2020 Ford Edge ST-Line Model Specifications
What will the 2020 Ford Edge ST-Line model cost?
The Ford Edge ST has outsold previous Ford Edge Sport vehicles, inspiring Ford to create a new model for this popular SUV. The Ford Edge ST-Line model takes cues from the Ford Edge ST, as you might guess from its name. Keep reading below to learn about the 2020 Ford Edge ST-Line model specifications and price.
Will the 2020 Ford Edge ST-Line be less expensive than the Ford Edge ST?
Yes, the 2020 Ford Edge ST-Line will come with a lower starting price than the Ford Edge ST. In fact, the 2020 Ford Edge ST-Line starts out at a price $8,600 CDN less than the price of the Ford Edge ST. This price drop reflects the fact that the 2020 Ford Edge ST-Line has given up the full performance and power of the Ford Edge ST.
2020 Ford Edge ST-Line – standard technology
The standard technology on the 2020 Ford Edge ST-Line is more than competent to give its passengers a good time. Entertainment technology includes Apple CarPlay
Tumblr media
and Android Auto
Tumblr media
capability for smartphone users. To keep those smartphones charged, the 2020 Ford Edge ST-Line offers a wireless phone charging pad.
2020 Ford Edge ST-Line – performance
The 2020 Ford Edge ST-Line takes all of the performance-inspired design cues without the powerful performance specification of the Ford Edge ST. Still, it offers enough power for most drivers, clocking in at 250 horsepower. Its 8-speed automatic transmission pairs with a 2 L EcoBoost ® engine to deliver all that power in a fun and controllable way.
When can I purchase the 2020 Ford Edge ST-Line?
Orders for the 2020 Ford Edge ST-Line are already being taken. If you have been considering the Ford Edge ST, but have been waiting for a discount, then you may consider the 2020 Ford Edge ST-Line if you don’t mind compromising on some power. Talk to our sales team about placing your order today.

2020 Ford Edge ST-Line First Look: Edgy Looks, Mundane Powertrain
In Ford-speak, ST is short for Sport Technologies. It’s like M, AMG, or any of the other performance acronyms we’ve come to know and love over the years. Ford’s ST models are nothing new; it’s ST-Line of vehicles, however, are. Cue the 2020 Ford Edge ST-Line. It is not a variant of the six-cylinder Edge ST. Instead, the Edge ST-Line is a slightly sportier version of Ford’s run-of-the-mill, four-cylinder, mid-size crossover.
In short, the ST-Line brings the looks of the ST, but not its price or performance, to the standard Edge. The model includes sporty-looking body cladding, an ST-style grille, more aggressive side skirts, a set of gloss-black 20-inch wheels, and requisite ST-Line badging (so no one confuses it for a real ST).
Like almost all other Edge models (sans the ST), the ST-Line relies on a 250-horsepower turbocharged 2.0-liter inline-four for motivation. Those horses are routed to the front wheels by way of an eight-speed automatic gearbox. All-wheel-drive, however, is an option. Those looking for a little extra dynamic capability from the Edge ST-Line can opt for the ST Performance Brake package. Ford did not share what comes with the package, but it’s safe to assume the option adds—at the very least—more fade-resistant brake pads. Other options include automatic parking, adaptive cruise control, and a lane-centering system.
With Ford abandoning the Fiesta and Focus in the states, the brand’s crossover SUVs are attempting to step up to fill the practical performance hole in the Blue Oval’s lineup. Notably, Ford also sells an ST variant of the Explorer. While neither the Edge or Explorer ST are true replacements for the Fiesta and Focus STs of yore, both crossovers at least attempt to push performance boundaries.
The Edge ST-Line, though, comes off as somewhat half-baked. After all, it takes more than some racy-looking trim and nice wheels to make a performance vehicle. That said, the Edge ST-Line will likely do the trick for those who care more about looking like they drive a sporty crossover above all else. Plus, with a starting price of $39,345, the Edge ST-Line starts at more than $5,000 less than its ST sibling. If you prefer value and sporty looks over actual performance, then this might be the Edge for you.

College basketball conference tournament dates, locations, and ineligible teams
Tumblr media
Gregory Fisher-USA TODAY Sports
Championship Week is here. This is when every conference tournament begins, plus the teams that can’t make the Big Dance.
Championship Week is the best, but only if you’re properly educated. Thankfully, this guide is here to help ensure that anyone who wants to experience the highest dosage of madness possible has the ability to do so.
Now if your only interest in March college basketball lies with the teams that have a “real” shot to win a national title, that’s fine — but this might not be for you. Our time together is coming soon.
For the rest of you, it’s time for a thorough run through of everything you need to know to get the most of the “madness before the madness.” This is a time primarily for the leagues that don’t get the national spotlight, so focus in this guide is going to exclude the nine “major” (the “Power 5” leagues plus the Big East, AAC, Atlantic 10, and Mountain West) conferences.
Let’s get to it.
