The BTS parking ticket translation
The S2 Opening Title Sequence: analysis
The Ineffable Detective Agency presents: the origins of the white bust in the bookshop (a really lovely theory, you should read it!)
Parallels with Nightmare in Silver (Doctor Who written by Neil) - multiple Crowleys?
Has Aziraphale been meeting with Floating Head Metatron throughout s2?
Would even vulnerable, heartbroken Crowley try to protect Aziraphale at all costs? A possible hidden transfer in the kiss.
I have questions about Nina and ESPECIALLY about Maggie...
Don't pay the guy with the blue glasses, he doesn't work here!
If you enjoyed my research, stay tuned for future posts, and take a look at my Google doc for even more Clues and metas from all over the fandom!
Some closing bits of encouragement:
A: "You just said it was the only way to prevent something terrible happening!"
G: "Really? What?!"
A: "I don't know!"
G: "Well then, I expect it will be fine. Most things are fine in the end."
Neil: "Tell him that it will all be all right in the end, and that we are not yet at the end."

gencon 2024 after action report, part 1: pregame (wednesday) & day 1 (thursday)
Tumblr media
under the cut for anyone who doesn't care about all the cool indie rpgs i played over the weekend lmao.
the players!
me!
mommy! ( @vi-the-deer )
grammy! (my & mommy's partner)
cj! (grammy's husband, our metamour)
grammy & cj go to gencon nearly every year, and as grammy had accompanied us to magiccon chicago she figured she'd return the favor by having us along for this year's gencon!
mommy & i flew to st. louis tuesday night to meet up with grammy & cj. our hotel that night was pretty nice in a weird way, it kind of reminded me of a really upscale college dorm with a very modern/ikea aesthetic? it's one of those hotels that's trying really hard not to look like a hotel. but yeah, it was nice! not weirdly, shockingly bad. ([hbomberguy voice] foreshadowing is a literary device--). we belatedly celebrated mommy's birthday with some cake and got some rest to get ready for an awesome roadtrip followed by an awesome convention.
on wednesday we originally wanted to go to the st. louis science center, which i had been to & loved decades ago when i went to college in springfield illinois, but sadly it is not open on wednesdays! so instead we went to the st. louis zoo, which is apparently the biggest free zoo in the country? and i gotta say, it offers an experience that's pretty comparable to most non-free zoos i've been to. (also, yeah, i'm a bit ethically dubious about zoos, but my going to them or not going to them isn't really going to affect whether they exist or not, and from what i could tell this one was very well-run by people who genuinely care about the animals there.)
Tumblr media
we saw a number of awesome animals, but i think my favorite part was probably the bird house as birds are among my favorite animals. we spent a few hours having a very pleasant (other than it being extremely hot outside) walk through the zoo, but eventually it was time to get on the road.
i'm not necessarily going to talk about everywhere we stopped for food, but i would be remiss if i didn't mention that our day 1 dinner stop was the burger king. no not a burger king, THE burger king, a tiny restaurant in a tiny town in illinois that won a lawsuit to keep its name because it existed before the larger chain that shares its name. (well, minus the "the.")
i will admit that while i lived in illinois for fully more than half of my life, and even having spent my college years in central illinois rather than the comparatively more progressive chicago area, i was somewhat unprepared to be back in a small town in the middle of nowhere where 90% of the population is white and it feels like you're being stared at when 3 of the 4 of you are very visibly trans. it kind of felt like being back home in a not entirely pleasant way, but no one was outright hostile. and to be honest if you like extremely unhealthy cheeseburgers you can do MUCH worse than the original burger king. the food was kind of incredible.
