pension account i was under the impression that the pension account was like a savings account... you put money in and it stays until it gets payed out through pensions. is it tied to the stock market somehow?

before the great crash i dumped all my stocks and had about $3B in cash i didnt know what to do with besides sit on, so i put a third into the pension account. in 4 months it dropped to 25m.

i thought i was crazy so i reloaded again and put less into the pension account. it again dropped from 200m to 25m. i have kept playing the game, but i am scared to put money into the pension account.

my total liabilities have gone from 25m (about what it dropped to) to 50m in that time, lots of near strikes at the beginning of the depression.

afaik there wasnt any notice or anything in the reports that told me where the money went

You might think it ludicrous, but that's what Ford did. By 1920 Ford had 55% market-share, world wide.

Numbers wise, pure AI sim, no player, sales figures average about 1 Million per year. A keen player can probably generate more sales on top of that. You'll need to average roughly around 40% market share over the period. So while it is feasible to do it, yes, it'll be pretty difficult to do. As it is meant to be. It's the halo achievement of the game.

How would I go about it? Buyout and consolidations, and really really really cheap, sell-able vehicles.

(Some feature bounty tickets might make the achievement a little more attainable, specifically the ones that merge the trimming system into the base models, so you don't have to manage many different trims. And the ones that make unlimited factory sizes.)

It's more than achievable. I sold 16.4 million just from 1920 to 1929 on nightmare difficulty.

The key is non stop expansion. I was constantly building 5 or 6 factories and when ever one completed I'd start a new one. I got the achievement months ago but from memory I was somewhere from 1 to 2 million in yearly missed sales for most of the 20s too.

I was so afraid of missing the deadline, I was subsidising my cars using a late IPO and an even later sale of stock to keep going, selling around 2.4 million cars a year by 1923 at a heavy loss. It's probably possible to do it profitably, too.

Actually to be on route to make the Ford achievement you ought to be at around 100,000 by 1910 or else you will have a big (maybe to big) montain to climb in the 20's.

To make the Ford achievement you will need to average 500,000 yearly, for every year you cannot do so you are accumulating sales you have to catch up later. The roaring twentys will allow you to make up quite a bit, but there are limits to just how much you can make up.

When I did Ford I passed 100k before 1910, was at 500k when the war broke out. Hovered between 350-450k troughout the war. And made the achievement in 1924, so I had a few years to spare. You can do it at a slower pace, but after 1910 you really should be pushing 100k+ yearly.

Janet Flight Schedule

A fleet of six Boeing 737s provide commuter service between Las Vegas International Airport, Area 51, TTR, Palmdale Plant 42 and sometimes other destinations as needed. The airline uses the callsign Janet and the planes are known as Janets. There are also seven smaller Beech Executive aircraft that operate out of the same terminal in Las Vegas. They are also known as Janets and use this callsign. Further down on this page you will find more information on the Beech Janets.

The six 737s make about 14 round-trip flights to Area 51 and about 10 to TTR every weekday. Some flights listed below do not operate every day. There may also be occasional flights as needed that are not listed below. There are usually no 737 Janet flights on weekends. The tables below show the flight schedule as of 06/01/2021.

Janets from Las Vegas to Area 51 or TTR usually turn off their Mode-S transponder (the device that allows aircraft tracking websites to display the aircraft's position) when entering the NTTR air space. So, how do we know which flights are going to Area 51 and which are going to TTR? Very simple: The altitude in the visible part of the flight path from Las Vegas to Area 51 is 14,000ft. and 15,000ft. for the return flight. For flights to/from TTR, the flight altitude is FL200/FL190. In addition, flights to Area 51 usually enter the ranges around Indian Springs or Mercury while TTR-bound flights usually follow US-95 towards Tonopah or head north-west from Mercury inside the ranges.

This direct flight from TTR to Area 51 usually operates Tuesday thru Thursday. Most days it flies down the US-95 corridor like the Janets from TTR to Vegas at FL190. At waypoint JAYSN south of Mercury it turns north and descends to 14,000ft for the Area 51 approach. Occasionally, if R-4807A is cold it flies direct at 14,000ft.

Palmdale round trip flights

Two weekly round trip flights transport workers from USAF Plant 42 in Palmdale, CA to Area 51 on Monday mornings and back on Friday nights (Thursdays before a holiday weekend). Plant 42 is home to the Lockheed ("Skunkworks") and Northrop black projects development division. The workers stay at Area 51 during the week.

