, tell us about it. We are here to help if we can.

If you need to withdraw from the fest, that's also okay. We will always be sad to see you go, but you're welcome to participate again next time.

PROMPTING

All prompting will be done through AirTable. We will post the link to the form when prompts open on Monday 20 January 2025. Prompts will be displayed in a gallery, and are typically shown immediately unless flagged for a review.

You are welcome to leave prompts for this fest even if you do not intend to create for it.

You are welcome to claim your own prompt too! If you want to create for your own prompt this will be captured by the prompting form. The prompt will still be shown on the gallery, but your anonymity will be preserved. If you have questions about this process, please ask.

When prompting, be mindful that this is a prompts fest and not a gifts exchange. Creators will generally stick to the prompt as closely as possible, they are allowed creative license. Try not to make prompts overly detailed, and keep the list of dislikes and squicks to a minimum.

You can submit up to ten (10) prompts and we will allow anonymous prompting too.

You are welcome to re-prompt from previous fests where the prompt was yours, was not selected, and is not actively prompted in another fest. If you saw a prompt that you loved elsewhere and think it would make a great prompt here, ask the prompter if they'd consider prompting it here too.

CREATING

This is an anonymous fest.

While you are working on your submission, please do not tell anyone other than your beta(s) about the specifics of your creation. During posting, you should not reply to any comments or cross-post your work to other platforms. Once the fest posting has concluded, all creators will be revealed and then you can respond to comments and cross-post the work on other platforms.

All written entries must have a minimum word count of 2,000 words, and there is no maximum word count. Art works and Podfics should demonstrate an equivalent effort.

All ratings and creation genres are welcome. Romance, pwp, drama, humour, dark, flangst, fluff, hurt/comfort, family. If it fists the guidelines and you can write it, draw it, or record it: we'll welcome it!

Submitted works must be unique to this fest. They cannot be part of an existing universe, or a prequel or sequel to an existing story. Submitted works must also be complete works—we will not accept WIPs (work-in-progress). You may not submit a work that you have previously posted.

SUBMISSIONS

Closer to this year's submission date (20 April 2025), we will make a detailed post on the finer points of submissions.

If you finish your creation early, you are welcome to submit it early. If we haven't made the submissions post, please contact the Mods to discuss.

All works will be posted to AO3. You will upload your own submission to the collection, and add the Fest Mod account as a co-creator. A header is required to ensure uniform details for each work are collected. We will have a submissions form which provides an HTML-free experience. Further details will be posted in April.

All written or recorded works must be beta-d. This is a non-negotiable condition.

The Mods will proof read and proof listen to the submissions, and reserve the right to return corrections to you if necessary. If you do not have a beta lined up, there are resources where you may find someone to assist you, including the Drarry discord server. Please keep the anonymous nature of the fest in mind when discussing your beta requirements in open forums.

All works must be properly formatted on AO3. If you are unsure how to use the formatting tools, or HTML tags, please use phoenixacid's n00bs guide to HTML. All submissions shall be uploaded directly to the 2025 H/D MPREG Collection on AO3. It is strongly recommended that you double-check when you post to verify that your formatting is correct.

EXTENSIONS AND WITHDRAWALS

Extensions to timeframes are considered on an individual basis. We will check in with participants periodically, and if you think you'll need an extension you should tell us as soon as possible. Giving the Mods an idea of how much additional time you think you'll need as well as your progress with the submission will assist us with planning and adjusting the posting schedules.

Communication will get you a long way, so please talk to us if you're experiencing problems. We like to think we're a pretty approachable crew.

If you find yourself in the regrettable position that you need to withdraw from the fest, we'll be sad to see you go. Sometimes, real-life ruins the best of fandom intentions and there's really nothing we can do about it. Please send us an email or a DM before your submission deadlines so we aren't left waiting for something that will never arrive.