Complete conference tournament dates and locations
It’s the most logical, if not exciting, jumping off point. We’ll go ahead and include all conferences here because it’s March and in March rules are fluid.
There are a handful of format, location and scheduling changes this season. The most notable is that the Mountain West tournament — headlined by once-beaten San Diego State — will be played a week earlier than usual. The league will go back to its typical schedule, with the tournament championship game played on Selection Sunday Eve, in 2021. On the flip side, the MAAC tournament will be played a week later than usual, meaning the Saturday before Selection Sunday will still have its standard 14 conference championship games.
Here’s the full schedule:
American: March 12-15, Dickies Arena (Fort Worth, Texas)
ACC: March 10-14, Greensboro Coliseum (Greensboro, North Carolina)
America East: March 7, 10, 14, Campus sites
Atlantic 10: March 11-15, Barclays Center (Brooklyn)
Atlantic Sun: March 3, 5, 8, Campus sites
Big East: March 11-14, Madison Square Garden (New York)
Big Sky: March 11-14, CenturyLink Arena (Boise)
Big South: March 3, 5, 6, 8, Campus sites
Big 12: March 11-14, Sprint Center (Kansas City)
Big Ten: March 11-15, Bankers Life Fieldhouse (Indianapolis)
Big West: March 12-14, Honda Center (Anaheim)
Colonial: March 7-10, Entertainment and Sports Arena (Washington, DC)
Conference USA: March 11-14, Ford Center at The Star (Frisco, Texas)
Horizon League: March 3, 5, 9-10, Campus sites & Indiana Farmers Coliseum (Indianapolis)
Ivy League: March 14-15, Lavietes Pavilion (Cambridge, Massachusetts)
MAAC: March 10-14, Jim Whelan Boardwalk Hall (Atlantic City, New Jersey.)
MAC: March 9, 12-14, Campus sites & Rocket Mortgage Fieldhouse (Cleveland)
MEAC: March 10-14, Norfolk Scope Arena (Norfolk, Virginia)
Missouri Valley: March 5-8, Enterprise Center (St. Louis)
Mountain West: March 4-7, Thomas & Mack Center (Las Vegas)
Northeast: March 4, 7 , 10, Campus sites
Ohio Valley: March 4-7, Ford Center (Evansville, Indiana)
Pac-12: March 11-14, T-Mobile Arena (Las Vegas)
Patriot: March 3, 5, 8, 11, Campus sites
SEC: March 11-15, Bridgestone Arena (Nashville)
Southern: March 6-9, U.S. Cellular Center (Asheville, North Carolina)
Southland: March 11-14, Leonard E. Merrell Center (Katy, Texas)
Summit: March 7-10, Denny Sanford Premier Center (Sioux Falls, South Dakota)
Sun Belt: March 7, 9, 11, 14-15, Campus sites and Smoothie King Center (New Orleans)
SWAC: March 10, 13-14, Campus sites and Bill Harris Arena (Birmingham)
WAC: March 12-14, Orleans Arena (Las Vegas)
West Coast: March 5-7, 9-10, Orleans Arena (Las Vegas)
If you’re looking for a more concise way to keep track of which tournaments are happening on what days and where you can watch the action, here’s a handy chart courtesy of @HeatCheckCBB.

Ineligible teams
Six Division-I teams are currently ineligible to participate in the NCAA tournament in 2020, two more than the number we saw a year ago. Only one of those squads — Detroit Mercy of the Horizon League — is ineligible because of subpar APR scores, the lowest total since the APR became a thing.
The most notable postseason exclusion is Merrimack, which won the Northeast Conference’s regular season title in its first season as a member of Division-I. Unfortunately, per (dumb) NCAA rules, the still transitioning Warriors will not be allowed to play in this week’s NEC tournament. Merrimack is also ineligible for both the NCAA tournament and the NIT, but can play in either the CBI or the CIT, which are both real postseason tournaments that actually exist.
Two other transitioning programs — North Alabama of the Atlantic Sun and Cal Baptist of the WAC — are also ineligible for the NCAA tournament and the NIT. Like Merrimack, Cal Baptist is ineligible from participating in its conference tournament, but North Alabama is eligible and will be the No. 5 seed in this week’s Atlantic Sun tournament. If the Lions win the tournament, the league’s automatic bid will go to the tournament runner-up.
Georgia Tech of the ACC was hit with a postseason ban for NCAA rules violations just before the start of the season. The Yellow Jackets had been appealing the decision and were eligible for the ACC tournament up until Monday, when the school announced that it was withdrawing its appeal.
Florida A&M of the MEAC is the only other team that won’t be participating in March Madness. The Rattlers are banned from the postseason due to NCAA sanctions.