anyway, we got back on the road, and crashed at a hotel most of the way to indiana. this was another totally normal hotel that wasn't weirdly bad with a staff that was weirdly preemptive about it being weirdly bad. (foreshadowing is a literary dev--)
we got up super early thursday morning, and headed for the con. i've actually been to indianapolis for multiple conventions because when i used to live in chicago the two furry cons (yes i used to go to furry cons & it's not inconceivable that i will do so again at some point) it was the easiest for me to get to were midwest furfest (which was in chicago and huge) and indyfurcon (which was in indianapolis and not nearly as huge, especially considering i went to the first few iterations of it, no idea what it's like these days if it's still a thing). this is the first gencon i've ever been to, and it's markedly larger than any other con i've ever been to. i'm used to a con taking up a fairly large conference hotel or (at most) part of a city's convention center. gencon took up an entire convention center plus multiple nearby hotels plus a literal nfl stadium??? (see the pic above the cut lmao.)
that also wasn't even the only way in which it was larger than any other con i've been to before? it's also the first con i've been to that had a full slate of thursday events as well as the more typical all-day friday/all-day saturday/half-day sunday. heck, most furry cons i've been to don't even have all-day fridays since the first thing that happens is usually an opening ceremony in the early afternoon.
mommy & i booked a couple mtg events on saturday because of course we did, but i was really looking forward to playing a bunch of indie rpgs considering that we have a rather embarrassing pile of them at home considering we've never actually sat down and played one. (tbf i am working on a solo run of the almanac of sanguine paths, but i think that's the first rpg i've played that isn't d&d apart from playing like one session of shadowrun that ended up not going anywhere.)
Tumblr media
the first thing mommy & grammy & i did on thursday was play a session of yazeba's bed & breakfast. already we were starting with a game that's drastically different than any i've played before. it's sort of a cozy, queer, story-heavy roleplay experience with predetermined characters & scenarios. you keep track of character progress by making physical changes to the book & character sheets with stickers and such, and you can "unlock" different characters & scenarios & features of the hotel as you play through various chapters.
the vibe of the game is very much that you're taking on roles of already-existing characters and playing through their choices in a storybook, and i have to admit that prior to playing this game i had never really understood the appeal of these sorts of games as creating a very specific character to express myself has always been a big part of the appeal for me with rpgs. this reminded me more of the kind of enjoyment i got from one of my favorite pc games, beacon pines. it's less of a big world where you have adventures and more of an already-written story that you get to participante in and shape with your choices.
the chapters in the book are intentionally given fairly arbitrary chapter numbers and arranged in the book in a pretty random order, which resulted in our gm saying the highly enjoyable words "we'll go ahead and start with the first chapter in the book, which is chapter 3."
each chapter starts with a pretty detailed prompt that reads like the opening few pages of a chapter in a book, ending with a jumping off point for the people playing to take over deciding what their character is doing. there doesn't seem to be any kind of initiative or turn order, but everyone at our table was pretty polite about making sure everyone was getting roughly equal chances to make their choices. the game is also diceless, with chapters having some kind of fixed way of resolving their various actions including taking & giving tokens, flipping coins, picking playing cards, etc.
after you've played through the chapter, there's a passage for the gm to read depending on how successful you were at whatever mechanic the chapter is based on, and you might unlock some boons for your characters, the hotel, or unlock new characters & chapters altogether.
the game also seems to actively encourage you trying out different characters. each chapter seems to have one or two mandatory characters and then allows you to pick any characters you've unlocked, though our gm was super nice and offered to let me use a character who wasn't technically unlocked yet because they had come up in my brief research of the game and i liked the sound of them, but i was too shy to take them up on that in our first chapter.
Tumblr media
for the first chapter i played gertrude, and while she wasn't as natural of a fit for me, me playing a moody, anxious teenager also certainly wasn't the biggest stretch anyone's ever asked someone to make while roleplaying.
the character i really enjoyed playing, though, was the moon prince.
