Rediscovering Tumblr

Last night, as I was scrolling through my phone, I noticed the Tumblr app. It’s been sitting there for a long time, but I hardly ever open it. These days, apps like Facebook, Instagram, X (formerly Twitter), and TikTok seem to dominate everyone’s attention. Honestly, I’d almost forgotten Tumblr was still around.

I even remembered a moment back in 2020 when a friend laughed at me for mentioning that I still had a Tumblr account. “Who even uses Tumblr anymore?” they said. Admittedly, I didn’t use it much either, but I never deleted it.

So, out of curiosity and because I wasn’t busy, I decided to open it again. That’s when it hit me—I’ve been on this platform since 2011. High school! As I scrolled through my old posts, it felt so nostalgic. I used to repost so many things back then. It was like diving into a time capsule of my teenage years.

It made me think, why not start using Tumblr again? It feels like a space where I can freely post my thoughts, travels, favorite places, and even some personal stuff. Who knows, maybe this will be my little corner of the internet once more. 😊