Here is the full list of teams that cannot dance this year:
Detroit Mercy (Horizon League)
Merrimack (Northeast)
Georgia Tech (ACC)
North Alabama (Atlantic Sun)
Cal Baptist (WAC)
Florida A&M (MEAC)

The Heartbreak, Gilas Pilipinas
Tumblr media
Photos from news.abs-cbn.com
 at sa mga players na nagrepresenta para sa ating bansa;
Andray Blatche
Paul Lee
Kiefer Ravena
Gabe Norwood
Robert Bolick
Mark Barroca
June Mar Fajardo
Roger Pogoy
CJ Perez
Troy Rosario
Raymond Almazan
Japeth Aguilar
Gilas Pilipinas , it is indeed a disappointing performance in the recent FIBA World Cup, with an average of 29.4 points nakalamangan ng kalaban.
2019 FIBA World Cup Results
Gilas Pilipinas vs:
Group Stage
Italy 108-62       (-46)
Serbia 126-67    (-59)
Angola 84-81 OT (-3)
Second Round
Tunisia 86-67 (-19)
Iran 95-75 (-20)
Tumblr media
Photos from teampilipinas.info
Tumblr media
Photos from rappler.com
Angola 84 – Gilas 81 OT.

Olympic Slot still Alive.
 Scenario for Gilas to Advance.
China must not win their last 2 Games against Korea and Nigeria.
Korea can only win against China and must lose to Nigeria.
Gilas must win their 2 remaining games against Tunisia and Iran.
(The Scenario that did not happen)
China wins against Korea.
 Tunisia vs  Gilas
Tunisia 86 – Gilas 67.
Tumblr media
Photos from news.abs-cbn.com
Last Hope for a win.
A game with Iran, a familiar foe for Gilas. Iran 95 – Gilas 75.
Tumblr media
Photos from sports.abs-cbn.com
 Montenegro 90 – Japan 75
Jordan 79 – Senegal 77

“The Gilas Problem”
-          3 pts shot
Isa sa mga inaasahan ko na magiging bala natin para sa World Cup ay ang galing natin sa tres, with Pogoy, Rosario, Barroca, Lee, Ravena, Bolick, Perez at pati na rin si Andray Blatche, sadyang minalas talaga tayo sa buong kompetisyon. Sa limang laro ng Gilas sa 2019 FIBA World Cup;
36-143 or 25.2 % or an average of 7.2  3-points made in 28.6 attempts per game.
-          Preparation
 Lack of Preparation/Chemistry
Tumblr media
Photos from news.abs-cbn.com
·         Bagong build na line-up .
·         Injuries (Matthew Wright, Marcio Lassiter, Poy Erram).
·         Back-out or unavailability of players (Ray Parks, Jayson Castro at naturalization issue of Jordan Clarkson).
·         PBA Commissioner’s Cup Finals.
·         Kiefer Ravena late availability to play.
·         Warm-up games.
We are disappointed indeed. I think Gilas need to re-focus and make a proper time schedule for our national team. With Coach Yeng resigning as the Head Coach of Gilas, Samahang Basketbol ng Pilipinas (SBP) are eager to have a replacement for the Gilas Coaching Post.
 GILAS 23 for 23 prospects.

Gilas… Next?
Tim Cone for Gilas

MELBOURNE, Australia, September 10, 2019 – The new-generation Ford Focus ST, developed under the leadership of Ford Performance, brings Australian enthusiasts the most advanced, capable Focus ST to date with more power, technology and choice. Based on the new-generation Focus’ C2 platform, the Focus ST brings an automatic variant for the first time, as well as the traditional enthusiast-focussed six-speed manual with rev-matching. In addition to expanded Selectable Drive Modes, there’s new technology including Continuously Controlled Damping (CCD), an electronic Limited Slip Differential (eLSD), and 2.3L turbocharged engine. “The Focus ST joins the Fiesta ST for 2020, offering a full suite of Ford Performance hot hatches for local enthusiasts,” said Kay Hart, President and CEO, Ford Australia and New Zealand. “Both bring new technology, with the Focus ST building on the innovation and tech leadership of the new-generation Focus, delivering a highly capable and livable performance hatch.” The Focus ST will be fully-imported from Germany, and will be on sale in Australia in 2020 with an MLP of $44,6901 for the 6-speed manual. A 7-speed paddleshift automatic is offered as a no-cost-option, with the ST taking the advanced C2 platform of the new Focus, introduced to Australia in late 2018, as a foundation to offer greater cabin space, cargo capacity as well as dynamic capability based upon a platform that delivers a 20 percent increase in torsional rigidity over the outgoing model. “Intelligent technologies like eLSD and CCD make our new-generation Focus ST the most ‘Jekyll and Hyde’ yet, able to switch from refined tourer to focussed performance car at the push of a button,” said Leo Roeks, Ford Performance director, Europe. “We’ve incorporated learnings from programs including our Ford GT supercar and the acclaimed Focus RS to develop a mid-size performance car with a degree of flexibility that’s unique in its segment.”