Tumblr media
i know a big part of the game is probably "trying on" different characters, and i do genuinely want to give more of them a try, but i feel like if i get a chance to play this game a lot more i'll likely end up "maining" the moon prince in a similar way to how i mostly played mercy when i played overwatch but side-mained d.va or lucio at various points in my "career." (yeah, cannot imagine anyone else is out there comparing this rpg to overwatch, but it's the point of comparison i have for this specific aspect, leave me alone.)
i really do enjoy the vibes of this game so i do hope i get to play more of it! mommy did buy the book so there's a decent chance we'll be playing more of it. fingers crossed!
after this, which was our first scheduled game, we kind of flailed around looking for stuff to do. we did end up spending a good amount of time in the exhibition hall but that was hella overwhelming so i was only able to tolerate it for so long. we did get to see wyrmspan being demoed and i get what people are saying when they say it's more crunchy than wingspan. while "wingspan but draogns" is still a phenomenal concept for a game, i will admit that as i saw it being demoed no matter how cool the new mechanics seemed, i kind of found myself missing the cozy vibes & lightly educational aspects of wingspan? i especially wish they had replaced all the bird facts with fake dragon facts rather than just using the whole card for gameplay stuff, but ah well. i'm sure i'll enjoy it if i get around to playing it.
eventually we ended up checking out the "games on-demand" room, and ended up playing a game i've seen a bunch of times at work but never actually played, untitled ghost game.
Tumblr media
this game is normally gm-less, but at the convention with players who had never played it before, we had a really awesome gm facilitating it for us. and honestly i think that was a big part of why the game went as well for us as it did, because mommy & i were matched up with an extremely normie couple one of whom unironically said "just don't call me late to dinner" when asked for pronouns which is basically the 20s equivalent of the 90s "i just don't see color" for those who are fortunate enough not to know.
that being said, we managed to tell a really great story together thanks largely to the guidance of our gm but also just... not to get too hippy-dippy (that's for a later game! you'll see.), but this really reminded me of the way games can often bring wildly different people together. everyone is just here to have a good time, and... i don't know, there's something really encouraging about that.
so yeah, basically you all take turns describing different aspects of the setting and then us as a ghost and then the person or place being haunted, you decide if you want to intensify the feelings that the person or place is having or if you want to help them overcome them, and then you flip a coin to see how you do. and in the case of our game we very quickly established an identity as a ghost who, while somewhat mischievous, really did want to help, and it ended up being incredibly wholesome.
i don't know that this is necessarily a game i'll come back to unless i end up thinking someone else will really vibe with it, but i really am glad i had the experience i had playing it. it was genuinely lovely.
once we finished that, grammy had finished her gm shift and it was time to meet up for dinner and chill until the first game all four of us were playing together, weird heroes of public access.
Tumblr media
whpa is a 2d6 game in which the players take on the role of a host of a local public access tv host in a town that's about to experience some supernatural fuckery. your can host something like a cooking show, a variety show, a talkshow, etc. i named my character kenny kaiju and gave him a monster movie review show called kaiju kino.
our scenario saw the town being taken over by some kind of demon who was using the station to hypnotize its denizens into slaves. i had very normal feelings about this!
our gm (sorry, "station manager") was pretty cool and i had a lot of fun with this game. it wasn't my favorite of the weekend or anything, but i think it solidly delivered on its premise and i wouldn't mind playing it again sometime.
anyway, that was a wrap on day 1! i was pretty exhausted thanks to a combination of jetlag and getting up early to drive the rest of the way to indy, and i think all of us were in a similar boat (even though grammy & cj weren't dealing with jetlag, having only crossed one timezone). so we headed to the hotel which was... pretty awful tbh.
like, it's genuinely fine, it's not like we were going to spend much time there doing anything other than sleeping, but the weird preemptive defensiveness of the staff made it much worse. my favorite part was when we were surprised that there wasn't an elevator and the front desk clerk who was nowhere near us yelled that um actually this was built before the americans with disabilities act so it didn't need an elevator. um, ok, cool? really set a tone there. (they also made some really weird choices like actively removing chairs from the breakfast area on sunday like they were actively trying to shoo all the convention attendees out of the hotel faster. like, y'all, DON'T worry. we were NOT planning on lingering.)
