Looking back on 2023
1. What did you do in 2023 that you’d never done before?
Went snowboarding, went snowshoeing, gave up drinking for a while, saw my fave artist live, dyed my hair permanently, had a sugar daddy, broke up with someone, went bungee jumping, did shrooms, did coke, picked my own pumpkin, drove in the states, been in a situationship

I didn’t make any resolutions and I only hit about half my goals lol but its was a funnnn year

Looking back on 2022
I can't not do this every year now.
1. What did you do in 2022 that you’d never done before?
Moved to Canada, got promoted to manager, the Otley run lol, experienced -12C, played five a side football, flew home for the holidays, drank a pickleback
2. Did you keep your new year’s resolutions, and will you make more for next year?
I didn’t make any resolutions but I hit most of my goals for the year which isn’t too bad
3. Did anyone close to you give birth?
Nope
4. Did anyone close to you die?
Fortunately not
5. What countries did you visit?
Spain, Croatia, Canada, USA
6. What would you like to have in 2023 that you lacked in 2022?
The ability to go on a night out and not get too drunk lol.

Moving across the world on my own to a country where I knew nobody

Looking back on 2021
Can’t believe I’m still doing these.. 1. What did you do in 2021 that you’d never done before? Get a covid vaccine lol In-charged a job at work, spent Christmas with my boyfriend, qualified as an accountant 2. Did you keep your new year’s resolutions, and will you make more for next year? I didn’t make any resolutions but I hit most of my goals for the year which isn’t too bad  3. Did anyone close to you give birth? Nope 4. Did anyone close to you die? An old friend but not someone I’m close too now 5. What countries did you visit? Wales and Greece - a sad year for hols :( 6. What would you like to have in 2022 that you lacked in 2021? The ability to go on a night out and not get too drunk lol 7. What dates from 2020 will remain etched upon your memory, and why? 4th April - Balloons and pressies for another lockdown bday 13th April - 4 pubs in a week for Jess’s bday 11th July - England in the final 21st July - Last ever accountancy exam 7th August - best weekend in Newcastle 27th August - Qualifying as an accountant 12th October- best week in Greece 17th December - Jess qualifying 23rd December - Testing positive for covid 8. What was your biggest achievement of the year? Qualifying as a chartered accountant and getting a sick performance review at work 9. What was your biggest failure? Not having better self control 10. Did you suffer illness or injury? Had some serious drunken falls, no voice for most of August and November and covid in December 11. What was the best thing you bought? The money spent on holidays and an xbox for Jess 12. Where did most of your money go? Going on nights out and holidays 13. What did you get really, really, really excited about? Restrictions easing, going home for my bday, Liverpool, exams being over, Newcastle, Lakes, qualifying, Greece, Christmas and New year 14. What songs will always remind you of 2021? Looking back on 2020
Annual tumblr post.. 1. What did you do in 2020 that you’d never done before? Lived through a pandemic lol Went on holiday with work friends, got the Eurostar, self isolated, wore a face mask, painted furniture, chaired a meeting, led a project, used Zoom 2. Did you keep your new year’s resolutions, and will you make more for next year? I didn't make any resolutions but I hit about half my goals for the year which ain't bad considering 3. Did anyone close to you give birth? Nope 4. Did anyone close to you die? Fortunately not 5. What countries did you visit? The Netherlands, France, Italy and Greece 6. What would you like to have in 2021 that you lacked in 2020? The ability to go out for drinks or a meal and see my family and friends, better mental health and much less stressful job 7. What dates from 2020 will remain etched upon your memory, and why? 18th Jan - getting wasted in Amsterdam 9th Mar - drinking all the wine in Paris 23rd Mar - going into lockdown 4th April - bday zoom call 5th July - first pub trip again to spoons with Jenny 11th Sept - going to Venice 16th Oct - getting sick exam results in Greece 29th Dec - Christmas snow 8. What was your biggest achievement of the year? Passing all my professional exams and surviving lockdown 9. What was your biggest failure? Not being more confident in myself 10. Did you suffer illness or injury? Had headaches and migraines all year and had flu (covid?) in Feb 11. What was the best thing you bought? The money spent on holidays and a new TV 12. Where did most of your money go? Rent and bills as always lol 13. What did you get really, really, really excited about? Paris, being able to go home again, exams being over, Venice, Kos, coming home for Christmas 14. What songs will always remind you of 2020? Savage, WAP and head an heart 15. Looking back on 2019
Annual tumblr post.. 1:What did you do in 2019 that you’d never done before? Moved out permanently, lived in Sheffield, started a grad scheme, lived alone, had a four year anniversary, went away with a big group of mates, moved house, mowed a lawn, took a professional qualification, moved in with my boyfriend, got a pay rise, met an online friend in real life. 2:Did you keep your new year’s resolutions, and will you make more for next year? I always make way too many. I wanted to run further, eat more plant based, visit a new country, continue scrapbooking and get involved in charity work again and I did 3 out of 5 which isn't bad. I just want to work on my relationship next year. 3:Did anyone close to you give birth? nope 4:Did anyone close to you die? Fortunately not 5:What countries did you visit? Belgium, Italy, Albania, Wales, Iceland and Portugal. 6:What would you like to have in 2019 that you lacked in 2018? Healthier habits, a better relationship and less stress 7:What dates from 2019 will remain etched upon your memory, and why? 4th January - first day at my new job, 11th February - S&DCASS ball, 17th March - my sister's surprise birthday party, 17th June - a wonderful day in Rome, 20th June - moving house, 22nd June - doing three peaks, 19th July - an incredible day in Albania, 20th August - lovely day at the seaside, 24th August - house warming party, 3rd September - an amazing day in Iceland, 21st September - lovely day with my uni girls, 11th December - finishing professional exams for Christmas 8:What was your biggest achievement of the year? Passing all my certificate exams and fingers crossed my first 3 professional! 9:What was your biggest failure? Letting stress and loneliness get on top of me 10:Did you suffer illness or injury? Had migraines all year and smashed my face in and got concussion in October 11:What was the best thing you bought? the money spent on holidays and presents for my family and friends 12:Where did most of your money go? Looking back on 2018