Focus ST: Looks that skill The Focus ST’s features both inside and out are designed to showcase its performance intent from any angle, building on the new-generation Focus’ core elements to deliver a Ford Performance optimised package. Immediately apparent, an aggressive stance is achieved with 19-inch machined alloy wheels, fitted with 235/35 Michelin Pilot Sport 4S tyres, as standard, with suspension that lowers ride height by 10mm over the standard Focus model. The Focus ST’s larger front and rear brake components are clearly visible, standing out with red brake calipers that clamp larger 330mm front and 302mm rear ventilated discs. A new electronic brake booster improves brake pedal feel, while braking performance was verified using the same demanding test procedures as the Ford GT supercar, and saw almost four-times the fade resistance performance of the previous generation Focus ST in testing. The Focus ST also boasts a honeycomb front grille, with LED headlight and taillights featuring LED Daytime Running Lights and for a signature look, with unique front and rear bumpers incorporating LED fog lamps and sculpted side-skirts producing a muscular look. An integrated spoiler caps off the major exterior changes on the ST’s hatch. Details include dual chrome exhaust tips, rear privacy glass as well as heated power-folding exterior mirrors with puddle lamps. There’s also unique ST badging in the front grille and rear hatch, exterior colour options chosen to emphasise the Focus ST’s dynamic styling including exclusive Ford Performance Blue and Orange Fury, alongside Frozen White, Magnetic (grey), Race Red, Ruby Red and Shadow Black2. The attention to detail continues inside the Focus ST. The heated Recaro sports seats are trimmed in leather and suede, with larger bolsters for improved lateral support during cornering, and feature ST logos, with lumbar support on the driver’s seat. Interior space is improved for the new-generation Focus ST, thanks to a 53mm increase in wheelbase, with greater occupant space in both front and second rows for greater comfort and convenience. Ford Performance instrumentation is standard, as are aluminium pedals that are matched to a chrome gear-lever for the six-speed manual, while the automatic Focus ST takes advantage of the new-generation e-shifter, which liberates space while enabling a cleaner console look. An electronic park brake also enhances space and interior sophistication for either transmission choice, while a flat-bottom heated ST steering wheel, wrapped in perforated leather, houses audio and SYNC 3 controls while delivering a premium feel and engagement for the driver.
Focus ST: Connectivity, technology and safety SYNC 33 as standard is another feature that brings livability and technology to the Focus ST. This includes a high-definition 8.0-inch touchscreen display, which includes Apple CarPlay and Android Auto smartphone capability4. Functions, including Siri, can be accessed via the steering-wheel mounted voice activation controls, with capabilities including voice-activated text messaging. In addition, the Focus ST’s standard built-in sat-nav can also be accessed by voice-command, with the system specially engineered to comprehend Australian accents. The Focus ST also features wireless smartphone charging as standard, with technology including keyless entry and push-button engine start, ambient LED lighting and dual-zone climate control. A five-star ANCAP rating was awarded to the new-generation Focus line-up in 2019, with the standardisation of the Driver Assist Technology (DAT)5 praised by ANCAP CEO James Goodwin. The Focus ST includes a full suite of safety and DAT as standard, including:
Autonomous Emergency Braking (AEB) with Cyclist and Pedestrian Detectioniv
Blind Spot Information System (BLIS) with Cross Traffic Alert
Lane Departure Warning
Lane Keep Assist
Adaptive Cruise Control (ACC)
Hill Launch Assist
180-degree full-colour, high-definition rear-view camera
Dynamic Stability Control
Driver, Driver’s side, Passenger Side and full curtain airbags
Auto high-beam headlights
LED Daytime Running Lights
Focus ST: Focus RS-developed powertrain The new all-aluminium 2.3-litre, turbocharged powertrain is the most potent ever offered in a Focus ST. Using advanced turbocharging technology to deliver 206kW6of power at 5,500 rpm – an increase of 22kW over the outgoing Focus ST – and a significant jump in torque, from 360Nm previously to 420Nmv , it is also the most free-revving Focus ST engine ever. Engine response is enhanced using a low-inertia twin-scroll turbocharger, which scavenges exhaust gas energy more effectively using separated channels to minimise interference between gas pulses. An electronically actuated waste-gate allows closer control of boost pressures for optimised engine performance. In addition, a unique exhaust system that reduces back pressure, bespoke air intake system and optimised intercooler further improve breathing. Innovative anti-lag technology developed for the Ford GT supercar and F-150 Raptor pick-up is introduced to the Focus ST, for immediate power delivery in Sport and Track Drive Modes. Anti‑lag keeps the throttle open when the driver lifts off the accelerator pedal, alleviating the reversal of air flow from the turbocharger to maintain compressor wheel speed and enabling boost pressure to build faster on demand. The Focus ST’s six-speed manual transmission enables more urgent gear-changes and provides a sportier feel with a shift-throw reduction of 7 percent compared with the standard all-new Focus. Ford’s rev-matching technology that debuted on the new Ford Mustang is standard for manual models. Delivering smoother, faster downshifts, the technology is accompanied by a shift indicator light, and uses the engine’s electronic control system to briefly ‘blip’ the throttle as the driver engages a lower gear – matching the engine rotation speed to that of the gear that is being selected. Rev-matching enables less-experienced performance drivers to benefit from the seamless, momentum-maintaining gearshifts delivered by the heel-and-toe driving technique. A new seven-speed paddleshift automatic will complement the rewarding, engaging and sporty 2.3-litre engine’s driving experience. Adaptive Shift Scheduling assesses individual driving styles to optimise gearshift timings, and is enhanced to offer more flexibility and the ability to differentiate between road and track use. Drivers can also select gears manually using steering wheel-mounted paddle-shifters.
