2022 Jeep Trackhawk Review
2022 Jeep Trackhawk Grand Cherokee Trackhawk remains consistent with the norms that Jeep has set in the past for the Trackhawk name.
Albeit the Jeep name is practically inseparable from the rough prepared Wrangler, the Grand Cherokee is Jeep's top-of-the-line SUV and quite possibly the most well-known vehicle in the United State.
While this model is one of only a handful of exceptions that Jeep hasn't totally patched up over the most recent five years or thereabouts, it stays a staple of the Jeep set up, and another update to the darling exemplary is coming to the 2022 Jeep Trackhawk trim, as indicated by a see upgrade from Jeep.
To join rough terrain ability with ordinary driver solace and utility, the Jeep Grand Cherokee is awesome. To make it a stride further, Jeep presented the Trackhawk model on the 2017 Jeep Grand Cherokee SRT at the New York International Auto Show.
The new model is intended to be the best presentation trim bundle presented on the Grand Cherokee just as increment the SUV's rough terrain availability.
The 2022 Jeep Grand Cherokee Trackhawk remains consistent with the norms that Jeep has set in the past for the Trackhawk name. It guarantees a punch of execution power close by a solace based inside.

2022 Jeep Grand Cherokee SRT
For potential buyers whose notion of an adventurous afternoon involves observe time instead of an off-road path, the 2021 Jeep Grand Cherokee SRT is usually a high-performance SUV that will do exactly that. A six.4-liter V-8 pumps out 475 horsepower when a ripsnorting exhaust observe announces the SRT's arrival and, more dramatically, its departure. Whilst it's based on the standard Grand Cherokee, the SRT wears more aggressive bodywork and comes standard with a sport-tuned suspension and upgraded brakes. In translation, it loses none of the Grand Cherokee's practicality or cabin comfort, although the SRT's ride is far less compliant over potholes top car in the world. If you're one for pure excess, Jeep offers the 707-hp Grand Cherokee Trackhawk (reviewed separately), but its even bigger price tag may be a turnoff to some buyers.
What's New for 2022?
While Jeep has made no changes to the Grand Cherokee SRT for 2021, an all-new Grand Cherokee is expected for the 2022 model year. That means big changes should be coming for this high-performance variant.
Pricing and Which One to Buy
SRT
$72,490
0$25k
$50k
$75k
$100k
$125k
The base SRT is practically perfect as it is. We'd add the high-performance brake package to make sure the SRT stops as well as it goes and the Trailer Tow Group for optimal towing ability.
Engine, Transmission, and Performance
The Grand Cherokee SRT first won our hearts with its thunderous Hemi V-8 and impressive efficiency. Although its naturally aspirated 6.4-liter V-8 is mild compared with the Trackhawk's 707-hp supercharged V-8, it still has 475 horses and 470 lb-ft of torque. The SRT we tested ripped to 60 mph in only four.4 seconds—just 0.2 second slower than a Dodge Challenger T/A 392. Even though the pony car was quicker in other acceleration tests, the SRT SUV matched the coupe's hearty exhaust be aware and responsive throttle for powerful pulls around town. With a maximum tow rating of 7200 pounds, the SRT can haul more than just ass. This high-powered Jeep has a sport-tuned suspension with adaptive dampers. The setup is stiffer than that of regular Grand Cherokees for improved handling. However, the SRT was comfortable and quiet driving over smoother surfaces. It has standard 20-inch wheels, and our test vehicle wore the optional Pirelli P Zero summer tires versus the standard all-season rubber. Whilst the GC SRT specializes in straight-line speed, it goes around corners surprisingly well given its heft. Its powerful Brembo brakes also helped it stop from 70 mph in 168 feet, which equaled the Trackhawk and was better than rivals such as the Mercedes-AMG GLE43.

In other carjacking news....
The Sun Times interviewed a car jacker about why he robs people of their cars. :
Question. Why do you think there’s been a spike in carjackings in Chicago?
Answer. Mainly, most of it is [because people are stealing cars to use in] drive-bys or joyriding, No. 1 being drive-bys — whether they want to do drive-by shootings or whether they want to do kidnappings, hold somebody for ransom or just do simple robberies.
[He says young carjackers like to joyride and do drive-by shootings in stolen high-end Jeep Cherokee models like SRTs and Trackhawks, Dodge Challengers and Chargers with super-charged Hellcat engines, and Porsches and Mercedes-Benzes. He says the nickname in the carjacking world for those types of vehicles is “The fast s---.” But, the man also notes that carjackers are increasingly stealing vehicles for their parts, like catalytic converters and their motors, which they sell on the black market.]
Q. Why would you want a Charger for a drive-by shooting when someone could say, “There’s an orange car with a black stripe on it” and identify that car in the shooting? I would think you’d want to steal a Camry or some, you know, less flashy car?
A. In people’s minds, they might take a “bright one” because if it’s on the news or anywhere in the social media they can brag and say that was them or that was somebody in their clique.
Q. I drive a 2012 Jeep Grand Cherokee. Should I be worried? Should I have my head on a swivel? Or does it depend on what particular model I got?
A. Well, if it’s not an SRT or it doesn’t look like an SRT, they don’t want that Jeep.***