Here we go again..
1:What did you do in 2018 that you’d never done before?
Cartwheeled in my underwear, got promoted, had a three year anniversary, went on a non-travelling holiday with Jess, went to Ibiza, travelled for four months, went to Asia, ate an insect, went to a full moon party, drove a motorbike, made incense, cheated, played with an elephant, lived without electricity and decent plumbing, got mugged, swam with manta rays, got my nose pierced, got a graduate job, made a scrapbook.
2:Did you keep your new year’s resolutions, and will you make more for next year? Kinda, I’ve lost weight, ran and done yoga a lot more, and meditated nearly every day. I’m hoping to run further, eat more plant based, visit a new country, continue scrapbooking and get involved in charity work again.
3:Did anyone close to you give birth? nope
4:Did anyone close to you die? yes, my wonderful grandma
5:What countries did you visit? Cyprus, Spain, Thailand, Vietnam, Cambodia, Malaysia, Indonesia, Germany.
6:What would you like to have in 2019 that you lacked in 2018? a grad job, my own place and more control (two of these things are a lot more likely than the other)
7:What dates from 2018 will remain etched upon your memory, and why?
6th March - beautiful sunset after a day of beaching and markets in Cyprus, St Paddy’s - spontaneous wild night ending in a huge snowstorm, 7th April - spending my birthday weekend in Ibiza with my mum and sister, 31st May - full moon party in Thailand, 21st June - sunrise in the dessert and sand-boarding with Cal, 28th June - meeting and playing with the rescue elephants, 31st July staying in pure natural paradise at the Perhentian Islands, 28th August - swimming with manta rays in Bali, 8th September - surprising my friends with my return home, 11th October - my grandma’s funeral, 24th November - a wonderful weekend in Oxford with two of my best friends, 12th December - finding out I got on a graduate scheme (!!), 22nd September - eating McDonalds under the stars with a view of Manchester at 3 am.
8:What was your biggest achievement of the year? Getting on to a top auditing graduate scheme after a year of applying for over 80 of them!
9:What was your biggest failure? all the jobs I got rejected for before December.
10:Did you suffer illness or injury? have had migraines for about 5 months and got stung by a jellyfish
11:What was the best thing you bought? the money spent travelling and presents for my family and friends
12:Where did most of your money go? travelling
13:What did you get really, really, really excited about? going to cyprus, my birthday and going to Ibiza, going away travelling in the summer, moving to Sheffield for my new job
14:What songs will always remind you of 2017? Barking, Yeah You, God’s Plan and Football’s coming home of course
15:Compared to this time last year, are you: (a) happier or sadder? (b) thinner or fatter? © richer or poorer? a) I think happier actually b) a little thinner c) a lot poorer but hopefully this will soon change
16:What do you wish you’d done more of? spending time with my parents and sister while I’ve still been living at home

Looking back on 2017
Its that time of year again so here’s my annual tumblr post
1:What did you do in 2017 that you’d never done before?
Had a nye kiss, went to Dublin, went to an engagement party, held an owl, trained to run a race, went to an ice hockey match, had a date to a ball, went to the Harry Potter studios, got a first class degree, graduated from uni, moved back home, went to Barcelona, went to India, visited one of the seven manmade wonders of the world, worked full time, went on the pill, attended an assessment day, went to a Runescape event, drove in the snow, kept a diary for a full year!
2:Did you keep your new year’s resolutions, and will you make more for next year? Kinda, I’ve eaten a lot more healthily this year but my eating habits were bordering on disordered for a few months there - I have done a lot more exercise though! and i manged to keep my diary all year. I want to improve my diet still next year though and take better care of my mental health.
3:Did anyone close to you give birth? nope
4:Did anyone close to you die? thankfully not
5:What countries did you visit? Ireland, Spain and India
6:What would you like to have in 2018 that you lacked in 2017? a grad job, a lot more money and a boyfriend who lives closer
7:What dates from 2017 will remain etched upon your memory, and why?
4th April - being spoilt rotten by my boyfriend for my birthday and having Maggie come all the way from the states to visit us! 6th June - my last ever uni exam! 12th July - my graduation, 9th August - visiting the Taj Mahal, 30th October - my first day at work.
8:What was your biggest achievement of the year? Getting a first in my degree and graduating after four years of uni
9:What was your biggest failure? not yet getting a grad job lol
10:Did you suffer illness or injury? had E coli in india lol that’s fun and had some serious side effects from the pill
11:What was the best thing you bought? the money spent travelling and presents for my family and friends
12:Where did most of your money go? travelling and clothes
13:What did you get really, really, really excited about? finishing exams and going to Dublin, seeing maggie, my birthday, science ball, going to london with my oz pals, finishing exams again, grad ball, barcelona, graduation, going to India, starting a new job, seeing old friends and literally any time I got to see Jess.
14:What songs will always remind you of 2017? Castle on the Hill, World of Our Own, Congratulations