Selectable Drive Modes: Focus ST’s smart chassis Building on accomplished Ford Focus’ driving dynamics, the new-generation Focus ST was developed to blend B-road fun-to-drive, legitimate track-day performance, and everyday usability. “Our target was to deliver an new-generation Focus ST that is as effortless to drive day-to-day as the rest of the Focus line-up,” Roeks said. “The model’s comprehensive range of technologies means customers gain exhilarating ST performance without sacrifice.” This flexibility and capability is accessed via Selectable Drive Modes that optimise the Focus ST’s capabilities for road (or track) conditions ahead. Slippery, Normal, Sport and Track Drive Modes adjust the eLSD, CCD, EPAS, throttle mapping, automatic transmission shift scheduling, electronic stability control (ESC), electronic sound enhancement (ESE) and climate settings to suit the driving scenario. A dedicated “Sport” button on the flat-bottomed steering wheel gives direct access to Sport mode, and an additional “Mode” button allows drivers to quickly scroll through the Drive Mode options. “Selecting Track mode instantly introduces higher steering efforts for more feedback; tunes the throttle to be more aggressive; instructs the eLSD to deliver maximum traction; and gives drivers more leeway within the ESC system,” Roeks said. “Drivers can have full confidence in the Focus ST’s ability to deliver on the track.” The Focus ST’s chassis brings a unique fully-independent rear suspension configuration that helps optimise the vehicle’s responses to driver inputs without sacrificing comfort. The agile and energetic character of the standard Focus is retained using the original spring specifications, with damping stiffness increased up to 20 percent at the front and 13 percent at the rear, and ride height reduced by 10mm, to improve road-holding and response in performance driving scenarios. The chassis upgrades also include Ford’s sophisticated Continuously Controlled Damper (CCD) technology for the first time on a Focus in Australia. The system monitors suspension, body, steering and braking inputs every 2 milliseconds to adjust damping responses for outstanding ride quality and driving dynamics. Also improving capability is the eLSD. The Borg Warner-developed technology is faster to deploy and offers greater precision than a traditional mechanical LSD. The system can pre-emptively adjust torque distribution using inputs from powertrain and vehicle dynamics sensors, rather than responding to wheelspin as it occurs, and can apply differential locking gradually for fine-tuning performance. The all-new Focus ST also takes Ford’s fastest-steering-response crown from the acclaimed Fiesta ST. The electric power-assisted steering (EPAS) system is 15 percent faster than the standard Focus, requiring just two turns lock-to-lock. Class-leading connected feel is supported by unique steering knuckle geometry, with a rod attachment point 9mm further forward and 6.5mm higher than the standard Focus for sharper responses. New Steering Torque Disturbance Reduction software for EPAS also helps reduce torque steer, making it even easier to deploy with precision the Focus ST’s power and torque. The new-generation Focus ST will arrive in Australian showrooms in Q1, 2020.

2020 Ford Edge Performance Specifications
How powerful is the 2020 Ford Edge?
The 2020 Ford Edge is a powerful SUV with two engine options and plenty of performance features to give you a boosted drive. Below, we’ll go over some of the top 2020 Ford Edge performance specifications and features. Keep reading to learn just how powerful the 2020 Ford Edge is.
Four performance features of the 2020 Ford Edge
2020 Ford Edge – auto start-stop technology
This technology is standard. Designed to help improve the 2020 Ford Edge vehicle’s fuel economy, auto start-stop helps in particular with city driving. You know, the sort of driving where you start and stop and start and stop repetitively with small portions of driving in between. When you come to a stop, this technology shuts off the engine automatically, restarting it when your foot comes off the brake pedal. This prevents fuel from being wasted at stoplights or stop signs.
2020 Ford Edge – intelligent all-wheel drive (AWD)
Intelligent AWD is an available feature that improves the handling of the 2020 Ford Edge. As you may know, AWD is the preferred setup for off-roading and driving on roads with less traction. You’ll experience the best of both worlds with Intelligent AWD.
2020 Ford Edge – engine options
The two available engine options for the 2020 Ford Edge are its turbocharged, direct injection twin-scroll, 2 L EcoBoost ® engine and its more athletic 2.7 L EcoBoost ®. The 2.7 L engine is rated at 335 horsepower and 380 pound-feet of torque. This engine comes standard on the ST trim level, a trim level designed to give you the most responsive handling and maneuverability available.