LOS ANGELES (CBSLA) – A section of the Union Pacific train tracks in downtown Los Angeles has been littered with thousands of shredded boxes, packages stolen from cargo containers that stop in the area to unload.
Thieves have been raiding the cargo containers, taking packages that belong to people from all over the country from retailers like Amazon, REI and others.
The refuse left behind, like home COVID test kits, are items that the robbers did not want or did not think were valuable enough to take.
Sources told CBSLA that the locks Union Pacific uses are easy to cut, and officials with the Los Angeles Police Department said they don’t respond to reports of a train robbery unless Union Pacific asks them for help, which they said is rare.*** https://losangeles.cbslocal.com/2022/01/13/thieves-raiding-cargo-containers-stealing-packages-on-downtown-section-of-union-pacific-train-tracks/

A Minneapolis man who attempted to run over a firefighter with his vehicle was released from custody Monday with zero bail required by Hennepin County Judge Regina Chu.
According to a criminal complaint, 52-year-old Shawn Coates was following a woman in his pickup truck when she approached a Minneapolis fire station for help. One of the firefighters on duty directed the woman to “go into the fire station for safety” and told Coates to “move on.”
Coates didn’t take this well. He called the firefighter a “motherf–,” began spinning his tires, and eventually tried to run over the firefighter with his truck.
“Defendant actually turned the vehicle to Victim’s direction and drove his vehicle into the fire station garage doors. Victim had to move out of the way and step behind a garage door pillar to not be hit. Firefighters had to use an axe and other tools to disable the vehicle to stop Defendant from driving,” the criminal complaint says.*** https://alphanews.org/man-who-tried-to-run-over-firefighter-released-on-zero-bail-by-judge-chu/

A federal grand jury in the District of Columbia returned an indictment yesterday, which was unsealed today, charging 11 defendants with seditious conspiracy and other charges for crimes related to the breach of the U.S. Capitol on Jan. 6, which disrupted a joint session of the U.S. Congress that was in the process of ascertaining and counting the electoral votes related to the presidential election.
According to court documents, Elmer Stewart Rhodes III, 56, of Granbury, Texas, who is the founder and leader of the Oath Keepers; and Edward Vallejo, 63, of Phoenix, Arizona, are being charged for the first time in connection with events leading up to and including Jan. 6. Steven Michael Braithwaite, Adam Thomas Braithwaite and their company Nebraska Railcar Cleaning Services LLC (NRCS) were sentenced [14jan22] in Omaha, Nebraska, for willful violations of worker safety standards that resulted in two worker deaths, knowing violations of the Resource Conservation and Recovery Act (RCRA) involving hazardous waste and knowing endangerment to others, knowing submission of false documents to the Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) and perjury. Steven Braithwaite will serve 30 months in prison and pay $100,000 in restitution for his role in the offenses. Adam Braithwaite will serve one year and one day in prison and pay $100,000 in restitution. In addition, NRCS and the individual defendants must serve five years of probation and pay a $21,000 fine.
According to court documents, on April 14, 2015, NRCS workers were inside and on top of a rail tanker car, removing petroleum residue from inside the tank, when flammable gases in the tanker car ignited and exploded. Two workers died and another was injured in the blast. NRCS took the job after receiving an inquiry from one of its customers in January 2015. The inquiry included a Safety Data Sheet (SDS) for the product in the railcar, describing it as “natural gasoline” with a “severe” class four flammability rating (the highest rating). The SDS went on to indicate that the natural gasoline would ignite at zero degrees Fahrenheit and that it contained benzene, a “cancer hazard.”
Despite no test for benzene and an unacceptably high explosive gas level test at the beginning of the job, NRCS sent two of its employees into the tanker car. The employees began removing the toxic, ignitable residue, with a third employee helping from outside. The third employee pulled bucket loads of waste up through the top hatch and dumped them into a regular dumpster to be taken to a municipal landfill, even though the residue was hazardous waste. Approximately one hour after the cleaning began, a spark caused the deadly explosion.
Steven Braithwaite was the president and majority owner of NRCS and was responsible for all phases of the business, including both environmental and worker safety issues. Adam Braithwaite was the vice president and a minority owner of NRCS. He too handled both environmental and worker safety issues.
As the defendants admitted in their plea agreements, prior to the explosion, OSHA officials conducted regulatory inspections of NRCS, and cited NRCS and its principals for violating OSHA safety regulations concerning confined space entries. Rail tanker cars are “confined spaces” under the Occupational Safety and Health Act. Confined spaces are dangerous because they may be filled with toxic, explosive, or unbreathable gases, among other reasons. After an inspection of NRCS, Steven Braithwaite entered into a Feb. 5, 2015, written agreement in which he represented that NRCS had been testing for benzene since July 2014. That was a lie. OSHA returned to NRCS in March 2015 to conduct a follow-up inspection, but Steven Braithwaite turned away the inspectors. Afterwards, Adam Braithwaite submitted falsified documents to OSHA purporting to show that NRCS had been purchasing equipment to test the contents of railcars for benzene and had taken other required safety precautions. NRCS had not been taking those steps. Adam Braithwaite also falsely testified under oath in an OSHA hearing that NRCS had been purchasing the benzene testing equipment.
Although they knew what was required, the defendants failed to implement worker safety standards, mishandled hazardous wastes violating the RCRA and knowingly submitted false documents to OSHA during inspections as a cover up. Their decisions led to the deaths of two of their workers. On July 12, Steven Braithwaite pleaded guilty to counts 2-4 of the indictment. Adam Braithwaite pleaded guilty to counts 2-3, 8-9 and 22. NRCS pleaded guilty to counts 1-21.*** https://www.justice.gov/opa/pr/omaha-railcar-cleaning-company-and-its-owners-sentenced-violating-environmental-and-worker