again, it was fine, it wasn't wildly unsafe or anything, i don't want to come off like i'm being overly complainy. but i will say that it is NOT very obvious from their website that the hotel is completely inaccessible to anyone with mobility issues. which fortunately isn't really any of the four of us, but like... i've literally seen events be more clear about the accessibility of buildings they do not own than this hotel is about the place you're relying on being able to sleep at? (heck, i've ORGANIZED events at older venues that unfortunately weren't accessible, and we were always VERY clear about that in every form of advertising. as far as i can tell, literally the only way you can tell that about this hotel on their website is that there's a small tab on the features that's greyed out instead of white. i know most people with mobility issues likely check very closely for this kind of thing so hopefully no one has ended up in an unfortunate situation, but like... seriously, do better.)
and like, yeah i get that it would be kinda difficult to install an elevator in a building that wasn't meant to have one, but you know what's not difficult? adding as many power outlets as a modern hotel should have. having walls that don't have holes in them. having mattresses that aren't lumpy & stiff as fuck. bringing new towels a single time? or failing that, when we ask for more towels at the desk giving us towels rather than not being able to find any and just giving us bathmats instead??? having dressers that aren't literally missing all their drawers?????? this was a hotel owned by a large hotel chain. there is no reason it should be this crummy & depressingly poorly maintained.
again, it's fine, but absorbing all this while we were all super sleep deprived and overwhelmed from the con was kind of a... Moment. we did our best to take it in stride, though, and crashed to get ready for another day of gaming!

Hello! For a hypothetical Into The Scarlet-Witchverse which generations (classic,90s,etc) or versions (Earth 'insert here' or Cartoon Shows) would you want in your line up? Are there any fun or interesting interactions you would want to see between them?
It's shame that Wanda doesn't have more fun multiverse storylines under her belt, because she's uniquely well-suited to them. One of the main things we learned about Wanda's Nexus powers in Scarlet Witch (1995) is that Wanda has an innate connection to other Nexus beings throughout the multiverse, several of which are alternate versions of herself, like Lore. So, it should, theoretically, be pretty easy to get a bunch of Wandas in a room together.
I've said it before, but I think that understanding Wanda's Nexus powers is the key to understanding how her reality-altering abilities are supposed to work and properly contextualizing everything that happened with both her babies and the Decimation. I've written at length about it here and here. So I really want to refresh this subject for modern readers, and I think that throwing Wanda into something like The Variants or the roadtrip arc from Young Avengers (2013) would be a great way to do it.
I wouldn't want to do a multiversal-hub/peacekeeping-corps situation like Spider-Verse or Captain Britain-- for Wanda, the stakes of using her Nexus powers are usually more personal and close to home. It's more about how opening herself up to the expansiveness of her abilities makes her powerful, but also vulnerable, and the stories which relate to this usually involve Wanda being taken advantage of and having to reclaim her agency. In the past, most of those stories have been... problematic, to put it lightly. Revisiting it with fresh eyes and her contemporary treatment could be really rewarding.
This might literally be where Scarlet Witch (2024) is heading-- in this year's Women of Marvel, there was foreshadowing that Wanda would be "exploring the possibilities she holds," and her featured story was actually about Wanda getting support from one of her variants. We also know that Wanda will be encountering the Queen of Nevers and coming face-to-face with Lore again. Wanda's new enemy, the Griever, is a universal abstract that represents the final end of the multiverse-- maybe exploring her multiversal potential is how Wanda will defeat her.
Tumblr media
What versions of Wanda would I want to see? Well, as I mentioned, she doesn't have that many interesting canon variants, but part of the charm of Spider-Verse is that it always generates a bunch of new, eclectic Spideys. Momiji and Weapon Hex are both great, and I think Wanda Strange from the Variants and Imperious Hex from Tarot could both be developed into fun What If characters. I really liked my Bride of Doom and Witch of Wundagore concepts from this post. I'm extremely fond of the Elizabethan fantasy world that Gillen invented for the Secret Wars version of 1602, and it would be cool to see Romani characters in that setting that are, like, authentic and not racist. I feel like you could do something inspired by The Tempest...
Also, Wanda's powers are very broad, so I think the key would be to give each Wanda a specific focus point or gimmick based on her universe. The Wolverine, Namor, and Strange fusions are obvious, and Momiji could focus on illusions and mental manipulation. The others, I'm less sure.