2020 Ford Edge – performance driving dynamics
Another win for the ST trim level is its Ford Performance tuned suspension. This suspension keeps your 2020 Ford Edge in control, helping you round corners with stability and steering precision. The best way to feel the difference is with a couple of test drives here at Sherwood Ford.

2020 Ford Bronco Scout/Adventurer: Everything We Know
International Harvester introduced its Scout SUV five years before the launch of the 1966 Ford Bronco. So it almost seems fitting that Ford’s new, rugged-looking Escape-based Bronco Scout—which may actually end up being called the Ford Adventurer—will launch before the highly anticipated Ranger-based Bronco. Shown here are artist’s renderings of what we think it will look like.
The smaller off-road SUV will be billed as the off-road antidote to the 2020 Escape, which itself has been redesigned to look like a tall Focus wagon. Word is the Adventurer/Bronco Scout chassis is being tuned for trail traction in order for it to compete with the likes of Jeep’s unibody, transverse-engine models (Cherokee, Compass, Renegade), though size-wise, the small Ford will compete most directly with the Compass.
Engine choices will mimic what’s available for the new Escape, from a 1.5-liter EcoBoost inline-three with 180 horsepower and 177 lb-ft to a 2.0-liter EcoBoost four-cylinder with 250 horsepower and 275 lb-ft, plus two hybrids—a conventional hybrid and a plug-in-hybrid option—both coupled to a 2.5-liter Atkinson cycle four. Cargo capacity should also be similar to that of the new Escape, which has 38 cubic feet of space behind the second row (34 in the hybrids) and 65 cubic feet behind the first row (61 in the hybrids).
Ford is targeting the iconic Jeep Wrangler with its new-age body-on-frame Bronco and is planning two- and four-door versions to battle the Wrangler and Wrangler Unlimited. We’re hearing that the Bronco will come with an independent front suspension and a solid Dana rear axle, and Ford has patented both a removable/retractable roof and a take on removable doors that have tube doors hidden inside. We also learned that the company is planning a Bronco pickup truck to battle the Jeep Gladiator.
The Bronco is expected to launch with the Ranger’s 270-hp, 310-lb-ft 2.3-liter EcoBoost turbo-four paired with a 10-speed automatic transmission. A hybrid model, likely with a version of the Explorer’s 3.3-liter Atkinson cycle V-6 with a 1.5-kW-hr lithium-ion battery pack, is also in the pipeline.
After the initial launch in the fourth quarter of next year (the Bronco will be built at the same Michigan Assembly Plant as the Ranger), Ford is expected to offer a variant of its 2.7-liter twin-turbo V-6 making about 350 horsepower and as much as 400 lb-ft of torque as part of the Bronco’s powertrain mix. It’s uncertain whether Ford will name it the Bronco Raptor or Bronco ST, although an all-new Ranger, due in the 2023 model year, will also be offered with the engine and the Raptor name.
Aside from Shelby Mustangs and other pony-car variants, Ford Performance is relegated to Raptor variations of pickups and ST models of SUVs. Following on the heels of the new base Explorer after it goes on sale this fall will be the 2020 Explorer ST, powered by Ford’s 400-hp, 415-lb-ft 3.0-liter twin-turbo V-6 mated to a 10-speed automatic and rolling on 21-inch wheels. Within a couple of years, an all-new Edge will migrate to the Explorer’s rear-drive platform and get the same ST performance engine. Despite the big wheels with their heavy unsprung weight, the Explorer ST doesn’t have the harsh ride and overly quick steering of some performance sport utilities, as we discovered during our first drive; rather, enthusiasts will appreciate the difference in the ST’s dynamics compared with other Explorers.

FORD EDGE ST 2019, THE BIGGEST ST OF THE EARTH ... FOR THE MOMENT!

FORD EDGE ST 2019, THE BIGGEST ST OF THE EARTH ... FOR THE MOMENT!
More details to be tweaked as Ford ventures into the field of sport SUVs In case you do not know yet, the Ford manufacturer has decided to affix the ST badge on the Ford Edge at the end of 2018. The Ford Edge ST 2019 is the first utility to inherit this prestigious "badge" that had even crossed the Atlantic in the form of Fiesta and Focus ST over the last few years. But, things have changed at Ford for a little over a year. All that is called "car" disappears from the lineup with the exception of the sporty Mustang, and this, to the benefit of a range more utilitarian than ever. And to satisfy sports drivers, Ford has decided to turn its five-seater crossover into something a little more spicy for 2019. It remains to be seen if this big vehicle will succeed in making us forget the two small nerve cars that we enjoy so much in recent seasons.
Tumblr media
FORD EDGE ST 2019, THE BIGGEST ST OF THE EARTH ... FOR THE MOMENT!