Swam with a shark, said I love you in a relationship, swam in a waterfall,  quadbiked, became a fourth year, had a valentine, went to a casino, lived with my boyfriend, been surprised at the airport, went to watch a rugby match, camped in a tent on top of a car, watched the moon rise, celebrated an independence day
2:Did you keep your new year’s resolutions, and will you make more for next year? Yeah i did, I now drink a lot more water and exercise more. I’m hoping to improve my eating habits in 2017

6:What would you like to have in 2017 that you lacked in 2016? Money, a better body, the ability to do uni maths - exact same as the last two years lol but also more time with my family and boyfriend

1st Jan - last in the sea on Bondi beach, 2nd Feb - Jess came to visit me in Oz, 17th feb - I love yous and profiterols on the beach at night, 30th March - swimming with whale sharks, 28th June - flying back home, 10th July - reunion with my uni gals, 30th August - amazing climb in Austria, 25th December - fab Christmas day with my family
8:What was your biggest achievement of the year? Passing my year in Australia and looking after my health better
9:What was your biggest failure? being lazy
10:Did you suffer illness or injury? burnt my leg really badly on a fire pit and got stung by a jellyfish
11:What was the best thing you bought? All the accomodation and activites when travelling

13:What did you get really, really, really excited about? Jess coming to visit, West coast trip, coming home, holiday to Austria, going back to uni, Christmas

Looking back on 2015
Bit late I know but hey I’m back home now and bored
1:What did you do in 2015 that you’d never done before?
Lived abroad, went to Australia, New Zealand and Bali, skydived, entered a serious relationship, spent christmas without my family, got drunk in the sea, went on a beach at night (many times), went sandboarding and surfing and jetboating, met a monkey, made best friends from other countries, went on a proper roadtrip, jumped off a (small) cliff, held a koala, drank goon, got homesick,
2:Did you keep your new year’s resolutions, and will you make more for next year? I didn’t make any last year and I’m not really making any this year, I’m trying (and so far succeeding!) to be healthier though
3:Did anyone close to you give birth? nope
4:Did anyone close to you die? no thank god
5:What countries did you visit? Australia, New Zealand, Bali

12th Feb - the day I met Jess, 4th April - celebrated my bday, 19th June - last night in Notts at Ocean, 8th July - left for Brisbane, 23rd August - went skydiving with Maggie, 2nd October - day snorkelling and chillin on the beach at Whitsundays, 5th December - amazing day in Seminyak, 10th December - americans left to go back home :(
8:What was your biggest achievement of the year? Being successful with my application to come to Australia
9:What was your biggest failure? stupid things I’ve done when drunk and being lazy
10:Did you suffer illness or injury? hurt my leg falling off a table I was dancing on is about it haha
11:What was the best thing you bought? All the tickets for quest trips and flights to everywhere
12:Where did most of your money go? travelling and trips for sure
13:What did you get really, really, really excited about? turning 20, finishing my exams for the summer, coming to Oz, going travelling, getting to see Jess again
14:What song will always remind you of 2014? Peanut Butter Jelly, Love Yourself and Cheerleader

(b) thinner or fatter? © richer or poorer? a) probs the same, having an amazing time outh ere but i miss eveyrone at home a lot too b) fatter for sure - oz was supposed to help me lose weight! c) v v v poorer, I owe my parents so much money
16:What do you wish you’d done more of? Wish I’d spent more time with Maggie, Shannon and Jacy while they were still here and kept in touch with friends better
17:What do you wish you’d done less of? Got a little less drunk on some nights out, wasting time
18:How did you spend Christmas? I was staying in a hostel in Newcastle and at midnight we all went skinny dipping in the sea, I facetimed my family, had a bbq and spent the day on the beach :D

20:What was your favourite TV program? made in chelsea and house
21:Do you hate anyone now that you didn’t hate this time last year? Nope

23:What one thing made your year immeasurably more satisfying? getting to come here

34:Who did you miss? Literally everyone from home but especially my mum, my sister and Jess