An oft-arrested homeless man silently shoved an unsuspecting stranger to her death beneath a Times Square subway train Saturday morning, then quickly confessed to the heinous attack, authorities said.
Michelle Alyssa Go was randomly targeted about 9:30 a.m. by Simon Martial, 61, as she waited for the R train in the Times Square-42nd St. station, a high-ranking police source said.
There was no indication that the pair spoke or had any interaction before the deadly attack, said police. Go, a 40-year-old Asian woman who lived on the Upper West Side, was pronounced dead at the scene, cops said.
“I pushed a woman in front of a train,” the deranged suspect told police after surrendering without incident, according to a second source. Bari Weiss is a liberal who resigned a good job at the New York Times. She writes:
***What I now see is this: In America captured by tribalism and dehumanization, in an America swept up by ideologies that pit us against one another in a zero-sum game, in an America enthralled with the poisonous idea that some groups matter more than others, not all Jews—and not all Jewish victims—are treated equally. What seems to matter most to media pundits and politicians is not the Jews themselves, but the identities of their attackers.
And it scares me.
The attack in Texas, the reaction to it, and the widespread willingness in our culture to judge violent acts based on their political utility, augurs a darkening reality for the six million Jews living in what the Founders insisted was a new Jerusalem. And for that new Jerusalem itself.***

2021 Dodge Durango Hellcat 707HP Fall Muscle SUV
By Dave Ashton
While it feels like most of the vehicle industry is currently in cryo stasis, Dodge had been beavering away over the upcoming 2021 Dodge Durango Hellcat. Manufacturers such as General Motors offers put the likes of the new Hummer on hold, as with Ford having a supposedly V8 Ranger Raptor Idea. But , Fiat Chrysler (FCA) offers carried on in uncertain times, having a possible fall launch of the 707HP Dodge Durango Hellcat.
Reports from the likes of Mopar Insiders have got stated that SRT engineers happen to be working from home with the renewed vehicle so that as a top priority. With possible creation starting on October 5, situated at Jefferson North Assembly Place in Detroit, Michigan.
As for a reveal date, you can find no specifics, but most likely the reveal will come towards the end associated with 2020 as a live streaming occasion, before which we are surely likely to be drip fed snippets info and video.
[embed]https://youtube.com/watch?v=-HEcw1Q7Glc[/embed]
Because of the uncertainty in the car industry generally, it makes sense for Dodge to focus on among their more popular models. The Durango sold over 67, 599 systems last year, with 17, 805 devices being shifted in the first one fourth of 2020.
Which usually begs the question, will this up-to-date Durango Hellcat be just another effective engine drop in or can there be more to the story? Although info is currently thin on the ground, there should be stylistic changes along with interior improvements. Such things as a 10. 1 inch Uconnect infotainment system, but don’ t anticipate a vast amount of difference as the present generation is in its ninth season. Plus, with past versions just lasting five years, a fourth-generation Durango could be coming as soon as 2022.
But , what of the newfangled Hellcat 707HP version? Strength wise, it should be along the lines of the Jeep grand cherokee Trackhawk. Which itself was effective at 0 to 60 mph in several. 5 seconds, a quarter-mile within 11. 6 seconds and a restricted top speed of 191mph. As the Durango is a touch heavier than the Trackhawk at 5, 381 pounds, the particular Durango could be just a touch reduced, but we will have to wait with this point. Plus, the Durango SRT Hellcat is going to be four-wheel-drive, which will be fascinating to see how it lays lower that power to each wheel.
Mixing up the popularity plus might of the Hellcat engine combined with the current fashion for SUVs makes complete sense. Lets just hope they could make the seating 2 meters apart… …..