What's different about this Ford Edge ST?  The manufacturer did not just put badges ST at both ends of the vehicle for this new model, fortunately indeed! First, the exterior design is a bit more aggressive, whether it's the front bumper, 21-inch rims (optional in this case, the original ones are 20 inches in size), or even the rear which stands out especially by these false trapezoidal exhaust pipes. Obviously, this Blue Performance body color draws attention, but be aware that the manufacturer offers less conspicuous choices. The ST echelon also comes with reworked shock absorbers, larger anti-roll bars, larger rear brake discs, performance brake pads, in addition to wider (21-inch) and lower profile tires. . FORD EDGE ST engine But that's not all, as the 2.7-liter Ecoboost twin-turbo V6 gains power and torque over last year's Sport Edition, with a total of 335 horsepower and 380 lb-ft. optimal torque. Coupled with this 6-cylinder, the eight-speed automatic responds present, she who can shift gears faster when the Sport mode engaged. The latter is activated via the button located in the center of the wheel of the gearbox.
Tumblr media
FORD EDGE ST 2019, THE BIGGEST ST OF THE EARTH ... FOR THE MOMENT!
FORD EDGE ST interior Like any sport model, the Ford Edge ST also comes with a revamped interior to satisfy the fans. The ST edition still remains sober, with a leather-wrapped steering wheel with an ST badge at its base, insertions alcantara suede seats at center of door sill FORD PERFORMANCE, not to mention the ST logo embossed to the front seats. At the wheel of a heavy vehicle A performance utility vehicle must give a little more in terms of handling, acceleration and even braking. With some modifications made by the performance wing, the Ford Edge ST is undoubtedly the most animated in the range, the mechanics that adds punch to acceleration, and this, even if the ST model displays a weight of 2,030 kg. This weight is one of the Achilles heels of this model. You have to work a little harder to tackle a sharp change. Even though, in these winter conditions, it is better to plan braking distances than to be in the set, if you know what I mean! The suspension is drier than in the regular liveries of the model, a detail that is obvious after only a few meters. I also attribute this feat of arms to low-profile tires installed on the utility, not to mention the state of this roads. On the highway, it's ok, but on a bumpy road, the Edge ST is a little too jumpy.
Tumblr media
FORD EDGE ST 2019, THE BIGGEST ST OF THE EARTH ... FOR THE MOMENT!
When the Sport mode is engaged, the changes in the transmission are a little more abrupt. Do not believe, however, that the transmission works wonders like German double-clutch gearboxes. To arrive at an optimal speed change, it is necessary to cheat on the precise moment to change oneself the reports with the pallets mounted with the steering wheel, an operation which is not optimal, you will agree. Fortunately, the delay for downgrades is shorter. Sport mode has a direct effect on the musicality of the exhaust system which is more convincing when the engine is running at high speed. At highway speeds, however, the SUV becomes quiet again, as it should be.   The Ford Edge ST which was lent to me for this winter test was afflicted by an unpleasant friction during braking. Toward the end of the test, however, I noticed that the vibration had eased somewhat. After verification, the technicians found nothing on the vehicle that was only 5000 km on the meter.
Tumblr media
FORD EDGE ST 2019, THE BIGGEST ST OF THE EARTH ... FOR THE MOMENT!
Noticeable quality despite the badge
Ford products still suffer from a noticeable assembly quality. Some panels are less aligned and I must admit that some plastics in the cabin are of average quality. This is where we recognize the more modest origins of the crossover, despite the prestige of the ST crest.
I also had to deal with an electric tailgate that refused to close. To close it, I had to push it manually. After checking with the manufacturer, the latter was misaligned. It's not a major trouble, but for an SUV over $ 55,000, it's a little disappointing!
Tumblr media
FORD EDGE ST 2019, THE BIGGEST ST OF THE EARTH ... FOR THE MOMENT!
The Word of the End Can the Ford Edge ST be recognized as an authentic SUV? The answer is yes, although there are more agile options on the market. Let's not forget that this is Ford's first foray into the sports SUV segment. It is possible to hope for a better result with the Explorer ST 2020 which leaves on a more modern platform and an even more powerful mechanics.
Tumblr media
FORD EDGE ST 2019, THE BIGGEST ST OF THE EARTH ... FOR THE MOMENT!
The Ford Edge ST is not perfect: it is heavy to handle, the automatic transmission could be more dynamic and comfort could be improved somewhat, but when the right foot sinks into the floor and the V6 Ecoboost s' expresses loudly, we understand why there are ST badges at both ends of the vehicle. Despite the effort, the newcomer will not make me forget the two small ST bombs. By the way, I just started looking for a used Fiesta ST! FORD EDGE ST 2019 price is available from $ 55,000 -SEE ALSO:

2020 is proving to be an important year for Ford. They created a lot of excitement when they declared that they would stop producing all of the passenger vehicles other than the Mustang from the American market. That means that the Taurus, Fusion, Fiesta, C-Max, and Focus have seen their last days after many years and many more units have gone through the production line.