I don't personally care for any of Wanda's movie or TV versions-- I think most of them are very poor adaptations of the character. Obviously the M C U is the worst, but even the cartoons usually whitewash her. But if you change up the visual designs a little and give them a better backstory, some of them have potential--
United They Stand Wanda as Agatha's successor in a story that focuses more on historical covens, New Salem, etc.; drawing inspiration for her powers from the psuedo-pagan treatment she got in the 80s.
Iron Man Wanda in the Force Works costume as the version who's most focused on her probability powers, maybe play her as more of a tech specialist than the other Wandas.
WatXM Wanda as the main representation of Wanda-as-Magneto's-daughter, being the princess and heir of a mutant nation experiment (better than HoM, that's for sure!)
Evolution Wanda as a rebellious punk kid-- maybe with a new, matching design for Pietro? Just based on how the design was inspired by The Craft, it might be cool to play like a character who just stepped out of a horror movie.

Lofoten im April - Wetterumschwünge im Nordland-Archipel
Tumblr media
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media

Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media

Tumblr media
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
Read the full article

123123: Arrivals & Departures
Still so in love with Departures (Okuribito), a 2008 Japanese film.
Today marks the end of 2023 szn, and let me try to say adios to this very curious year, shall we?
Currently trying to fight the signs of aging and a probable flu as I've been exposed to my tito who came from Thailand and caught the virus. I also tried biking under bipolar weather conditions accompanied by cool winds, because, biking is a bitch; biking is life. I didn't go for the 100-km route to San Pablo because dad is shaking. LOL.
Still have too many things to do especially for work, but, here we are. I've been posting quite a lot on my feed but, this time around, it's an ode to the dear departed's loving memories, life and love lessons. I still evade the photos and videos featuring me, but, I allow some "must have" shots here, there and everywhere. DOUBLE DRAGON: MOTHER DRAGONS UNITED
This 2023, losing my last standing grandparent, my ina at 88 years old allowed me to face and manage my mom issues. I know I have been a loud and proud mother dragon's girl, but, as aligned with her in heaven and here at our tiny Manila home, it's my turn to make things happen and let things happen.
Speaking of which, I always ask mom to look after our house especially during times when I'd be gone for longer than usual. When we arrived this morning, all the lights I turned off and even the air con that I double checked with dad is on. Yes, mother dragon is not kidding when I said that she keeps our house intact. She had a "cold" welcome, her signature vibe. Dad said that it kinda reminds him of Casper, the friendly ghost. I never felt mom haunted our Manila house; however, I feel her at times especially this Q4 2023. This "paradam" is not intrusive, strictly speaking; but is generally comforting and challenging. Her Taurus trail is unapologetic, spot on and, yes, bulldozing a lot of times; but, she trained her dragon baby well. While I'm still learning and unlearning the ultra femme side of life with my Cancer-Aries twists and turns, I am certain that she's slowly clapping with her RBF on. While it's gonna be 12 years with her come June 2024, I know that this time around, kaya ko na talaga with feelings na. DOUBLE C CUPS
As I'm looking after two boomers in the family who are battling the Big C, I'm reminded of Tito Taurus' departure. I can say that roadtrips as a passenger princess being fed tabing-daan food keeps me up and has a bittersweet vibe now. I'm no longer overstimulated with the thought of dealing with lumps that are all off to palliative care. These days, I am able to talk to these two boomers with compassion as opposed to jam-packed action items, only. I'm more focused on the quality of life rather than seeing number bumps and vital stats booming all the way up. It's actually my best apology to Tito Taurus who I lambasted with very little lambing even days before he went under the knife. I know he's smirking right now and he doesn't give a damn about this apology; however, I also know that I'm fulfilling my promise to him --making better choices than he did; and just doing it with humility no matter how ugh it feels, sounds and looks. I just hope that these two boomers survive this crazy adventure and that they be surrounded with full support especially on the emotional and mental side of this battle.
Seeing them go down the drain still breaks my heart and soul; however, I'm hanging onto the studies that have shown that there's better chances of surviving this Big C bitch. Let's go. I know that the battle will end at their final destination, but may their days and nights be filled with living life to the fullest as they embrace the power of complete surrender after the fights they're facing and winning, so far.