Il me manque plusieurs paramètres ici.

2021 Dodge Durango Hellcat 707HP Fall Muscle SUV

2022 Jeep Grand Cherokee: Everything We Know About the Two-Row SUV
Update: Jeep has formally revealed the upcoming Grand Cherokee’s three-row sibling, the 2021 Grand Cherokee L. Click here to learn more about it.
After a decade of resting on its laurels, the Jeep Grand Cherokee finally undergoes a full redesign for the 2022 model year. The 2022 Grand Cherokee will share much of its design and features with the recently introduced 2021 Grand Cherokee L. The big difference? A shorter wheelbase and one less row of seats.
A Grander 2022 Grand Cherokee
Look for Jeep to offer a number of different trim levels on the next-gen Grand Cherokee, with most models sporting standard rear-wheel drive. That said, every 2022 Grand Cherokee will offer four-wheel drive as at least an option. Look for multiple systems, too. While higher-end and more trail-oriented Grand Cherokee trims will no doubt sport a two-speed transfer case for extra prowess off the beaten path, lower-spec models may sport a less complicated setup that makes do without low-range gearing—just as is the case currently.
2022 Grand Cherokee Engine Options
The 2022 Grand Cherokee ought to offer a multitude of engine options for buyers to choose from. Like the Grand Cherokee L, the two-row Grand Cherokee ought to come standard with a 290-hp 3.6-liter V-6. A 357-hp 5.7-liter V-8 will almost certainly find its way under the hood of the smaller Grand Cherokee, too. More efficiency-oriented consumers may get their needs met by way of the turbocharged 2.0-liter four-cylinder and turbo-diesel 3.0-liter V-6 engines offered in the Wrangler. Likewise, the new Grand Cherokee will add a gasoline-electric hybrid 4xe model to the mix. We anticipate the 2022 Grand Cherokee 4xe to crib the 375-hp powertrain of its Wrangler 4xe stablemate.
High-performance junkies are expected to have their appetites whet by way of new SRT models. Whether the 700-hp-plus supercharged V-8 of the Trackhawk finds its way to the new Grand Cherokee remains to be seen. Regardless, we think a Desert-Rated Gladiator Mojave–like trim may find its way to the next Grand Cherokee. Look for such a Grand Cherokee to boast additional ride height, model-specific shocks and springs, and more.
A Grand Interior for the 2022 Grand Cherokee
We anticipate Jeep will fit the 2022 Grand Cherokee with the same key infotainment features found in the longer Grand Cherokee L. An 8.4-inch touchscreen will serve as the entry-level option, while a larger 10.1-inch screen running FCA’s Uconnect 5 infotainment software will be offered as the upgraded setup. The Grand Cherokee L’s 10.3-inch digital gauge cluster and 10.0-inch head-up display are sure to find their way to the smaller Grand Cherokee, too.
2022 Grand Cherokee Price and On Sale Date
Although we don’t know what Jeep will charge for the 2022 Grand Cherokee, we anticipate the new model will see its price rise slightly relative to that of the 2020’s $35,495 base sum. Stepping up the trim range, however, will no doubt add to the cost, and top-line 2022 Grand Cherokees may crest $60,000—and that’s not accounting for any high-performance on- or off-road trims.
We’ll know more about the 2022 Jeep Grand Cherokee when the brand pulls the wraps off in the coming months, with sales due to start before the end of the 2021 calendar year.