Beech Executive Aircraft "Janet" Flights

The seven Beech "King Air" Executive Aircraft are registered to the same owner as the 737 Janets and operate from the same Las Vegas terminal. Since 02/2021 they also use the Janet call sign, but with a single digit flight number (e.g. "Janet 4" in radio traffic and "JANET04" on flight tracking web sites). The number is the last digit of the aircraft registration (tail number). See our list of Janet Tail Numbers. The exceptions are N20RA, which goes by "Janet 5" and N910CB, which goes by "Janet 10".

The King Airs make somewhat regular round trip flights to the destinations listed below as needed. There is usually at least one such trip every weekday, including some of the destinations listed. Most of the round trips originate from and end in Las Vegas. However, since the Las Vegas Janet terminal only has room for four of the seven jets some of them are always at Area 51 or TTR over night and occasionally make round trips from there.

Sometimes one of the King Airs provides support for tests inside the ranges. In June of 2020 N654BA was stationed at TTR and flew test missions over the Tolicha Peak Electronic Combat Range (TPECR) and over the Nevada National Security Site (NNSS) using the callsign Greyhound 1. N661BA has also been spotted supporting an Area 51 mission using the Area 51 call sign Sabre 45.

New Years Resolutions

2020 had been an absolutely terrible year. No one could go out cause of the pandemic, school was online, and it was hard to socialize with people. Thank goodness the year was about to end. The bad thing about the year was that my dad had lost his job. Him being fired took him into a dark depression that caused him to lose a lot of his spirit. He gained a lot of weight over quarantine and all he did was sit on the couch and watch TV all day. I felt so bad for my dad, so I looked on the internet to see if anything could help him get out of his funk.

December 30th 8:37PM

With nothing to find, I was about to give up, until I got an email from a site I had not recognized, probably one I had used for a rewards program or something. The email had a title that caught my attention: "Resolutions that'll come true!"

I opened the email and a nice flashy card was inside the email. "Have any New Years Resolutions you want as a reality?! Click the link below!" I wasn't sure what to think of this email but I had nothing to lose but a phone virus so I clicked the link.

The link sent me to a website that had a firework gif and a white box. Text was above the box that said "what's your New Years Resolution?!" I guess this website will send you some helpful links to help start your resolution so I typed in: "My dad will start off the year as a better person" I clicked the submit button and the website loaded. After a few moments, a graphic came on and said "Thank you for your request! Hope you enjoy 2021!" Hmmm, that seemed like a waste of time. I closed the browser and went off on my day.

December 31st 11:20AM

It was New Years Eve, and my dad and I were just chilling in the Living Room watching the Ball drop in New York City. I wasn't able to find anything else after that website to try and cheer my dad up so I just gave up. My dad looked the same, sad but a little happier since it was the end of the year. We had some beers out to drink and pizza we had delivered. My dad and I talked and I made some jokes that helped cheer him up.

December 31st 11:50PM

My dad said he had to use the restroom, but he got up unlike normal, like something was urgent. It might just be a massive dump from all the pizza and beer he had so I didn't think anything of it.

December 31st 11:58PM

Dang dad has been in the bathroom for a while, I hope he's doing ok cause he's gonna miss the ball drop. As the last minute countdown begins, I hear a loud bang in the bathroom. I get up and call out my dad; what was going on in there? I then see a thin cloud of smoke rise from the bottom of the door, a fire must have started in there! I head to the door and start pounding it to try and get my dads attention.

30 seconds till the New Year

I scream out to my dad and get no response. The smoke got thicker and thicker but it wasn't a dark cloud, it was white. I speed to the garage to get a tool to break open the door and get my dad out of there. As I try to pry the door open, it immediately swings open and a force pushes me into the couch. I am blinded by a white light and the thick smoke escapes the bathroom. I cover my eyes as the light fades away. My eyes adjusted to the lighting in the room, a large blurry body was stepping out of the bathroom.

January 1st 12:01AM

My eyes finally readjusted, but what I saw was nothing I was prepared to see. My dad came out of the bathroom alright, but he had become a man I never knew he would be.

My dad had become a giant! He now dawned massive muscles all over his body. His biceps were the size of footballs, with thick veins running all over his arms. His chest was now pushed out, with thick pecs and a nice dusting of hair across the smooth muscle. His once massive gut now was a nice set of abs. My dad smiled at me, like he had gone through both a physical change and a mental change as well. I look at the TV and it was now officially the New Year. I then think about the resolution site I had used the day before, maybe he should bookmark it and make a resolution for himself at the end of this new year.