CHOKE ME, DADDY... NO MORE
I'm also saying adios to my well-loved daddy issues, finally. Must be because dad is on takbong wonky B even when his 29er is adjusting way too much. He even said several times na matulin din naman pala my wonky B. So, I'd have to adjust with his pace also in the coming days, weeks, months and years. His holiday wish? For me to be gentler even when he's not gonna back down. LOL. "Anak, alam mo naman tatay mo, 'di ba? Init ulo talaga ako. 'Wag mo na lang akong masyadong patulan. Ikaw din naman naga-adjust 'di ba?" Hahaha. This line is actually his first official line to ask it nicely AND genuinely. May humility na siya now and syempre, his only daughter is more grounded, too. It's never gonna perfect, but, I know this is our new chapter, together and apart, too.
OH, BABY, BABY BRO
Since my brother has a new kid on the block, I'm actually stepping on the break more and more, as I try my best to be gentler with him, just like the old days. Unlike the old days, though, I come with "wisdom" as a Tita who has 7 and counting anak-anakans including him.
My brother usually calls me but I don't answer readily. LOL. The past weeks though, even when I'm not a fan of kids especially babies who just babble away, I try my best to engage with my pamangkin. I can't wait for him to grow up so we can bike with Ely. LOL. Matagal-tagal pa 'yun, but I'm patient naman sa antayan at ahunan, I guess. What bike to give these two babies kaya who'd be toddlers by then? Abangan! LOL. Shemay.
BABA, BLACK SHEEP
As my 4th anak-anakan shared, I'm not a black sheep. I guess it's her saying that I'm but postmodern. LOL. Kidding aside, as I come home to ina and ama's humble home in the sleepy town of Laguna, I'm faced with so many emotions that are being filmed and ready to be processed in the dark room where death and life come as one. It's not easy as our family is not the type who'd down tough conversations. However, I feel like as an empath, I am allowing myself to touch-base with them along with specific boundaries. Before, I'd go all out in checking on everyone. Happy to share that this is the first ever holiday that I didn't lift a finger. No stress about what to cook, bring, gift and all stuff and fluff. I'm now in my era where I share a bit of who I really am and who I am really not with them, too.
SOUL SIS SIZZLES
It's really nice to have soul sisters who are on different timezones because I get access to asynchronous responses and messages. LOL. While there are too many times I still forget to reply, I reply pa rin naman kahit mga ilang days na ang nakalipas.
And having them in countries that I like to visit one day is also an added push to do better and make more and more streams that are hopefully flowing steadily this 2024.
SCENTSATIONS Here's to revisiting the scents, the sounds, the feelings and everything in between involving past hurts, traumas and rejections. While at it, I'm totally ready to let these go. I think scents would be the trickiest because it rouses memories even those that I thought are no longer with me, those that were CTRL + ALT + DEL-ed ages ago. But, as I curate my tiny home outside Manila, I need these books to be closed, so I can open up new ones.
BATS, BATS: NO IF'S NOT BUTTS
As a sentimental scavenger which I got from mother dragon, this is easily one of the most curious tasks that is arriving officially this 2024. There are times when I ask myself the reason why I'm clearing out stuff. There'd be times when I'd think about dark thoughts, again and again. But, this time, I'd like to proceed with decluttering not only my physical space, but more importantly, my emotional, mental and spiritual space. It's time, finally. Let me be super clear that I don't aim for minimalism nor maximalism. I'm but trying to keep the old and the new in a state where they co-exist and make me feel more alive as I hopefully, breather deeper breaths. ULTIMATE DOG SHOW SZN
I need to work harder as a dog mom to my three dog kiddos. I know I'm quite decent especially when I've raised two 11-year old dogs for the first time in my life. LOL. However, I can sense their anxiety that obviously, comes from me. I think I've gone too far as a dogmom who gets unrequited love from them. While I know dogs love with no expectation, here's a version of me that's a bit gentler and kinder to them. GAH. Hassle pero sige, push na natin since they've really proven their worth through the years. Nothing fancy, just more bonding time and more treats for them at home.
