It really bothers me because I thought that after Get Out came out it would let black people finally break out in horror and it did but every black horror movie after Get Out is a Get Out knockoff that always has to do racial horror and I’m actually fucking sick of it. Like whenever Jordan Peele releases a new horror movie and everyone wants it to be another Get Out that they get disappointed and don’t even give movies like Nope a chance. Let black people fight aliens, let them fight zombies, let them fight ghosts that aren’t racist white people trying to put them back into slavery or some shit, give us more black slashers or something. I don’t fucking know.