With that said, Ford is working on being a leaner, lighter, and more focused car company. Many believe this is the right move in a quickly evolving and cutthroat industry. So what’s in the 2020 Ford Lineup?
Continue reading and we’ll walk you through everything you need to know
2020 Mustang Shelby GT500
The Shelby is just one of many new Ford cars worth knowing about.
In 2019, Ford presented us with the most powerful factory Mustang ever built. The 2020 Shelby GT500 comes with a 5.2L V8 powerplant, which is similar to the GT350’s. A big difference though is that the GT500 doesn’t use a flat-plane crank.
The powerplant is made of hand-built aluminum-alloy and uses a 2.65L roots-type supercharger. This helps to boost the power output to an incredible 625 pound-feet of torque and 760 horsepower.
While the transmission isn’t manual, you do get a nice 7-speed dual-clutch automatic transmission that can also be found in the Ford GT.
2020 Bronco
The Ford Bronco has been out of commission since 1996. But after years of absence, it’s finally back and better than ever.
This car is built upon the Ford Ranger and offers some tough competition to the Jeep Wrangler. It will also be coming out in both long and short wheelbase configurations (aka four and two doors) and it comes with removable doors and top.
Ford is also working with Magna PT on developing a new manual 7-speed gearbox. Another cool thing is that the Bronco will be getting a hybrid setup.
2020 Ranger
The new Ford Ranger features top of the line towing and payload capacities of 7,500 and 1,860 pounds respectively. This mid-size truck is available in both the SuperCrew and SuperCab configurations with trim levels that correspond to the bigger F-150.
A new 2020 addition is the FX2 package which is only available on the rear-wheel-drive models. That package is meant for people who love to go off-roading. It also adds specially tuned suspension, an electronic-locking rear differential, and off-road tires.
The entire fleet of Rangers in North America is getting the same engine. That’s a 2.3L EcoBoost 4-cylinder which provides 310 pound-feet of torque and 270 horsepower. There’s also an automatic 10-speed gearbox.
It should be noted that both the all-wheel- and rear-wheel-drive configurations are available throughout the range.
2020 Explorer
The Ford Explorer hasn’t truly been updated since 2016 when it was given a mid-cycle facelift.
The sixth-generation Ford Explorer first debuted in 2019. It’s based on the Lincoln Aviator and shares that vehicle’s CD6 platform. But the Explorer comes with a more affordable price.
Even though the next-generation models aren’t incredibly different from the previous ones in terms of the design language, these models still show major upgrades in all other areas. The 2020 Ford Explorer offers a three-row SUV and some exciting new driving dynamics.
The new Explorer also comes with three different powertrains. Most consumers will get to choose between 3.3L naturally aspirated V6 with 318 hp or a 2.3L EcoBoost 4-cylinder with 300 hp.
Both of these engines are available in all-wheel- as well as rear-wheel-drive configurations. And they’re paired with a modern 10-speed transmission.
A smaller number of consumers will get the optional 3.0L twin-turbo V6. This engine is available on the Platinum trim and new Ford Explorer ST only.
The twin-turbo engine will provide you with 385 pound-feet of torque and 360 horsepower. However, the ST model is going to get you 415 pound-feet of torque and 400 horsepower. Ford also gave the ST a stiffer sport suspension which is nice.
2020 Expedition
The biggest SUV by ford was given a makeover for the 2018 year. While it’s not a whole different in 2020, it does now come standard with Ford’s Co-Pilot360 suite of electronic features and its Sync 3 infotainment system. Co-Pilot360 includes blind-spot monitors with rear cross-traffic alerts, pre-collision assist, adaptive cruise control, lane-keeping system, and other helpful features.
The 2020 Ford Expedition comes in two distinct sizes. The Expedition MAX comes with a 131.6 inches wheelbase. And the regular Expedition has a wheelbase that measures 122.5 inches long.
Both of these sizes are spacious and share the same drivetrain.
Each Ford Expedition comes with a 3.5L EcoBoost V6 engine no matter what the trim level or wheelbase is. That engine delivers 470 lb-ft of torque and 375 horsepower across most of the range. However, the Platinum trims deliver 480 lb-ft of torque and 400 horsepower.
All of the Expeditions come with a choice between four-wheel- and rear-wheel-drive. And they all come with a 10-speed automatic transmission.
The four-wheel-drive system comes with four different driving modes, including one that simulates rear-wheel-drive by utilizing a 2-speed transfer case.
The Importance of Knowing About the New 2020 Ford Lineup
As we can see, there are a lot of upgrades coming to the new 2020 Ford lineup. And pretty much all of them help to show that this is a car company that’s tough to beat.
Ford is an auto manufacturer that’s changed a lot over its 100+ year history. No matter what the economy or market throws at them, they continue to adapt and innovate. And 2020 is no different.
The only real question is, which Ford are you going to get?