ON YOUR KNEES, PLEASE
I've been more attuned with my prayer life, too. I'm still not big on the whole prod called praying in churches that much, but I guess, Uptown Chapel is a game changer. It's near work and not a lot of people go there. I hope that they keep the glass tinted because, there are times when I cry tiny tears even when I try to hold them back with all my heart and soul. LOL.
This Christmas Mass, I prayed for something that I've not prayed about since 2012. No other clue because it's actually a super passionate prayer that for me, myself and I. I don't know if it's gonna be a YES or NO or MAYBE SO, but, let's see, 2024! Gugulatin mo ba talaga ako ng tuluyan?
WHAT I DON'T TALK ABOUT WHEN I TALK ABOUT WRITING
There are still a good number of things that I'd like to keep to myself, for now. These are things that I consider in their brewing stage. I always tell people who try to reach out that I'm not an an open book, and that still holds true. However, I'd like to be more intentional and allow myself the benefit of the doubt in spite my still trusted issues.
I guess, I'd start with something that happened during my stay in ina's hometown. I actually talked about my adventures and misadventures regarding my dating history. Hahahahahaha. Shemay. Caught off guard with a series of sessions with really well-meaning titas and poof... I didn't salvage the discussions unlike before. In fairness, they enjoyed it and I must say that I had a decent time with them, too. I don't talk about my dating history in public because, I'm bleeding in scarlet sins.
They actually thought I have a non-existent dating life. LOL. Lo and behold, they are too excited for what's to come and I've got a reco/referral, already. Hahahahaha. Real quick, that one, but, as I've said: I'll keep on waiting 'til The Last One wins the real game. By game, I don't mean playing fucking games. Not anymore. Hodor.
Accio Always Era is here, there and everywhere for 2024, because, I guess, I'm ready for it. I'm still petrified, honestly, but, here's my giving things a really, really good try sa abot ng kapurit na kaya ko at kung anong ako at hindi ako. Editing my "checklist" because we've aged and gone frailer than usual, also. LOL. LABORA MAJORA
The wellness leave that has been overdue actually allowed me to look at my current work space from a healthy distance. It's different to be out of the office for quite some time, but I know I need this and want this especially as 2024 is here and now. It's not gonna be an easy year as I'd need to step up consistently and intentionally. However, I guess that I'm on my way to Ikigai era na rin because Japan is love. Also, I am giving me and V another chance to slay deadlines and beyond through my current job description and my current team, too. Losing V has been a solid push as I sink and swim in my new role that has been 6 months na pala rin. How time flies noh?
As the fireworks light up the sky this midnight, I'm doing the laundry while Vici is on my lap. LOL. I love how simple my YE and YO are. As in. In my ratty pambahay and Swiftie shirt from Linya-Linya pa. I love how I'm writing it out in mom's spot. I love how my lofi PL soothes me and keeps me up, too. I love how I don't indulge in an iced drink because I'm fighting a flu. I love how Vicks has an Xtra Strong variant. And I love how the peace is with me amidst the crazy putukan sa labas. I love the smell of fresh laundry. I love how Vidi and KD are fast asleep because they we're really tired from our uwi sa Laguna. I love how Vici, inspite being 11 is like a baby na akala mo first time mag-New Year. :p I love how I had cheese, prosciutto, rice and bottled tuyo with chili garlic bits. No alchohol, too. LOL. Baka bukas na or this coming weekend. I love how our YE lunch ni dad a while ago featured sinaing na tulingan and ginataang hipon na maliliit ala Laguna with pinya na ngayon. As a mababaw girly, this set up is best for me. :) Natawid ko rin, finally.
This is how 2023 ends, and how 2024 begins. Wala namang bago. Walang bago sa taon because it's but another social construct. However, this new year might actually be the start of the real me, only better, through it all. Still not a fan of festivities, but, ready to give each day and night a better try, maiba naman. Putukan na. Pasiklaban na. Pasavogue na.
